I first tried this business when it was just a food truck and was excited to see a brick & mortar version open up. I've never tried their vegan offerings, but the regular grilled cheeses are all amazing. The Allston seemed a little strange with goat chese and fig spread, but it's just what you need when you want something a little different. This location also offers burgers and the Justin is a treat. Their poutine does it the right way with proper curd and not the shredded cheese some places try to give you. If you get the regular fries, get the extra of the truffle mayo dip. The service is great, always friendly. Sometimes it gets a little busy, but it's never much of a wait for your order.

Delicious. I've only been here twice, but they have impressed me every time. They wrap their gluten free sandwiches in tinfoil before cooking them to reduce the chance of contamination. I love that they use so much cheese in the grilled cheeses; they know what they're doing.

I have to say the drinks here have gotten much better, the Frozen penicillin is always a fun drink to have on a warm day. It seems that there's far too many single player games and they are going much more retro. That's well and good but can sometimes be pretty boring.

This place is ABSOLUTELY perfect for vegan foodies. My husband and I can here for Valentine's Day just to have something different for once. They have a separate vegan menu section which is awesome, so we got a buffalo tofu melt which rocks and a regular grilled cheese on Iggys bread with caramelized onion and tomato and a side of fries. It was very good. Would recommend this place and would eat here again. Also a great location seeing as Fomu is right next door for dessert.

(Brick and mortar location only) Food is amazing but the staff leaves a little something to be desired. They definitely save their A squad for the food trucks. Everytime I go in, I am met with absolute bewilderment and tension as the staff wordlessly stares until you give your order. It's just a super awkward encounter for a sandwich... everytime.

The double fried chicken sandwich is the best the city has to offer and the fries are good as well. My gripe was that this location is disgustingly dirty, when walking in it is apparent that there is grime everywhere. The neglected environment made me feel like I never want to come back.

Love Roxy's! Was originally hesitant to pay $7-8 for a grilled cheese but they do it way better than at home haha. I've tried quite a few sandwiches and they've all been good! Pictured is The Allston, a vegetarian option. Not a vegan, but they also offer vegan options. My boyfriend is obsessed with The Mighty Rib Melt and eats it at least once a week. It's a great little spot to grab a meal. I love their fries as well!

Roxy's grilled cheese is one of my favorite places. I can't eat a lot of dairy and they have vegan options which is such a big deal for me. The only downside is that their food truck does NOT offer the dairy free grilled cheeses which is disappointing. They also serve a small selection of beer and ciders!

Shuffleboard, arcade games in the back. Friendly staff. Kind of too loud even at 5pm for a conversation, and lots of TV screens, which is a bit over stimulating visually. They used to have fooseball, but it wasn’t there last time I went.

When I had the first bite of my Bacon Cheese Burger, I became visibly upset at just how good it was. My expectations were already high, and this place just blew past them in a flurry of flavor and satisfaction. Excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere, definitely worth trying.

This grilled cheese really hit the spot. It's so gooey and delicious. Get it with the tomato soup and omg, bliss! I got the three cheese melt with caramelized onion and my friend just got the three cheese melt. We both inhaled ours; it was just that good. The service is great too, two really nice staff!

Do I religiously stalk the Roxy's Grilled Cheese truck on Twitter? Absolutely--and I do so shamelessly. After you experience Roxy's once it is enough to get you hooked for a lifetime. The store in Allston makes it even easier to get there now too. Before I had Roxy's I thought that all grilled cheeses were essentially the same. Sure you can mix up the bread choice from the standard white to multi-grain or change from American cheese to an artisanal gouda. But the result is still basically the same: a delicious, but still relatively bland sandwich. Roxy's takes that notion and shatters it entirely. Any grilled cheese from Roxy's is LIFE-CHANGING. From their standard "Rookie" (Vermont white cheddar + tomato) to the intriguing "Mello Melt" (vermont white cheddar + goat cheese + mango chutney, crunchy kale, and red onions) any sandwich you order will be a revelation. Without fail every time I have gone there the bread has been perfectly crisp, buttery, and browned. Quite frankly, it is the best grilled cheese you will ever have. And if you seek out the truck in the winter months make sure you get their tomato soup. Believe me, it is well-worth the extra few bucks. (Plus, every time i've ordered the soup the sandwich-masters have asked me if I wanted to enjoy it while I'm waiting for the sandwich! #YesPlease)

So, so tasty. I had the mighty rib melt (fontina, bbq braised short rib, and caramelized onions) and it was fantastic. The Green Muenster (muenster, bacon, and house made guacamole) is also awesome. I have yet to try their burgers, but that's next on my list for sure. This location also offers four vegan options, which I think is a pretty cool move for a grilled cheese place.

We were really craving typical grill cheese sandwich, so we went to this place because I know they have lactose free cheese. I ordered green monster which was bacon with avocado and blended cheese along with roasted tomatoes soup which it was a combo I picked it. My friend got hamburgers with truffles fries which it was really delicious. I loved the customer services, staffs was very friendly and explained all the questions we had. We didn't have to wait for that long for our food and they brought all our food out together.

Ordered online for pickup - then got told to wait in line. At the front, they said they didn't have the soup I ordered, but could put bacon on my sandwich instead. i don't eat bacon, and they could have offered me something more substantial to make up for not having the food i ordered (and waited for). Best grilled cheese ever! Not much more to say. My favorites are the Green Muenster & the Mighty Rib. The braised beef and caramelized onions with the cheese is just heaven! And a bonus the brick and mortar location has over the food trucks is they have a great assortment of beers as well which I wasn't expecting. I recommend the Fascist Pig ale. Definitely a great way to change things up!

Excellent grilled cheeses! My favorite sandwich is their hot honey bacon. The cayenne pepper infused honey is absolutely delicious with the cheese and bacon! It's a very casual place, and they serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to wash down their sandwiches.

I was a very excited to find out that they had gluten-free bread, but was disappointed when I got home and saw that my sandwich was burnt. Me and my boyfriend were the only people there, so it wasn't busy or anything and there were two employees. The sandwich was very good, though I tried to scrape the burnt part off. I would probably go back, but make it a point to ask for them to make sure not to burn my sandwich.

The Buffalo Tofu Vegan grilled cheese was amazing. The bread had the perfect crispness without being greasy. Food-gasm in my mouth. Definitely not to be eaten while driving, a 6 napkin sandwich for sure. I will come here again and try something else, in fact I was thinking the Vegan Alston I had seen online until I got there and this other sandwich won out.
