I normally don’t critic food but I had to for this restaurant. During lunch time, $13 bought a frozen patty and fries heated up. I would have been more content going to McDonald’s and spending less on a burger ? (Not a average McDonald’s customer) I would not have written this review if the meal actually cost what it really is (Fast Food).

Tried this place for the first time on 07/08/18 was very disappointed. It took a good 15 minutes to get the burger and it was slow. Burger had zero flavor and it was charred burnt. Every time I took bite I could feel it crunch as if I were eating potato chips. The fries are nothing special, they were cold and over seasoned with salt. Overpriced for burger and fries for $9

Great service! Everyone was smiling and so kind during our entire visit, checking on our table often to clean away finished pieces. Food is incredible! Probably the best burger I've had in my visit to Michigan (the Tex Mex number 7). Great assortment of sauces at the condiments counter, and a beautifully prepared shake (awesome flavors like PB&J). My husband and I wanted a quick hamburger and I had a brilliant idea (so I thought) to try a new place. The gentleman that was working Friday (7 p.m.) was really patient with us ordering (being our first time) and he’s very nice. We found a table to sit at and then I saw someone enjoying a shake and I had to have one. There was a couple ordering so I stood behind them (next to the drink machine). I didn’t realize there was a line where customers wait and no one was waiting in line. Another customer walked in and I saw him line up in the correct spot (he saw me waiting while walking in). When the lady working walks up to the second register (she must have been alerted from the customer entering) and as I step forward to order she says, “it’s not your turn”. I proceed to tell her, “I’ve been waiting in line before he even walked into the establishment. It’s my first time here and I didn’t realize I was waiting in the wrong spot, directly behind the customer being helped. As she just looks at me with a blank face and says nothing. I ask if she’s going to help me and take my order? Instead of maybe saying, “can I help you or oh sorry for the misunderstanding I thought you were with the people that are ordering”. She replies, “what do you want”. I look up at the menu to order a shake and then realize that I don’t even want the dessert from someone that’s making me feel very uncomfortable. Especially because this same lady could potentially make my shake. Mind you, that the customer behind didn’t object to anything that I’ve stated because he saw me waiting in line, like a normal person. I simply tell her that I don’t need to order anything off the menu. I understand that people can make mistakes (I stood a few feet in the wrong spot in line) and that the employee didn’t realize in fact it was my turn. I had to justify that it was my turn to order and not once could she even apologize for the misunderstanding. The employee could’ve handled the situation differently and in a professional manner. She didn’t even say one word to me as I walked away and I sat at the table to wait for the food. Obviously, I wasn’t in a rush because I had already purchased a drink with my order and I was waiting for the food that I ordered. If it wasn’t for me already placing my initial order, I would’ve just walked out the door and took my business elsewhere.

I ordered a medium burger, and it came out well done. My wife's was the same story. We also ordered chili fries. Don't do that. The chili tastes like just canned chili that is reheated. The only thing worth the price was their ale cheese fries. At this price point, red Robin is far better value, and only 3 minutes away.

This was my first visit to Burger 21. I ordered a Turkey burger and my son ordered a baconcheeseburger. I was very happy with our order. The turkey burger was very good and my son loved his burger as well. The fries were fresh and good as well! I will definitely be back and bring my mom.

But I ordered a half and half of fries(potato/sweet potato)to share and a all potato was brought and when I asked about this, the man that took my order and brought the food point blank told me NO THAT IS NOT WHAT YOU ORDERED. But it was sir. They did nothing about this and then we got our food but the shakes we ordered came after we ate our food in its entirety. So good food plus bad service for 2 burgers, a share fries and 2 shakes for $27+ I expect more.

With food allergies my fast food restaurants are limited. I love the "impossible " burger. Not only is the pattie vegan but you can also have it on a delicious gluten free bread. So good! And they have sweet potato fries all year round.

The burgers all look great on the menu, but I had the mushroom burger and it really didn't have much flavor. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't a stand out burger either. Just a typical Burger 21 here. Nothing too special, but I enjoyed a delicious meal here. The service was normal, and there were no issues at this restaurant. The 4 stars is because it's just a "run-of-the-mill" vibe inside.

Amazing Burger & Frys!!! I highly recommed this place to everyone ! Tonight was my first time trying Burger21 & I'm so beyond happy I did. One of the best Burgers I've ever had . I ordered the Shrooms Burger with Frys. Everything on the Burger was top notch, even down to the seasoning on the frys. The place itself is well kept & newly remolded. This is a nice alternative to the typical fast food places in the area. They have some really great variety burgers and everything tastes fresh. Their fries are similar to McDonald's, but I find them to be better. They have several different ketchups and some sauces, most of which aren't to my taste, but it's nice to have the variety if you're looking for something different. I've had several different burgers and they've all been really good.

