Here you will be able to see the opinions of real people who consumed the services of Old Burdick\'s Bar & Grill at Wings West (Restaurant) near to the state of Michigan.
Now this firm has a rating of 4.0 stars out of 5 and the score has been based on 209 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is quite high, and it is based on a high number of reviews, so we may be pretty sure that the score is very reliable. If there are many people who bothered to leave their review when they are happy with the service, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to put opinions when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Restaurant corresponds to the category of Sports bar.
Only reason to be here is if your kids playing hockey, and they have beer, hard to screw that up- location and beer got 2 stars... Food.... you may as well go to the local gas station. FYI "fried pork cracklings" are just normal hot and spicy pork rinds you can get in store for $1 in a bag, oh but they're warm for $6. Pulled pork is flavorless and doesn't look anything like the picture, jalapeño slaw on it also no flavor. So hopefully your kid is playing hockey, winning and you like beer.
The slowest service I have ever experienced. Come here every Friday night after hockey and the service never gets better. Ordered water for our table never saw them, fifteen minutes to get our other beverages. Really need to check in to some serious training.
Love this place! DELICIOUS WHITE CHEDDAR TRUFFLE FRIES! Hubby had smokehouse wrap, I had Jalapeno and bacon burger.. Yum! Bell's on tap- both 2 hearted and double IPAs. Played a fun music bingo game and watched live hockey. Good times! We have been here several times and never been disappointed!
Good food, decent service, worth the wait.
I love the food but you dont really get a lot for the amount you pay. I went there the other night specifically for the kwings watch party yet when we asked for it to be changed to the kwings game it became the biggest deal. If you are going to put on a watch party you cannot seclud it to one half of the restuarant when there is not enough seating to include everyone and we had no idea it was going to be on that side. I was very upset when we went there to pay money for food and watch the game when we were unable to hear it or even watch it because they had it on something else.
When one thinks of city hotels, one doesn't usually think of quality restaurants. Burdick's isn't perfect, the quality of food and service can suffer when they are busy - but their menu is solid, with some unique items. Prices are reasonable which is a lot to say for a hotel based restaurant. The atmosphere is terrific, they've created a great space, especially if you're looking to watch a game with a great group of people. Burdick's, and the entire hotel, are very community minded and it shows on a big game day when the place is packed.
Delicious!! What a neat dining experience for weary travelers from southern Missouri! Ice rink?!! So cool! Great service and amazing food.
Fun place. Good food.
This place is awesome. Great food, great service and great people.
I enjoy the staff and their boneless barbeque wings! I also love watching the skaters down below on the ice rink.
Now that's what I call a sports bar.
They have a good food menu. Staff could be a little more timely especially on weeknights when there aren't many people there to serve.
Talk about hot wings! Holy moly inferno wings are fire! Great views of the hockey rink and no seat is without a TV view. Great to watch a game.
God place to watch sports
Watching the bar tender is amazing.
Often quiet but still full of character and events. Good pub grub and beer selection.
Dirty and smelly but good food.
They get better beers here than you'd ever expect.
Would like to give the place a higher star rating but the sheer cost of eating here makes us choose elsewhere as of late. The food is fine; pretty good in fact, but $13 or more for a burger and fries is way out of line for a "bar and grill" atmosphere.
Bleh. Neat to watch the hockey live, but bleh
The customer service is always so terrible here. I only go to this restaurant out of necessity because my kids ice skate and it's only option.
Very good experience here. Great atmosphere, attentive server, good beer selection, and great variety of burgers and appetizers alike. Every time I'm in the area I find myself coming back here!
I was totally surprised. Had no idea it overlooks the hockey rink. Also the food was excellent.
Fun to ice skate and drink
Over looks the ice, good food, solid selection of local craft beer.
Food was good
Very slow. We waited much longer than we needed too for someone just to take our order. Food was good but service was incredibly slow. We arrived right around 9pm and it's now 10pm, no food or anything.
Good place to watch sports and get a good meal and drinks too
We come here often because my child takes skating classes at Wings West. We have gotten to the point where we very rarely dine here because the service is very slow. Unfortunately, I think this is due to understaffing and poorly trained and/or poorly resourced management. My guess is the owners keep the restaurant going on account of having a captive audience. I'd be interested to see the budget/profit and distribution of profit. I like the convenience of going here with my family. It's fun to be able to watch the skaters. It could be a really fantastic place - I'd like to see that. I hope this review gives helpful information to customers and feedback to the owners/managers. Thanks.
Food was good...service was very slow!
