Nice little spot on the edge of downtown. Good, fresh food. Interesting but safe menu. Mostly classic deli fare but with a modern splash. It's counter order but table service. Speaking of service, it definitely could've been better. Young girl at the counter seemed checked out, as did the young man that brought us out our food. He never came back to refill our drinks or ask how it was. The kitchen staff looked just as disgruntled as the FOH crew. Food was great though. Came out quickly, everything was correct and they were pretty hefty portions. We were very happy with everything we ordered.

Mine tasted awesome and my friend was raving about her salad the entire time too. I definitely plan on going back to try more things on menu.

Fantastic food, great staff who are always very accommodating, and one of the few places I feel like I get a really well composed dish. Reminds me of Chicago joints in a way. I'd recommend something, but honestly it is all great. Get the grilled salmon salad with goat cheese and the Poppy, oh and the fries! Get it all!

Awesome healthy options, many of them plant based (including smoothies)! Try the cauliflower burger or black bean quesadilla! I love the vibe, which is like comfort food meets upscale healthy food at a reasonable price. I also love that it's a casual walk up but you get some table service. Every one is super friendly. It's also in one of the original buildings in Rochester and the history is celebrated. Cute outdoor seating in the summer.

Good but overpriced. Crazy to pay $15 for a sandwich. I got the prime rib sandwich, flavores were great but the prime rib was over cooked. Husband liked his burger and kids were happy with their chicken and quesadilla. Just wish it wasnt so pricey.

I really love eating at this place! The food is so good and refreshing. It is just different than most menus. Better choices! The only thing that stops me from giving 5 stars is the tables and chairs. They are OK but it's like sitting at a card table playing poker in your basement. Not so comfy. Other than that, I still go every chance I get. Hi priced but worth it I think!

Lovely little place! Had the chicken waffle sandwich and it was top notch! It was loaded with a variety of fresh toppings and the waffle was perfectly cooked. Highly recommend this sandwich. Family friendly. Many high chairs available and there is a changing table in the restroom.

This place is amazing. I was in Rochester for a week on business and went five times. Their breakfast sandwich, burgers, and lunch sandwiches are excellent, and all for a very reasonable price. The Donavan is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had.

Absolutely love this restaurant! They have a large variety of vegetarian options which are healthy and really yummy. The staff is attentive and friendly. We order there at least once a week! Today I walked to the parking lot and accidentally dropped two of the smoothies I had just ordered. When I went back in and told them what happened they immediate re-made them free of charge. ❤️❤️

This was my first visit and I was very impressed!! The vegan menu had great options that I hadn't seen online. I have a pretty severe dairy allergy so I usually order vegan when out at a restaurant. It was amazing and the ingredients seemed fresh. The flavor combinations of my vegan burger we're SUPERB. The staff was also very cordial and professional. The space was clean, inviting, and comfortable. I was even able to people watch through the windows, and I was sitting at an inside corner table!

The food was great! It was refreshing to eat. I ordered the chicken and apple wrap & water, my client had a chicken quesadilla with chips and a coke- the total was $26.50 I believe. Not sure if refills are included when you dine-in but, we did not get any. The atmosphere in the restaurant could be a little more friendly. I tried making conversation with the lady taking orders a few times and she just wasn’t having it

Chomp is an okay restaurant. At its core, it's a sandwich and hamburger joint... not exactly high end healthy food. But they have a lot of twists that allow for plenty of vegan options. Consequently the better than average rating. I will probably go back sometime to try more if the menu.

After biking the Paint Creek Trail, we wanted something light for lunch. We had never been to Chomp and I am so glad we discovered it! They offer a variety of salads, sandwiches, and burgers, along with raw juices and smoothies. Three of the items we ordered included the BGC (balsamic glazed chicken breast, goat cheese, roasted red peppers, spinach, tomato, lemon-basil aioli on a ciabatta), Poppy (grilled chicken breast, roasted red peppers, mozzarella, basil, sun-dried tomato pesto on a grilled ciabatta) and the Philly (roast beef, provolone, sautéed peppers, onions, mushrooms and mayo) and everything was great! We also had seasoned fries and mozzarella stings. The seasoned fries were great, but next time we will do without the $5 mozzarella sticks with no dipping sauce. Everything looked fantastic and tasted really fresh. We will definitely dine at Chomp the next time we are in Rochester!

Great menu, great staff. They offer vegan and vegetarian options as well. And oh my gosh the Lavender Lemonade is to die for. Try the brussel sprouts, charred and savory and there's enough for an entire meal. Prices are a little up there but you also pay for quality and they use pretty high end ingredients.

I really enjoyed my meal with my family at Chomp. The truffle fries are delicious, so was the quinoa bowl I ordered. My family enjoyed their food as well, especially the smoothies. It's obvious why they are so busy in the summer. I recommend Chomp to anyone who likes a good salad, sandwich or smoothie.

