I went for the vegan buffet and it literally consist of rice with different types of sauces to put over the rice ....there were pictures that showed breaded cauliflower but they were no where to found at the buffet. I wasn't really impressed and honestly I will not return. The buffet was definitely more hyped up online

Great restaurant! Nice variety on the lunch buffet, and the dishes contain just the right level of spice! Most Indian restaurants with buffets have such bland dishes, but Peacock is delicious! Clean restaurant, nice layout, good seating options. Very much enjoyed, will be returning soon!

We were very excited when we heard that Peacock Indian Cuisine in Dearborn had reopened. We went there tonight and I have to tell you it was very disappointing. My husband had the buffet and although there were quite a few items, the food did not look or taste very good. My daughter and I ordered a couple things off the menu and they were not tasty either. The only thing that was good was the garlic naan. We always wish for local businesses to succeed and hope this restaurant is able to change its quality of food. We will not be returning here.

Food was stale, sitting, tasteless.. this was just a waste of time n money! The condiment dishes were crusted on the sides like they have never been washed.The manager was very sweet, but nobody asked us if we needed anything. They did bring out fresh naan ,but doesn't taste n feel like real naan shd. It's the most expensive buffet in our parts n really under delivers.

For the price, the quantity and flavor just don't stack up. It's a shame, because Dearborn really needs a good Indian restaurant. You can travel to Troy for good Indian cuisine while paying for gas and come out paying about the same as if you dined here.

AMAZINGGG FOOD! Went as a group of 8 today during dinner time and everyone was so happy with their dishes. The food is excellent and has a nice atmosphere, though it looks like they’re a little under staffed I had the pleasure of meeting the chef whom I handed my plate to (lovely fellow really friendly) just wish their wait staff was a little more attentive nonetheless I will be coming back!

I feel like many of the reviews here are not real. I have went to the restaurant a few times and its not very busy at all. Food used to be ok but it got much worst. As soon as you go in you have to pay for the food before you eat and i feel thats very insulting to the customers. There inst a large variety of food options and even though the restaurant had no one there the trays were almost empty, and some didn't have any food. The service is terrible. After a few bad visits I wanted to give them a good review but was by far the worst experience ever. I dont recommend them to anyone

This buffet is only $15 for dinner all you can eat, I have seen some people call it expensive, but most entrees are around that price at the other restaurants in michigan, here we get entree quality but all you can eat and different dishes, I am embarrassed for anyone who thinks they are expensive and tries to give a bad name to a nice place, the way some of our people say it is haram to cut livelyhood away from a person. The food was great, we ate more here than we eat at other places and for 2/3 what we pay there, staff did their jobs and kept our food coming, we are happy to go here once or twice a week with our group of 9.

Very good! Nice lunch and dinner buffet every day, very good food and selections. Reasonably priced for the most part. The food wasn't watered down like some Indian restaurants will do, it was very flavorful and filling. I'm no expert on Indian food, but this was very good if you like Indian food.

I arrived at this place around 8:40/8:45 PM, after waiting for good 5 minutes at counter he comes out of kitchen and tells me we cant dine in as they dont serve food after 9:00PM, we can only do takeouts it was 8:53 at that time. I had 4 other people waiting in car. we just left. Never going back to this place. Owners please check your camera from 10/12/2019 for proof.

The staff is great, the people are super friendly. However, I think the food is REALLY over priced for the area, there are other Indian restaurants that are much cheaper. I ordered the buttered chicken, which I'm very familiar with, and was not a fan. It was WAY too sweet, I almost felt like I was eating a dessert, and there was no heat at all. Overall, pretty let down.

Only the buffet was available when we went. We tried everything and were so unimpressed. The employees were nice enough, but i felt like we were in a dying restaurant. Food seemed to have been sitting for a while. Naan was stale and burnt. Paneer butter masala seriously tasted like they used spaghetti sauce. The restaurant has potential to be decent if the cook would discover how to use garlic, onions, and green chilies. Food had no flavor at all. The only reason for 2 stars is that the kids liked getting a peacock feather to take home.

Delighted to have an Indian buffet here in Dearborn .....finally! Even better the buffet is open all day on Saturday and Sunday! Most Indian buffets close too early and are not available for dinner. This is the only one that is available for a weekend evening, so I'm thrilled! The food was spicy and fresh. Look forward to returning asap.

Ordered 2 orders of garlic naan and only got two pieces. Disappointing. The naan was more like Roti. Not good. The samosas were strange. I’ve never seen the dough of samosas look like this from any Indian restaurant I’ve been too. Save your money and try somewhere else. Very very bad.

Great place. Went for lunch with my coworkers and so glad we did. It’s an Indian buffet for dirt cheap in a nice place to eat. Food is great and fresh. From butter masala to chicken curry to paneer to biriyani to naan to multiple other vegetarian dishes... you can have your hearts desire based on your mood. This is absolutely my weekly lunch place. From walking in to eating is fast and easy. You are full, happy and satisfied when you leave. You didn’t break the bank for lunch and had a healthy delicious meal. Win win. Do yourself a favor, grab a few coworkers and take them to lunch here. Bond and chill over good food in a relaxing, quiet and clean restaurant.

