12/10... highly recommend by all in our party of 8. Excellent breakfast food... fantastic lobster Benedict... very attentive, fun waitstaff... endless coffee
Delicious breakfasts/lunches. Slight southern home cookin' flair. Busy with medium capacity. Outstanding pancakes omelets and muffins
Suzie Que was an awesome waitress in an old time dinner atmosphere. Their lobster rolls are scrumptious.
Got the 1/2lb lobster benedict omelette, the thing was packed full of fresh lobster meat, if it wasn't 3/4 lbs instead of 1/2 I'd be surprised. My wife got chocolate crepes and loved them, and was surprised to also get two eggs and toast. All the food was top notch, wouldn't hesitate to go again..That said be prepared to wait, and parking is a bear.
Best bacon I've ever had
The atmosphere is great I'm a little disappointed in the quality of food they used to be an excellent breakfast restaurant
The menu has great choices, even for me on my keto diet! Food was fantastic and the service was all smiles and laughter. We will 100% be coming back
The eggs were supposed to be poached but they were almost hard boiled not runny at all. The bacon I asked to be crisp and not only was it soggy but it was dripping in fat. Not sure what happened to this place it used to be great. Definitely not anymore!
For years we drove by this little place on our vacation and the full parking lot with cars parked down the street deterred is from braving the crowds. Today we finally did! Absolutely FANTASTIC! I’ve never had a corned beef hash that wasn’t disgustingly salty! (Instead it left me wanting more)! Find a parking spot, park on the street, walk there... WHATEVER you have to do, you should have breakfast here!
Best spot ever bring a hundo n try what you like
Delicious biscuits and gravy, lobster roll and Nutella French toast. The place is so charming and staff is very friendly.
We had a great breakfast! The French toast Foster was delicious and the sausage gravy biscuit was too! The service is outstanding! Our waitress was so nice and friendly. I’ll definately return when I’m back in the area!
Lovely staff, quick service time, the best French toast I've ever had.
Lobster for breakfast! Must have.
Fantastic place. Can't wait to go again. Fresh squeezed orange Juice. So much to choose from. Service was perfection. Plan on waiting, it's a happening place.
Best pancakes on the Cape
Friendly, professional, and food is very delicious! Excellent.
The best restaurant for breakfast! They have an extensive menu that rivals that of larger restaurants and an excellent “1776 sausage” that is unlike anything I’ve ever had before. It’s always busy but the staff is good at getting people in and out in a timely manner. Cash is only accepted but there is an ATM located in the back of the restaurant if need be.
Delicious food with so much to choose from. Giant menu !!
We were so happy to find this little place ! Everything was wonderful
First time there. Food was great and the staff were super friendly! Will definitely go there again the next time we're in the area. By the way, it's cash only, but there's an ATM in the back near the bathrooms.
No wonder why the new apple pie crepe is award winning it's the best crepe ever! ❤
One of the best corned beef hash I have had. My granddaughter was very happy with her fruit crepes.
We visited twice in 2 days! And we waited 30min each time but it’s worth the wait. Best breakfast in area, the speciality dishes are great. Bottom line , worth the wait
Red Cottage is always coming up with new ideas for breakfast. Very clever. I cannot wait to try their lunch and dinner specials too! So good! Yum
Such a friendly place and delicious food. Offer gluten free and vegan too. One of our favorite spots.
Great service and food!
Wellfleet is the dish.
Best breakfast and lunch. Wonderful staff, friendly and warm. Our favorite place!!
Though simply can't beat their breakfast. Pancakes, French Toast, omelettesomelettes- they're all good. Be prepared to wait in line if you're not there early.
Small, friendly, good food.
One of the few places on the Cape that serves grits! Huge variety, great staff, and homey atmosphere. You will not be disappointed!
Great place for a big Sunday breakfast. Busy and cozy, so plan accordingly.
Very delicious
Great little find on my first trip to the Cape!
Great food, cash only
Great food excellent service very friendly!!
One of the best breakfast places on the Cape. Everything is delicious. I had the Truro this morning. Bananas Foster French toast and home fries, with bacon and an English muffin. Ridiculously good. If I could give this place 6 stars I would.
Excellent food & service!
The crepes were cooked perfectly, the eggs were light and fluffy, and the service was friendly and attentive. I can see why this is a local favorite!
Excellent food and service. A bit cramped and very popular. Goes with the quality, I guess. Funky locale and decor.
