REVIEWS OF Welcome India IN Massachusetts

Gregory Granato

Great food, not a fancy atmosphere. I wouldn't bring a new girlfriend on first date, or older wife if you're trying to get romantic, but comfortable place for a comfortable date or food with friends.

Becky Pulito

My favorite Indian food restaurant! I go out of my way to come here. My kids love it, too. Only place where I love the raita. Samosas are great, too. I try a different entree every time and have enjoyed every single one. Speedy service, too.

Matt H

I'm addicted to indian food, particularly chicken tikka masala but also chicken korma, chicken vindaloo and vegetable samosas, etc. I've tried several indian restaurants in the area and will say this place is the best for takeout. It's not a five-star fine dining experience atmosphere if you were to stay to eat, but it beats the five-star restaurants (in my opinion) on taste and quality of food. They are also fast, affordable and the crew is extremely friendly, often recognizing my voice on the phone and throwing in a free nan bread with my orders (I think because I order so frequently). This is my local go-to indian spot.

Rachel Sweet

This was the best Indian food we've had in a restaurant in years! What a welcome surprise! The food was phenomenal and the service was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We can't wait to return!

Mike Linnetz

Outstanding lunch buffet

Ramy G

Delicious food. Presentation of food is great. Best times to visit are in the evenings. A little dingy place but it is very peaceful and the service is great. Dishes can be ordered as Mild/Medium/Spicy for the sensitive tongues. This is one of the few restaurants that offers beef dishes. Bar menu is available for drinks. Fine place to spend the evening.

Donna Crutchfield

Delicious!!

So bad

Marc Orenberg

John Tocci

The service was friendly, but the food was so bland. I've had better Indian in Sudbury and Woburn. Had high hopes based on previous reviews, but was really disappointed. The restaurant also needs a renovation, and the road noise was distracting.

Christopher Valarezo

Great and delicious food. Buffet had a limited selection, but all food in buffet was yummy.

Paul Mazziotti

Great lunch buffet, not a lot of variety, but what they do have is good. Usually not too busy and can get a seat right away.

Aakash Desai

Good non veg and vegetarian food. Dal is especially good. Small, non noticeable place but great Indian flavors. We've been there a couple of times and not been disappointed.

Sam S

pakodas chutney poori are good. paneer dishes are okay. lamb roganjosh was aweful. they made it like chutney. it was sweet and lamb was hard.

Nofar Azaria

Great food. Will come again for sure

Larry Swanson

Excellent place if you like Indian food. Plenty to eat, great prices, very friendly staff. Would recommend everybody trying it.

Neelima Anne

After seeing reviews we went to this restaurant on our special day..the first and last worst experience ever..food didn't taste good..my daughter and husband had nausea after eating there..well last but not the least as per the name we didn't get a proper welcome even with a smile..there is only one person serving in our time and he threw the bread on the table..even when paying the bill he didn't look our faces..disgusting experience ever ..I wouldn't recommend this restaurant..

Amar Bedi

surprised to see few 5 stars here...not recommended at all. Food was full of sodium, chicken wasn't fresh, rice pulao was cold, gulab jamun were hard except mushroom, paneer and naan everything else was horrible. Also, beware he will quietly bill you additional 30% 'buffet waste penalty' if you didn't like any curry and leave non-empty curry bowls on the table.

Gagan Singh

I have been going there from last 15 years Always great good

Phil Hill

Great food, good service

Timo thy

Very nice.

Jon Dankworth

I travel for work and have Indian food throughout the States. This may be one of the best I've ever had. The food was as awesome as the service! Very good job!. I know I will certainly return whenever I am back in the area.

Allison Bergstrom

Fabulous food at a reasonable price in an unassuming package. Don't let the modest exterior scare you off, this is the best Indian food in Massachusetts in a surprisingly cute dining room. All the dishes are perfectly balanced and delicious and you are never disappointed in the dish you order. Try the Dal Makhni, they'll blow your mind.

Anna O

Delicious, rich food, friendly service, good prices. 10/10 would recommend.

Dhruva Kothari

Fresh, inexpensive buffet. Quiet restaurant. Friendly wait staff. The gulab jamuns at the end were not good, but the aloo naan is very good.

Varsha Kaundinya

Never had such bad food in my life. Food was not fresh, looked like a stale food. Waste of money and time.

John Pompeii

Absolutely amazing food. So worth it!

Prakash N

One of the best Indian restaurants on route. 9 in Framingham.

Vania Diaz

I had the lamb vindaloo, chicken masala, garlic naan bread and the vegetable samosas. It was all very delicious and the service was fantastic.

