The Reading restaurant is so good we are waiting for the new restaurant to open on Rt. 1 Saugus MA. The best Chinese we have ever tasted. The food is fresh, unique, with many familiar plates. Must try!

I love this spot and the people are so kind , I just have to recommend to please don’t add wasabi or any tipe of wasabi sauce in the sushi or sashimi without asking first. Some people like me don’t like wasabi . You guys should put it on the menu And let people know so we can choose if we want wasabi or not

I go there often , their food is the freshest around.! My girl loves the rice. And the sushi is delishious, they have various unique dishes that is offered , that other tradition al Chinese resturants dont offer. The place is fancy .clean and the staff are really professional people who look like they live to serve the best in town we love it there. And are returning again soon. It's also very reasonable prices. It's a 10 star if you ask me. Go check it out. !

I agree some portions were noticeably cut and staff is rude, unaccommodating and the manager on duty (Twain) (Twon) argued at our table with my 15 year old, because they messed up and brought the wrong dish,,,Foutain soda taste like dirty water (Yet we were still charged) and I keep seeing reviews mentioning the same thing about tasting dirty,,,, The owners should be ashamed of themselves allowing this to happen... It's never ok to argue with a guest especially a kid,,,, no respect!! Reporting to the Town and BBB this morning .... BEWARE AND PAY ATTENTION TO THE REVIEWS!

The service was super slow, the food was not particularly good. It felt like a restaurant more interested in looking like a cool hangout instead of being a good restaurant. Two positives: The manager on duty must have sensed our displeasure, he came over to talk to us and was VERY polite and took one of our meals off the bill. And the bar seemed like a fun bar.

Loved oyes up until 6/28, I have a aberchiet rewards card from Toyota Wich oyes is apart of (8 dollars off of 45 spent) I keep all my rewards cards on my key ring app on my phone Wich they honor all the time, as I was a loyal oyes patron until one night, 6/28 the waiter was not familiar with the reward program and then a lady came over claiming to be the owner and would not honor the discount, and literally put her finger inches from my face with my wife and daughter right there and told me to pay and get out causing a scene. I've never been so insulted in my life! She was absolutely crazy! Needless to say I will never be going back there again.

Equally nice at the bar or dining room. Modern places like this typically don't have good beer on tap selection or a raw bar with cherrystones, but this is an exception. Have a nice appetizer or dinner, and a sake or switchback,listen to some jazz and enjoy.

Great atmosphere!…..I was there for the first time a month ago with a couple of friends, we had a great time, loved the drinks and the food. Our bartender Ricardo was very professional, always checking if we needed anything else, he gave us great service. I recommended this place to my co-workers and been going there with a group every week since then.

BAD customer service they forgot some of my order in the delivery that I even paid for and wouldn't give me the money back and argued with me saying that I didn't even order it to begin with which I did! and to top it off I had ROTTED avocados in my sushi roll!! Used to love this place it has gone down hill

Horrible place, I placed an order for delivery, they charged my card and never delivered the food.when I called to ask about my food they said the kitchen is closed and to call in the morning for a refund. I ordered 180 worth of food never again, and I better get my money back for food that I never got and waited to over an hour for and never got it

Got take out last night. Rice smelled and tasted like a dirty dish rag. Inedible. The chicken dish smelled and tasted like fish. They obviously didn't clean the wok between dishes. Very disappointing. Overpriced and couldn't eat a thing.

By far the best sushi I've had in Reading and the surrounding towns. I've tried most of them, and Oye's consistently comes out on top. Plus the service is fantastic, with terrific live music to boot.

I've been going here since they opened and the past few times I've been very disappointed. Keep giving them the benefit of the doubt. Last night the spicy tuna appetizer was dry and very little tuna, not spicy at all, the special sexy scallop which waitress said was spicy was not spicy and was bland, spicy edamame was just ok, the lobster mango was good as always, also when 3 out of 4 of us opened our napkins they were dirty, it was like they were folded after taking them off someone else's table. I feel that since they have expanded they have let this location go down hill.

Great service and quality at 6:00pm on a Monday evening. It's dead empty in here except for 6 or 7 parties. Definitely recommend for dinner during the week but come when their dine-in is less than halfway full, when they're busy they are kind of slow. All around great quality when Clem said "Can you smell that? Ooooohhhhh caaannnnn dooooooo, they're coming back!!! Isn't it? Isn't it? Isn't it? I can smell it.".

