Good sushi, with a nice variety. Pictures on the menu are tough to see, and some rolls/food items don’t have Ingredients so I hope You’re familiar with sushi. Though the wait staff was very rude. Also, I don’t much appreciate being asked to leave move of a tip when I already tipped more than I should have. Fine for a one off, won’t be back.

Positively amazing. The best sushi I've ever eaten, really good ramen, too. the atmosphere is lovely and the wait staff are very homely (that is to say they're very hospitable). If you like great sushi or are looking to try something new, this should be your first stop.

I've tried many sushi places in the surrounding area and although they are great places to eat this Happy Sushi in Novi is by far my favorite place to eat sushi from. I've tried many of the options they have to and have yet to be disappointed. The fish is always very fresh tasting and the rice is always cooked right, Gary and his family always make sure of it. They have a wide plethora of choices as well as many other non-sushi choices. I highly recommend it for any sushi lovers.

I have been a customer for years. My husband and I really like their sushi rolls, and always cold beer and always hot tea. Ask for their carrot ginger dressing, then order some to-go. Um Um Good!

I do not recommend this place. They are expensive with low quality. When purchasing the sushi dinner plate you receive 7 pieces of the cheapest roll everyone makes, ground "crab" stick. For $18.50 I would expect a variety, or at least some quality. Some of my fish tasted fishy, which we all know is a bad thing. I ordered an octopus salad that was advertised as having a vinegar dressing, but it very clearly had NO dressing at all. There was also pieces of octopus that tasted terrible (while some was fine). My husband ordered teriyaki chicken, so imagine his surprise when we discovered peanut sauce all over it, with a side of "teriyaki" in a small container. I put it in quotes because it tasted more like soy than teriyaki, although it definitely wasn't straight soy. For $40 this was a total ripoff and I'll never be back.

This place has the best sushi around. The rolls are always so good and at the best prices on the east side of Michigan. They are very fast and can do takeout as well, which is great if you want a night in but don’t want to cook. They are always very friendly. We drive all the way from Southfield to get sushi here because it is so good and inexpensive.

The first time I had Sushi was at Happy and I have been smiling ever since. Sorry for the bad joke but I guess I am partial to Happy. Lunchtime is usually busy but worth the wait. We like to go on Saturday nights occasionally and it is much less busy. Get the seemingly-endless large warm Saki if you are a fan.

Tonkatsu ramen and nigiri lunch combo is the best. Ramen is very good. Nigiri is great. The fish is a good thickness and there is not to much wasabi holding it to the rice. Excellent meal.

The food was great, loved it. Price was reasonable too. The waiter... most were nice and all, especially the guy was nice and polite but there was this woman today. No smile, just ask what I wanted to eat an brought it. I won't say that's horrible or bad but not the best either. So when the tip came I just did about ten percent without thinking too hard cause the waiter didn't give me a good impression. Yes, now they say fifteen to twenty percent is the right amount but that doesn't mean you have to pay that amount to a waiter you didn't like. So the problem started from there, she brought my check back and basically ordered me to give her more tip. If she asked nicely or at least respectively I probably would have, but that wasn't even close to how you should talk to a customer. So I scribbled out the tip and went out of the store. Then she followed me out all the way to my car with the check and told me I didn't give her a tip. After I refused, she yelled and said she will take it out of my bill next time. I am sure there will be no next time. It might sound like a small issue , and probly is, but it was big enough to change a good meal to a bad memory. I liked the food so it's kind of sad but I do not want to be near her ever again. Hope you have a better time than what I had.

Was there a few days ago and didn't even get served. I waited for a good 15min and they saw me but still didn't even acknowledge me. A group came 10min after me and was shown to a table. I never felt this disappointed until this place.

Typical Sushi atmosphere. Simple decor, tentative staff, and friendly chefs. Good overall option of choices and the taste is better. Price is just right, this is my typical stop for a quick sushi, nagiri, or sashimi fix.

Sushi was mediocre compared to others I have been to. Menu has a variety of sushi and other lunch/dinner options; didn't see many drink option and only Ice Cream for dessert :) Environment was pleasant, and service was pretty direct and attentive.

It's a tiny little hole in the wall that you'd probably never find unless you regularly shop at the Busch's in the complex, or someone tells you about it/takes you there. My aunt took me here one afternoon for lunch and then not too long after I brought my dad. Delicious bento boxes and delicious sushi rolls. Simple, easy, and affordable. Sadly it's a bit out of my way just for a quick sushi stop, but when I can - I go there.

I sent my food back because I don’t eat pork and they served me a pork Ramen bowl. I explained to the waitress I don’t eat pork and she returned with a new chicken Ramen bowl, as i started eating it i noticed it was the same bowl with pork in it they just removed the pork off the top and put chicken on top. Will never return

I have been going to Happy Sushi for years now. Their shrimp tempura, miso soup, and dragon rolls are AMAZING. I don’t think I have ever once been disappointed by their food before and the presentation is always wonderful!

I eat sushi at many different locations and I was never treated so rude or been so disappointed with the sushi!!! I had one peice and I almost got sick from the taste. I had the shrimp tempura and it was ok was glad I did. I asked them to take it off my bill. I did not want to take it home it was disgusting!! They refused and I will never go back and I will review on ever place I can. I eat out 2 to 3 times a week and have ate her 2 times befor. It was nothing great but was never like this and i will make sure my word of mouth spreads as far as I can. Will put pictures up on Facebook so everyone can see the slop they tried to feed me and I paid 17 dollars for. Just wrong!!!

Love coming here and ordering a plate full of sushi. My boyfriend and I come here often knowing there will most likely be no wait and the food will be good. We've never had a bad experience here. Wait staff is good and sushi is reasonably fresh. It is a small place that we consider a hole in the wall treasure of a find. We eat here almost once a week. We have dined in and had carryout, both equally good.

Small cozy no frills restaurant. Service was fast and friendly. Sushi was ok. Our ramen and udon soups was tasty. Overall not too bad but I have had better at other places.

The California rolls were fine, but the ramen was really bad and the pork cutlet curry was mediocre at best. I've spent a lot of time in Japan and other Asian countries and love the food, but this was worse than anything I've had anywhere. The service was slow, and when my wife asked what was in one of the dishes the waitress responded, "It's in the picture." It wasn't at all clear from the small photo, but she couldn't explain what it was. The prices would have been borderline high for good quality food, but definitely overpriced for what we received. I usually tip very generously but this was a rare occasion where I left nothing because of the bad food and service.