This place looks like a diner but a gem on the inside. Good quality food and friendly service. Portions are large for sharing and they will make it spicy

Alina Nguon

Cozy

Lauren Wainwright

Great vegetarian options! Tons of flavor!

Mitali Gore

Really one of the worst Indian places I've eaten at. Don't eat at this place if you value your taste buds.

Saph things

I ordered from Grubhub, and about 25 minutes later someone called me from the restaurant to say that my meal should not include A rice dish and that GrubHub was wrong. He then said am I switching the dish or cancelling? I said to cancel it then and he told me good luck calling grubhub and hung up. Very unprofessional.

Anirban Bose

In buffet the number of item is less compared to other Indian restaurant. The food was fine. Less spicy. North Indian flavour. The starters are very less.

Ajay Singh

This restaurant is not for you if you are from India or like spicy foods. We went on the weeknd for lunch buffet and all their food taste sweet like sugar. Their food does not taste Indian at all. Secondly, i didn't like the waiter there who was also at the register. He had some kind of attitude. It was not pleasant experience at all.

Neal Howland

Very unassuming lovely little spot for lunch or dinner. I visited recently for lunch and prices were very fair for lunch buffet. I had been here once before for dinner so we came back. Food is excellent.

Laurie Alford

Friendly service, no bad choices on the menu. They will customize to your level of heat.

Sparsh Varsani

This place total waste of time and money if you are vegetarian. Food was bland and cold. The manager didn't show any interest when complained.

Place is amazingly delicious. Very small but the staff has always been very polite and the food is outstanding. Best Indian food in the area.

Jason Harding

the water here is amazing. perfect temperature, served in a nice glass, and most of all, tastes like water should taste, providing a wonderful contrast from the flavorful food

eddy Who

Love the food here! Kheer is excellent. Great service too.

Kyndra Lutz

Food was awesome. The outside isn't so pleasing but indoors is a quiet atmosphere and the food was really good. The guy who works in there is super attentive to customers. Their naan is cooked perfect IMO

Aditya Patel

food is trash

Kristen Carella

This is a small, friendly location. The staff are nice. Quiet and relaxing. I prefer this Indian restaurant to the others nearby.

Fantastic vegetarian korma, which I haven't found anywhere else. Highly recommend it!

Phillip Wall

Love this place, fast service, great food!

David Lamb

Decent price, tasty Indian food.

Raghunath reddy Guduri

Good food and customer service. Nic place for a usual dine out

Alisha Schutrick

I love Welcome India so much that I usually make unnecessary trips to the mall so I can make a day of it. The staff is always polite, and accommodating. The food is nothing short of amazing. The 45 minute drive is worth it.

sainath satya

tina claxton

Great food love this place little bit small inside but very nice people and great food.

Lawrence McSwiggan

Pat Lynch

So good. Authentic with a nice menu. Eat in or take out.

Jill Stewart

Last year, after a Hard working day at Adesa, we all stop here and I was rescued by the drink that was made for me. My Nadicular structure was ajarred and they brought it back. The other day, I was fixed again with a lassie and a drink. This is a safe place to go for medicine.

Jacqueline Balaga

Not too many options in the buffet, but really can't beat the buffet price! I didn't look at the menu, so can't speak to the menu options. Welcome India is a great family place, no one seemed bothered by my loud kids. Also a great place for a quick bite to eat. We stumbled upon it while sitting in traffic, and so glad we did!

Clarence Mcgregor

Very good food

Michelle Klieger

Excellent food. Great value. Friendly staff.

John Corbett

Delicious food, clean interior and friendly staff. Don't be fooled by the somewhat dilapidated exterior.

Heather Maguire

Matt DuBois

Kristen Schafer

Recommend the seafood! Service was friendly and fast. Can’t wait to try more stuff.

Shujuan Liu

This is a wonderful place. The food is so good and the price is very reasonable.

Rachel Morrison

Their chicken Korma is to die for. This place is very good and reasonably priced!

Michael Zhang

Expect authentic and delicious plates at reasonable prices here. I have become a Welcome India regular after having their great food for the first time months ago. I realize that Indian food may not be for everyone. But if you're curious or interested, give this place a try. I recommend the non-veg platter to sample all the kinds of meats they offer.

