Here you will see all the reviews of people like you who used the services of Zoe\'s (Restaurant) near to the state of Massachusetts.
At present the business gets a score of 4.4 out of 5 and that score has been calculated on 225 reviews.
As you can see it reaches an feddbacks average is very high, and it's founded on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the score is quite accurate. If people have bothered to rate when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to put feddbacks when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant belongs to the category of Chinese restaurant.
I get takeout from here often and the portions are very generous. Good quality food. Highly recommend you order the dumplings!!!
Awesome service and good taste!!
The food was good. This review is based on a bit of a less than good, but not quite bad experience. It seemed like they forgot about our order or one of our orders because we had to wait nearly 45 minutes for our food, only to see others sit down, order, and get their food. Once we did get the food, it wasn't hot enough. If this situation had not occurred, I would have given them 5 stars.
Though we waited for a long time, food is good there
Some of the best Chinese food you can find.
Dry fried thin sliced beef is the best. Pretty spicy though.
Once located across the street at the location of an old favorite Chinese restaurant, Chang Feng, it made that place's patrons very, very happy when it replaced the bad restaurant that had next filled in that spot. It has a menu that ranges from Szechuan mainstays to regional Chinese stuff even I won't try (say, tripe!), but all their specials that I do eat are genuinely special, And my favorite is the "strange/mysterious flavor chicken" that they've long ago taken off the menu but will make for me whenever I show up & ask for it, providing I'm asking the people who know what I mean; I've had it written out in Chinese for those who don't know, just in case. (Hey, maybe by writing this review I can bring back the Strange Flavor Chicken!)
Used to be our favourite place for Chinese takeout. The last 2 times the oil and salt levels were so high, we just couldn’t eat it. Especially disappointing given they’ve always had the best sautéed green vegetables and a delightfully spicy ma po tofu. The hot & sour soup was gummy with thickeners. The ravioli (a favourite of my daughter’s) had a thick and pasty dough tasting of nothing but flour and oil and a filling full of gristle. So disappointed.
They gave me the wrong version of Kong Pao chicken... Food was okay
One of my favorite restaurants in Cambridge/Somerville
Get the mala fish!
First, I should note that I'm vegetarian. Didn't like the vegetarian dishes so much. They are probably better with the rest of the menu. The service was excellent, though.
For an American Chinese food it's decent and the luncheon is cheap and good ! Great quick bite place on the cheaper end.
Absolute fantastic "authentic" Chinese food. I give this place my absolute highest rating.
Go-to Chinese spot in the area
One of the better Chinese food places in the area. Fairly small inside so somewhat limited seating.
Dumplings were really nice. Everything else was extremely salty.
Good food, good service, but a bit salty. 4.5 Stars
Best Chinese food in the greater Boston area that I've had since moving here over 10 years ago.
Everything here’s awesome.
Had a couple dishes that we shared, they were all good.
A great Chinese restaurant with special lunch during weekday
This has become our go-to neighborhood Chinese restaurant, and it's fantastic all around, whether you want to stick with the familiar Chinese-American dishes (they make a killer General Gao's) or venture into more authentic territory. A full page of the menu is devoted to Sichuan dishes, and another page is devoted to Hunan. From a whole fish soaking in a huge bowl of chili peppers to spicy frog legs to juicy soup dumplings, there's something for everyone. Service is very friendly as well, and the ambiance is definitely comfortable enough to dine in, even though most people seem to get delivery or takeout. I always overeat and feel awful when leaving here, but it's a good awful.

Great food! A perfect save for unplanned dinner nights!
Authentic chinese food , great neighborhood restaurant what i
All great food and service
Excellent Chinese food at reasonable prices. 5 stars!
Authentic Hunan dishes. Great service
Good spicy food, featuring Sichuan and Hunan cuisine but also has plenty other choices. Special callout on their lamb dishes, homemade black beans, and we'll fries egg rolls. Many options in different sauces to offer a variety on the table. Ma Po Tofu disappointed.
Good quality chinese food. Good Service. Try the strawberry chicken.
Wonderful authentic Chinese cuisine. Everything very special.
5 stars for the great memories --- I have had a lot of dinners with friends here. The wait staff is really, really nice, and the food is definitely above-average for the area's chinese options. I recommend the double-boiled fish and garlic chicken, as well as a stir-fry with eggplant in it.
Best Chinese this side of the Charles !
a remnant of the diner experience, with a short list of greek favorites from the management change a few years ago. a very reliable, and very busy on weekend mornings, place. edge of the square, good location for the new art theatre, but, naturally, parking ain't easy.
