REVIEWS OF Bistro 82 IN Michigan

Christy Campbell

My daughter and I wanted to try something new so we went to Bistro 82 for Easter brunch... We took the last reservation for the day and it showed... We both got steak and eggs.... My daughter's steak was full of fatty gristle, the medallion potatoes had a God-awful taste, the broccoli was overcooked, and I swear that the eggs were powdered... I had high expectations for this place because of the reviews, but the food was so bad that I found it wasn't worth the 35 minute drive to get there... I did tell the waiter what we thought, he was gracious enough and offered us a free dessert which we accepted... The binets were overcooked and not worthy of even being served at a Dunkin Donuts... Sad thing is is that we have tickets at the Royal Oak Music Theater in October, which is right next door... Needless to say we will most certainly not be eating at Bistro 82 that night... It was the worst Easter dinner we ever had....

Alyssa Werner

My boyfriend's work had their company party here and it was FANTASTIC. Great drinks, appetizers (I highly recommend to the goat cheese salad) and hands down the BEST scallop entree I've ever had. 10/10 would recommend.

Rene Kadoo

Everything my girlfriend and I ordered here was just Ok, it was nothing special. We had the salmon dish and the 100 layer Lasagna dish with a side of Potatoes au Gratin, with the chocolate tart for dessert. The best of all that was the potatoes au gratin - they were really good, everything else was just Ok I can't even say it was good. The ambiamce was too dark and grey mood-ish feeling, not too mention it really cold at night. Definitely does not live up to the fancy and much too expensive for food that's just Ok. Service was good.

J Baker

What an amazing evening I had. Reunion with an old friend was even better because of the staff here. Thank you for a incredible dinner. . Jb

We went in to celebrate my husband's birthday. we loved their ambience and service(Justin was too nice). The food was top notch(expensive, but the presentation, taste and textures compensate). I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a place to celebrate with your beloved ones.

Everett Dyson

Great place for a first date. I ordered the Bistro burger rare, it was great.

ivory acrey

I had the best time there tonight!!!! Food was delicious and the service was wonderful. Will definitely recommend to friends and will be back!!!

vampirelover1girl

Not much of a menu honestly, and very pricy. We looked through the menu and left. The waitstaff was great it just wasn't what i was hoping.

John Nitzh

Good food, good atmosphere, and New York prices. Be ready, most entrees are $35. Wait staff was great. Would have been 4 stars with more reasonable pricing. Also VERY busy, make a reservation.

Nikki Jenkins

Amazing food and great cocktails! Got a table with no reservation...the hostess squeezed us in on a Saturday night. Beautiful decor, and our server was awesome. We will be back!

Waui Reyes

Steak Frites are good. I have tasted some of the food that were shared and passed around and also the desserts. Most of the food are good looking but of average taste. Kinda expensive. Ambiance is good at night, and average noise levels. Not so fancy. Price is on the average to expensive. Good place for adult get together. Celebrating a birthday here is just so-so. Best probably for having a quiet dinner date.

David Friedel

One of the best dinning experiences I have ever had. The food was outstanding and the service was great. It's nice to know places like this do exist. I will definitely be back.

Liz Bergren

We LOVE Bistro 82!! Its our favorite restaurant. They have the best food, wonderful staff... GREAT happy hour! We cannot recommend it more. The the french onion dumplings are a must try!

Tiffany Ohman

I like most of the food, but the service takes waaaaaay too long. It's a place that would be nice for happy hour or a quick dinner, but it's not set up for speed. On the plus side, the decor is nice, and all of the bartenders are friendly.

Cathy Gilbert

Excellent service, good wine selection and dinner selections were presentation was excellent. Had the goat cheese salad, escargots and filet. All were very done to perfection.

The food was delicious, they had us seated very close to our reservation time and at one point there was flooding from the kitchen I think and they cleaned it up very fast and offered to move anyone if they were too worried about the water. Very nice staff and good atmosphere.

Heather Knight

I was in Royal Oak to see Tom Segura on St Patrick's day. My boss suggested I try out bistro 82, so I did. It was amazing. I sat at the bar because I was by myself. The bartender was awesome, very knowledgable, and gave excellent suggestions. I had the feature, a glass of wine, dessert, and a Manhattan. Delicious. All of it. I want to say his name was Dustin, but don't hold me to that. If I am ever in the area again, I will certainly be back!

