Taste is not bad as a Chinese speaking. The service is horrible! Several groups were waiting for almost an hour at door, and when we were finally brought to the inner dinning area, we found at least 4 clean tables were available. (larger table for 8, but all groups waiting were at least 5 people!) Waiters were in cold mood and not responsive. Do they ever know that they earn tips by at least a proper service???

Got takeouts for two days, I tried around twenty dishes: double lobsters delicious and not expensive. I like duck soup and fried beef. And the restaurant has plenty of vegetable options, surprise. I did not try their spicy food. The restaurant is not that big, the service is friendly. The road in front of restaurant is under construction.

Service is not professional at all. This was my first visit. After eating my food and having a drink. I asked for pineapples or fortune cookies and was told by the manager to go to star market they have it. I will not ever give this restaurant the thought of ever going here again. I am Chinese and have happily eaten at plenty of dodgy looking places in Asia but this restaurant was too much for even me to handle. Honestly I enjoyed the food, dishes tasted authentic but will not be returning. The booth seats are very old and tired with giant cracks through them. We also had someone's discarded chicken wing bones under our table. The man serving us definitely looked like he could wash his hands more....Halfway through eating the chef came out of the kitchen with his shirt up and was rubbing his belly. That was the last straw for me. What a turn off. Never been so disgusted at a restaurant before.

The owner should have made himself clear that he demands a 15% tip for lunch meal before customer starting to order. It is very uncommon that a resturant chases customer to get more tips. Tips are for gratitude. Also, the way the owner asking for more tips was very rude. NEVER GO BACK!

Worst attitudes ever! I was told by the front desk person to go ahead to sit in. Then I chose a table to sit in. One waiter approached me and told me to sit at another table that was very close to a crowded and loud table. I said we need more space and preferred to sit at the current table. Then the waiter yelled at me, “you sit wherever I told you to sit!” I was totally shocked and became speechless out of anger! I complained the waiter but was dismissed by the owner. I know they don’t care about the customers’ opinion since they have got good business. But if you care about dignity not just taste of the food, don’t go there.

I discovered this place a few months ago and used it as take out place for probably a half-dozen times. I would be happy to continue but and there is a huuuge, gigantic but. Last time (two weeks ago or so) I got unexpected broccoli in beef over white rice dish. I hate broccoli. It can be a mishap and I forgot about. In today order I got shrimps with onion instead of garlic (yes...) and unknown to me green vegetable in duck on white rice. I don't believe that three times in a raw it can be accidental mistake. Information provided on website is simply incorrect.

I've been going here for years but I never wrote a review. Here goes... as everyone knows Victorias is known for their twin lobster which is good along with the salt pepper shrimp or chicken. However their service AlWAYS as been bad. If you're not Asian or don't know them they will ignore you. I shouldn't be use to it but I guess I got use to it. I know some of them by name. There are probably only 2 of them I like. My friend who does take out with the glasses. Sorry I know his name but can't think right now. And another gentleman who waits tables and he allowed me to call him "cousin Kevin". They didn't always add in the tip but someone needs to tell them to stop. Like 5 of them will bring out the food so who do you tip. From their dirty silverware to can in a soda... I just don't dine anymore. But I have to be honest. Despite me seeing a rat run across the floor and a dead roach before, I still continued to order. But I haven't been in awhile. If the health department hasn't shut them down then I will pray the kitchen and food is greatly prepared and clean as well as fresh. But again they are not PROFESSIONAL enough to DEMAND yes I said it demand a tip. I even had one of them come after me and my friends for his tip. Why?? He WAS NOT our original waiter AND he literally spent his time at the table next to us talking with an Asian family. This is America so please learn how business should be conducted EQUALLY.

One of my favorite restaurants! If you’re looking for authentic Chinese food, this is the place to go. Pan fried noodles, mayonnaise walnut shrimp, and salt and pepper pork chops are the best! I’m surprised by the negative reviews. I’m sure it’s from those who are fans of take out (Americanized) Chinese food which is very different from authentic Chinese food. This place is great!