Bargain lunch specials on weekdays. The egg plant with garlic sauce (get it extra spicy) is great.
Delicious food. Cannot go wrong here.
Best Chinese food in the area, and reasonably priced. The tea is great, too. But the staff and their family members can be a little snotty.
Tasty fast friendly service
They have Chinese Okra with Bamboo Mushroom cooked the way my mom did.
Best chinese is Somerville area
I love this place! Great food, cheap prices.
I love the Sichuan food here. Try the Dry Hot Chilli Chicken. The owner is very friendly and helps you out with choices too. Must go here if you like spicy food.
I have been coming to this restaurant for 10 years and it never fails. This is the best Chinese authentic food you can get in Greater Boston, hands down. They actually deserve a 6 star review because they are just one step above everyone else.
Food is super good!
Excellent food. The duck was a hint smoky but the shrimp was superb.
Every single dish is amazing
Very good Northern Chinese food place. Gem on the edge of Somerville.

One of my favorite local restaurants.
Best Chinese takeout in Somerville/Cambridge as far as I'm concerned. The usual suspects are delicious and there are many more adventurous options as well.
I order delivery from this restaurant weekly. They never disappoint me.
The cumin lamb is tasty here!
Zoe's has a wonderful lunch menu, with an array of delicious entrees, soups, appetizers. Everything is wonderful at Zoe's and the lunch specials are very reasonably priced. I recommend Zoe's to anyone who is looking for a tasty and satisfying Chinese meal.
Best Chinese near the law school.
The worst place for chinese food. Not only the food was salty, but also the service here is utterly awful! I found a fly in my water! Geez, I would never come back to this place!
Take out is great. I get general gaus and it is good.
(Translated by Google) Point 4 completely different dishes. It is a full practice. Ants on the tree actually is soup! Kidney actually a little hot soup. . . (Original) 点了4个完全不同的菜。全是一个做法。蚂蚁上树居然是汤!火爆腰花居然也有点汤。。。
Wonderful food, and great service, plus the portions were very generous.
if you read the negative posts you will find that the reviewers are rating a completely different restaurant.
Typical Chinese restaurant — Hunan flavor Close to Star Market 老板娘人很好
Really delicious food. I ordered low mein and dumplings. The low mein and it's vegetables were very fresh.
Great food. Very extensive menu. Friendly staff. They serve tea with every order. Pricing is also good for the quality of the food. Will definitely be recorded to others.
I've been going here for years and Zoe's is hands-down my favorite Chinese food in Boston. I moved out of town 5 years ago but every time I visit Boston, Zoe's is on the itinerary. Their mapo tofu is amazing and I also love their beef with hot pepper (not for the faint of heart!).
Love it. There’s plenty of stuff for vegetarians. Try the salt and pepper tofu.
I have lived in China, and I can say that this is the most authentic Chinese I've had in the immediate area. Their Sichuan dishes in particular are spectacular. They've also been willing to do the family style seating and pricing we often did while in China. Basically you get a group, and negotiate a price per person and some of the must-have dishes, and then they just start bringing things to the table, and everyone just eats till they are full. Whenever I go I make sure to let them know that we'd like some of the more traditional Chinese dishes, and that spicy is great, and they've always done a fantastic job.
Best Chinese restaurant in Potter square, nay, best in Harvard sq. to Davis sq., I say. Food is delicious and authentic. Service is friendly and efficient. 5% off bill if you pay cash.
One of my favorite places in the world for dry dice Chicken!
Great place!
The size of the plates is not big but the taste is definitely very good. In one of my three visits here, they forgot one of my orders. I requested to cancel it but they declined.
Oh Zoe's... it was simpler times when I used to come here and enjoy your northern fried delights. I hope I get to return some day.
Consistently delicious with great service
Great food, quick service, low prices.
Only ate here once. It was fine. Dumplings were standard American, not what we were hoping for given the very good dumplings we can now find in the area. Wife's General Tsao was below average for quality of meat and sweetness. My mooshi pork was OK, flavor good, meat quality not great, and pancakes too thick. Nice people, other food might be better, but not going to rush back.
Great food!
Freindly staff!
Typical chinese food!
Moved to Cambridge this summer for an internship. Already took food to go 3 times or more. The food there is very authentic Chinese food! If you like authentic Chinese food, I suggest you try this. The price is good too.
One of the best Chinese food
Great Chinese cusine, and making order with app is convenient.
