I am from Dayton Ohio. I came up for the Spring game. I have to say this was the best meal I've had in a long time. Plus your staff was polite and graceful. That you for making a bad day better.
Great place to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food reasonable price. Happy hour hang out after work fun and relaxing. I also love the live band on Saturday. It's a nice and clean place, staff friendly. Food great. Love the breakfast and lunch buffet.
Decent bar food for a hotel bar. Nachos are spot on.
Was in town all week for meetings at the Holiday Inn. Breakfast was early and hot....eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal and waffles. Plenty of fruit, yogurt, white and chocolate milk, juices and pastries. I did not have lunch there. Dinner was average to good. I had burgers, lasagna, fahitas, anda reuben sandwich ( whish I will skip the next time. The prices are fair. There are happy hour specials with a full stock of adult beverages, many bottled and draft beers. All in all, I was not disappointed with the package. Got some Blues and Brews going on; GUY HOLLERIN'S BLUES & BREWS BAND SCHEDULE February 2018 2/17: Alligators 2/24: Jerry Mack and the Terraplanes March 2018 3/3: Luther Badman Keith 3/10: Bobby Murray Band 3/17: Sun Messengers 3/24: Booker Plays Hooker feat. Billy Davis 3/31: Saints of Soul
Rib eye was great..cooked perfectly
Slow service and was asked for a cover charge when I came back from the bathroom because the band had started playing even though I had been there for over an hour waiting for my food.
Food wasn't too impressive. My husband and I had the fish sandwich and fish with fries. The fish turned soggy quickly from all the grease for both our meals. Fries were okay. Only thing we both agreed on that we liked was the coleslaw!! Staff was nice
Nice restaurant and lounge inside a Holiday Inn in Ann Arbor Mi. A special Saturday night event Blues & Brews features local bands to kick off dancing and a boogie woogie good time.
Good experience when here. Recommend if you're in the hotel
Terrible bartender. She was mean and awful. Will not return
The food was good, and there was a nice atmosphere.
Terrible service. No greeting or acknowledgement upon arrival. Place wasn't busy. Two customers at the bar and two families seated in the dining area shouldn't be overload for a bartender and three waitstaff. When seated there was some perfunctory mumbling. Waited 10 minutes before a server ventured over, and when she did, it seemed to pain her to ask if we wanted drinks. We ended up leaving without eating.
Great staff, horrible food and dirty glasse. Hold your glass to the light and are the filth.
Great food and great service.
Delicious food. Diana was perfect waitress, my kids loved her. French onion soup was amazing!
Happy Hour
Very good food at reasonable prices
Good food and friendly service. Had trouble finding the entrance which we now know is through the hotel.
Very tasty food for a reasonable price.
Went to Sunday brunch 2016, our server ran my credit card 3 times due to her error, card was charged the right amount on the third swipe BUT the first 2 swipes put a hold on over $100 dollars. Called manager he said they show nothing wrong on their end, called credit card company they say the guy hollierns is the problem.
Convenient location, nice service, tasty bar foods
Priced reasonable, good food, but not able to handle a larger group, service was extremely slow and to ask for thing multiple time before receiving.
I like this place for a hotel bar. They have tasty IPAs and good fajitas. Good bartenders, too
Restaurant week provided decent food.
Bad and expensive food, poor service
Average hotel restaurant. Buffett was ok. Service was good. If you stay in the hotel, not a bad choice.
Food is alright
slow,poor service from wait staff
Ordered the spinach artichoke dip, use to be my favorite, when it was served I was very disappointed. The pita bread was cold, the dip said three cheeses, but I got cream cheese, onions, and spinach, never seen any artichokes, plus it was cold. I will not order that dish again.
Good service and food was pretty good.
Really good food and great place to listen to live music.
Great drinks at the bar, and the club sandwich was good too.
Best burger around
Best salsa, great breakfast, ok service.
Good food and music but the service is terrible
Service sucks will never recommended that place to anyone waited for over 15 min for a waitress to get our drink this place need to shut down or sell out we walked out
Great bar to hang out after work. Great prices and good appetizers
Great Dinner. Fun crowd at bar. Good happy hour beer specials
The service behind the bar is great. The service from the waitresses sucks! They are rude and lazy! Slamming drinks on the table, taking forever to check on you, general rude behavior and laziness. Good food but beware!
Great band, SERVICE WAS A JOKE!!! took 25 min for server to take drink order, we then waiting almost 45 more to get drinks. I went to the bar 2x to try to speak to our server, she was so rude I decided to leave. She also left 3 pple at our table of 7(just drinks] sitting waving at her trying to get her to take their orders. Tried to speak with manager and was ignored. If I could give 0 stars I would.