If you are looking for authentic Cantonese food this would be the place to find it. The restaurant is frequently packed and I think I was the only non Chinese person there so I think they come for the flavor too. Food was awesome and lots of it. Speed of food delivery was a bit spotty but overall I had no complaints.

i went there a couple of times (with a group of people) the first time it was good, big portion and good price, the next day the waiting hrs were rediciolous and when i asked for more than 3 soja sauces the guy gave me an attitude even tough we spent a lot of money there never the less we went back bc it is open late night and we weres on a trip to boston the last time was the worst, we waited even longer, our dishes were getting smaller and smaller and on top of it: i had a shell of a clam in my food (on top of the fact that i am vegan!) Me and my family have been coming here for years, even for family gatherings we always end up eating here. The food is pretty good if you order actual side dishes to go with rice. If you are looking for decently priced Chinese food in this area, I would definitely recommend this place.

Really Really disappointed to this restaurant, my parents went to eat dinner tonight, we have 5 adults and 3 kids. We just order few foods than usual, we so often goes their to eat dinner. But tonight we order not much food because we didn't want waste the food and we didn't want those food to carry over for tomorrow. Just someone who work like a cashier man came to our table and sat why order such few foods like we sat a big table, and said something sounds like we are CHEAP person. Food here is pretty delicious! Made a reservation for 15+ on a Saturday evening at 7pm. Showed up to them having a huge wait, but I still had my two tables waiting for me with no issues. Some family members were also running a little late, but they did not give me any pressure to start ordering. The servers here are very patient, and Steven (the owner) was very accommodating to helping us decorate our area for my nieces graduation dinner. We had LOTS of leftovers, and the price we paid was very reasonable.. will definitely reconsider for take out or sit down.

Been coming here since I was a toddler. Food is pretty solid. Every time I come here with my family I always try to get the lobster with minced pork dish, that stuff is soooo good. My 2nd favorite dish that I just discovered recently is some kind of egg in tofu skin dish with mushroom, peas, and some random stuff idk. Also love me some beef lo mein with no vegetables. Not giving it 5 stars cause sometimes the utensils, plates, and cups arent clean (likely just thrown in a dish washer and not double checked) and I have to ask for new ones.

I come here for few years and used to give 3/5 for this place until I saw two rats running in and out of the kitchen with my bare eyes!! Apparently, some other reviewers from a year ago also mentioned rats, so it has been a problem for a long while. Where did that "A" for sanitary rating come from?!! I am totally going to report this. Food is mediocre. Service/owner are bad and rude. The place is super dated with all broken chairs and sticky tables.

This place is a no frills location but has all the classics of tasty dishes if you know what to get. If you ignore the drab decor (hasn't changed in decades I swear) then you can really discover reasons why this place is still up and running after all these years. My friends and I settled for 4 dishes including a small soup and they were all quite delicious with no complaints (see photos!). Fried rice with Chinese sausage and beef with black pepper are delicious choices and recommended together! Give it a try if you're in the area! Be warned that as of 8/2017 there's a ton of construction along Commonwealth Ave so be mindful of parking!

Horrible service, yet required 15% tip! These people don't deserve even a star! We were a party of 5 came in for dinner, when we were sitting down the lady there throwing down the menus on the table. Then when the guy brought out the food for us, he had the phone on one hand and the other hand setting down the foods, we asked for soy sauce, he can't hear us at all (still on the phone)... so we had to get up and get the soy sauce ourselves from the nearby table, of course we didn't have a separate plate for the soy sauce, so we had to pour them in our only plate. We weren't very please with the service, so when they brought out the bill of 46.00, we gave them 50.00 cash even (offered them 4.00 tip). The guy told us, we were 5.00 short of 15% tip! And he was rude enough to said it out loud embarrassing us, I took the 50.00 back and gave him exactly 46.00 as on the bill! He was even louder and dragging one more guy there into our table and demand for 15% tip! I told them tip is optional for party less than 8 (or whatever the number they specify and need to either posted in their menu or their restaurant so customers aware of it), so I asked them to show me their policy of requiring their customer to pay 15% tip. They just said there is no policy but every restaurant have that requirement, if we don't agree to pay tip, then just pick up the food and don't eat in their restaurant! I told them, yes customer can elect to pay the tip (at whatever rate they want) if they feel the server derserved it, but definitely not required! We are Vietnamese American by race, so these Chinese people intentionally picked on us for this requirement thinking they can get by with it! If you are Caucasian, and want to give them a try without paying the full 15% tip, I bet you they don't dare to touch you because they knew they can't get by with it for sure! There are alot of restaurants in the area and are certainly worthy trying out! Avoid these bullies that may find you are weaker and requiring you to pay them the 15% tip that they don't deserve!
