Used to have good service, not as much these days, ordered a dinner for pick up, they forgot one of the sides, called to let them know, had to drive all the way back just to get the size a portion size smaller than what you're supposed to receive. Very sad this happened but regularly have a good experience.

Words just can't explain the pleasure.....the fries were good, however the buns were stale, chicken was dry and the menu brought utter bewilderment to the mind. Would definitely skip this location and seriously question the taste buds of the other "impartial" reviews.

I have been coming here for years! The chicken is amazing. The prices are right and the meals are filling. If this was my first time here, I would have given them 3 stars due to the fact that sometimes people and businesses have "off nights" and this certainly was one of them. Definitely not a good representation of what your food is like 99% of the time. However I will be back and I know next time it will be better!

I always ordered their party tray of chicken legs for my BBQ's. But this this time I decided to eat inside, I got the rotisserie leg quarter. But someone forgot to tell them that you get more than just the leg. It was pretty said to see how much little meat was on it. My wife ordered the same and got that same little amount of meat. There was not thigh meat at all. Wouldn't order their again.

I was intrigued by their phantom gourmet approval sticker for their pot pie...but soon realized their food is on the plain side for my taste! I prefer flavorful dishes, but it just tasted "okay", nothing extraordinary. Not worth the phantom gourmet approval, but good if you don't feel like cooking.

The chicken was the tasteless chicken I've ever had. the ribs appeared to be boiled and then just seared and also tasteless. If I don't live in this town! The side of mac and cheese appeared to look yummy but it tasted pretty much like carpet. The cooked carrots we're terrible. do they not flavor anything in Massachusetts it appears to be a theme?

We have always loved Chicken Connection but the last time we went there it was not very good. The chicken thigh I got was very greasy with very little meat on it. The stuffing was very dry and the side were lukewarm. Very disappointing.

The Phantom Gourmet put it best in its review of the Chicken Connection: "if KFC and Popeye's had a baby, it would be this place." The food is not good, it's unbelievably delicious! The fried chicken is great, but so are the ribs, the pot pies, the sides... EVERYTHING! My whole family loves going here, which is another plus. The staff is friendly and courteous and the facility is clean and well-maintained with plenty of seating. There is also plenty of parking, though some of the spots are right up against the road, making it a challenge to back out of your spot when there is traffic. If you love comfort food, you have to go here TODAY!

Food usually real good but takes forever to get anything done around their cooks are extra slow took 25 minutes for a one piece chicken with fries and macaroni and watched 6 other people get there food befor me So I kindly ask for my money back and order a sub for Benedetti's Deli, Thank you guys for waisting my whole lunch break ! We had chicken strips honey mustard and buffalo flavored along with 2 sides each. I was told the strips were made to order. But they were cold and dry with not enough of either sauce. Even the sides that we got were cold. We will not be back to this location.

Foods ok. Mostly all hype. Service sinks. Way too expensive. Practically had to give my DNA to get them to give me my 1/2 pint of mash they forgot to put in the bag. Extremely stingy about the rolls. For the price they should just give you as many as you want. Forget about asking for extra gravy. They give you like a thimble full. I done with them.

Looking for amazing home made chicken pot pie?? This is the place to go! Always beyond pleasant when I go in to pick up my order. It makes me want to dine in just haven't done that yet! Small place but food is amazing! And I'm not even big on pot pies! My mentality on then was only in the winter because it was always a "I've gotta be in the mood and very cold" to crave it. This place makes me want it more often and I'm starting to suggest it rather than my husband!! That speaks VOLUMES!! Try this place out and you won't be disappointed!

Last night was our first time eating at the chicken connection. Everything has a fresh taste and I honestly believe they carefully prepared a healthy meal for my family. That freshness was rejected in the prices. They were just a little higher than I expected, but worth it. The restaurant was clean, and service was pretty quick. Since it was my first time I didn't realize we needed to get our own drinks and silverware, but the cashier pointed me in the right direction when I went back up to ask. My family really enjoyed the food and experience!

Very good chicken. Limited salad bar. Vegetables are decent, better than they used to be. Love the mashed potatoes and gravy. Also love their turnovers for dessert. Would be nice if had sugar free iced tea option bc I am Not a fan of coca cola products. Family Friendly atmosphere. Can eat on small outdoor deck.