Kajol Advani

Worst food ever . The manager is a rude guy , he served cold food and did not care to change even when requested. Waste of money and Time I would never recommend this place to anyone Wish I could rate something lower than 1 star

Royston Quintyn

Sid Hackney

Wonderful food, good prices, large portions. We went on a Sunday evening and it was nice and quiet, and the waiter gave us two complementary vegetable samosas. Two of my friends ordered the "non-vegetarian for two" for ~$30 and it was an absolutely enormous amount of food. Also you get 5% off lunch and 10% of dinner if you use cash. Awesome place.

Jürgen Lobert

I have been going to Welcome India for more than 10 years and the food is consistently very good in the evenings. What is rare is the *very* friendly service that you always get, as well as quick serving. I love their Chicken Ticka Massala and their dosas are awesome. The place doesn't look much, more like a traditional diner (which it probably was in the past), but the outside is deceiving, definitely give it a try, it is a gem. Better food than the flashier places across the street.

Ferrero Rocher

One of the top 3 worst indian restaurants I’ve been to. This place is not for those who know how indian food tastes like. I went for a buffet on weekend, the only rice item was “plain white rice”

brad mckinnon

Stopped for some veg simosas they were grate, I will try more when I'm back in the area.

tsvi yaganti

Ananas Ananas

Delicious food, warm and welcoming atmosphere, what's not to love? The food isn't too pricey and it's great quality. I've been here several times over the years and it's a treat every time. Highly recommend!

mai yang

Delish! Service was great. Will go back! :)

Nathan Kingsbury

Buffet is always tasty and surpasses it's price. When I went it was just over 10 bucks for two full plates! But, it's full menu is just as great. Don't skip this place for some place flashier.

shobhit sharma

Worst food I ever tasted and it was stale , management was not at all considerate. Never recommend to anyone ever.

Natalya Bertyuyeva

Great place for take out. Only thing is that food is on mild side of spiciness (mild is actually sweet, medium is faint kick and spicy is mild), but quility and flavor are there

Sourabh Sharma

Food was worst.Everything in buffet was bitter in taste.Customer service was also horrible...

sindhu s.m

Authentic Indian taste...treat to your taste buds!

Angela Doughty

Great lunch buffet! The food is always fresh and delicious

Ramkumar RANGANATHAN

Food is good here and ok price but the customer service is not great. I have been here like 2 or 3 times and its same. If you go by 9:30 pm they will not serve (10 pm closing time) but can get a to-go.

Chip Stata

Went for the lunch buffet. Perfectly acceptable food and service. Nothing special. Reasonable price but I would like to see other, more creative options presented.

Kec Wong

Very good food, not spicy, very good services, and reasonable price

jposco

Food is delicious! I've only ever ordered delivering or carryout, but food is excellent and correct every time!!

Raghu Saranathan

Hidden gem in Framingham. Although the menu consists of the "touristy" Indian food, the food quality and service are excellent. The staff is also very cordial and respectful. They serve wine and beer but not other cocktails. Plenty of veggie options. The breads are made fresh and that makes a whole good of difference.

Abdullah-Al Kafi

Generally, I don't write review. But today Welcome India's food motivates me to write this awesome review. Today I have ordered beef biryani which is the worst biryani I have ever tasted in USA. Meats in the biryani wasn't well cooked. According to price the amount of the biryani was small. Finally, taste was horrible. My worst cooked biryani is better than this one. I haven't tried other item So I don't want to comment on that. Obviously, I am not going there again. Sorry Welcome India!!!

Andrew Ferland

Ahmed Jama

I found HAIR in my rice, TWICE. Very bad service. Overpriced. NOT GOING BACK, EVER!

Jessica Grant

Don't let the exterior fool you! My husband and I have been going to Punjabi Grill and Minerva for a long time which both have good food but the service is always lacking (or nonexistent!). We decided to give Welcome India a try and were really impressed with our meals and the service. Aside from the dark dingy diner atmosphere, we were surprised that we liked this better than Minerva and Punjabi Grill. We ordered the Tandoori Chicken Daalwala and the Chicken Saagwala along with Mulligatawny Soup, all of which were excellent.

Fred Winslow

Great food. Not expensive. Great service. Clean.

Tyler Davis

Very good chana masala, the buffet was reasonably priced, and the staff were super friendly

Matthew Harder

The three of us had dinner at Welcome India, looking for tasty, spicy food and we were not disappointed. The service is friendly and fast. We are going back soon.

Aditya Hegde

Ordered Chicken korma, turned out to be really good.

Aritra Sur

Great food.