Great, healthy food served home style. I love the fact that there isn't table service and you can just tip right on your bill at the register upon placing your order. The place is small so if it's busy, prepare to wait because they can only seat about 40 or less. But it's worth the wait. Try the quesadilla burger!!!

Hidden little gem in downtown Rochester. Great for a quick bite, fast and friendly service. Green machine juice is on the pics, it was amazing. Best onion rings I've ever eaten(more like pieces, don't remember what it was called on the menu). Cauliflower Burger in gluten free bun.. Was delicious. Will definitely going back to try more items on the menu. Update January 2019: love this place! Gluten free burger bun and sandwich bread avaliable. They also have vegan burger. Great choices for healthy satisfying meals.

My wife and I were craving sandwiches other than the typical fast food chain foot longs so we decided to go to Chomp. When you first walk in it is seat yourself in a very small building after you place your order at the cash register, they then hand you a number and will bring your food to you. Seems okay, but once we ordered and sat down it took 55 minutes before we received our food. Now I understand I need some patience because they were very busy but once I saw people that walked in ten minutes ago already receiving their food then I got irritated. Right around that time the just came to another couple and told them they screwed their order up (they were waiting before we got there) and offered them a soda while they wait but instead they walked out. So finally they start bringing us our food, the truffle fries are good but the onion petals I think are supposed to have some sort of sauce they did not give us that. By now our 7 week old baby has had enough so I told them please make this to go and they did while I don't know exactly what they said I did hear them saying something about the baby crying, not sure if they were just explaining the situation to each other or being rude. Anyway, I got the Cajun chicken sandwich it was really good and my wife got BBQ chicken wrap which she also enjoyed. So they saved face a bit with how good the food, smoothies and juice were which means they were able to scrape in barely at 3 stars. I'll be hard pressed to return but maybe one day if I have 2 hours to get a sandwich.

It's a cute little place for people who like walking in downtown Rochester for the whole mom-and-pop feel. That's about it. The menu is limited, the interior is crowded, the food takes forever to serve, and you're paying five star restaurant prices for a flat Burger. The only reason a place like this is still in business is because people feel Superior going and walking around downtown and they eventually need food

First, the good – the sriracha burger was freshly made and excellent. tasting Now the bad – overpriced for a burger sandwich joint, no chips/fries with your overpriced burger, and no drink refills. Finally, the inexcusable ugly – service was extremely slow (over 30-min on a slow day to serve us a burger and a wrap), which would have only been bad except 10 minutes after we ordered friends of the kids working the counter came in and their orders were pushed in front of ours; and they were served a good 5 to 10 minutes before us. Just a bad experience, won’t be returning.

Unfortunately will not be returning. We waited 45 minutes and paid $43, and the food was less than impressive. My fiance was on the hunt for the best club sandwich and was hugely disappointed in what he received. The atmosphere was like a cafeteria...tables were not wiped, everyone super close and the conversations nearby were super annoying. There are many places closer to home that would have been a way better experience for less money.

Order the donnovan, it's my whole family's regular order. Great food, but pricey, something like $15 per sandwich, but they are usually big enough to feed two people (or at least me and my sister). The sweet potato fries are good but you dont really get a lot per order.

Love Chomp!! I have now tried a good portion of their menu and pretty much everything is amazing. Their breakfast croissant and their little Bob sammiches are delicious! I love that they have new specials all the time that are different and scrumptious! Just be warned if you go during a peak time you will most likely have a wait but it will be worth it. There is limited seating but now that the weather is nicer there is also patio seating in the back!

Chomp is great for a quick yummy sandwich and healthy drink. I was bummed to find out breakfast stopped at a certain point and didn't see that written anywhere, but I went with the blueberry smoothie and chicken wrap with fries which were all great. The regular fries were alright but didn't curb my craving as much as I would've liked. I'd suggest going for the fancier fries. The ranch was super runny too. It was busy when I went around lunch and not a lot of room for a line but I enjoyed eating outside!

Pretty basic layout. Order & pay , food brought to your table. Only had soup today , but it was outstanding. Looking around at other tables, food looked pretty damn good. Easy to miss, but don't !! You'll be glad you stopped in!

It was just ok. I ordered a black bean burger to go. I got the lettuce, and tomatoes (no condiments) on the side, so that my buns were not soggy once I arrived home. Not only were my buns soggy, they seemed to be drenched in butter. I basically had to make me another burger once I got home, which was less than an hour from pick up. In addition, I saw the kitchen staff handling food with no gloves on. I know this happens on a regular, however, typically when you have open or somewhat open kitchen concepts, they are typically more prone to wearing gloves more often than not. I had been here years ago, things seemed to be a bit different back then. Everyone was nice though, which will most definitely bring me back again.

Very good food. Had soup, sandwiches and crispy Brussel sprouts (excellent). Quick service for designer fair food. Sandwiches were generous and served with no included side (chips or fries) everything is ala cart. A little pricier than the average sandwich shop. If you are looking for better than average fair Chomp will fit your taste. Small seating area for the traffic they get on main street. Soup was home made and delicious as well.
