Great lunch at Sarcastic Swine. All of the food was great, especially the cornbread and cinnamon butter. Huge portions. Everyone left full and happy. Worth a visit if you're in the area and looking for BBQ!

Food was fair . Different then other BBQ 's in this area. Decent portions. I did enjoy the hush puppies and the chicken tenders. Felt the brisket and the ribs were a bit dry and a little bit salty. But not horrible. Main reason for the 2 stars was the service. The guys in the restaurant just loved to chat with each other . From cooks talking to the cashiers to whoever. . Think they forgot that they are there for a reason. The customer. Overall it's more of a teen hang out for the workers. Hey if this place is geared towards that crowd that's coool . Just not my type of atmosphere.

FINALLY! Although there are a few (strongly emphasize few) other good/quality restaurants in town, Sarcastic Swine has become a welcomed addition to small list of great restaurants in the area. The food was fresh and delicious, service was great, and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone. So happy to have a restaurant in the area that’s not a chain and doesn’t serve frozen foods.

I was excited to try Sarcastic Swine because I’ve seen all the reviews but when I arrived I was very turned off. I love in the South Shore area by the Rockland sober house and last week had a very bad experience with a resident there who started yelling at my grandchild while he seemed to be under the influence. I eventually was able to get his name and was surprised to see Eric Hasse cooking behind the counter. This man so vile I left, I found it to bad that such a great restaurant would choose such a poor character to represent them.

I got the Tipsy Pig,and my boyfriend got a platter w choice of meat,2 sides,and cornbread I liked that it wasnt drowned in bbq sauce so I could add my own. The cornbread is good, you can pick reg,bacon or cinnamon butter. On your way out make sure to grab a "Doggie" bag, it has a decent sized bone in it for your dog!

Large portions,Food wasn't hot as we like it. Corn bread is good. Didnt like how food is served on a tray with a piece of paper on it really could use better plating maybe paper plates? Place Kept clean even when busy. Friendly helpful staff

The brisket was outstanding and the ribs were "fall off the bone tender". Chicken and steak tips were both juicy and tender. This is a place that respects the meat and doesn't hide it with excessive rubs or sauces. Plenty of sauce varieties to add if you want them through. The cowboy beans and collards greens were excellent sides. It was a busy Saturday night, but the very courteous staff took care of us quickly. A great experience. We will definitely return!

Kind of disappointed with our food. Quanity was small for the price...$$$ and I didn't care much for what we had gotten. It was subs. I had really looked forward to eating there and read some great reviews, but it wasn't that good. My husband felt the same. I doubt we will be returning.

Really nice platter of brisket and pulled pork. Both were pulled, but the brisket had bits cut with the grain and against it, giving a nice mix of textures. The meat was moderately smokey. The mac and cheese was really cheesy and had nice texture.

This is a great BBQ place and a great place to get food in general. The care that the staff puts into the food is extraordinary and really shines through in the taste. I would highly recommend getting the Mac n Cow, which is one of the best sandwiches that I have ever had. They also give massive portions of food(I have never been able to finish an entire meal). This place is just amazing, and I recommend it to anyone who is in the mood for some good BBQ.

Getting better, but disorganized service. I stopped in for a lunch on a Sunday. One person ahead of me on line. I ordered right behind him and sat down. His order was brought out in 5 minutes. Next people started arriving to pick up take out orders while I waited. Then more people showed up for more take out while I waited. 22 minutes went by ( yes I read the time printed on my receipt) and finally I got my order while the guy ahead of me was half through his lunch. Apparently big take out orders kick the people waiting in the dining room to the curb. OK I get it, they spent more money. The food is good and I support this place by coming back at least once a week. I just wish I didn't feel abused when they happen to get busy. But the food is good.

Loved it! Ordered the Mac n Cow sandwich and it was amazing. The brisket was cooked perfectly and the serving was huge. Pleasant atmosphere and the owner Steve even came out to the dining area to ask us how everything was. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I love BBQ so I was excited to try this place unfortunately all I got was high prices and low flavor most of the stuff was good but not nearly good enough to justify the prices they also have the worst Mac and cheese I have ever tasted

This place! The meat is so good, I personally love the mango cherry sausage and the brisket. The baked beans are also out of this world delicious and the corn bread is to die for. The only thing I didn't love was the redneck rice, a little plain for my taste. Otherwise this is easily the best BBQ on the South Shore.