If they're going to serve Guinness, they should pour it properly.
We went on Saturday December 22nd. The band was great. The food was ok The service sucked. They didn't have enough help the place was packed. Only one bartender for a Saturday night.
They have great live blues music and the food is always good!
Food is absolutely DISGUSTING! Most of the menu is frozen (if I wanted to reheat food, I could stay at home for that) and in turn everything we received was freezer burnt....and WAY overpriced. Service was extremely slow, server did his best to please us but got an attitude with me when I finally stood up from the booth and told him that we had to leave and I could no longer sit there while he tried to deal with our table and the other 5 he was serving. My daughter (not a picky eater at all) took 1 bite of her pizza and said it was disgusting, sent it back for a burger, waited 30 minutes for her burger to arrive. We had to take it to go because it took so long. Then we once she starts to eat the burger it’s completely over cooked and burnt, so she wouldn’t eat that either. THEN, the kids menu says they get a frozen treat: they bring her an ice cream sandwich, the chocolate sandwiches are completely soggy and it is freezer burnt!!! I sent my food back, ordered fish that was over fried, hard as a rock and soaked in grease, didn’t even want anything else. I refused to pay for anything other than the club sandwich my husband ordered. Trying to get them to take food off of the bill that we didn’t eat was a HUGE problem, but I stood there until they did it. $18 for some freezer burnt fish pressed into a shape, is a little much. Probably one of the worst food experiences I have ever encountered. Stay away from this place!!!
Service was slow, and food was just ok. Did not justify Price. To be fair though, I had heard that this was a bad period for them. So maybe when I get back out to ann Arbor, I will give them another shot.
The service is friendly, but slow. They seem to be perpetually understaffed. Food is good and the portions are usually very good for the money. Great happy hour. Good music on the weekends.
Awful service is what did it. I ordered a beer and it took almost 20 mins. Food was great though. Honestly I don't recommend this bar and grill.
Love Carly the bartender!!! She's the greatest!!!
It's alright
This is hands down the worst service I have had in a long time. It took 45 minutes to get breakfast yesterday. Tofay, I sat at a table for 15 minutes and was never even greeted by my server. I got up and walked out. They might as well take put the tables and juat make this place a belly up bar.
Taco Wednesday is the best. Cheap and very filling.
Decent beer and early morning serivce!!
It is a nice place the breakfast was good.
Food is pretty good, but the service sucks. I go back every year or so and find the same thing.
Service isn't great hear
Pitiful service.
No better place for a midnight worker's happy hour. Everybody should have access to a bite and a drink after work, no matter when you punch out. Awesome place.
Good appetizers
Love the Chris Canas Band
Good morning buffet. Nice wait staff. Pleasant atmosphere.
Great breakfast
Food is quite good...service is also good Good beer list
ok breakfast
Good inexpensive lunch, especially with a UofM ID Card.
Best breakfast buffet ever! Where did they find the chef, wait staff and menu? Heaven I guess. The spinach danish was to die for! so warm and fresh with flakey crust and creamy spinach. The bacon crisp, but not over cooked and brittle as so often found in a buffet setting., fluffy eggs, firm ,yet juicy fresh fruit . And creamy Greek yogurt. There were many food items offered on the tables. I just couldn't try them all. There was even a variety of decaf teas, something not often offered. My server was soooo pleasant and helpful that I mentioned her to the mgr. ' Absolutely loved this place .
Great food and good service.
Service was good. Server was very kind. Food was ok.
The waitress was bogged down with too many tables. We had to wait for a long time for service. When we finally got our food after waiting for an hour it was cold.
Love the music, the food, and the service!
Worst beer I've ever tasted in my life, was really excited about having a beer off tap! Yeah DONT! IT TASTE LIKE ITS WATERED DOWN, no wonder its 3.75 a glass. Id rather risk a d.u.i. befor drinking that piss
Meh...
Took forever to get my first beer. Appetizer was hot and good. Had Spinach Dip. Wasn't told about happy hour specials. When dinner came it was cold, never saw waitress till she came to drop the bill off. Sad thing there was hardy anyone in there, other than the 11 people sitting at the bar and being taken well care of by the bartender. I will never go back. McDOnald's is a far better chalice and I can't stand their food
We had the worst experience ever, and we will never be returning nor will we refer others to dine here. We experienced the worst service ever in life! We ordered spinach and artichoke dip, and waited for a half hour only to be told that they were out of it and we had to substitute it with something else. We waited for over an hour, and we never received our food. Everyone around us was eating, and all we got were apologies. We were very disappointed with the service here, and very upset. Just terrible
Terrible food!
