Great BBQ in an area that not known for it. Maybe a little pricey, but worth it. The spicy BBQ sauce could be a little spicier, or have brands of hot sauce other than Frank's. Brisket is solid in my opinion, and my wife loves the baby back ribs. Corn bread could be better.

Best BBQ I've ever had, hands down. This is the BBQ that all other BBQ should be judged against. I've had most of the menu over the years and never had anything that wasn't awesome. The apple-smoked chicken wings are out of this world. Bring back the Mosey Sampler!!!

Tennessee BBQ Ribs are THE BEST ribs I have EVER eaten anywhere! Their jambalaya is is as good as Ralph & Kacoo’s jambalaya in New Orleans. The beans, Mac & cheese, the cornbread are all delicious.

Nice place, decent price and parking. This was my first visit to Tennessees. I had the Memphis Ribs with smashed potatoes, jambalaya and corn bread. The ribs were awesome. Smashed potatoes were great but the jambalaya did not meet my expectation. Other than that, overall a good experience.

The dining room needs to be spruced up, i.e. repainted and touched up. And, MY GOD, the bathroom!!!!! What the hell, people?!?! It's like using an interstate gas station rest room in Arkansas.

Tennessee's is awesome. Been there many times the last 7yrs. There are plenty of options from ribs to wings. Their prices are reasonable for the amount of food and the service. The service is good, I have never had an issue. Lastly, their chili is arguably the best on the south shore.

For real their food is nasty and flavorless and just a sad excuse for bbq. Their Mac n cheese was really nasty. But to be honest was does them in is the grimy storefront. The tables were sticky and the place was very unclean. I don’t plan on returning anytime soon.

Yummy food! My GF and I went by at 6 on a Saturday evening. Not crowded. I quite enjoyed my food. My gf hit a piece of fat in her pulled chicken, so that was a bummer. It was also more expensive than I was thinking, for sit down but no wait service. Bill was $34. Go here for the amount of options but go elsewhere where for price and wait staff, like Morell's in Stoughton.

Ive been going to Tennessee's since it opened over 17 years ago. The meat has always been great! The sides especially cucumber salad and sweet potatoes are my comfort food items. Dont waste time on fountain drinks that never seem to taste right. Buy the bottled sodas. The mac and cheese isnt what it used to be, now being cheese sauce based, but they now have jambalaya which I tried last night and was pretty good. I grew up a few blocks from the Pit Stop in Mattapan which is widely known for having great barbq, and was known to have cars double parked down morton st on Fridays with people trying to get in their, but I honestly prefer Tennessee's food over Pit Stop. My second home is in Boston, but I like taking the ride when I got a taste for something they sell and leave stuffed or use restraint and take stuff home...but I always leave satisfied.

The food was delicious, as always! I got the sliced brisket this time and it literally melted in my mouth. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that we came in a little before 8, store closes at 9, and the staff were already closing the dining room up. They closed up half the store, stacking chairs and tipping tables and after we got our food, were sweeping all around us. It felt like it was after closing and we were being rushed to leave. Thankfully it's not my first time here, so I'll be back, but definitely something for staff to consider.

The food was delicious! Both me and my guest picked the chicken/rib combo. We chose different side items though. My sides were collard greens, macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes. There were 3 chicken possibilities. We both got the regular barbecue wings. There was a hotter version and a spicy lemon version - maybe will try something different next time. My friend got jambalaya, sweet potato, and collards for sides. The decor mimicked an authentic Tennessee barbecue place. Free parking was available. They provide take out. Moderately priced.

I love this BBQ place. Everything is delicious. The collard greens are done right, the mac and cheese is excellent and they have corn bread that i like, which is an amazing feat because I've never liked anybody's corn bread. Its a little pricey, but you get what you pay for because its fresh food, not fake or processed take out and the portions are large. They have self serve tubs of their own sauces and the spicy bbq sauce is exceptional. You can even grab a beer with your meal if you like. On busy days, like superbowl sunday, they get a lot of orders so plan ahead, and be patient, because it takes time to cook food this good.

Do not go there after 8:30. They shut the grill off early and have limited food. Makes the overall experience terrible. Why keep restaurant hours till 9 o'clock when they close the grill before 8:30. They are consistent, today (Superbowl Sunday), despite being ridiculously busy they got my order in within 40 minutes. Extreme kindness on their behalf, extreme stupidity on mine not to call ahead. I gave it two stars because the chicken wings weren't terrible. Barbque is smoked meat with a dry rub or sauced during the "cooking" process. This is cooked meat with some sauce put on it. I feel sorry for folks that have never had real southern BBQ.

I love this bbq - it never lets me down. I have had all of the meats and they are all fantastic. The sides are pretty good as well, and are non-generic in their taste. My brother, who lived in Tennessee for many years, was cold on this place at first (Tenn bbq in Boston - c'mon man!) but has since warmed up to it and after being forced fed it at our house on occasion. So...I think it is pretty legit Tenn BBQ. Regardless, it tastes good, portions are excellent, and quality is consistent.

Amazing barbecue food. They make their own sauce and their baby back ribs and Texas ribs are absolutely delicious! If you don't know what to choose, you can always choose the platters or the "Oink Cackle Moo" which has Brisket, Chicken and Ribs.

This is the place for the best BBQ on the South Shore hands down. They have everything you could ever want in BBQ form. I suggest spending a couple extra bucks and just add the smoked sausage, you won't be disappointed. They probably have the best chicken wings I have ever put in my mouth my whole life.

Without exaggeration, the best brisket I've had in at least five years. Also the freshest Harpoon IPA draft I've had ever. The rep had just visited so I think they readjusted the pressure, got fresh kegs, cleaned the lines etc. But still there's a lot to be said about proper draft beer maintenance, especially at a counter service fast casual style place. Definitely recommend.

For Boston, this is good BBQ. It's definitely worth the trip out to Braintree when you get a craving (particularly if Pit Stop is closed that day). My favorites are the ribs and their sides. Sometimes they run out of brisket, which is a shame when you make the long trip, but I've always been satisfied with what I got.

The Mac and cheese look and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours, their sauces are as standard as it gets, and the people who worked there hadn’t even tried their own food! Been driving by here for so long and I always say someday I’d try it. Well, today is the day. Inside is pleasant lots of things around (got me excited). I got the sampler (pulled pork, ribs, and chicken) for $18 and change with beans and dirty rice on the side. The dirty rice had a spicy kick to it, the beans wa okay... Nothing to say really. The meat was good! I'm very picky with ordering chicken just because sometimes it can come out dry for my liking. However, the chicken was moist! The ribs and pulled pork complimented my palate so well! Corn bread is good too! Will be back to bring the fam.