Food was so-so, as expected from an Americanized Asian fusion restaurant. There was an entire separate gluten-free menu, which was really awesome for my friend with celiac disease. Service was okay; waitress was polite, but inattentive, although to be fair, she seemed to be all over the place doing different things in both the front and back of the restaurant. If you're not looking for anything particulary authentic, this is good place for grabbing a non-fastfood bite to eat late at night.

Name should be Oy Vey! Parking lot too small. Bug traps visible in corner. Ran out of glasses and was given drinks in plastic kiddie cups. Soup was cold, DJ music being played too loud. The food was pretty good.

Food was good but service was T E R R I B L E!!! Had my husbands birthday here, 12 People total. Waiter took forever to order our drinks. Once ordered they came quick but he would never check if we needed more. I took the liberty to take everyone’s order to make things easier. Waiter took ALL orders from me at once and we only got had of our order. Yes, we were missing half of our order. The food we did get came about 5 or so minutes apart from eahcorher. So frustrating. We missed most of our sides: rice, chicken wings, chicken fingers and scallion pancakes. I am sorry, they ran out of the pancakes. Yet we were billed for it. When I told the waiter about our missing food... He said sorry, he had missed the order :/ then asked if we really still wanted it. Guess not but thanks anyway. I guess I won’t be trying this place again. I was quite embarrassed by the issues. If service doesn’t matter to you, by all means, try them out.

I've eaten at this place a couple times now and they never disappoint. I usually get sashimi when I go out for sushi and this place has one of the better spreads around. It's fresh and the portions are much better than a lot of other places on the North Shore. They have a nice selection of Maki rolls and a solid cocktail menu. Great spot!

Coming in to Oye's Chinese Restaurant and bar, we were first greeted with a small koi puddle with waterfall in the entry way and a host stand that looked pretty grand, from what I remembered, on the left is a long bar that was stocked with TV's showing the game and on the right was a nice restaurant. They had pretty elegant decor, nice table setting (appetizer plate, knife, fork, folded cloth napkin, and disposable chopsticks, which to me seemed out of place when everything else was nicely done), good ambiance with low lighting, and the place looked clean and modern. There's a nice life-sized statue of one of the terra cotta army guys. My girlfriend and I got a table and sat down. The place was mostly filled on a Friday night, which was a good sign. A cleanly dressed server dropped off our menus. Another server came and asked us if we wanted any drinks. He actually startled me with how abrupt he was. I asked for water first and he quickly grabbed the drink menus from us. I don't think he realized we hadn't looked at it yet. Our first server brought our waters back with a large smile. I asked her if we could get the drink menu back to which she happily brought it back to us. I ordered the sizzling seafood platter with rice and some unagi sushi. My date ordered Vegetable chow foon and tomago sushi and a seaweed salad. The seaweed salad was good it had some red fish roe used for plating aesthetic, this would normally be fine but my date is a vegetarian. The unagi sushi was delicious! The tomago sushi, according to my date, was pretty good as well. Next, came our main courses, her noodles were good, nice crunchy stir-fried vegetables. My "sizzling" seafood platter, I regret, was not sizzling. I believed it was cooked and transferred to a cold cast iron plate. This was slightly disappointing, but the taste and flavor of the dish was delicious! There were large chucks of scallops and large shrimp with tails on, calamari, and snow peas, carrots, baby corn in a tasty brown sauce. I ate it happily. Overall, I think the bill came to around 50 dollars, my date had a glass of wine as well, so it was pretty reasonable pricing for the ambiance of the place. If the sizzling platter was actually sizzling and the abrupt server didn't take away our drinks menus so hastily I would have given them all five stars. Cheers!

You know what they say, you get what you pay for. At Oye's you are definitely paying of the atmosphere and English speaking staff. The food is average and fairly pricey. Maybe I'm still judging by Texas standards. On the plus side, they have plenty of room and it's in a easy location off the highway with plenty of parking.

Excellent sushi and attentive service. We ordered the spicy edamame for an appetizer and it was delicious and the edamame was perfectly cooked, firm and popped right out of the pods. The sashimi red snapper, white tuna and salmon were tender and tasty. The kiss of the dragon roll and another spicy roll were delicious too. The sushi pizza is always good! Our waiter was very friendly and checked on us whenever he noticed a drink getting low and to ensure everything was to our liking.