Amanda Aurand

Delicious cuisine. Amazing craft cocktails and great wine selection. Best oysters in town. Fun and friendly. Awesome happy hour for those with a discriminating palate.

Angie Starr

One of my favorite restaurants! I love the ambiance. Highly Recommended!

Jim Rasor

Nothing better in the D! Amazing atmosphere, delicious food, very accommodating staff. The happy hour menu is delightful and well priced. The bartenders have some tricks up their sleeves!

Anastasiya O'Neil

It’s a great place, reminds me a lot of my favorite restaurant in my home country in Europe. High end, limited menu, awesome escargots and tartare. David, the waiter, was great, polite, not pushy at all, he recommended a great goat cheese salad, if you love cheese, give it a try. The only reason why I took one star out was the fact that the kitchen was so backed up, that we waited 30 minutes for our entrees, almost got late for the show we were going to, and the restaurant was not even half full, so they need to do something about it. Other than that, great place for a romantic date with great food

sara shoka

Service was excellent. Our waitress, Rachel, was friendly, very knowledgeable and prompt. My sister and I both ordered the filet which was good but lacked a bit of flavor as did the starter caesar salad which I would not recommend. For dessert we had the beignets which I suggest trying as they were fresh and tasted pretty good when paired with the caramel dip.

Raymund Templora

Went for our anniversary and was happy with the service. Our waitress was knowledgeable and was spot on with her suggestions. The ambiance was nice, but more of an older crowd. Prices were a little on the high side, but was worth it for the quality of the food and complete dining experience. I would probably go back to have a nice dinner, but I wouldn't make it a weekly visit cause my wallet wouldn't be able to handle it.

Greg G

Top notch food and service.

chris ewert

Pepper crusted filet mignon is quite possibly the best steak I’ve ever had!

J.J. Dawson

The food was very well made along with the great service we received made Bistro 82 a great experience. The wine is broad and can get as expensive as you want. The by the glass selection is very good a little pricey in places but overall good

Alyssa Werner

My boyfriend's work had their company party here and it was FANTASTIC. Great drinks, appetizers (I highly recommend to the goat cheese salad) and hands down the BEST scallop entree I've ever had. 10/10 would recommend.

Theresa Barr

Interesting menu ootions, nice ambience, knowledgable wait staff.

T Scott Galloway

Exceptional in every way. Great wine list. Try the scallops, cauliflower and mushroom pave.

Matthew Shur

Hostile work atmosphere that spills out from the kitchen onto the dining room floor. The food was great, but I am 100% turned away for good due to the negativity I experienced and witnessed. I would rather go to another restaurant wherein the higher-level employees treat their staff with respect and enjoy their craft. Bad attitudes foster a sour environment. NOTE: This review dates back to the end of 2016. Work dynamics can certainly improve over time with concerted efforts, but my experience left such an unpleasant impression that I felt compelled to post it here.

Lewi Custom

See the Face book review. Character limit was reached here. Horrible food, presentation, prices and service. I can not believe this is considered anything worthy of even one star. If there was evidence of intent or attempt to provide quality product and service... one star would be worthy.

Paige Rubleski

Took Adam for his birthday and dinner was excellent! We had mainly seafood items for appetizers and entrees and they were incredibly done. The service was excellent and our waitresses were extremely knowledgeable of the plates. 10/10 recommend for birthdays and date nights!

David Lemieux

Best restaurant in Royal Oak

Taylor Brown

Amazing food and service! The filet mignon and grilled octopus were perfect! Great spot for a date night!

Sheldon Sakwa

Great service and food. My favorite restaurant. Sheldon Sakwa.

Pam Walker

Just there for drinks at the bar, nice place with friendly employees

Elizabeth Belen

Great place for a private event. Great place for a date. Food is awesome. My favorite dish is the cobia. The drinks are awesome and the service is always strong. Highly recommend. Finish with some incredible deserts of course.

Brandon Wenderlich

I really liked this restaurant, the atmosphere wasn't real fancy but was up scale. It was definitely a cleaner quiet, a good place to take a day. The food was amazing. Got the Surf and turf (not on the menu) and the bone marrow. It was one of the best steaks I have ever had. The scallops were a little undercooked to my taste but everything litterally melted in your mouth like butter. Our server was great. Very kind and professional and knew a lot about the menu. My girlfriend and I split a dish and he said "usually I separate the dish for you, but this rish is really beautiful and didnt want to ruin that for you" I agreed, it was beautiful plate. I would recommend this to a friend for sure

william wolfson

The service was great. The food was perfect, creative without being pretentious. The presentation was amazing. I recommend the French onion tart.