Wonderful Staff, Food was very good.
Despite all the bad reviews they were good the lasagna was really good service was good the waitress was nice and on top of everything ..will be coming back in the future!
Stopped by for restaurant week. They had a great menu for the week and we got to try a little of things. Butternut squash bisque, lasagna and pot roast were all outstanding.
My family and I went for a New Years Eve celebration/ concert. Though the doors "opened at 8", we got there promptly at 8 and there weren't any seats left, which was uncomfortable as there aren't any waiting areas, and we paid 40$ per person to attend. Additionally, the service was poor and took a very long time to even be seen for our drink order. The food was mediocre at best, as the menu only consisted of 6 items and I presume there wasn't much thought in the quality of the food, but rather churning out enough food for the heavy crowds. The restaurant was also very drafty; I couldn't take my coat off all evening due to the cold. We had to eventually leave due to lack of comfort and quality of the experience not even 90 minutes after arrived, though we planned to stay until midnight. Not my favorite restaurant in town, I won't be returning.
Great new place to unwind. Daily happy hour specials including food. Very friendly waitresses. Decent prices and the food is really good. I highly recommend this place.
It’s a real shame because it’s one of a few places to see live blues. Got there an hour early before the band went on. Ordered drinks and after an hour they still had not arrived. Service bad. They said they ran out of glasses which is ridiculous since it was not busy when we arrived. Only one bartender on a Saturday night when they were having live music. We ended up not staying for the band. A real shame.
Good service at the bar
Had a 3 layer Club sandwich and it was loaded with meat and cheese.
Food sucks. Wait staff is great
I simply cannot recall a restaurant meal that I've enjoyed so much. In Philadelphia for a brief, last-minute trip, we booked a late dinner at Vetri (last table seated that evening). It was worth staying up for -- every dish was exquisite, especially the famed gnocchi, light as air. And the service was so cheerful, engaged and considerate. Worth every penny and every minute. We may come back to Philly just to eat here again.
'Local Blues and Local Brews' draws me to Guy Hollerins nearly every Saturday night. Great music, beer specials from sponser Wolverine Brewing and the wonderful staff bring me back week after week. If you have not experienced 'Local Blues and Local Brews' , I highly encourage you to give it a listen.
Good food, good beer, great gathering place after the 9-5.
Food was OK, but service was extremely slow
Live music, Downriver Dan, was great! Food was good. Our server, Amber, was very attentive.
Slow service, mediocre food, decent beer selection
Had a 3 layer Club sandwich and it was loaded with cheese.
Wings very good, at $.40 each you can't go wrong!
Great place to watch the Michigan game.
Slow service - there was one waiter working and when I finally got my food the nachos were horrible. The cheese was burns and the waiter tried explaining that it was like that because they make the nachos and then out them in the oven. Not sure why you would but nachos in the over, burn them and then serve them.
Delicious, homemade, amazing breakfast, lunch, dinner and brew selection. It's definitely worth the price.
Didn't go here and not sure why this is showing up. I can't give a rating for this place but it is required.
The lunch menu at Guy Hollerins is a great value. I particularly enjoy the all-you-can-eat soup, salad, and garlic bread meal. The salad you choose comes in a large bowl, which is often the amount that fills you up. However, if you want more they will make you another one. The soups are all tasty. My favorite is the chicken noodle soup. It has very tasty broth and is loaded with chicken, vegetables and of course noodles. The garlic bread is always crisp and well flavored. I enjoy the fajita burrito if I am not in the mood for the soup, sald, and garlic bread meal. The chicken is well flavored and mixed in with vegetables, rice, and cheese. They serve sour cream on the side with tortilla chips. The burgers are also very delicious. They juicy and flavorful. My husband and I always choose the onion petals as our side. They have a great flavor. The desserts are very yummy. My favorite is the strawberry shortcake. They put in just enough of the strawberry sauce to make it flavorful, but not over powering over the ice cream and cake. My close second favorite is the brownie sundae. The brownie, vanilla ice cream, and hot fudge come together very well. The servers are always very friendly. They check on us regularly and are very efficient at bring us our food and processing our check.
Food was Great! But very understaffed.
Was very busy but they did great as busy as they were and food was excellent
Great food and staff
Place was dead on Thursday afternoon. Asked if the OJ had pulp they said no, it did. Cesar salad was drowning in dressing. Literally dripping. Crusted walleye was slimy and soggy, couldn't even eat half. Side veggies were over steamed. No seasoning or flavor. Mac and cheese was just Kraft boxed. Burger and fries was fine and waitress was nice which is why I left a 2 star instead of a 1 star. Won't be back. All for nearly $50.