Amazing lobster omelette! The restaurant is a very cute, diner style and service was quick.
Best breakfast on the Cape! Everything is homemade and delicious. Such a huge variety of options, you'll always find something to eat, even if you're picky like me. The wait can be very long, but it's totally worth it. Highly recommended.
Excellent food. Cool place.
Best breakfast on cape! The Truro is amazing!
Very well known for their breakfast menus. Great service and great people everytime I've been in.
Great food and service
Definitely not worth the time or trip. Terrible parking lot! Extremely long wait for table, rude waitress and mediocre food. Ordered the Benedict's and they were hard boiled. Egg didn't even run when cut into it. Bacon was just tons of fat and partially cooked. Very disappointed after hearing such a great reputation.
Popular breakfast spot on cape! Definitely one to check off the bucket list. Get their early to avoid lines. You’ll be happy with you went :)
Our favorite breakfast place! Wonderful food featuring popovers. One of the best lobster rolls on the Cape! A definite must for a meal.
The best food & friendly service.
Cute place, geat selection of delicious breakfast dishes. Staff friendly courteous and attentive! Worth the wait, which we we're lucky to avoid in early season midweek morning! Try it you'll like it!
Best breakfast ever!! A must stop place when you’re on the cape
Just a great little place best popovers coffey and the food not bad
Awesome breakfast. Been going for years. Gets busy early. Can't go wrong. Cash only
Known by locals for their excellent breakfast, Dan also serves dinner on weekends in the summer. For breakfast, try the ham on the bone... for dinner, steak tips are a good bet.
Staff was great, good super delicious. Get there early as lines tend to form later in the morning.
I go here every time I am on the Cape. Solid breakfast. Great service.
One of the best breakfasts I have ever had apple pie crepe and their house homefries
Great food and service.
The cinnamon roll french toast is a must and so delicious!
Really good imaginative food. Friendly waitstaff. Will go back.
The wait is completely worth it. We come back year after year. Food is full of flavor, staff is friendly and attentive. The cinnamon bun French toast is a MUST!
Great traditional place good food well priced
Best breakfast on Cape Cod. And lunch is 1st rate. Breakfast menu is extensive with some unique and delicious options. Be prepared it is busy and noisy on weekends, buy well worth it.
Sure they have a great breakfast and the line is crazy long - but have you tried the Red Cittage for dinner? You should! It's just as awesome. We had the best fish and chips ever, awesome crab cakes and amazing chicken Alfredo. We didn't have room for desert but they looked yummy.
Gourmet breakfast worth the price.
Great breakfast and friendly staff
Love workers and the food. I am a local and during the summer you could be waiting for a table for a while, but otherwise amazing!
Great place, great breakfast. Convenient location.
Excellent diner style restaurant. Super wait staff. Limited parking, arrive early, you might have a little wait.
Heads up this place is cash only. If you are able to head out for breakfast definitely check this place out. I wouldn't try to take a big group there over the summer because it may be hard to get in unless you go during the weekdays around 8 am. Everyone was extremely pleased with what they ordered. They let me customized my crepes. It was perfectly cooked! I would recommend the goat cheese and chive eggs if you like goat cheese. They were out of this world. I will definitely be returning next I'm in town.
The red cottage has a very generous menu and portions. It also sells loaves of bread to be used for french toast ... cinnamon toast. Food is fresh and delicious and has garnishes such as fresh fruit and berries . The staff is friendly and wants to please customers. This place has been around for over 50 years that I know of. Years ago it used to have Penny Candy.
This is hands down the best breakfast I’ve had on vacation, the loaded home fries are the best thing on the menu.
Love this place, always have, always will.
Pretty good breakfast place on the cape. Worth the wait. House fries were a little acidic like too much vinegar but everything else tasted amazing.
Great food and service. Offers gluten friendly!
Birthday breakfast..all enjoyed
Over priced compared to most breakfast places in the area. Home fries mushy. Bacon tastes like maple candy just not for me.
Best breakfast place in Dennis everything is made fresh and is served hot wonderful recommended to anybody who stays in the area
Great Hash Browns!
Amazing breakfast they have fresh made Popovers daily and all the food is delicious. They also have great lunch meals as well
Delicious fruit crepes with more than enough sides included. Even the vanilla yogurt side was really good. The staff are friendly and efficient, and the service is excellent. Amazingly large breakfast and lunch menu. I make a point of eating here on all my trips to the Cape.