Rory Baker

The food is good though I feel that it's a little bit pricey

Roshen Mathew

Great happy hour!

carlos Escobar

Modern restaurant in the center of Lafayette ave, featuring contemporary american and european cuisine. It offers a second floor with a magnificent view onto the city and traffic. Comfortable seats and floors with dim lights and flowers through all the restaurant's hallways. Chic paintings and decors assembled perfectly giving this luxuriant and fine dinning restaurant a cozy reputation...

jeff Copeland

Don't get the burger or onion soup dumplings. Overpriced.

Raquel Ne'Cole

Costly but tasty!!

EcoMoe

Visited this phenomenal restaurant in July 2017. The food here is amazing! The absolute freshest and most delicious ravioli dinner and steak and fries I've had yet! The service is phenomenal and the environment is excellent for a night out. Will definitely visit again.

Joshua Boerger

I thought this restaurant was very overrated and overpriced. I got the fillet, and it was good, but I could have gotten something just as good for half the price at any outback. In addition, the atmosphere was not suited for dining, so much as it was for cocktails. Very dark and loud - I found myself having to yell across the table during dinner. The layout of the restaurant is essentially two rows of tables adjacent to a long isle way which leads into the kitchen, so odds are you'll be passed by servers for your entire meal.

Kenyona Deyampert

Wonderful atmosphere

NTNL

Bonjour! Who doesn't love the food of the French. Legit this place is fabulous and delicious. Even escargot is great here. Totally worth it, bring your date here and fall in love again with food!

Will Stoudemire-Pulliam

Great food. Great service. Take out a loan before you go though.

Paige Rubleski

Jer Lance

The food was absolutely fantastic. Most of the dishes have a novel twist--the orange cheesecake was more of a custard consistency, for example--but it's never distracting. Everything is well thought out, from light appetizers, to the delicious French-pressed after-meal coffee. The service was great, as well, and both members of our waitstaff were friendly, knowledgeable, and fun while never being intrusive. The portions are on the small side and the prices slightly high, but I completely feel that you get a great value for the money. I will definitely return.

XLR82XS

When I heard my friend was taking over the space at Sangria I couldn't wait to get in there and eat! 3 weeks after opening the place runs like it has been there for years and the food looks and tastes outstanding. Great atmosphere and courteous staff - highly recommended.

Michele Allen

Very expensive for small portions. The drinks are just ok nothing special mine was super bland so I switched it out for a glass of wine that I knew I would like. The service is pretty good but she kept interrupting our group mid conversation. As for the flavors they were nice my scallops could have used some more seasonings and veggies rather than 1 carrot cut into 4 sections. Nice atmosphere.

Jacqueline Affatati

My dinner was delicious. Very attentive service!!!

Jason Landis

The food, service, wine selection and friendly staff make this place absolutely the best place to have an upscale meal without the pretension of so many other places. Just awesome

Drew Sayer

Food was good but a little more form than function.

David Griffor

Excellent food and service as always. Nice atmosphere. The French onion dumplings are amazing and the filet always cooked perfectly.

Mark Komorowski

Frozen 2 could be filmed there, unpleasant to sit with your coat on during dinner. Hilarious that the hostess asked if we wanted to check our coats. Oysters, only two varieties and the waiter was far from knowledgeable about the individual quality of the selection. The bisque was barely room temp and the king crab legs were not broiled as requested. The cioppino was cooked well but over salted and seasoned, difficult to taste the individual elements. Not an intimate atmosphere and loud nor were they accommodating to our requests for some warmth. To pricey to risk a return especially since we live 100 miles north

Chef John V., new to the Bistro 82 in Royal Oak since June, has found his stride and is producing as good as it gets in Detroit's fine dining experiences. Chef John, has taken the restaurant with foams and fusions, crispies and deconstructions to a higher order... from good but pricey to excellent and worth every dollar. Starting with his amazing deconstructed desserts, don't miss his pumpkin pie or carrot cake. The biegniet with carmel like sauce on the side was as good as New Orleans best. The macaroons were very good but not amazing, as were salads of which you want to choose either the Bistro or goat cheese. A couple of great appetizers were the half dozen - French soup inspired - onion stuffed dumplings in cheese or the dumplings stuffed with rabbit. The goose fois gras was small and a touch too sweet for my preference but the presentation was creative and lovely and I would order it again , unless I ordered the beautiful filet mignon entree with fois gras as enhancer. That will be my selection next time , but the seared grouper I had was very good with an unusual and delicate white sauce that fit perfectly. They have some lovely compositions of alcoholic beverages but my grey goose martini with a light touch of white dry vermouth with twist and olive, shaking ice on the side.. was done as ordered and just right. Figure about $75 per person - a bargain for a dinner that would easily cost foodies double that in New York or Chicago. So congrats to the owners and managers at Bistro 82 who have graduated from pretending to be real good to actually being outstanding.