They call me the burger man and this is one of the best burgers I’ve had in my 23 years on this earth. I have had many burgers from millers in Dearborn to the townhouse downtown to five guys to blimpies and to the Novi Chophouse. I’m in shock this was my first time coming here and that it is not talked about cuz man that was good this is my first food review and for good reason oh baby that was a good burger I can’t wait to get another one tommorow the juice flowing through the patties was unbelievable not to mention the onion straws and bacon cooked to perfection oh baby I can taste it now really hard to believe this place isn’t more talked about love it

The burgers are very good here, whether you're looking for a simple burger or the works you'll find something that you like. The shakes are also delicious and the fries by themselves are perfect (I don't recommend the chili or cheese sauce personally but they're not bad if you're into that). Food comes out quick, and it's definitely kid friendly. I don't recommend a huge group, there are only a few booths and a handful of small tables.

Soooo good! I want to eventually try every burger. They have 20 burgers on their menu and 1 that is an ever changing special (thus the name). The burgers are fresh, unique, and flavorful. There's a burger with hash browns on it. Amazing. You can also get regular fries, sweet potato fries, or half and half. Then they have a counter with several different house sauces for dipping. Two of those sauces are sweet ones for the sweet potatoes. The service is quick and friendly. The prices are great for the quantity and quality. You too will want to come back and try everything.

Existing in the growing grey space between fast food and table service, Burger 21 offers a pleasant counter-service burger experience. Employees were friendly and attentive. The food was good quality, especially for the price point. A medium burger is actually cooked medium and the patties are honest thick and juicy patties. Fries are plentiful if you order a platter to share. Burger 21 differentiates itself from its competition in two important regards. The first is a bright and airy dining room atmosphere. White tile dominates the space with accents added such that it doesn't feel sterile, just clean. It's reminiscent of the classic 50s soda shop and dairy bar. The second is a plethora of sauces to try. From the signature 21 sauce to the smoky chipotle mayo or the sweet marshmallow sauce there's something to compliment whatever food choice you've made to your taste. I'll be going back again.

My wife and I really enjoy this place. The burgers are good (especially the black and bleu). The fries are really good. And the shakes are great! They also have a good selection of ketchup sauces. Toasted marshmallow may be my new favorite. The wife loves the Thai ketchup. We definitely recommend this place!

Terrible service. Ordered a shake with a friend on the same order and my friend got his...but not me. When I asked...I was told there was no ticket. The lady who took our order overheard the conversation and confirmed the order but offered up no other help. My skake was finally made and handed to me...with no apology. 2 shakes...25 minutes. WTF is wrong with people. Customer service is EVERYTHING!!! Oh, and the shake was too f'ing thick.

Food was ok, but I agree with others, over priced for what you get. The fries are nothing special, just a normal shoestring fry. I had several that were nearly raw in my basket. The burgers are somewhat ordinary with little excitement. They ask how you want it cooked but it doesn't appear to matter. I requested medium and it was completely well done. I mentioned it to one of the staff that said they would mention it to the manager, but 10 minutes later no one came by the table. Also, if ordering a double stack cheeseburger, there should be cheese on each patty. Some benefit of the doubt, they were training some new people. However, maybe Saturday night during peak time is not ideal for that. Overall, food was average, service was questionable. I would recommend many other of the "specialty" burger places in the area before returning here.

We tried Burger 21 for the first time this week and were very impressed. I had the bacon cheeseburger, which was juicy and full of flavor. My husband had the patty melt on Texas Toast. He liked it, but found it a bit on the greasy side. He also had a milkshake, which was made from scratch. I had the French fries, which were good, although I was disappointed that they were thin, like McDonald’s fries. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The prices are high, but you get real quality for your money. We will be back.

So we stopped by over the weekend. We went in, the layout was weird to us. 2 registers at a small counter in the corner behind a huge condiment island (which took up a huge part of the foot print of the store) 1 guy was trying hard to ring up a lady who was ordering for 5 or 6 kids, and another guy was on the phone, I think taking an order. When he finished he walked away. A gal came out from the back and just stood there. No one said hi, we'll be right with you or anything. My hubby looked at me and said "I don't like this" so we left. The food looked good online, when we got in there we didn't care for the menu options and the the overall atmosphere just felt off. I don't like to rate places I haven't actually eaten at, but this time I'll get over it!
