Absolutely froze in this over air conditioned place. Took forever to be served. The waitress said “ we have one cook and one server.” We had to get up to ask for our food.. waitress said they “lost our ticket”. Don’t risk missing your flight and raising your blood pressure to eat here!

Hello the drop down wouldn't let me select the correct location. I went to your Champps location in DTW - Detroit Metro Airport on 12/20/18 at around 5 pm. Regrettably I don't have the receipt as I left it under the payment and tip. Anyways, I ordered the chili nachos and chicken quesadilla. We got to our hotel at around 1am and slept around 3am. During 3-7am I had a lot of gas (flatulence). Then around 7 I woke up with the strong urgency to "go". I had a serious case of diarrhea. I kept waking up between 7 am to 10 am with diarrhea and at one point was so nauseated that I vomited. What I am trying to say is that I believe I got sick or food poisoning while dining at your restaurant. Please check to see if your kitchen is clean and your products good. I am highly discouraged from my experience and am still feeling tired and weak even until 12/22. I still feel the urgency to go though when I do, nothing happens. I am a highly dissatisfied and concerned citizen. We had traveled to Florida to make it to a wedding and one of the functions was yesterday, 12/21, and I was definitely feeling under the weather. How are you going to make it up to me? Oh another detail, the waiter who served us was a chubbier Caucasian man and it took like forever for the food to get to us, but it was clearly the dinner rush hour the time we were there. What's going on Champps? Hello again, Oh and another thing, this wasn't an isolated incident. I had been traveling with my sister, and she and I both ate the same food, as we shared the nachos and quesadilla. I had consumed a greater quantity of food, as her symptoms didn't seem as severe, but she was also experiencing diarrhea throughout the night. Although her diarrhea started before mine, she was in the bathroom around 3 am on 12/20/18. Please check your kitchen and product and cleanliness. I would hate for other customers to get as sick as I was. I googled my symptoms and they were along the lines of salmonella poisoning. Please take corrective actions to this matter. Thank you.

Seems to be a growing trend here in the Big D with merchants not knowing how to spell, and this restaurant seems to be a prime example, unless its name is derived, perhaps, from a proper name. There are lots of TVs in this establishment, but they seem to be tuned always to news programs, rather than ESPN or something like that. Food and drinks are pricey. Some of the food is spicey and tangy, so maybe the news can give you a heads up on weather to factor in the turbulence - vehicular motion - air sickness value. I've never seen the place to be very crowded, so it's not a bad place to go if you're meeting someone.

Long layover in Detroit airport and needed a good meal. Unfortunately, fish and chips was a miss. The fish was fried hard with a lot of breading. Most certainly frozen cod filet that was ore traded and dropped in grease. Barely edible with no flavor. Service was fine. I would go back for a burger but they couldn’t pay me to eat the fish again.

It's proven time again it's bad service. If you're gonna eat here be in the airport two hours before your flight. Food is okay at best. Probably go with the salad it will still take forever to get.

I went in for a cold beer and was served without incident. I witnessed gentlemen (2), one on either side of me order food and wait 40-45 minutes, resulting in one getting still frozen fish in his fish and chips, and the other man got the wrong order 3 times before he had to cancel the order to catch his plane. I was not impressed with this experience at Champps!

The service was remarkably slow, and the staff seemed only to fulfill requests when you flagged them down to remind them (we're not entirely sure how long our food was sitting in the back waiting for a server to pick it up after we pointed out how long it was taking). That being said, the beer selection was great - as long as you could get the attention of an employee to serve you.

On Friday December 29, 2017 my daughter in-law got stranded in Detroit Metro for 12 hours with no money or anything to eat, the worthless airlines refused to help so I had to figure out how I could. I called multiple restaurants to place an order over the phone for her but none of them would accommodate me, until I called Champps. A very helpful man named Vinnie or Vincent told me he would be more than happy to assist her just have her come in she ordered I payed with my credit card and she finally got food after 10 hours in a airport. Vinnie did not have to do this but he is a man that understands the struggles of life and not how to rush judgment, thank you for everything Vinnie and I will pay you back someday for your kindness and hospitality. Do not go to Champs if your handicapped and in a wheelchair. I asked two waitresses if it was okay and they said, "no problem". I ordered a drink and dinner. The manager came up and told me "I'm causing a fire hazzard". I got so upset, I cancelled my dinner order. The manager told me that if I didn't pay for my meal, he would call the police. I paid for my drink and left. He did not offer me a handicap table. He was so mean and I was shaking angry!!! The manager needs handicap training.