Andrian Juncaj

Absolutely a great place to treat others out to dinner!

Deepak Aggarwal

Always good food. Staff is super friendly and attentive. Bone marriage is delicious. Mixed cocktail are expensive but tasty. One of the few up scale places on Royal Oak

Trish

Pretty much what I expected after reading through the reviews. Service was great as were the cocktails. Steaks were pretty good but I wouldn’t rave about them. Overall nice atmosphere but I don’t see myself coming back. The reasons I am knocking off two stars are as follows: 1. Not a fan of the iPad menu 2. Limited menu - I think adding just 1-2 more items for entree and appetizer would help. I wanted an appetizer but not see any I was interested in. 3. No bread. I don’t understand this at some of these higher-end, restaurants in the area. Any steakhouse or other nice restaurant I have been to always has included some type of bread or bean salad - something. Anything. That would have been nice. 4. Food was pretty good but I have had better for the same price. 5. I would not come back for the above reasons.

Paul Stablein

The Brick Chicken was delicious.

Kenny Quin

Bistro 82 is one of the best upscale restaurants I have tried in a long while. My food was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend to anyone in the Royal Oak area

Sally Lesley

Beautiful decor, lovely staff, menu alacarte presented w an iPad just too much but I can deal. Prices high but quality meh. My halibut was over cooked dry had a tough sear from being pan fried. The filet was half inch thick! Wha happened? halibut steaks start at one inch! Risotto was good but not great. Cauliflower app was tasty. Dessert was the best. French pressed coffee excellent. So a beer appetizer fish entree dessert coffee cost me $75 dollars including 20% tip. Wanted to love it but didn’t. Sorry guys. No I won’t be back.

Tim Magroski

The food is always awesome. That wait staff excellent. One of the better restaurants around. Highly recommended.

Fred Brown

Good food, nice wine selection. Always enjoyed our visits here.

Wenda Arabsky

Great service and food. They have valet parking. That was sweet.

Jennifer Ogbu

Super yummy steak and seafood.

Ed Quisenberry

Super happy hour

Virgiree

Great food. Wish they'd switch up the menu occasionally.

Michael Mikhjian

Both food and service quality were excellent. The atmosphere is enjoyable, great place for a date.

Drew Benson

First, the food was incredible. French Onion Dumplings, Filet Mignon, Sauce cocktail. Well presented and efficiently served. Server was a little pushy, but attentive and helpful. Minus one star: no one likes tablet menus. No one. They were neat 10 years ago, but they're incredibly annoying and in every way inferior to a regular paper menu. Also, they gave us a free dessert for our anniversary! Kahlua Creme Brulee - delicious! But it's hard to beat traditional Creme Brulee, and this one didn't.

Austin Harper

Good for a fancy night out, very convenient for the Royal Oak Music Theater. Prices are a little high and portions seemed small at first but everything was delicious and surprisingly filling.

Katie Candela

Fantastic service, great food, and a fun atmosphere. We had a large party (19 people!) and we didn't wait for a thing. Our servers were very attentive and informative. We will be back!

Michael Mikhjian

Both food and service quality were excellent. The atmosphere is enjoyable, great place for a date.

Stephanie Burns

AH-mazing. My husband and I went here for our first date night after our first child was born and let me tell you they did not disappoint. We felt like we were in a chic restaurant in Chicago or NYC. The food was fantastic, great flavor, wonderful fresh ingredients. You will not leave here saying "we'll I could have made that at home." The only.... critique (if you'll even call it that) is the pictures on the menu make the dishes appear to be larger than they actually are. This is not place you would go to for large portioned plates of food. Everything is precise and the presentation is impeccable. Its enough to give your partner a bite and thoroughly enjoy the rest of the dish. We can't wait to come back here for another date night.

