Very disappointed that they put cilantro in almost everything on the menu. Even the rice. Come on! How cheap is rice? Make two pots, one with and one without, Everything I asked about had cilantro. Also the food was burnt. It says right on the menu that they could make some of the items without cilantro but, when I asked, I was told no. He also forgot part of my order and when he did bring it, it was burnt. Glad I went with two friends and not a big group. They get my issue with cilantro. I know it is the "IN" herb now but, for many of us, we get sick when we eat it. Very limited menu . I am sure it won't hurt them, but we decided, we would pass on going back.

Food is delicious but the service was terrible at our last visit. Every single order was messed up. My friend did not want rice and asked for a substitute. They asked if she would want double beans, she said no, and picked something else. She ended up with no beans, not even in her burrito or on the side. My fiance and I ordered the same dish, but his was hot (spicy) and mine was not. He kept commenting about how his had no spice and after I took a couple of bites, I realized mine was a lot more spicy than it should have been. At this point he had already ate most of the burrito that should have been mine. They gave us the wrong orders. My toddler had an enchilada and we requested that corn be added in. We were charged for it but it was not added in (did not realize this until we left and heated up left overs) We then requested that my friend and my burrito be remade. At this point my toddler was getting antsy so we asked for the new meals to be to go. The waitress then rudely said they would probably charge us for them then. Ugh, what? We ended up getting our new burritos, but my friend still did not have her beans! So we had to wait for more to be made. We then split the bill. My friend paid cash for her portion and the rest was to go on a card. The waitress charged the card the wrong amount and came back and said we did not have enough cash. We realized she mixed up the orders and had to wait again for the card to be refunded and ran again. By this point my toddler is a crying mess and we have been in the restaurant for over 2 hours. The manager never offered to do anything else other than replacing the 2 meals and was not very pleasant about that. Not sure if we will be back.

Service was friendly and excellent even on a very busy Friday night. The margaritas where refreshing and the entire vibe was excellent. The Korean BBQ tacos were fresh and tasty with the combination of sweet spicy meat and crunchy cabbage. The spicy chicken was a bit dry and could use a sauce.

Great place, great food. They have a lot of great tacos on the menu, and they always have some more traditional Mexican fair as a special. DON'T GO EXPECTING TRADITIONAL MEXICAN, this is a fusion place Their coffee is amazing, so go there to wait after you try and go to the union for brunch

Along with Alchohalic beverages and friendly,outgoing staff, honchos also has delicious hot food, a variety of foods to choose from on the menu, and a clean, fresh design.A great place to meet up with an old friend, Honchos' staff goes above and beyond, recommending dishes and giving tips. Extremely fast service, with spicy, savory, delicious burritos, nachos, tacos, and much more. I would 100% reccomend this restraunt! :)

We called right before we paid the parking meter to see what the wait time was, and the man on the phone said there was no wait with plenty of open tables. I counted a 70-second walk to the host stand where they told us there was a 30 to 45-minute wait for two people. Kinda fishy this keeps happening every time we try to come.

Restaurant - Delicious food and drinks. Ambiance and service is excellent. They have margaritas on tap! Coffee shop - they roast their own coffee and it is the best tasting coffee I have ever had. The pastries are delicious as well. They have homemade pop tarts. Yum!

I had the Honchos burrito with the fish. Food was excellent and served nicely. Portion size is large and the nachos appetiser is good for 4 people to share a single order. It does get very busy in the evening and so there is a considerable wait for a spot.

Went here for pre concert dinner. My wife ordered a Rum and Coke and took one sip and it was too strong, so she asked if she could have something else. The waiter obliged and brought a Margarita over. Normally, when you send something back because you don’t like it or something is wrong with it the comp is usually no charge because you already paid for something. Not here! Hipster atmosphere, the food was middling at best, and the wait staff seems to not really care about much but looking chic. There really aren’t any other restaurants owned by somebody else in Clarkston so complaining or going somewhere else is pointless. Won’t be going back to Clarkston to eat any time soon.

