Did you ever get the feeling you were bothering tbe staff? Lousy service! Sat 830 pm came in, place not busy, but had 3 on staff walk by like I was invisible. Seated, order taken promptly, said yes when asked if I wanted water. Brought food, never saw waiter again, never checked back or brought water. Got my own carryout container! Then waiter dropped bill on table and walked away. Wont be back.

I have been coming to different Grand Azteca locations for over a decade. The quality of the food has remained the same. This location in particular is my current favorite. They have fantastic Monday-Thursday lunch deals, and great Happy Hour margaritas. Some of my favorites over the years are the super nachos, cheese enchiladas and Chile rellenos.

The food is good, but not as good as at Jalapenos in Pontiac. The restaurant does not let you order a la carta, for example two tacos with no beans and rice, despite numerous customer complaints and requests. Mexican restaurants are expected to serve Jamaica and Orchata; this is not the case, despite numorous customer requests. Grand Azteka used to serve beer at reasonable prices. Those times are over. $10 for 32 oz - that is what you pay at the Oktoberfest, a prime venue.

Probably one of the worst Mexican restaurants Ive been to. Food was bland. Fajita taco salad plate was surrounded by carrot and cucumber discs ...not authentic Mexican in my mind anyway.

I had Texas Fajitas, Never saw Curly chicken strips before? Proteins seemed Dated & Bland, except for the lettuce the toppings were Minimal with a Charge for more Sour cream & Tortillas. 3 isn't enough. The Free Salsa Supplied the Flavor missing & I was Somewhat Satisfied. My Guest had the enchiladas & She was Disappointed, But seriously Who Gets enchiladas? $40 for our meal Close to $50 with the Tip, The experience was Worth it but the Food was not. Overpriced & lacking in Flavor. A More Authentic Establishment is worth researching & the travel, But This Place is Sufficient when you are in a hurry.

Went because we were in the mood for some Mexican and they did Not disappoint! Wife had a molcajette with a “small” margarita— it was actually really good sized and well mixed; she said she had a bit of a buzz half way through it. The meat had great flavor and there was a Lot if it. I usually get my goto which I did again and they were on point- chicken chimichanga. Little one had some steak soft tacos/ I had a bite and they were pretty good too!

I hate Mexican food. Chi-chi's, On the Border, Don Pablo. Hate them all. The americanized mass-produced versions of ethnic food usually end up all tasting the same. I let my husband take the family here for Father's day one year and I took a chance on the fajitas. They were WONDERFUL. Arrives sizzling with a mountain of beef and chicken, so you don't feel like you have to have small pickings inside your tortillas. The salsa is fresh and not too spicy (a tactic employed by many establishments to get customers to consume less as it is bottomless). They have an endless supply of a slightly sweet white sauce that accompanies the salsa that we use to top everything we are served. We ask for to-go containers and scrape the bottom of the sauce containers with knives to obtain every atom for home use. We now frequent Azteca as one of our default choices for a night out.

Rather underwhelming overall. It's average to below average quality Americanized Mexican food. It has a decent atmosphere, but is overpriced for what you get. My biggest complaint is that when I'm at a Mexican restaurant and read "beef", I expect shredded beef. This was all ground beef, and swimming in cheap-quality sauce. I'd pay $12-15 a plate of it was good, but it wasn't. It was worth a try and it wasn't terrible, but I won't be back.

First of all, we ordered fajitas, with shrimp, beef & whatever else came with it.. we thought they were going to be premade, they were not, they just brought out a skillet of meat. They took our order, and maybe 2-4 minutes later had our food ready.... We grabbed the tiny tortillas and started making our fajitas. We ate some, and it wasn't the greatest... Later after getting home both my boyfriend & I got ill. Our stomachs were in knots & it was not a pleasant evening. Not sure how they got all that food cooked & ready in 2 minutes.. I'm pretty sure a lot of it was undercooked. They have good drinks, but I don't really drink anymore, so therefore I probably will not return to Azteca ever again. I'll say I like the restaurant & the cool decorations & tables, dislike the food.

This is my favorite local place to go when I am craving Mexican food. The first thing you need to order is the Jumbo Blue Margarita. It does not matter if you get it on the rocks or blended, it is hands down one of the best margaritas you will ever have. Over the past couple of years I have worked my way through the menu and I have never had a bad meal or even one that I would consider average. Everything is great! If I had to reccomend one item I would go with the Molcajete. It comes with a lot of meat and veggies and has a great flavor. I would reccomend splitting it with someone because it is huge but other than that it is a great meal!

But minus three stars for the two - not one, but two - pieces of sharp wooden stick (the kind you stick in club sandwiches) buried in the food. Hidden Mexican, this is about the only way to describe. The service is good and the food is okay, seems almost like a fast food restaurant at times that's how quick the food comes out but I still haven't decided if that's a good thing or a bad thing. The decorations on the other hand are pretty amazing and entertaining.

I wish I could give a zero star review. The short version is I paid full price for a margarita and three burritos with metal scrub brush in them. They asked me if I wanted a box to take the rest home. No. I want burritos without metal shavings in them. I also waited a long time for a waitress to help me, my margarita, and my scrub brush burritos to come out.

The food and service were very good, especially considering the price point. I went here with my coworkers for my birthday. I was surprised by the staff plunking a sombrero down on my head and singing Happy Birthday to me in Spanish. Then they gave me a free dessert. That's all very nice, I'm just not the kind of person that enjoys that kind of attention. So if you're like me, go eat here, but not for your birthday. If you like that sort of thing - highly recommend.

Fast service, great white dipping sauce with chips, and the margaritas are huge! We frequently order one combination plate and are brought something totally different. We're not upset because it's all the same basic ingredients and well, we mentioned the big margaritas right? You're pretty relaxed once it arrives. The staff is very attentive.

Excellent Chile Relenos! Better than anywhere else! (Including Mexican Village!) This location on Long Lake Rd., in Troy, MI. Is superior in its food to the other locations. Nice environment & fast service at anytime of day. You can go on your lunch hour & not worry about getting back on time. Great prices too. They have coupons in the local mailers & neighborhood papers as well!