Kartike Bhagat

Re - ordered from this place 2 times, and I've been blown away. Each gravy was unique, flavorful, delicious, and perfectly cooked. I ordered dishes hot, and the spice level was perfect for me. Their naans are not the best/fluffiest, but I didn't feel like taking star off - the main dishes were worth more than 5 - - - - old review below - - - - Good food in general, would give it 5 stars if they had fresh naan at the buffet. The buffet also has limited options compared to other buffets. That said, I think it's worth the price and I'd go there again.

Einar Horn

While I will admit that this place does not look impressive from the outside, the food itself is wonderful. We came here for dinner on a Friday, and I ordered the $20 dinner combo. I usually eat a lot, but this was more than enough for two meals!

Prasad Gollapalli

Taste is good. Biryani was little pasty. Enjoyed being here

Paula Gregorich

Always excellent

Jason Bourne

Good food but you need to put more meat in your entres. I had to order two main courses and I weigh 140lb, no fat.

Madeline Newhall-Thayer

The quality of food is amazing and very authentic! The service is wonderful and kind, and the prices are perfect.

Chandra Kengatte

Ordered vegetable biriyani taste is just ok.

Derek Carver

Incredible food and service!

Vishal Agarwal

This restaurant used to be good, but last time we went there fool was awfully bad.

Zachi Klopman

We had a lunch buffet. Three different types of chicken, a few sides, two different rice, soup and more. All was delicious and only $10 per person (+tax)

Ethan Mullin

Great food, affordable price, only complaint is the small buffet. Other than that, I will probably eat there again

Matthew Henderson

rohit

One of the better Indian restaurants I've been to. No frills, very authentic food, great service. Definitely recommended.

Amanda Lambert

Best Indian place we have found in our travels. Both take out and buffet are worth it!

Jena Kitteninstrings

Stopped in for lunch buffet yesterday. Food was delicious smelled as much before we got in there. The service was great. My water never got less than half full. And they made sure to let us know before they cleared the buffet if we wanted anything else. ^__^

Scott P

Love this place. Best Indian food in metro West!

Harish Rao

Mahendra Giri

Oh my god..horrible restaurant ever..not a single item is fresh in the buffet..we were very disappointed with the service..he didn't even look at our faces..he is just throwing food on the table..even street food is more delicious even though we know its not fresh as they serve us with a smile..this man Dont know the name..the disgusting server ever..I wonder why the name is like that..when they do not welcome..never ever try it out guys..there are several options around..forgot to mention our stomachs are upset with the food..

Rimma Oleinik

Love the food. The interior is not fancy, although I'm there to have very good food.

Ernesto Elias Rush MIV

emperror rakeesh

Food was horrible...No desserts..... No varieties at all ...Both Veg and Non Veg dishes were badly cooked...Please avoid this restaurant...Its a waste of time and money

Jeffrey Gordon

Mike Legenthal

The saag paneer was the best I've ever had, and my husband raved about how good the lamb korma was. Just delicious!

K Nirmel

This restaurant gives Indian cuisine a bad taste! Food needs to be warm and fresh with vegetarian choices. Service is poor. Not recommended

Michelle Clardy

It's a hole in the wall that's authentic. We were the only white people in there, that tells me it's good food. The gentleman that waited on us was very nice. I would definitely come here again

Brent Godfrey

The best Indian restaurant that I know of in the region. It looks like a total hole-in-the-wall, especially on the outside. Try it and you will agree that the food is excellent. It is family run and the staff is friendly.

Artur Bacu

Excellent food and service, every time we order take out or dine in. My wife loves the eggplant which is delicious and I love their sag paneer. Our favorite Indian restaurant!

Tortimeese C.

We love getting takeout from Welcome India. Everything is fresh and tasty. You can have the food cooked to order and the spice level adjusted as needed. We love the Vegetable Nahvrani Korma with raita. The pakoras and samosa are great too. We haven't had a bad meal once!

James Cart

Great food! Very attentive service

Shyam Panthi

John B

Great food and great people.

Suhag Jewelers

Very Gud food .. came with Taj toor

Brian Duke

Tim Borman

It's all about the food here, and the food is excellent. Always well-stocked buffet with all the Indian favorites (yes, chicken tikka masala). The shabby exterior belies the quality of this restaurant.

Rob Turner

I avoid buffets. I went here for dinner and it was amazing.

Steve

Had a buffet lunch here. It was not bad, but was certainly underwhelming. Nothing special. The bread was burned. The dishes not spicy at all. Zero heat. The interior is dated with ripped apart cushion seats.

Harsh Panchal

Amazing taste

Geri Sullivan

Tasty, well-priced lunch buffet with friendly, welcoming service.