Kierston White

The ambiance of the bistro is one of my favorites however its a hit or miss with the staff and the food. I ate here tonight my soup was warm on the verge of being cold, and my sandwich was subpar. My husband also got soup that was very good and a steak bits that were cooked perfectly. The waiter was over all okay but had 1 too many tables as it took almost 25 minutes to get our check and the box.

Caroline Copus

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! Service was very good and so were the drinks. Food was awful! Awful. So mad. We didn't say anything but now I regret it. The oysters were delicious. The califlower was OVER cooked and the sauce barely edible. The fingerlings under cooked and tasteless. The seafood ravioli was gross. All the seafood was chewy and over cooked. The biggest waste of money. This place is a scam.

Maggie Wood

The Tuesday Filet and Cabernet special was to die for! I didn't particularly love the French onion soup wontons, though. Delicious, but I would rather a regular bowl of French onion.

christopher hunt

Best bar tenders ever

Mike Maola

Such a treat!!! Everything from staff to our drinks and meal was great. The facility was beautiful. Great option for good atmosphere and food.

Christina He

Delicious! I find it so funny that all the menus are iPads. Very nice and clean interior and friendly servers. The scallops and steak are both very delicious, I would say the steak esp is in the top 5 steaks I have ever had in a restaurant.

Abigayle Ellison

Pricey but excellent.

Adam Lancaster

Excellent food, cocktails and service

Ryan Benninger

Although the food and service was good, I felt that it did not match the price that we paid for. There are cheaper alternatives that provide a similar quality of food.

Nhoj Elrebe

Honestly, this is not a place I would recommend to a friend. Maybe a stranger, but not a friend. The prices are steep, and the quality and small portion size does not justify the high cost. The drinks are good. If you are a bourbon kind …

Kara Kaminski

Best choice we ever made for restaurant week! I don’t even like onions, but had to get the French onion soup dumplings. To. Die. For. The entrees we got were equally fantastic! Some places are just pricy and pretentious. This place is pricy and worth it.

Will Davidson

Steak Frites and French Onion dumplings were amazing!

Jordan Grashik

Food here was superb. It was a bit pricey but it was the first place I got to try bone marrow and it was delicious. I'd recommend this place for anyone wanting to go out for an upscale date or dining event.

Carla West

Birthday Celebration!

Pietro Montini

Wow! Great food.

BoxOfCrayons

Nice atmosphere and amazing food. Oysters were amazing for the appetizer. Service was good as well as their drinks. Good place to take a date to.

Jeffrey Berg

I recommend the French onion dumplings and filet, but the bread was just okay. The new maple salmon is excellent. They push the wine pretty hard because it's very expensive, but they have good cocktails and beer too. We had a very good time here.

Kathleen Zeiler

Had a great dinner with friends food was wonderful service was great!

Andrew Kade

Bistro 82s wait staff is amazing and attentive, the food is a delight for the eyes and your palette. Portions are not gratuitous, but they are filling and you leave feeling satisfied.

BoxOfCrayons

Nice atmosphere and amazing food. Oysters were amazing for the appetizer. Service was good as well as their drinks. Good place to take a date to.

Kirsten Vollmar

Good fine dining option in R.O. one of the best local places I've found oysters as well.

Rebecca Wang

Absolutely delicious. Service was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. A bit pricey but for the food quality and taste, I’ll be back!

Mark Owens

Service was fantastic. Came in for appetizers at the bar and a few drinks. Shout out to Matt. Thanks again

tonja hamilton

$90 bucks for shrimp appetizer...no thanks..walked out.

Todd Owens

was taken here for my birthday I wish the waiter was included with my dinner! wasn't even our waiter but he was fine! food was good a little on the pricey side but it was good.

Richard Payton

We had a phenomenal meal. The French onion soup dumplings were quirky and delicious, and the fillet mignon were cooked to glorious perfection. The zip sauce was just right, and ther duchess potatoes were the perfect companion to the entree. Our server Rachel was charming, funny and attentive. I could not have been more impressed with the food and the service. A perfect night out!

Anton Lewis

Excellent service and food! Great place for a date night. My wife and I love it!

Ryan McHale

The food was incredible, and had absolutely no issues with service. If you want a great night out, it's well worth the price. I highly suggest the ratatouille, the sauce was impeccable.

Angela Ponce

Great place, DJ Cisco is the best. I just wish it wasn't so hot in there.

Travis Haines

I go out to eat A LOT and this is hands down the best place I've ever experienced in the oakland county area!