Danielle, the bartender, always busy but Super nice and always remembers our dronk order _ she evrn cooks.
Good, solid, family/Sports bar. Fun to watch the skaters.
Very good food and great service.
Not good
Good food and beverages. A great place to watch our grandson play hockey on the rink below.
Very good beer selection, food is pretty delicious, and the white cheddar truffle tater tots are a must! Also, fun to watch some beer league hockey while playing Music Bingo. Good times!
Food and staff are great. Prices are too high. Plenty of TVs for sporting events
Nice setup, great view of the ice rink from the dining area. Menu is kind of limited, mostly sandwiches and appetizers but the beer is cold.
Arrived at 10:50pm , believing they were open till 1:00am based on a Google site, however they were closing at 11:00. They graciously accommodated us and gave great service even tho they were closing in a few minutes. The French dip and wings were awesome. Would highly recommend.
Great service, food was good.
I am here weekly to play Team Trivia. Our regular server has always taken care of us well, but whenever he's off, we end up having to train our server on how to split the check. It has a terrific atmosphere for a sports bar, although the prices on some food items might be a little more than expected.
Good food and atmosphere. Some items are pricey, but some are pretty reasonable. The truffle fries are delicious!
decent food and drinks, but terrible service. long time getting orders filled. long streaches between seeing server
Cool environment. Entertainment on the ice rink while enjoying great food and drinks.
Wings West Arena is a great place for hockey and good food. I've been playing there for a couple of years now and I live in Battle Creek. It's so worth the drive out there to have so much fun. They recently held the Hockey for Life tournament and did a wonderful job hosting it and I had so much fun making friends, seeing and playing hockey with friends and them and family coming out to watch. The pro shop is nice to be there also. The LiveBarn feed is special also. My parents are unable to travel so I tell them what rink and time and they can watch me play from Detroit and that means a lot. Thanks to the staff for making the place awesome.
Always a nice selection of about 30 beers food has always been decent, service is hit or miss depending on the server ...
Way overpriced for the quality of food you get. Might be a good place for drinks but ive had alot better food for cheaper elsewhere.
Solid drink selection and decent bar food offerings
Stopped in while traveling through. We scanned the Google Maps, looking for dinner, and a bunch of fast food places, and this "sports bar". Well, at least they have beer. When we arrived we found a nice selection of craft brew beers (30 beers on tap, but several wasted on Coors, Bud and Miller brands) and a menu that was enticing. An off night for them, a Thursday night with no games on the ice. We had a delicious and quiet dinner. Good service, and excellent food. We had a pulled pork sandwich, South Western egg rolls and chips with guacamole and salsa. All really nice. All made fresh, including the chips. The salsa had a great flavor, with fresh cilantro. Not overwhelming, but certainly the star. If I ever pass that way again, I'll definitely stop in again.
Neat atmosphere. Good food.
Great food, wonderful atmosphere
Great place to sit and have a bite to eat and a drink while the kids are on the ice.
The food is good so is the service.
Aways a joy to visit.great pizza and great atmosphere
Went on Monday night during happy hour for 1/2 off wings and pints. It was great! Loved the boneless wings and the beer selection. The service was great. Highly recommend!
Loved the grilled shrimp tacos, I needed a little extra heat ! That they had plenty of sauces to choose from!!Burbicks wings can't go wrong. The backdrop of ice rink So Cool. Danelle great bartender
I like this place. But post your damn closing hours somewhere. Anywhere. What year is it?
Treble food, treble service.... Ordered fish and chips, they brought them to me burnt... .. Cant believe they even brought it out... Got the mac and cheese... way over priced. Wife had fish tacos... no flavor at all. Salsa was tasteless. Way over priced. Kids running around getting in between the tables while people are eating. People standing over us as we are try to eat... Will never go back.
The cheesy bread is great! Good place to hang out.
Amazing food and appetizers, great sports bar and if you live hockey this is your place! One thing they could improve is speed of service! Wait staff is friendly but slow service. that said the food is worth the wait!!!
Taste like wings was re dipped in oil
I came expecting average bar food, but was pleasantly surprised by the quality. Slightly pricey, but worth it.
Way overpriced food for a sports/hockey bar, but atmosphere is great
I want to love this place but I just can't. It's a great place to watch a game and the crowd of people is always fun. Food is okay and prices are a little high. Service is really hit or miss, good luck.
Great place to enjoy a beer or a meal while watching hockey.
I find the food to lack when compared to other similar-priced options in town. Unfortunately, they have little competition on the West Side.
Great staff, great food, great beer. Too many children.