The buffet is a little but overpriced and not many items, but the essentials are there and they taste amazing. Also, one type of rice only, and it's white rice. I'd love it if they had Biryani rice. It's quiet and never crowded. There's a dinner buffet coming soon and I'm expecting decency. Came in on a slower day it seemed, buffet was fresh and sizzling, we got the first dibs on it, and my gosh it was fresh as it looked, every darn item was delicious and we just wish we could come back for more but we filled up after 2 plates, the dessert was amazing too, never saw mango pudding before. We used to be regulars at maharajah, but its quality kept dwindling down. We tried peacock Indian Cuisine for the first time tonight, and it was quite pleasant! Sure, the decor is gaudy, but the food is really good and very affordable! We had the dinner buffet, there was a large selection of entrées that was constantly being replenished, and we only paid $15 per person. I’m glad that a decent Indian restaurant opened in Dearborn, and it’s halal too! Definitely coming back!

We went on saturday, was not super busy mid day, we needed 4 tables for our group, they made it quickly, and then we were surprised to find out it was all you can eat for a price way lower than our usual spots, the butter chicken was delicious, we all were so impressed, the lamb curry was super fresh and unique to our area, the other dishes were all quite tasty, the buffet was by far our favorite in Dearborn. The staff really gave an effort to keep our plates off our table as we kept using more and more because the buffet was great and we kept having to try it again and again over one whole hour. They accomadated our kids with high chairs without even being asked, we were pleased with the whole experience and that too for $15 a person and half that for kids and free for the little ones, what a steal! Thank you for your care to service and quality food even during a buffet, its rare and we hope other restaurants learn from you on how quality cant exist even in a buffet!

Buffet is vegan only now. :( We came for dinner buffet but wound up ordering off normal menu due to this. It was empty when we came in at 5 and by the time we left 40 min later only one other couple had come in. Pay/order at counter, self serve water. Register prompts you to tip even though theres not really a server. Food was good but entrees were $14/15 which isnt in line with self serve style for the portion size. I'll explore other options.

I am an Indian food connoisseur, a few things I don’t like doing is comparing in pricing... in my opinion Indian food for some reason is grosley underpriced! So when I saw the prices at this restaurant I figured wow, finally a place that knows what they are worth... each plate is about 2 dollars above the average going price. The issue I had is that off of the top of my head I can give 5 places that I had better food at for 2-3$ less. The reason I am giving this place 3 stars is that I hope they stick around because I love Indian/Pakistani food... but this place really wasn’t that good, please refine you’re skills and stick around so we can enjoy some of that great cousine in our city!!

I went to this restaurant from saw google review(4) but i was totally disappointed. There are very limited options and none of the options were not good. No starter, rice was not cooked properly gravy was mixed up well with chicken and other vegetables, Samosa was frozen and very bad sweets. Today I was there for lunch buffet and it was the worse lunch buffet ever! The Indian food was not ethnic at all compare to most Indian cuisines. Also the place not as clean as I would hope. They provided only vegetarian biryani that tasted nothing like biryani. They had wired dishes I never saw in any Indian cuisine. They only had two chicken dish that tasted okay and no meat dish at all. There was no service at all, we went in, we ate, and we paid, there was no communication. They need to work more on their buffet menu and their service.

Excellent food with excellent service! They have some interesting twists as well as all the usual favorites. I have seen some people complain about prices, but the prices seemed perfectly reasonable to me, so I'm not sure what they're talking about. The food requires a lot of work to prepare, and I think the results speak for themselves. I live a little far from the restaurant, but I still hope to visit often!

Dal curries were good in the Lunch Buffett. It was little odd, we were the only one in the restaurant for lunch around 1:30 PM.

Terrible food. A group of us came on a weekend evening and the place was deserted. There was one guy working there and he seemed to hate his job. He wouldnt come to our table and I had to go up to him multiple times to place our order and ask for waters. We ordered the butter chicken, chicken tikka (which was exactly the same as butter chicken) and lamb kadhai. All the entrees came with rice. We also ordered a few naans. The only edible food was the naan. The curry dishes tasted literally like they were days old. The flavor was so bad I could only take a few bites. The place closes at 10pm but they kicked us out at 9:45pm which I found rude as we were the only paying customers there. With the bad food and terrible service I will never come back. I hate to write such a negative review and really was hopeful for a good authentic Indian restaurant. But unfortunately this was just not it.

I paid $12 for a buffet with unlimited visits, and every dish seemed perfectly balanced, was not too spicy, and the onions, spice, and flavors balanced properly.

It was buffet only. The food was ok, but I've had much better. The naan on the buffet was crispy, the butter chicken was lacking in spices, and the prices were the same as the normal entrees, which would be ok if you could take some home.

The food is okay and we tried something called chicken Tikka fries which was out of my league. Can't say it's bad maybe I'm not sure if that food is for me. The restaurant owner/ Chef came directly to us and asked about the review, I kind of like that. The restaurant was almost empty but could see a lot of DoorDash and GrubHub

Was looking for good vegan Indian food. Happened to see someone from the kitchen on break and asked for a recommendation. Got the vegetable biryani and skipped the milk products. Got a big plate with lots of spiced rice, and baby potatoes with carrots on bottom. Added the cauliflower appetizer. Both dishes were pretty good. It would be good to add wait staff. The staff were attentive to concerns expressed by customers. They had a short staffed kitchen.

Really bad service, very expensive food ( campers to others Indian restaurant) , unprofessional staff members, and the food it’s not good as of Indian restaurant, I’m not sure if the person cooking in the kitchen is from India, because the food test nothing like Indian foods, As my bad experience I’m sorry to say that I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone at this time , it’s just waste of time and money .

The food was spicy and delicious. The staff was very friendly and the whole environment felt very relaxed. That being said, the food came out quickly. For a restaurant that had only just opened, I was thoroughly impressed. I will be coming back again.

Some of our team were indian and said it was okay, but the rest of us can’t believe how much food we get for $12, we only get a small dish at lunch from other places and after tip its the same as here except its not unlimited.
