Some of the best pizza I've ever had. Extensive menu and I can say with confidence that I've never had a bad meal here. This is a place that my family and I adore. Staff is super friendly and it's also a great option for games and date night at the bar. I love Ladd's...thankful we have such a great place close by. It's due for some updating which is why I can't give 5 stars, but otherwise...a great place.

Ladds is a pretty good place for family's dinners. The have $10 dinner specials as well as a full menu with a lot of variety. Wait staff is excellent. And the brick oven PIZZA is the greatest.

It was a horrible experience from beginning to end. We had reservations so we sat at a table right away. First the waitress brought over water for everyone at the table which was nice except for the fact that all of the water had things floating around inside. So then she brought over new water but it had the same problem. Then we waited for close to an hour and a half for our food to arrive which is a very long time. the food was just okay.

I lived in Rutland growing up. Haven't been back in years ever since I got married and moved. Decided to meet up with a friend I haven't seen in a while. My wife and i brought my 15 month old daughter who is normally very good in restaurant settings. We were greeted at the door and the women seating us didnt acknowledge for us to follow her after we told her our party size. She proceeded to give us a hand gesture to come sit so we did. Greated by our waiter and placed a few app orders as well as our food orders. Pizza was very good when it came out. Asked waiter to expedite my daughters chicken tender orders as she was starting to get a bit restless. Long story short, my wife ended up having to leave the restaurant to put our daughter to bed after having waited just under 2 hours until our food arrived. Food was good, but wait was far too long.

My girlfriend's family brings us here all the time and we love it. I wasn't a huge fan of their nachos, but any French or American staples are a safe pick. Their spinach and artichoke dip and prime rib au jus are PHENOMENAL. Pizza is great too, although they sometimes take a while to bring yours out if you're stopping there to pick up.

first off we ordered an appetizer that never even came. we waited for our food for 1 hour and 10 minutes. the steaks were cold and the pasta was gross. it’s not even worth coming here honestly. we waited 25 minutes just to get a waiter and we also had about 5 different people serving us, could they not just give us one and make us happy?

My wife & I were meeting someone and chose Ladds as it was a half-way point and when I drive by there are often quite a few cars..Well most of the cars belong those going to the bar. Ladds has been around for a long time... so we met there for a late lunch ( not there are many places to choose from). The few dining patrons looked like they were on nursing home day pass. Well what is really important, the food, Prices are steep, much more than I anticipated. . $$$ range, many over $17.99, Being lunch we were going towards the sandwiches, price range $7.99-12.95. I was heading toward a burger when one of the others order the fried chicken dinner $11.99. Sounded good to me. The dinner came with mashed potatoes (bland) and asparagus (wonderful, fresh, perfectly cooked). But we had to send the dishes back as the chicken was burnt . Our waitress was very nice and professional, She returned w/ 2 new chicken meals. It looked the same as the 1st time. I think the problem was the fryer oil had not been changed in a long time. When I found feathers had not been from the wing I lost my desire to eat. And the chicken appeared frozen type and was awful all away around . My wife had the French Onion Soup. Very disappointing , Aside of being very salty, it also appeared burnt or very, very old. She did not eat her soup nor anything else. But we had coffee and a nice visit, Ladds was not a place I could refer anyone to...and it is a shame as it could be a gold mine if they put any effort into it, Sorry Ladds.

My aunt and uncle have been going here for years. So tonight they invited me along. Great family restaurant the food was excellent and reasonably priced, the wait staff was awesome, we had a great time. Highly recommend if you're in the Rutland, Ma area or heading from Worcester, Ma to Barre, Ma.

Wish half stars could be left. Lots of offerings. Most food is decent to pretty good. Prices are reasonable. It's sort of half and half, bar part has about 6 TVs more updated. Dining room looks like it's been years since updated/renovated

I have not eaten here but it has to be 5 stars. Everytime I drive pass during the weekend around dinner time the parking lot is filled. If it's a packed house the food has to be good. Either that or they are having a fight club.

Great waitress and varity of menu options. whether you are in the mood for Steak, Seafood or pizza, salad, appetizers or just sitting at a bar there is something for everyone. We had a very nice waitress very attentive with a good personality which made our evening very enjoyable. My husband got an unusual dish called Brazilian chicken which was served with bananas, oranges and pineapple and he said it was very tasty and came with two sides he chose the potato, brussel sprouts and it also came with soup or Salad. I got the gluten free pizza in which they make their own crust so it wasn't the standard Udi's Pizza that you get it so many restaurants it was very tasty and more than enough for one person to have some left over for lunch the next day. My husband had the cheesecake with fresh strawberries and a little bit of whipped cream made it extra special.

Just had worst bar service I've ever had. Sat a bar for a few beers and a pizza. During 1 1/2 - 2 hours there was asked one time if I needed anything. I had to ask for service. Barmaids, one in particular, spent more time talking to customers than working the bar. I understand that bar staff has to talk to customers but they don't have to be over extended at the sake of other customers. Very disappointed. Did not leave a tip.