The hype is real. Inevitable wait leads to yummy breakfast. Lobster Benny with popover and upgraded RC home fries. They serve with sriracha on the side which magically works.
Our first time here. It was one of the best breakfast I’ve had. I had blueberry pancakes and home fries. My fiancé had eggs benedict hash and he said the same thing. The service was excellent. We left there very satisfied and pleased. Highly recommend! Nom nom nom :)
Great place for breakfast.....oh that Cinnamon Bun French toast!!!!!! Wish I could give it 6 stars!
Lobster hash that is all i'm going to say... must stop if you are in the area!
The worst part of the experience is trying to find a parking spot. I made a quick u-turn and by some luck, a spot opened up. While the place was packed, the lines moved quickly. The decor brings you back to the old diner places that had the best stick to your ribs meals. I had the 3 cheese apple omelette with fried potatoes. If you are looking for something different, be sure to give it a try. Don't let the crowds turn you away, you won't regret eating at this fine diner. And now they are open seven days a week.
Best breakfast on earth
Excellent breakfast! Fast service! If you are anywhere near South Dennis you need to go here. Cars will be parked down the street a ways but check the parking lot because there might be an open spot! Also make sure you go put your name on the list for a table, and while you wait look at a menu.
Best breakfast on the Cape. I make it a mission to eat there atleast once while out vacationing. Irish Benny and bananas foster French toast top our list as well as the bacon and sausage and the cottage fries.
Great food and great service
Cozy, homey breakfast and luncheon diner type restaurant. Family owned. Pancakes and waffles are awesome. Waitress, Sue was the best. Can't wait to go back
Very busy for breakfast. But yummy food. Good vegetarian options. Delicious french toast and crepes.
Food is excellent.
Great ambiance, could use some more vegetarian options.
Drove by and noticed the parking lot was full. Decided to try the next day. Breakfast was delicious. Lobster Benedict was phenomenal and staff friendly and fast. Definitely worth a visit.
Gluten free pancakes were amazing!
You can always, always, ALWAYS count on The Red Cottage for the best breakfast on The Cape. They have amazing breakfast, lunch and dinner. The homemade hash is to die for. The line gets crazy long, but wake up extra early! It's worth it.
The parking lot was jammed when we got there at 8am, we almost didn’t even try going in to see if the wait was too long. We’re so glad we did though because there were plenty of tables open and we were seated right away. We upgraded to the organic dark roast coffee and it was delicious. The food was amazing. One of the best breakfasts we’ve had. Service was fast and everyone there was friendly and efficient. Well worth a visit, even if there is a wait!
Great place in Cape, will make it a regular stop!
Best place for a diner breakfast we have found on the cape.
Best place for breakfast on the cape hands down. Great place for lunch and in the summer their dinners are simple fare with great prices. Try their chicken salad with cranberries and walnuts.
Best breakfast ever! Food, service, atmosphere. I can't say enough good things.
Very good. Especially the sweets.
We found this eatery by sheer accident and it was awesome! Great food and service! The restaurant is so quaint! You'll love it!
The food was amazing and the service was fast and friendly. I got the cinnamon bun French toast and my boyfriend got the corned beef hash crepe. Both portions were huge and the sauces on top were perfection! Would definitely visit again.
Daniel my server was friendly and informative, and insisted I try their homemade hash. I'm so glad he did its amazing and I will be back for breakfast. I'm having lunch today and ordered the California wrap with mixed greens, its fresh and delicious and I will absolutely be back to try their chef Evo's other creations!
Incredible variety of selections and even better food. Crepes and home fries are delicious!
Great place. Awesome breakfast. Everything I've ever ordered here has been great.
Food was very good as was the service. We felt the prices were to high and cater to the tourists vrs. The locals
Today was our first visit and we were thrilled! We will definitely return on our next visit to the Cape
Fantastic breakfast and lunch. Portions are generous and delicious. A must visit in Dennis. Prepare to wait, parking is a bit of a problem but worth it. Their popovers are yummy and there is a lot to choose from the menu.