After a move from Melbourne back to Michigan, I’m happy to have found a 5* lunch spot that feels like the foodie city I left. Lunch crowd was minimal and the asparagus tacos and chop salad were fantastic. If it’s just coffee you’re after, the barista made a near exact long black that I’ve grown to love in Melbourne. I haven’t found that anywhere else yet in my time back in America. I look forward to more visits.

We arrived late (10:30pm) and wanted to sit outside on the patio, but the tables were being cleared. We inquired and the server quickly told us we were welcome to sit wherever we liked. We had the Honcho Nacho with chicken and a couple margaritas. It was the best nacho I've ever had! The atmosphere was visually very cool; fire burning, boxwood plantings, and downtown Clarkston is beautiful! I look forward to going back and trying more menu items!

Fantastic ques-mex and coffee in the heart of Clarkston. Absolutely recommend one of their margaritas and the Ahi-Tuna atop a salad. If you get the chance, spend time on the comfortable and cozy patio.

FYI I have only been to the restaurant portion, not the cafe portion. The queso dip was amazing! Basically all of the food was good. I personally didn't think the seating area for the restaurant was comfy for taller people haha. The staff was really friendly. Great place to eat in Clarkston!

Neat place to eat and drink. Food was good, service was good, drinks we're good. We ate in the domes outside we had to wait a wile to get one but we just had a few drinks at the bar wile we waited.. If you plan to eat in the domes bring a long sleeve shirt it never got above 60 degrees in ours that did not bother us though.. we still enjoyed eating out there...

My husband and I went here with a few friends on a Saturday night and it was packed (for good reason too!) Wonderful food and staff!! We chose to sit at the bar in lieu of waiting for a table and I'm so glad we did. The bartender was our waiter and he was amazing. Anticipated needs, friendly, delivered food hot and served us in a timely manner as well as everyone else in the busy restaurant. We also sat next to the donut machine and watched them make fresh donuts (we ended up ordering some for dessert and they were fantastic!) Can't say enough good about this places. The menu is eclectic in the best way, you won't find these great tasting recipes in any chain restaurant! The price is very reasonable for the amount of quality food you receive. Would recommend to everyone!

Poor service. Sat at the bar on the coffee side. Took ten minutes to get our first drink, brought out our food that we ordered at the same time 5 min apart. Had to ask where the other half of our order was before it came out. When we got our check I immediately put a credit card down to pay, waited 15 min before we finally just put cash down and left.

Service from the hostesses leaves something to be desired, and wait staff isn't as knowledgeable on the menu as one would expect. Specials are usually delightful and the food is always excellent! The atmosphere is strange as loud music plays on the weekend making it difficult to have a conversation with the person across from you and the lighting is deplorable.. bring a flashlight to read your menu!

A lot of stuff is fused with other ethnic flavors, which is fine if you're in the mood for that...but I wasn't and I'm glad, because the standard tacos I had were not that great. In fact, one tasted bitter.

It is a Monday night.... Service was SLOW, took 20 minutes to get a fork and napkin. Luckily I started with chips and salsa. Food and drink was really good. If you are into the lengthy dinner night, this is probably a 10.

I love this place! They provide excellent dishes, they have a nice menu, The chef in that restaurant is well trained, I like a lot tasting all their food. The dishes are consistently of high qualtity, the attitude towards the visitors is agreeable. I often go to this place and I not even once was unhappy. Highly recommended.

This a great place from a date night to family gathering or just grabbing a coffee! The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and well-trained! They have a few different atmospheres to enjoy so you'll never get bored going to this place over and over... you can sit outside, even in the winter time, inside restaurant area, really nice horseshoe bar with TVs, and even a relaxing coffee shops spot! Our family loves this place! I am not a huge dessert person, but I ALWAYS have some here!

I LOVE Honcho! Everything I've had here has been delicious. The picture below is their Arándano Smash Rum cocktail and their Fried Avocado Taco (draman style) which I was happy to learn wasn't too spicy for me since I a wimp when it comes to spice. I'm not a huge fan of their tortillas but I did enjoy the draman style which comes with cheese. I was pretty content after 1 taco so I took my second home. I also enjoy their nachos (which you can order non-spicy), french toast, coffee, and homemade donuts are like mini cider donuts and impossible to pass up every time I go. Plus the service is good, the decor is on point with outside seating and they'll open up the garage doors to the main floor if it's nice out too with cozy cafe spots on the bar side or restaurant seating on the main side.