Service here is usually decent. Prices are mid/high-range. They have a variety of menu items. I've been told their burgers are great, but I don't eat burgers out often. They have a few sandwiches, the french dip was good, thankful for the au-jus since the bread was a bit dry. Their "shareables" are good. Truffle fries were always good. Really enjoy when their are people on the ice rink.
Love watching the hockey games (happening in the adjacent ice areana) while having dinner and drinks.
The food is good. The staff are friendly. However, this place is way overpriced for what you get. Burdick is counting on having captive customers waiting for their kids to be done on the ice.
Interesting non-standard menu items is a plus. Prices aren't too bad. Plenty of space for large groups.
Service is average and food is poor
Great food and atmosphere.
The food here is awesome, but like half of Michigan people are prejudice, waitress didn't come up to wait on us until she saw a white couple sit in front of us
This place has greatly improved over the last month. They stay open later now for the late men's hockey games. Always great service from the bar & service from wait staff has improved greatly. Food is a little pricey but it's quality food with great presentation. Overlooking the hockey rink adds well to the atmosphere. Always have the big sports games on (and audio!) Good selection of craft beer too. Worth the trip!
A little slow but the food was great
Very nice place to eat with the family. Good food and spirits and a great view of the ice for youth and other hockey games.
TV's and an ice rink before after or during a beer and a
Had lots of fun with all my friends.. I even ran into my middle school social studies teacher Mr. Kennedy.. Had a great time.
Great happy hour drink prices. Too bad the food is way over priced.
Had WMU burger was great. Megan our waitress was very nice.
Cool bar that allows you to watch hockey while you eat or drink.
Great craft beer tap list. Great food for Burdicks but a little pricey.
An interesting experience. Being able to watch sports on tv, have a beer and a bite, and potentially watch some live local hockey is probably not your typical dining experience. But you can do just that at Old Burdick's. I enjoyed the fish tacos so much I re-ordered them the moment I was done with round one. The chips and salsa that came with it were stale and underwhelming. Also, every single tv in the building was on the exact same football game. I was in town for business, but my team was nowhere to be found. They did change a tv for me, but it botched the sound for the entire bar, and took a good 10 minutes before they got everything back to how it was supposed to be. All-in-all, if I find myself back in the same area for work, I think I'll find myself back at Old Burdick's as well.
Good eats
This place is grate. You can watch hockey games and practice while you eat and or drink. My 2 year old son loves watching the games. Also, great rotating craft brew selections. They always have new, highly rated and hard to find craft beer selections!
Great beer selection and the $ 15 burgers are good to.
Great service at the bar.
1lb boneless wings special $7 tonight can't really beat that. Great beer selection and overlooking live hockey. Attentive staff and good crowd, what more could you ask for
We've been to the Burdicks in downtown Kalamazoo several times and been overall satisfied. This location, however, was a huge disappointment! The servers were extremely slow and had this attitude like it was an inconvenience to have customers. The menus had a funky smell to them, to the point where we had to hold our breath while reading them. We went to watch the Wings game on tv, but the volume wasn't on. When we asked the staff to turn it up they did, but it still wasn"t loud enough. The food was decent, but not good enough to offset the lackluster service. I doubt we will return.
Relaxed, warm, great food, and great service
Nice atmosphere and great wings!
Nice to see the hockey arena while to u eat. Good food, martini was not bad but could be better.
Neat sports bar connected to the hockey rink. Stopped by Friday, when you walk in you can seat yourself which is nice because you can pick any spot you want by the windows to watch hockey. They had good happy hour deals (1/2 off pints), large draft list and good food. Our server was fast and made good suggestions, seemed to know the menu well. I got the poutine which was really unique, I liked the spice, something different. My wife got the California quesadilla and loved it. Overall good experience and will be back
Tried to eat here last night. Sat for at least 15 minutes without one staff member approaching us....they walked by us several times and didn't even make eye contact. We felt like ghosts or like we might have the plague. We left and will never return.
Can't wait to go back.
Nice place
Awesome food and service. Portions were large. Great value for the price... ♡
Great food and service.
The food was very good
We were able to get right in. Megan did a great job of serving us. Food was really good and even though the place was packed we didn't have to wait long for our meal
Cool atmosphere, great food.
Had a very nice server along with crappy food but supposedly was here last day so place might suck now
Great place great beers!
The Detroiter burger is great!
The bar has a good selection of beer. The issue is calling this a hockey bar! It's a bar located in a hockey rink, but they don't put any of the hockey games on the TV's, just basketball.