Nice place, but the waitress dropped spinach dip on my back (which got all over my shirt) and didn’t even offer to provide any compensation (she did apologize though). It was a lot, and I didn’t complain, but it would’ve been professional to at least be offered something as a gesture. Otherwise, everything else was ok.

Champps is a good place to get some decent food at a decent price while waiting for your flight. Don't settle for over-inflated fast food prices when there are awesome burgers at champps. The wait staff is friendly and very mindful of when you need to board your flight. The food is quick and very tasty. There are even glute-free sanwich options. The meal is so large that you can bring the leftovers for an in-flight snack. Large screen TV's with different stations give some entertainment to pass the time as you wait for your flight. A bit of a sports theme gives a fun atmosphere. We discovered this little gem last year and it is our #1 choice as we wait to board.

Sat at the bar and Kimberley was amazing. She was slammed but she was super attentive and sweet. The kitchen seemed to be having some issues which does seem to he a common theme with this restaurant. The lady's salad next to me came out with cold chicken. The guy on the other side of me had to wait quite a while to even be served or get a drink. I had a cheeseburger it was delicious and everything was more than affordable for an airport bar. Personally I had no real issues with this restaurant but can understand some of other peoples complaints.

Charge for doubles without asking, even though they're using an electronic 1oz pour. When you ask about it the manager will tell you "that's just how it is. We have 75 stores and they're all this way" Slow is something I can deal with, but crooked I cannot.

I visited the location inside the North Terminal at Detroit Metro Airport. It is located near the D gates. The service was quick and good. The food was good. Of course the drink prices were really high. Overall a good place to grab a drink and bite to eat before you board your plane.

Beer selection is OK with typical airport pricing. Food delivery is slow but very good. Use the time wisely and forget that you’re in the airport. Service staff very personable and an important asset to the company. We’ll stop in again.

Slow service for an airport restaurant. Asked waitress for no blue cheese and ranch dressing. Gave me blue cheese dressing and blue cheese crumbles. Problem was I had an allergic reaction and all I got was "You want another salad". After recovering from the anayphlaxsis the 2nd salad arrived. This time there was Ranch dressing on the side ....but Blue cheese crumbles all over the salad! Needless to say, not happy with this place

If you're in a hurry, DO NOT go to this restaurant. Service was prompt, but food took over 25 minutes. I ordered the California Turkey wrap and it was super saturated with Italian dressing which was disgusting. If I wasn't very hungry and knowing I would get another chance to eat in several hours I wouldn't have eaten the slop. There are many other options at the airport, so avoid Champps and go somewhere else.

Chris B was my waiter according to my receipt. He was one of the most unenthusaistic waiters I've ever seen. I think the only things he said to me were to ask for my drink and food order. Regular sized draft Blue Moon was $10. Crazy high, even for airports. I had a burger at TGI Fridays and tall (more oz) draft Stella and it was $7 I think? 2 stars because the fish and chips were pretty good and nicely cooked although the fries were barely warm.

Took 20 min to even be acknowledged. Then the server brought over a cup of water that had been sitting on a table of people that had just gotten up. Have been waiting 30 minutes for food and our server is no where to be found. Painfully slow service especially when everyone has a flight to catch. We were then informed that they have ONE cook. This place is just a mess. Awful, awful, awful service!

Not many places at DTW.this place is way at the end of the terminal. Stopped in for a quick drink before a flight. Bartender was quick, made a good drink, and cashed me out quick when it was time to go.

I have breakfast in DET, asked hot tee. Layde bringed me cup of hot water. By colors on the cup, I could tell, someone was drinking cofe before me and in cups bottom was something swimming. I tell to great layde to chenge it. After wile, wen I complete my breakfast, she asked me if I would like to something else. I tell- I still waiting for my tee..and shee answered- aaa I thought you don’t wanna tee:) I tell her- I wanna thee just with out inclusions:) She again bring cup of water with additional goodies in whater. Wen I show too her, she with attitude start ower talk to me. Manager listen my story. Walk to angry lady something tell her. Manager doesn’t give me any feedback, and any sorry:) So, situation really simple and stupid, how simple breakfast can become drama for coup of tee:))

It's ok...it is an airport restaurant for goodness sakes...so you have to expect less quality. It's like an amusement park...expect to pay more for low quality food slung out very carelessly. Please hire a professional chef as you certainly charge enough to pay Gordon Ramsay!!!!