Small, quiet restaurant. A favorite of the locals ( went for a Thursday dinner and a good number of booths filled). Many menu choices. Husband loved the prime rib, and he's picky! A little out of the way for tourists, but worth it when in the Wachusett area.

So disappointed I had to wait a day to post this. My husband & I went to Ladds yesterday about 4:45 & left about 6pm after finally being asked if WE WERE READY TO ORDER. Now, it was busy in the lounge-always is. And, they were short staffed-always are. Our waitress delivered our drink order & that was it. Guests around us were getting some level of service, orders taken, drinks delivered, even if it took some time. We were ignored. Tried to make eye contact, set our menu aside to order - our waitress looked away. Then, when she was ready she preferred to argue & she was quite rude. The manager paid for the beer, but unfortunately the bad service was lost on the manager's attempt at good will. We didn't want the "free" beer, it wasn't the point.

I am a beef eater! Always get the filet or prime rib. I have never been disappointed, always delicious! Last weekend went to the edge and ordered the $10 turkey dinner.. it was phenomenal! Very disappointed when I went for my left overs only to realize I had eaten most of it, already! Kudos!

Went with a group of friends. Had the Shepherd's Pie. It was delicious. It was a Saturday night, and the place was slammed, but the atmosphere is fantastic. Very warm and inviting. Would certainly recommend.

My husband took me here for our very first date 7 years ago. It was his favorite place. A couple years ago service went down hill so we stopped going. When the anniversary of our first date came up we decided to give them another chance. We were not disappointed. We were treated very well and were greeted imediately when we walked in "hi there! Someone will be right with you". Much better than being ignored a few years ago. The food was as good as ever and the drinks were good. I'm glad we decided to give them another chance.

Visiting family from the Boston area, and ordered some to-go pizza's. The pizzas were delicious. The place was packed and had a great vibe of locals/regulars. Next time I visit I will definitely take the family to a sit-down dinner there.

We have been going here for over 6 years. Recently the hostess and woman that answeres the phone (possibly the same person) has been incredibly rude. She treats you like your business is an inconvenience. How dare I call for take out when you're busy. There's also times when they never even answer the phone. Unfortunately we won't be going back anytime soon. The wait staff and the food is fantastic if you can get past the hostess.

This is a casual family restaurant that offers a versital menu, with competitive pricing. Their food is consistent with efficent staff and minimal waiting. Reservations are recommended for a large party. It has a bar area which can accommodate a large number of people and has several high top tables, keno and sports on tv. Usually it is crowded, (loud) and fun. This is a well known popular establishment. Parking is ample and it beats waiting 45 minutes for dinner in the city... Great to support family owned & operated town businesses.

Was extremely busy and loud. Food was fair, nothing special. You could tell it came from an overwhelmed kitchen. Our waiter was a nice guy but obviously stressing out about how busy it was and that got in the way of him doing his job. I have eaten at Ladds many times and usually have a good experience. Tonight was not one of those nights. I would suggest not going during peak hours.

This restaurant has literally been here for about 100 years. I know someone that worked here in the depression(1930's). Decor is dated but well maintained. Seating is close. Staff was very prompt and pleasant. The menu is large. Prices were average (but did not reflect the same on the bill). Most entrees come with soup or salad. The shrimp scampi contained 6 jumbo shrimp. There was too much oil and the pasta was virtually non existent. All things considered the shrimp made it work it. The blacked chicken Alfredo was huge. Not as spicy as I would have liked but very good meal. The peanut butter pie was also large. The brownie Sunday contained a rather thin brownie but the ice cream and whip cream made it a meal.

We recently ate at Ladd's and enjoyed our meal immensely. Salad ingredients were fresh as was the side vegetables. The salmon and haddock were nicely broiled and flavorful. We do-not make trips to this side of Rutland often but we will have to make a point of visiting Ladd's more often.

I'm a vegetarian so I've only had a few of the items on Ladds menu. But...what I have ordered has been fantastic. The eggplant parm is one of my favorite eggplant parms from ANY restaurant. The sauce is delicious and the eggplant thin and authentic Italian. The pizza is great...maybe a touch heavy on the cornmeal on the bottom but other than that it's tasty and very high quality.

We went after doing a nearby race so they were busier than usual and understaffed, but you wouldn't know it by the service we received. Our server, Christina, was the only one covering the entire dining room and she was attentive and cheerful despite the circumstances. The food was good, the value was great ($10 burgers and sandwiches) and the service was exceptional. We were very impressed!!

2nd time we have waited over an hour for a pizza and then get served the wrong order. When my wife complained to the manager her response was "oh your pizza is in a box on the oven -we thought it was take out". Then proceeded to tell my wife not to get upset cause she could fix this -followed by a muttered "Jesus"! Ladd's is off the list for us!