My boyfriend and I just popped in for lunch and loved it. I’ve been hearing great things and we definitely weren’t disappointed! Food was great, atmosphere and decor is really fun, and the staff was really nice. We got a Flying Ginger grilled cheese, and a brisket with Mac and cheese.. both large portions and filling! Glad we have left overs to pick on later!

Sarcastic Swine is hands down your best bet for BBQ in the south shore area. We've been following them since we found them at a food truck rodeo a couple summers ago. The Mac and Cow is a staple, along with the BBQ burrito. Sometimes the wait is a little long at the restaurant but do not complain - it's worth the wait. If you haven't had this place yet please do yourself a favor!

Amazing BBQ! Their Mac&Cow is by far the best BBQ sandwich and their homemade chips with seasoning are amazing!! They have a little BBQ sauce bar as well so you can mix and match to your flavor preferences.

Not sure if last night 8/6 was an off night, but the meat was grey, when I questioned the color I was told it was the sauce...well, I couldn't taste the sauce . The veggies looked to die for, again, no flavor. Was so disappointed I should have asked for a refund. Ordered a bunch of BBQ and side dishes for a birthday party and it was amazing. Very legit BBQ in the greater Boston area, which is hard to come by. Super friendly staff, too. Great catering option for big parties.

I've been dying to try the place and finally went over for lunch today. Excellent!!! I've been so disappointed by places that claim to serve good BBQ, but it's always dry, overcooked or tough. I got the brisket/ribs plate with rice and beans. Everything was top notch. The meat was so good that I didn't want to taint it with BBQ sauce, but they have several interesting sauces to try, so I'll have to go back.

Had my first experience yesterday and it was great. I dropped in for a takeout. I was in and out in 15 minutes. Ordered the one meat platter with ribs, slaw and beans. Delicious and enough food for two . The place was full with diners and customers coming in for takeout . I'll be back. There's a whole menu to try!

I was really excited to try some new BBQ on the South Shore! The staff are friendly and the restaurant looks great. They have some great outdoor seating which is awesome for this time of year! The food is on the pricey side compared to other options in the area. As a native Texan (who has consumed much barbecue) I was disappointed in the brisket, it tasted like pot roast. The Mac and Cheese was very good and very homemade- they aren’t cutting corners with Velveeta! I’d like to go back and give some of their other meats a try, I have a feeling there’s a bit more to try before making up my mind completely.

Good BBQ for the area, the ribs were delicious, pulled pork was good. I've been to some good bbq joints around the country, had my fair share of 'the itis' from ribs and burnt ends so good you'd think your mouth was bringing u to heaven. Really, that good. I've had pulled pork so perfectly smoked that it transcends itself and becomes another food entirely. Corn bread and honey butter so rich and smooth you could mistake it for pastry if you were blindfolded. So like I said.. this is good bbq, for the area. Dont get me wrong here, this is on the higher end of bbq on the South Shore, and maybe I'm just too picky with what I expect from a bbq restaurant. Sarcastic Swine does a bunch of things right. They have everything I'd expect them to have, ribs, wings, pulled pork, sauce, sides, etc. But they missed the mark on some key details. Their bbq wasn't cooked slow enough or long enough. The ribs were a little tough and chewy. Yes, the meat did fall off the bone (more like the bone fell out of the meat), but once the bone was gone.. I was left with something that reminded me more of a McRibwich than smoked or even slow cooked ribs. The cartilage was still rubbery and hard, and the fat hadn't been given enough time to melt away from the meat. The wings were the biggest disappointment. Very thick layer of fat on the skin and in the joints that, like the ribs, hadn't had enough time to melt away. They weren't seasoned well either, and worst of all, I never even finished them. And I love wings. The pulled pork was ok. At very best, the pulled pork could only be ok. It reminded me of a smoked shoulder that had been boiled in a crockpot for half a day and then given flavor CPR with a thin vinegar based sauce in a vain attempt at resuscitating the would be glory it was robbed of. This is where the sauce came in handy, I basically smothered it and then ate it. If you're in the mood for bbq and in the area, this place is the best around and you won't find better bbq within a reasonable distance. This place has won at least one award, but I couldn't find what for on their website. Maybe their bbq is better at competition or maybe I just keep catching them on an off day.. They're getting better, but still missing the mark. Sorry Sarcastic Swine, you cook your meat too fast and too hot. You need to slow it down, good bbq can't be rushed. I'd rather be told 'sorry, but we ran out of that' than be served rushed bbq