I can find no faults. Be prepared to wait for a table. Don’t come here with impatience. 8AM on a Thursday and the lot was packed with vehicles, and a crowd standing outside. I had to park on the shoulder of the road about 200 yards away. Being alone, I snagged the odd counter seat upon arriving. The menu is weighty. There’s a lot to choose from. Mostly the same items in various combinations. Sitting in view of the grill, ruled out Hash. It really has to impress me, and I could see that it would not. That’s just me. I’ve tried a lot of hash, all over the country. I wanted something I could get no where else, and ended up on the Country omelet. I know, I know. How is a meat and veggie omelet special? The grill cooks sold it for me. Such skill and attention to detail. It was good, not moan out loud extraordinary. The crispy potatoes were cooked right the first time. I should have gotten the Cottage potatoes instead. I should have upgraded my bread choice to Apple Pie French Toast. I should have tried some sausage gravy on my omelet. I thought of all these things while reading Yelp reviews and completely forgot to execute a single one. Maybe I would have moaned out loud. Super friendly, patient, and helpful staff. A mature staff that you don’t see checking their phones. Very clean place, and of course, cash only. ** Hidden in the meat sides is the offering of Cajun seasoning. The hot sauces are standard and tired. Put that seasoning in some shakers or peppermill grinders to add some “Oomph” to the meals. If I saw a server grinding a mill at another table on a patrons plate, I know I would inquire.
Very friendly staff. Eggs Benedict best I have had. Large variety of choices and great organic coffee
Hidden gem!!! We stumbled across this restaurant on our last day in Cape Cod. It's a short drive away but it was worth it! It is a very popular spot so if you see people waiting outside, like we did, don't let it discourage you. The seating went quickly and the service was great. We ordered the Yarmouth and the Wellfleet meals. It is cash only but don't worry they have an ATM. If you come in a large group it would make sense split up to be seated faster. Check them out! Everything was delicious...so good that I forgot to take pictures of the food!
Absolutely awesome breakfast. The food was so good. We had this great lady Sue as our waitress and she was simply the best. The hash was out of this world and the Red Cottage Fries were crazy good. The whole staff and ownership seemed so happy to address everyone and certainly made you feel welcome. Definitely my new breakfast place on Cape Cod. Also heard the Lobster rolls are some of the best around the Dennisport area. All claws and knuckles only with just mayo salt and pepper. The way it's supposed to be. Highly recommend this establishment, I promise you won't be disappointed.
This is THE place for breakfast. Creative favorites with yummy twists. If you want simple, they've got it. Lobster for breakfast? If you want bacon and spinach crepes, they have that too. Regular, flavored or organic coffee. Worth the normal 30 minute wait.
Great food in a lovely atmosphere. Remember though, cash only. Corned beef hash is a must try. Crab cakes not so good. Though in fairness it's the first thing I ever ordered there that I didn't enjoy.
I had eggs over easy w corned beef hash. Also got a popover. Everything was delicious. Honey atmosphere. Long wait on Saturday am but well worth it. Gratitude says it all
Slightly long wait, but let's be real what good brunch spot doesn't have a wait? I had one of their combo dishes; eggs, pancakes, home fries red cottage style, and corn beef hash. I believe it was called the Dennis. The hash was SOLID. I also tried some of my wife's lobster Benedict...YUM. Great service. Great food. Will definitely be back the next time I'm on the Cape.
Very friendly place, great food too. I would definitely go back there
Great service great atmosphere the house made corned beef hash is amazing
Amazing breakfast and lunch. Great house made hash.
The place was packed when we pulled in at 8am, which was our first clue that it would be tasty. And boy, was it ever!! The OJ was fresh squeezed and the oatmeal was so creamy and delicious!! My companion had the blueberry pancakes and couldn't praise them enough. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Cash only though, so be aware. Great breakfast spot!!!
Really good coffee and homefrries. The apple pie crepe was so delicious. Definitely will go back.
Anything less than 5 stars from anyone else must be a one off that's been exaggerated. Possible that the wait caused anger which in turn gave them a bad experience. We got here around 9 AM on a Tuesday, plenty of open parking and no wait for a table. By the time we finished though there was a wait for others and a packed parking lot. Our waitress Rebecca was very hospitable, and only enhanced the experience we had from the absolutely delicious fare. Lobster popovers, biscuits & gravy, cinnamon bun french toast, red cottage home fries, fresh squeezed orange juice, nothing we had was even close to just ok. Rated the best breakfast in Massachusetts, it definitely lives up to its reputation.
Employees were AWESOME.. Price and good.. NOT SO MUCH
Cool breakfast bar! a local favorite judging by the crowd. Chesapeake Eggs were very good...crab cakes were okay. Love baked beans w/ breakfast:-)
Best breakfast on the Cape. The wait is always worth it.
