Tasty, solid barbecue joint. Mac and cheese is good, their power greens base is awesome when I want to feel a bit healthier. The brisket is my go-to meat. A bit expensive and indulgent for a workday lunch, but love it when I go.

First off, I wouldn't really consider this "Texas" barbecue. Very little black pepper in the rub, and no pickles/onions/white bread to be found. Also, most places in Texas frown on sauce, whereas this place had almost half a dozen to choose from. Most of the meat lacked a good smoke flavor and was overall underwhelming, Brisket was dry, not quite tender enough, and didn't have a good bark. The ribs were very dry, no good smoke ring and lacked a lot of flavor. The hotlink sausage was very good, and the sides were OK, but you don't go to a barbecue place for the sides. They did have a variety of sauces to choose from, and you need them to help cover up the poorly cooked meat.

Shed's is good place to snag a quick bite to go back to the office or to sit down for lunch. The BBQ is really good, I would say to try the brisket. It is the perfect place to get a decent amount of BBQ in the Downtown area.

Sliced brisket meat plate is to die for. Tender and juicy and very reasonable price. Best BBQ in Boston hands down and the staff is super nice. I go to my fair share of bbq places and Sheds, you just can’t beat. Highly recommend

I had two meat plate with shredded chicken and 3 pieces of St. Louis ribs but I don't think I got St. Louis ribs I believed it was baby back ribs. It came 2 sides I had egg potatoes salad and roasted mixed vegetables. The sides were good. The meat from ribs were falling off bones very cleanly. The shredded chicken was overcooked and I could not taste any other flavor except bbq sauce. I think the portion was small but the restaurant is located in downtown of Boston. If I go again I definitely will not order shredded chicken and stick with the ribs.

Had chopped brisket, smoked turkey platter. Both were so tender and flavorful. Beans and Mac n cheese were great side options. Corn bread I could eat as dessert it was so good. Will be stopping in every trip into Boston!

Got a craving for good BBQ? This is the place! Located in downtown Boston, it's a bit hidden if you don't frequent the street it's at. Food is well prepared, seasoned & cooked. Meat was so tender, it came off the bone like butter. Great, friendly staff. I recommend this place.

It kept showing up as an "ad" when I'd search for lunch and I finally gave in today for lunch. Shed's is located near Downtown Crossing and so a barbecue place in downtown Boston is going to be interesting. I had a low expectation but it was nicely exceeded today. Brisket was quite moist though covered in sauce. Decent flavor and consistency, maybe a little too sauced but still decent. For sides, the mac & cheese was very good. Not too much cheese, plenty of flavor and the noodles were firm. Cole slaw was good. Tart with an appropriate amount of mayonnaise. Maybe some more celery seed would be nice but that's just how I make my own. Corn bread was excellent. Firm, moist, not sweet. Restaurant is clean and well maintained. It's not obvious walking in that it's not table service but I figured it out promptly.

Great clean location with ample seating. You can't go wrong with any of the bowl. My favorite is the mac and cheese with the brisket, hots, corn and the corn bread. The lines move quick do if your ever in a rush don't worry. And everyone it's so nice and patient edith your order. Also the desert are the best treat.

Found this place from a video Facebook go figure. what a great little BBQ spot right in the city. Not many around, was helped right away and got my food immediately and was hot and definitely fresh. I got the sliced brisket with Mac and cheese and it was delicious. Definitely recommend. Only down side is the hours. I left work early to try it and was not let down.

Texas style BBQ that doesn’t live up to Texas BBQ. Had the smoked brisket pieces sandwich with fried pickles. The brisket was tender enough, but not super flavorful and the bbq sauce on it was nothing to talk about either. The pickles were overly breaded in a thick breading reminiscent of Tyson chicken tender breading. Hid the actual pickle taste way too much. Overall. Just ok. Not bad, but not good either.

Being from Texas and living in MA I sometimes crave BBQ and Shed’s hits the spot! Turkey, sweet potatoes, and mac and cheese are my go-to’s here. The brisket leaves a bit to be desired but is good enough for when a craving hits.

The prices are reasonable and the smokey BBQ is excellent. Their signature sauce has a bit of a kick as any good sauce should. The food is messy and delicious.

I always get ribs here. After perhaps 8 straight visits that were excellent, I've now had 2 in a row that were very disappointing. The ribs sere so dried out that the underlying bone broke off in my mouth along with the meat. If I hadn't brought this back to my office to eat (several blocks away), I would have returned my meal. Prior to these recent experiences, I thought that their ribs were terrific, and Sheds had become a lunch favorite for me. It does occur to me that both disappointing meals were on Mondays, and perhaps I'm getting overcooked leftovers. I'm posting this because I'm hopeful that they will figure out what has happened here and get back to their excellence of just a few weeks ago.

This was early afternoon on a weekday, so that may have affected things. Also, keep in mind BBQ preferences are often very personal. The good: ribs were quite good - the right amount of bite vs tenderness, nice smokiness, and works well with their default sauce. Tasted good with or without sauce. The not so good: my first bite of brisket made me wonder if I had accidentally been given slices of roast beef. There was hardly any smoke on it at all - not only was there no visible smoke ring but there was little to no smoke flavor. Sauce rescued it, but disappointing nonetheless, especially for a place that's supposed to be about Texas style Q. Sides were OK - I had mac&cheese and the greens. Greens were a bit salty and slightly sweet. Corn bread was of the sweet variety. Had a funny texture, kind of bouncy, like if you can imagine a twinkie made of corn bread? Might give them another try sometime, because the ribs were pretty good, but not in a rush to go back.

The food is great here. They have lots of options from salads to platters. I usually get the salad with either pulled pork or chicken. It's excellent.

Ive walked in about quarter to 3 and there was no one in there so i was sceptical about being there. Then i saw the pots that are like my Grandmas old school pots which might not be safe to store food in since they are so old looking, just saying.
