I don't know what I was expecting. I've heard this is the go-to Chinese restaurant in this area, and while the food was arrived quickly and was hot and tasty it wasn't out of this world amazing. It's basic Americanized Chinese food. It's nothing special. The facade and the interior design are worth checking out. Maybe I'm just having a "get off my lawn" moment but I just found the place dark, noisy, and overwhelming for my afternoon visit. It was way too bright outside and far too dark inside.

The food is good, their spicy shrimp and calamari is delicious! It's a high traffic restaurant, the only thing would be to not get rushed to eat and clear up (only reason I take 1 star away)customers should be able to properly enjoy their meal & drinks !

We went to the outdoor tiki bar and no one asked us if we wanted any food for over 15 minutes and when we asked for the check for one drink we got, "sorry we were busy doing something" when people were just standing around and the place wasnt even half full. Do not recommend. We took our business elsewhere

I've been here 3-4 times, each time with a large party. The service is very disorganized and curt. A person from my party was ordering and the waiter walked away before she was even done. The food is decent for Asian cuisine albeit rather salty. There are a few dishes that are stand out but overall, their menu is your average Asian America fusion. A lot of the dishes ended up tasting very similar despite the varying descriptions.

Service was fantastic. Food was okay. We got the platter beef teriyaki. Most of it was okay but the beef was dry. The ribs were fantastic! We also ordered pork fried rice which needed soy sauce as the flavor was lacking. Pork strips were just awful though. It was sliced pork loin that was just dry and bland. We didn't take it home. I ordered a special sushi roll that was actually really great. If we were closer I'd go back. But I'd order off the actual dinner menu. The standard appetizers we usually get are just average and some below average. They seem to really shine in service and atmosphere. Which are amazing here.

The sesame tofu was fantastic! Well seasoned and not overly saucey. The fried rice was also good. I like the entrance to the building, too. It has an unusual and interesting look.

Awesome experience. Great place to bring friends from out of town. Roy our waiter gave us top notch service. Our waters were never empty and our table was always cleared of finished dishes. A+

I was in Mass for work and the hotel said the best place to catch the game was down at Kowloon. Did not disappoint!! The drinks were cheap and strong, they had both games on around the bar and the food was hot and fresh. The staff makes you feel like an old friend. I'll definitely be going back. (Make sure you tip my guys Mike-Mike and Sheldon well!)

Couldnt help but feel profiled. As the females kept looking in the direction of me and my family. As if we were going to skip out on the bill or something. I was not given the opportunity to choose my seating. We were seated up front to keep close eyes on us. I wanted to leave but did not want to kill the mood for my family. Food was not hot. Not even warm more like room temperature. Definitely will not return. There also was a fly buzzing around which usually mean something is spilling or trash been sitting. City of Saugus you can keep this restaurant all to yourself.

My sister and I took our mom here for Easter dinner, I just want to say we had an amazing time!!! We had our picture taken with the Easter Bunny, which was fantastic!!!! The food was perfect, our waiter was very attentive and accommodating, I’m glad to celebrate Easter at the Kowloon!!!

After traveling almost an hour for special occasion were seated at the take out area, very noisy. Chicken fingers were terrific. Everything else tasted like vinegar and salt. Was always a great fun place. Won't hurry back.

My son loves Kowloon ... honestly I think it’s the staff. We usually try to sit in Mikes section. He’s funny and keeps us laughing the whole time. The food is good too but Mike is great !

Went for lunch on a Tuesday and the service was quick. The food was very, very good! The spare ribs were amazing. The "small" order of fries rice was huge! We had sushi, a meal and a scorpion bowl for $85 which is very reasonable! Will be back for sure!!

We were visiting Boston to help our daughter move. It was a long day, so we ordered take out from Kowloon which had good reviews. Didn't get any rice with our entree, didn't get any crispy noodles with the hot and sour soup. Got plates and knife/fork, but no spoon or bowl for the soup after asking. Ordered pork with entree, but got beef (although did say no broccoli and that was honored).) Restaurant was busy and seemed to seat thousands, so I guess just is not into take out. Won't go back.

Greeted with smiles and pleasantries. Owners and staff couldn't have been any more polite and accommodating. Great service and enormous amount of delicious food. My friends and I used to be regulars before I moved away. Well, now I'm back and I'm sure I'll become a regular again. My son and I have been there twice within the last 2 weeks and now he's hooked! Nothing has changed during my time living out of state, except that the restaurant has expanded. Just when you think that it couldn't get any better.....

Food seems okay. Their menu is very big. Which made me wonder about the quality of the food. I had some makimono which was average. Indoor is nice and dark which is nice during summer time.

When you think of an amazing Chinese Cuisine menu, a long-standing traditional pilgrimage from anywhere in MA. The venue itself is also fabulous in its own right and the food is traditional and done right - that is New England Style Polynesian (drinks), Cantonese, Szechuan, Hunan, Mandarin.

This is a real fast food. I ordered an appetizer which came out in less than a minute. Food was truly disgusting and pre made. People are not friendly at all.

Always leave satisfied. They have the best Chicken Fingers anywhere! Drinks are good. I love the Bar where you can still get the full menu and watch a game or play some keno. Great service and friendly staff.

I hate 2 say this but I usually base a meal on how the spareribs are. I got one of the make ur own luncheon special. Made up of the ribs, egg roll, chow mein and egg foo yong. Everything was great except the ribs. Way way overcooked. Couldn't even eat them. Threw them away. Going forward I will ask that the ribs not b overdone. Fool me once etc.

Predictable, industrialized fare. Not sure anybody actually comes here for the food, as it is worth the trip for the experience alone. Food struck me as the same as anywhere else.Nothing impressive. Staff was accommodating in a very programmed way. Worth a first trip.

Went for a friend's surprise birthday party this had to be the worst Chinese I've ever had bar none it was so dried out and tasteless. Which was dissapointing because I've eaten here since the 1970s! So don't have your party's there at all

An awesome setting to say the least! The atmosphere is straight out of a 1950's Polynesian restaurant. The place is huge!! Even though it was packed the night we went, our party of six had no issue getting a table. Our mixed "island" cocktails were delicious! So many choices to pick from. The one and only drawback from my entire Kowloon experience was the food. As good as it looked and was prepared, it was very bland. Both my soup and main course we good, just not very flavorful. Even the other members of our party said the same. It was a bit of a disappointment. I will say however, that I would definitely give Kowloon Restaurant another chance as everything else about the evening was wonderful!

Hadn't been there in years not as good as it used to be. I guess I don't need ever go there again. The other thing I couldn't stand was from the minute we sat down to the minute we left disco music playing over the radio is speakers. This is a Polynesian restaurant why do we play Disco. We used to love this place but we will never go back again

Ordered a Barrelito drink which was good. Saugus wings were very good. Thai rice was good enough. The chicken broccoli was very plain, only took too bites of it and the worst part was our waiter who practically rushed us to leave. I was expecting alot more but, instead it was disappointing.

Really good Asian food. Me and my friends used to go there all the time for the PuPu Platter and Crab Rangoons! The bar area is decent and the restaurant in the back is enormous! The bands plays a lot of fun songs and are always trying to engage ppl to dance with them!

I've eaten here my whole life, but it has seriously gone down hill. The pork fried rice is made in a big vat for the day and by the evening, it shows. The prices have gotten very high too. Food is just mediocre now.