Great food
Very nice and authentic. As a Cantonese I give five stars
The Sichuan food that Zoe's serves is a cut above most of the Chinese restaurants in the area, their more Americanized dishes are average. It's not as good as some of the other Sichuan places in the area, such as New Shanghai in Chinatown, but if you're in the area, it's always a solid option. The dry fried sichuan beef, a favorite of mine, is pleasingly chewy, but the percentage of beef(40%) to dried chilis (60%), though it makes for a delicious dish, needs to be reversed to justify calling it an entree portion. The pleasingly chewy twice cooked pork is a solid effort, as are the sichuan noodle soups. The cold appetizers, which tend to be larger portions than most Sichuan places, are a particular high point on the menu. The typical mall-stall type dishes are merely average, so if you're looking for solid renditions of more Americanized dishes, you're much better off heading to Mary Chung's in Central Square. The delivery is usually lightning fast.
Authentic Chinese food, always delicious. Ask for less salt, it'll be perfect

Dry fried whole fish and salt and pepper squid are incredible. This is a go to for people seeking a chance from the notoriously bad chinese food in the somerville/cambridge area.
Nice food. Not expensive. A little too spicy.
Great food, quickly prepared for take-out.
Don't bother with China Town. This is the place to go if you want great Chinese food and good friendly service. You know it must be good when 80% of the customers inside are Chinese. If your vegetarian you're in luck because every tofu and veggies only dish I've had here was delicious. Their soups are rich in flavor and the best thing on a cold snowy day.
It is indeed gourmet chinese food. Everything we ordered (6 dishes) was delicious and plentiful. There is a 5% discount if you pay with cash.
Great full flavored Sichuan and Hunan. They are not afraid of spice, if you like it hot say so and be pleased. My favorites: Ma la fish fillets, Hunan pork, chongqing chicken, soup dumplings, cilantro scallion salad, dan dan noodles
good lunch spot. some of the stuff is super super spicy.
Couldn't get our order right. They didn't even bring out the fifth dish we ordered. Food tasted relatively bland. Was disappointed that the fish dish we ordered had so many chili peppers, not enough fish.
Great food and reasonable priced
Some of the people in my group really liked their food, but I found it only adequate. The person who raved about their food is the person who likes spicy food, so perhaps Zoe's does better with that style of food.
I was surprised by how authentic the food was. Everything tasted so good! The portion was not bad either. I definitely enjoyed their customer service. The owner was super super extra nice, but this other girl at the front gave me attitudes from time to time.
Great food and some special dishes. Check it out.
We've been customers for decades...last visit was below mediocre
The server said TWICE that the tips are not included when she gave me my bill. I can't believe it!!! It's super rude and unprofessional. Will never go again!
This authentic Chinese restaurant is definitely several levels above similar neighborhood Chinese cuisine. The menu is diverse with typical american classics (pass on those) as well as a plethora of spicy authentic dishes (check out the sichuan page). They have homemade dumplings, but the soup dumplings I had were a bit inconsistent with a lack of soup and some overcooked meat. I'll definitely go back for the main dishes (sliced pork w/ eggplant, beef with cabbage in chili oil), but stick to Chinatown for upper tier dim sum.
Good food and variety. Found the price on a steeper side.
Quiet and comfortable location... Fast service... Recommend the spicy fish
Was okay, not as flavorful as Mulan. 油条 was pretty hard actually.
Pricy for the portion. Food is oily and taste is mediocre. Don't order fish with pepper and cilantro, fried to super dry then soak in oil. Baby bok chou was just cheap Shanghai bok choy.
It is a fine Chinese restaurant, but I prefer Chongsho nearby. Zoe's just does not have anything that would make it stand out, and does not have any particular lunch combos to look for, although it is alright.
Great place to have Chinese food if you would like.
Excellent food. My favorite in the Somerville area.
Very authentic Chinese food. Not expensive. A little too much salt thou.
Great lunch offers!
Not the best needs improvement chicken was very dry and over cooked
A good variety of tasty Chinese dishes at reasonable price; quick and friendly service. Some dishes are oily though.
Been my favorite place my whole life!! I love it so much! Its delicious and theres always great service!
You're in Petsi Pies territory, so here's a great chance to eat healthy Sechuan/Hunan/and other Chinese food carefully and expertly prepared before guiltlessly having your gourmet dessert across the street. Our lunch of chicken and broccoli, eggplant in garlic sauce, fried rice, crab rangoon, egg drop soup, wanton soup, and spring roll, came to $14 for delicious eating. Spiffy surroundings with very pleasant hospitality.