I really do love these tacos, margaritas are tasty also. We had a special shrimp taco, a fish, hot chicken and taco night champ style. Drinks and service were great as well. We got there for an early dinner no wait at five. But a bit after we arrived the wait looks like it started on a Saturday. Mac n cheese is always delicious a union joint. Always love the ambience and overall vibe fun place to eat and drink with some great food and options for lots of different diets.

I absolutely love Latin/Mexican food. Your tacos and food was marginal at best. The pricing is terrible. $4 for a single street taco? I also observed several female dervers have long nails, perfect for hiding foodborne illness. There is a small open kitchen near the bar. I watched an employee. 18 minutes of various tasks and no hand washing. This was my first and last visit.

We went for brunch. The bloody Maria was fantastic, the drip coffee was fantastic, my husband got the Baptist beer made with their coffee beans and it was fantastic! We had a great server and our food (especially the French toast and cornbread and gravy) was killer. Awesome decor, chill vibe, no one made us feel awkward for having our baby (6 weeks old and some folks get real weird about a baby in a restaurant) with us. Loved it. You’ll love it. You should go, really.

I love tacos...never thought much about putting an Asian spin on my tacos, but that's kinda what Honchos does and they do it well. They have a fun atmosphere, great staff and pretty good prices. I highly recommend that Pulled Pork done Dorado style, but really you can't go wrong with any of the Tacos! And please please please finish your meal off with some Donuts, you won't be disappointed!

When asked for items of what might not be spicy, was recommended by waitress to to get chicken enchilada bc it's "not that spicy." Clearly the sauce had some kick to it, almost that I couldn't eat the dish. Would have ordered it without the sauce had I had the proper recommendation. Or whole experience there took 2.5 hours, it seemed like we were waiting for a very long time most of the time. They brought the baby's food out last in a separate session, meaning the baby had to sit there and watch us have food in front of us and watch us start eating for 5 minutes before he was brought his food. Everyone says their food had spice, which is fine if you like that, I just won't eat spicy. So I chose to not order dessert or anything else. Only one of us ordered dessert, it took 48 minutes to come out after ordering. Why did we even wait that long and not just leave? I don't know. When the cake finally arrived I tried a bite and it had a little kick at the end. I guess every single thing here has spice in it. Not a place for me, I won't be back. Maybe if the service was better I might have considered coming back but at this point, I will always choose somewhere else to go.

Wonderful Food Fantastic Atmosphere. We came on a gloomy Sunday night to have a bite to eat without the kiddos. Although there were plenty of kids in the restaurant I would suggest not bringing them your first time so you can actually sit and enjoy the food and atmosphere. I started out with an "infused" margarita. Not much of a tequila fan but they created a wonderful beverage where you could barely taste the tequila. I got the melon one and enjoyed it thoroughly. Next up, we ordered the chips and salsa sampler. Chips were great, tasted homemade and all 3 salsas were fab, my favorite was the white one. My husband and I named it the " Mexican Ranch". We both ordered the pulled port taco, homemade style, and also the steak taco. The pork was delicious, very flavorful with a lot of great fixings within it. The steak was also great, had flavor, but the pork took it to a new level. After venturing to the restroom after dinner I noticed they also had a cafe attached which I cannot wait to try!

As with all of the Union Joints Honcho is top notch. The casual aesthetic of the place is warm and inviting. The food is great as well as the coffee. They have a great selection of Latin American beers. The service is as good as the food. The mix of different cusine styles may seem weird when looking over the menu but it all works perfectly. A must stop when in downtown Clarkston.

We drove from Swartz creek to Clarkston just to try Honchos! And boy did we make the right decision!! Tacos are beyond amazing!! Service is excellent and atmosphere is so laid back we will definitely be back!! Not to mention the kids meals are just awesome for my 1 year old