This place is awesome. Their bacon is on point and their broccoli soup are to die for!!! Would recommend to anyone.
Great place to visit! I come here often after a long night of work and get awesome bloody Mary's and have enjoyable conversation with the bartender, Carly.
Good lunch deals
It's fine.
Great bands and even good prices on cover and drinks
Breakfast buffet was awesome! Service was terrible, all she had to do was get me a water but after 10 minutes I just got it myself. It was pricy too.
I love Guy Hollerin's! Excellent food, a supeb staff, great drinks and prices and the best blues that Michigan has to offer. You won't be disappointed.
Great wings. Loved oven baked. And onion soup amazing.
Bartender Lori is great, has too many dogs, cold beer!!
Great chili. A bit pricey for what you get but overall good food and service.
Good food, large portions. Blues music, dancing. Good crowd.
Good place to grab a bite. It has a sports bar vibe, but because it is part of the hotel it it open when other restaurants are closed, such as holidays.
Very nice. Excellent happy hour
Service was on the slow side, the fettuccine was disappointingly flavorless, and the rolls were really underdone and chewy. Noisy from large groups. Fries were good, though.
Good food, and amazing service!
Great food and nice quiet atmosphere.
Good food.
Not a bad place. Mostly out of town visitors.
We got the nachos and steak fajitas, they were delicious and the nachos were huge. The pricing was normal for Ann Arbor. The service was great. It's nothing special but the food was tasty.
Meatloaf is really good. Sit at the bar, the server is real nice.
Good
Enjoyed the Sun Messenger band on 3/17. Drinks were great and service was excellent. Had seen the end of the U of M basketball game at the end of the evening and that infamous 3 point swish.
The Lasagna is the BOMB!!! BEST EVER!
Hospital staff receives discounts on breakfast there AWESOME! I don't work at the hospital any more but still enjoy the food. The breakfast burrito is HUGH!!!! And I like the fact that I can get a Apple Martini at 8am!!! Great food great service great deals.
One waitress for restaurant..she was great...food lukewarm...it was ok but not one I'd search out when in the area again.
Average
Service was great! Server was very nice.
Food was great, had to wait to get service , but the food came quickly, then we had to hunt down the waitress to get the bill
Terribly slow service to start. Philly cheese was lukewarm and mostly onions and peppers. Fries were good but some were warm so were cold. Artichoke dip has red onions in it and very unappealing. Wont be back.
Food was fine, service was extremely slow for a Sunday afternoon when they weren't busy.
Nice gathering place
Breakfast is great. Had Fish n chips for dinner. That was tasty too. Bri is a wonderful server.
This is where I eat every time I'm in Ann Arbor VAMC. Food is AWESOME great burgers. Best soup EVER well stocked bar good wine. Just all around great place to eat and hang with family and FRIENDS. Inside Holiday Inn in front of Marriot, next door to WYNDOM You'd have to be here to understand.
Visited Guy Hollerins on their Saturday Blues Night with a party of 6 for a birthday. Arrived at 7:00 pm to put our name in for a table because they do not take reservations after 6:00 on Saturdays. Found out that they do not take names down as you arrive either. You have to fend for yourself to get a seat/table. Even if you're there for dinner. Ordered our food at the bar because we were starving. By 8:30; Still no open tables. Finally decided to get up and politely ask another group if they could combine tables to free up a table for my party to sit at. Very understaffed. Tables stayed unbussed, food took forever and had to wait for drinks and checks as well. We even bussed our own table!! Liquor drinks are pricey but they do offer drink specials. Food was good. Band was great. Still, will not return with any party larger then 2 or for a special event.
Great food and drinks. Love the local blues and brews on Saturday nights.
I come here for the music not the food.
Lunch was disappointing. Service not so great. Server was friendly but lacked basic skills. Wrong food, then the worst Reuben sandwich. Soup & salad was good. In town for hospital visit to U of M.
Very slow service. I had an overpriced whiskey cocktail that had no taste of whiskey.
Good food, good servuce, on Saturdays usually great music.
I had their fabulous burger....it was cooked perfectly, juicy and seriously The best hamburger i have had in a very long time.
Service was not the best, neither was the food. There nachos were soggy, the lasagna was over ran with cheese. Just not good food.
Great bar , attached to the holiday inn, buffalo wings were great, so was the seafood, excellent service.
Ok
Great band, poor service.
Hotel restaurant. Food was decent, service was glacially slow. Open later which was nice.