Mike Kelly

Kellie was an awesome server and the food was fantastic. Hands down the best steak I've had in years!

Natasha Curran

Amazing food, excellent service, great atmosphere!

Christopher Rowse

Definitely on the pricey side, but the food was very good and the wait staff was attentive and friend.

Marisa Stutz

Sophisticated atmosphere and food. I love the seafood and the steaks. Great place for a date night.

Shelby Masen

Amazing food and wine- will definitely be going back!

Jeffrey Berg

I recommend the French onion dumplings and filet, but the bread was just okay. The new maple salmon is excellent. They push the wine pretty hard because it's very expensive, but they have good cocktails and beer too. We had a very good time here.

Hiroshi Fukada

We went here for a Valentine's day date. The atmosphere is great, and the food was absolutely delicious. When we arrived my wife was given a rose, which was a very nice touch. One thing to note is that one should not expect large portions. Ordering different items as a course is most definitely the way the maximize satisfaction

Brittany Parker

Love the French Onion Soup Dumplings! Go for happy hour if you don't want to spend your whole paycheck. Make sure you ask to sit in the bar area or they won't serve you happy hour

Lindsey Peters

Delicious food and great service. They do not have Happy Hour during the weekend despite what the website says.

Cate Pelley

So good! Had the French onion dumplings and the cobia. Highly recommend. The staff is warm and helpful.

Xavier Stinson

Great food! Excellent service!

Mark Warfield

Great staff, can't wait to try dinner menu

John Schmid

Exceptional meal and more than good service more like caring servers.

ty hogan

Good food and a club upstairs. Good for a night out

Preston Abadie

The best place to eat in Royal Oak - hands down.

ch3743

Great sophisticated atmosphere and absolutely yummy food! If you haven't tried it, you're missing a great dining experience!

Cocoa Washington

Bistro 82 was a pleasant surprise. My husband and I frequent downtown Royal Oak and thought and we'd stop in and try it out. We arrived for Happy Hour and weren't disappointed. We had the French onion soup dumplings, beef sliders, and Bistro Chopped salad. The dumplings were absolutely delicious!! So were the sliders and salad. We followed up the course with an apple crisp for dessert....OMG!!! Superb. And to top it off, we had the best server....Aja! She was very kind and patient. It's resturant week! Pull up!

Kathleen Zeiler

Had a great dinner with friends food was wonderful service was great!

Gayle Arnold

Wonderful place to eat or just enjoy a drink with friends.

Suzanne Costa

Excellent service, excellent food

Peter London

Really good. I won't say anything bad because it is a large place accommodating large groups well. But at the price point, the menu could be better and more inventive. If you have more than 4 people, everyone will find a compromise here.

Felipe Bernardo Reis de Sa

Nice place and good food but overpriced

Joshua Joshua

Came here for a nice dinner before a show at the Royal Oak Music Theater. Plentiful parking on the street, valet and structure. Promptly seated and greeted. Drink and food selection was good. Service was a little slow but nothing to complain about. Food was good. Steak frites, chicken and bistro burger were good. Foie gras was okay. Beef tartare was great. Portions were perfect. I would definitely come back if in the area!

Zee A

Didn’t like the food or the experience

Jill D.

The food here never disappoints. I usually go for the evening special. This picture was tonight's special: roasted duck. It was fabulous. I recommend the french onion soup dumplings on the regular menu.

Cheyenne Snoderly

My boyfriend and I celebrated our five year anniversary here last night and I could not have been more pleased. We are from Grand Rapids and we were in royal oak for the weekend so my love surprised me with a fantastic dinner. As a professional chef myself I find myself going to many restaurants where the food is not up to par with the price point and bistro 82 is certainly not the case. The food was fantastic and our server David was honestly the best server I’ve ever had in my life. He was kind and attentive without feeling pushy, he even went as far to let us know about a few large parties that were coming in so we could get in our order before theirs if we wanted to do so. We made a mention about going to the Detroit zoo and he went above and beyond and grabbed another employee Aysa who also works at the zoo to let us know about the exciting things they had planned for the day! It was overall an amazing experience, the food was wonderful and the service really hit it out of the park. Absolutely wonderful job bistro 82! All we have is high praise for you

Dan Stein

Amazing food and experience. Pricey but worth it! Took a friend here for dinner and absolutely no regrets. No sign so it's a bit hard to spot from the street. Give it a try, you'll be glad you did. Definitely recommend reservations on the weekend.