Delicious! Banana foster French toast. Corned beef hash crepes. Gluten free pancakes.
Really nice restaurant. Think great American diner but with no aluminum siding. We walked in on Mother's Day, of all days, and the dining area was packed (!) We thought "this'll take forever" but waitress Sue, breezed over to our table, took our order, and the food was back in a flash. The three cooks (each must have 12 arms) work behind the counter moving in a blur to prep breakfast/lunch orders. Eggs, pancakes, salads, and lobstah rolls to die for are all on theur hefty menu. During the summer the wait to get a table can be staggering with an hour or two not unusual but regulars swear it's worth it and our experience backs that up. They have an active take out business, too. Oh and did I mention they have a gift shop in the back! Cool little place. Great food. Ask for Sue arguably the best waitress on the Cape.
Good food. Good service, good prices. Extremely busy, so expect a few min wait in the winter. Probably a lot longer In The summer. My only issue, is the bar seating isn't comfortable and your to close to the person next to you. I'd wait for a table.
Fabulous place. They are only doing breakfast and kunch. Right now. Closes at 2
Omg the best hazelnut crepes and cottage home fries with Hollandaise!!!
Great food.
The food is fantastic here. Be ready for waits, but the wait is worth it.
Great for breakfast, but go early it gets crowded. Fresh ingredients. Great menu and superb service. Limited parking.
This place is amazing... the best breakfast EVER... definitely a place to visit... the serves was great... we had a big group 3 adults and 4 kids and the waiter was nice to everyone listened to every thing the kids wanted...
Good portions, good service, decent menu. Overall definitely worth the stop if you are in the area. Food arrived quickly considering how busy they were when we arrived
This is my 3rd visit... the food is OUTSTANDING!! Service is PHENOMENAL Each and every time I have been there… I wish there was a place like this in Connecticut… This place is amazing and I cannot wait to come back… There is usually a long wait but it’s well worth it for sure
Food was awesome. The ower was down to earth. Great place to dine in. Friendly environment. Great prices. Very clean...
Super as usual. ..waitress very attentive had 8 and they split us between 2 tables nt to each other
Huge menu selection, gluten friendly accommodations including waffles and French toast. Great wait staff who kept the coffee coming
We arrived before afternoon closing and were cheerfully greeted. Among the three of us, we enjoyed delicious corned beef hash and eggs, yummy raisin toast, a filling vegan omelette, and french toast. Looking forward to our next visit!
We came here on the recommendation of some friends and it surpassed all our expectations! Chowder was fantastic, crab cakes were perfect, and the home fries were spectacular! Go here!
Great breakfast. Try the Red Cottage fries!
Lobster Benny is as good as advertised!! Loads of knuckle and claw meat with a traditional poached eggs and hollandaise on an English muffin.
OMG! Saddle up for a breakfast to remember. Crepes, biscuits & gravy, hash, scram. eggs were most excellent. Will be back next time for lunch. Killer menu will not dissapoint. Be prepared to wait depending on size of party and how late it is. Goes fast. Sue took good care of us and was very attentive. Tight seating and chatty noise level but could still have conversation and did not take away from the experience but rather enhanced it
This place takes you back in time a bit. Line cooks, cozy but bustling atmosphere. On every place setting was a self-published journal/newsletter, the kind of thing people used to make before the digital age, that's fun to read for kids and adults alike. They seem to care about delivering good value, and they do. All the food was great, best Eggs Benedict I've had in a while (they have multiple Benedicts).
Literally the most amazing breakfast I've ever had
It's the best of the best on the Ca
This place is one of my favorite spots not only on the cape, but IN THE WORLD! The food is so delicious it’s hard to describe how happy it makes me!! My friends and I sit at the counter and watch the cooks and it’s so much fun! The new crepes on the menu are DELICIOUS! I recommend getting them to share along with your meal! Honestly I can’t even recommend one thing because EVERYTHING IS PERFECTION! I give this place two thumbs up, a bend, a snap and a twirl! Lol
Amazing menu. Apple crepes were the best I ever ate. Lobster Benedict was loaded with lobster. Great food and great prices.can't wait to go back.
First time there. Will definately go back! Delicious!
Great food. Busy, but got in pretty quickly.
Great Breakfast place!! Great staff, very friendly!! A must try! You will have to wait however, its worth the wait!
Great breakfast. Small but quick service. Plenty to eat for a good price. Cash only.
