Steak tips were melt in my mouth good. Service started out well but slowed down even though they weren't very busy yet. Prices are fair and the college crowd keeps it lively.

Can’t say enough good things about Sidelines. Starting with the exceptional service from bartenders like Zoe and Kelly, to the selection of beers on tap, then to the delicious offering of food on their menu they have it all. Can always count on Sidelines for a great all around experience whether I’m coming out with a group of friends or just looking to grab a quick bite to eat and a cold beer. My top recommendation.

Always a great place to catch a game any day of the week. Great low key, non-pretentious sports bar with the best staff in town. Bartenders Amanda and Zoe are always quick for a refill, or scratch down an order on a Keno ticket. Plus, they'll handle any request to put a game of your choice on any TV (Boston teams get sound priority, obviously). And one of the servers, Maggie, i think, is delightful with her smile while serving a nice cranberry pineapple spritzer. The only thing that could make this place better is sweet potato fries as an option. I'll probably revisit, occasionally

Good bar staff is friendly and attentive and have heard good things about wing night and other evening specials but I had the chicken parmesan sub which was just ehh they used chicken fingers for the chicken and the person I was with had the chicken wrap with the same chicken fingers in it. Whatever happened to good old cooking and making foods the way it was intended to be not substitute chicken fingers for breaded chicken breast the sandwiches cost like $9.00 each so you expect a good sandwich. It's to bad because the bar is not bad at all.

Stuck up ownership and management who openly don't like people or know how deal with people. Little girl bartenders who pay more attention to their phones than the patrons. Don't ask for the sound for the game in that SPORTS BAR because they don't like it. Lousy bar, stay away. If I could put no stars, I would.

It pains me to give a 1 star review but the waitress Jess was down right rude. I was having a conversation with the owner and having a plain old jest. I said he needed to turn in his man card. Well she brought it up the next day when I came back into the restaurant and when I tried to explain she said she did not care and walked away. I hope the owner gets his man card back and deals with her. With service like that they are going to lose business, They lost mine!

They forgot to give me my card which they held when I closed my tab one night it had to come back. They burnt my pizza and insisted on making me a new one and when it came out I held my card up and the didn't close me out for 15 minutes with only one other customer and myself. The worst service I will never go to this place again. I was wondering if I should even order the pizza because of time the first one took forever and would've eaten the first but the second was just as burnt and I waited forever. Forget this place never again. I never complained about even the first pizza but they wasted over an hour of my time. Pizza sucked as well.

Stopped in for an early Sunday dinner, and the place had four people at the bar, a bartender and a waitress. Service was slow, to the point that we were at the pub for 1.5 hours - and not because we wanted to be. We ordered sodas and sandwiches. There was one sandwich with a request for removal of tomatoes. Out of three sandwiches, they managed to take 45 minutes to cook them and then managed to put tomatoes in. When pointed out, they removed a few from inside the melted cheese and handed it back, five minutes later. The sandwich was then cold and still had tomatoes in it. Service was terrible, food was bland and slow to come out. Never will we return.

I only end up here when it is not busy because that's just when I go. I can say that when I do attend they make my wings the way I like them and are even willing to add some ghost pepper (I bring my own) to the El Diablo so I can the wings extra hot. I have to say there is no wing place for heat and wing size around and my glass of Coke was perfect and is never empty for long. I have read some negative reviews and they all point to customer service. I can only assume the person for bad customer service has been let go. (Sidelines is only able to add the ghost pepper for me because I come when it is not busy) (Ghost Pepper is tough to manage when there are too many dishes floating around)

Just came back to this place after a recent remodel. Went during a Bruins game on Saturday afternoon. The place was packed but there were only two servers. We ordered food before the game began and didn't receive it until halfway through the second period. Seems staffing was light in the kitchen as well. Food was good when we finally received it. Sidelines has a long way to go to recapture it's former glory.

I tried this place out because it had good reviews.. From what i could tell online. My boyfriend and i got there and the waitress came up to us just handed us the menus. Then she asks us for a drink order immediately... Finally we order our food and my sandwich is ice old and the bacon is uncooked in it along with no mayonnaise on a BLT lol. We never got a drink refill, We couldnt catch our waitress to get a water... The food was lame and so was the service.

Congratulations sidelines. You were the first establishment to make me go out and write a review for the first time. And it’s not a positive one. Was there recently and had the absolute WORST customer service I’ve ever had anywhere. Went there with a friend (I was actually the one that suggested we go there) and we grabbed two seats at the bar. Wasn’t really that busy of a night compared to other nights. We eventually got served by a bartender, older woman out of the bunch, didn’t get her name. I could already tell from the get-go she was miserable and didn’t want to be there. Served our drinks and never bothered to come back and ask us if we wanted menus. We had to flag her down. Came back and gives us two menus. She takes my friends order which was a pizza and asked if they could make the crust a little thinner. She goes yeah. Left and didn’t even bother to take me order. I give her the benefit of the doubt that she just had to do something really quick and would come back to take mine. I still blatantly had the menu with me. Never even bothers to come back to our section of the bar. The other bar tenders that weren’t even originally serving us was nice enough to ask us if we wanted another drink. I didn’t ask her about ordering food because I wanted to see if the original woman would eventually come back to take my order. 20 minutes later...NOPE! My friend gets frustrated and flags her down saying she never took my order. She doesn’t even bother to apologize or was surprised that she forgot about me or anything. The only thing she says was “it’s gonna take a while to make the pizza I can still put the order in.” At this point I tell her forget about it I’m not even hungry anymore. Still, no simple apology from her. And of course literally 2 minutes later the pizza comes out. I guess the pizza never took that long. From this whole night all I wanted was a simple apology from her and this would have diffused how aggravated I was that evening. I’ve worked in retail and sales for 14 years dealing with customer service and this was embarrassing to the restaurants. To top it off we finish and get the bill. The pizza was 2 bucks more than it was advertised on the menu because according to the bill the pizza was stretched. Of course the bartender didn’t even give us the courtesy of telling us there was a small extra charge to stretch the pizza to make it thinner. Needless to say I got food somewhere else after we left and will not be coming here ever again. Every time sidelines has come up I’ve brought up this story. This place used to be good before they changed everything. They need to stress out the basic fundamentals of customer service like a normal establishment. I don’t care how good the food is, if the customer service is horrible it doesn’t matter. I’d much rather go to a mediocre place with awesome customer service. Sidelines strikes out in my book.

Sidelines is good at being what it is. As a restaurant or bar, I'd give Sidelines an average rating. But, for us Boston area sports fans, it's a great place to catch a game. Often noisy and packed in the evenings, Sidelines is a good place for munching down buffalo wings and washing them down with a beer (which they serve in 14 and 23 oz sizes) while cheering for your team. The prices are average, but Sidelines has cheaper food specials every week night so you'll also run into groups of grad students from nearby Salem State U. Also, they have a rotating sort-of-monthly beer special, which often features a good, local microbrew.

The bartending staff was friendly and fast. Food was good, we had the wings. Three different flavors was the way to go. I asked to put a certain game on the tv infront of us, and by some miracle or good training she know how to do it. I think it was the latter. I will be going back more often. The only complaint was the pitcher prices were a little on the high side, not complaining just saying.

Wings are excellent, crunchy outside and tender juicy inside. The spicy thai peanut sauce is such a great twist on the normal wing sauce and really yummy. I loved the firecracker sauce. The blue cheese dip was one of the best I have had, loads of big blue cheese chunks. The cheesesteak egg rolls are also very good and the spicy sauce adds the perfect touch. Service is very friendly and attentive.