If you gave this place less than 4 stars you’re the spawn of Satan himself or you just don’t know what quality for is for the price, it may even be that you were born with a rare disease in which you are unable to taste food and if that’s the case I apologize. I’m here on a work trip and figure I check out this local joint. Upon entering the establishment I quickly realized how clean it was, it’s got a great atmosphere, a small town feeling. We’re not here to talk about that though, this place could of been a dump but if the food is good and they have a high sanitation score then life is good, you don’t judge a book by it’s cover. I order the chicken combination with mac and cheese and green beans, since there was a lot of hype about this place I also helped myself to an order of ribs (many blessings to my company for providing me with great per diem). All I can say is wow!, every bite I took I sounded like the dude selling you a slap chop, it was delicious! The price.... I felt like I was robbing them. The quantity... I had so much left over I could of fed all the homeless people at the shelter and still would of had leftovers.

The Chicken Connection Haverhill has been my favorite go to place for Fried Chicken for several years, but the latest visits have been disappointments. The chicken is not what i fell in love with for. Did you change reciepie??? So Bland . I plan on trying the Plasitow store hoping for the meal I remember .

Not a fan of the fried chicken (bone-in) here, I find the coating thin & tasteless. Chicken was terribly dry, even the drum & thigh. The side dishes were a train wreck: mushy stuffing with huge chunks of celery & again tasteless (a theme). Cornbread was dry and inedible. I barely ate 1/4 of my 3 pc meal & dumped it in the trash can in front of an employee. She gave me a dirty look then walked away. I know this place is popular with locals but I don’t care for it at all. I’d rather drive to Popeye’s in Salem for good fried chicken.

Couldn't wait to order my chicken for the super bowl game on Sunday. Sign in front of the store said open 1-5pm. I call around 3:00 to put my order in and was told they were only open for catering. Hmmm. Signed said open 1-5pm - but not really open unless they are doing your catering. They've been around forever, only a matter of time until their laziness catches up to them and a up start puts them out of business. Busiest day of the year, and they're not open.

Lots of great chicken, veggies, & sides choices here ; couple of dessert options. Food's already cooked & you can see everything through glass cases. Pour your own drinks & seat yourself. Come as you are; it's a comfy comfort food kind of place. My family had a nice time when we gathered here for a family member's birthday dinner, & have been back several times since. Staff are helpful & friendly. Busy place; might need to wait 5-10 min. to order, but the food comes hot off the line.

Just had the chicken pot pie dinner. Cole slaw was great except some pieces were huge (should have been cut). Mac & cheese good. Crust on the pie was about 1" thick. Coupled with the potatoes and there wasn't much chicken left. Prices up, portions down. It's always some issue, running out of cranberry sauce or vegetables aren't ready yet.

This place has great "comfort food" meals like fried chicken, rotisserie chicken, and all of the side dishes. We usually get take out and bring it home when we don't feel like cooking. It is not the fanciest place, but it is clean and the food is good. It takes a little while for food to come out after ordering, but I think it is because it is home cooked meals. Give it a try and let me know if you agree with my review!

A hometown staple! The food here is legendary in town. Everyone knows that the chicken connection has not only the greatest food around but the service is unmatched! Not to mention the old school diner vibe is amazing. Every customer is treated like family and every meal tastes like it was cooked at home with love. Chicken soup is full of meat not just broth and veggies the service is always great and friendly too Just wish you could call ahead for take out but the wait time is never too long anyway

My husband and I are visiting Haverhill and were excited to go and try a local restaurant. Supper last night for me was the pulled pork (it looked and tasted as if it had been sitting in the warmer all day), roasted red skin lemon pepper potatoes (there was no lemon pepper to be seen or tasted on any of the potatoes that were so hard and inedible from apparently sitting in a warmer for hours), and mixed vegetables that had no seasoning at all on them. My husband had barbecue ribs and a quarter of a chicken with red skin potatoes and vegetables. The ribs also looked and tasted as if they been out for hours. The best part of our meal was the Coke and the Sprite out of the fountain machine. The cashier who took our order was so upset and snippy that we stood back for a few minutes to look at the menu since it was our first time in, that I did not feel comfortable going up and telling her how bad our unfinished food was.
