Wow!! This place is awesome! This was some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had. The restaurant was clean and the waitstaff was friendly and attentive (all during an extremely busy Saturday night). Every single thing we got to eat and drink was phenomenal! I can’t say neigh good things!!

This is one of the few BBQ-focused restaurants in the area, and it is also my favorite. The ribs, pulled pork, fried chicken, burnt ends, and dessert options are all excellent. The combo plates are a good deal, and their brunch buffet is very good if you are looking for a "meal of the day" as they have brunch and dessert options alongside their regular BBQ offerings. Their sauce selection is great (I like Beezlebar) and they have a hot sauce wall for brave souls. On the other hand, the grilled chicken can be a bit burnt and dry, and we have been there on a few "off nights" where the quality doesn't seem to be at its best. These are pretty rare though!

Great place for BBQ. Different kind of cuts, get the BBQ pork ribs with the memphis sauce. The pork ribs cut into individual ribs which makes it easy to eat. We also tried the appetisers which was recommend by the server, the glazed bacon was delicious. The service was great too, they keep checking on us asking whether everything is good. Went there with my girlfriend and nephews had an awesome bill cannot express how great this place is What I think good barbecue was, it was good barbecue. But this place is lip-smacking great BBQ. Out of the few barbecue places I go to throughout the year this one took the cake the best barbecue I've ever had and that is no lie. I don't know if it was the owner or the manager he is Hands-On he make sure everybody is happy place is clean. I suggest everybody get the burnt ends for appetizers it is the best appetizers I've eaten in the longest time and I am 45 years old The only bad it takes 45 minutes to get here from my house but I still say 100% worth it Keep up the good work I would love to see a a location close 2 me.

Loved everything about my first visit. I was excited for the burnt ends appetizer and was not disappointed, crispy, but somehow tender and moist - had to fight my kids for the last piece. The cajun shrimp po' boy was huge and the shrimp were perfectly seasoned. Ribs were the best I've had outside of the south. And the 3 meat combo presented more food than I could finish (great cornbread and roasted corn too).

Me and my wife got married yesterday and wanted to go to a nice place, so we picked fireflies. They were simply PERFECT! The food was AMAZING, everybody was polite, good ATTITUDE & very knowledgeable about everything on the menu, a very nice gentleman came to me & my wifes table and found out me and my wife just recently got married and he gave us dessert on the house. I will be definitely coming back because I had a very perfect and amazing time there., thanks so much #FIREFLY'S. HAD AN AMAZING TIME!!!

Firefly’s is always a culinary adventure; and one that I look forward to. We had not been to the restaurant in a couple years, due to Life’s business; but had recently moved to Marlborough, so a visit was inevitable. Of course we picked the busiest time on a Saturday evening to arrive; so a wait was also inevitable(always a sign of an popular establishment). Queing up here reminds me of a wait at Disney, short term pain with a reward at the end of it. As remembered, the Service, Food and Beverages were outstanding; and We were planning our next visit mid-meal(a litmus test for an excellent dining experience). The new-to-us highlights were the valet parking, the candied maple bacon appetizer an the outside dining area. We both had the Texas Beef Ribs, which were tender, savory and succulent. Also, had leftovers for the next day! Another highlight was the owner Steve coming to the table to inquire about our meal. It was an opportunity to briefly reminisce as We had our Daughters high-school graduation meal excellently catered at Fireflys 15 years or so ago. So, from soup to nuts, Fireflys cannot be beat for your bbq cravings; try it, you will not be disappointed.

Really amazing BBQ spot, they have a great sauce selection, between the BBQ for their meats to the hot sauces, from something mild to insane ones. The place look like is always full and they deserve the fame, the meats were awesome and the service is fantastic. Probably going back for the summer and enjoy their meats at the terrace.

I am originally from North Carolina, so southern cooking is very close to my heart! It is very difficult to find decent southern cooking, when you live this far north! To my surprise, Firefly's BBQ is as close to southern cooking as it gets in Worcester County! Not only is the food out of this world but the staff is welcoming and friendly as well as the restaurant is very clean and decorative. Please stop by any time you are in the mood for a friendly environment and some good ole southern cooking! I promise you, you are in for a treat!

Great food at a good price. Showed up fairly early and still had great fresh brisket. Side dishes are delicious and good sized. There is a BBQ self serve bar, and next to it is a wall of hot sauces for people to try, even one in a glass case that requires a waiver before using. Definitely go check it out if you are in the area.

I had high hopes for this place, and I was still pleasantly surprised. Not only is this some of the best meat I've ever eaten, but each and every side dish is incredibly tasty. The vibe is casual and fun, the staff was very friendly and attentive, and the live music was a nice touch. Like any good southern style BBQ place, the meat is obviously taken very seriously, and it completely pays off. I will be going again, if only for those addictive burnt ends!

We were here for the Sunday Easter brunch and everything was fantastic. There was a huge selection of items and everything tasted awesome. I live right up the street from the restaurant so I generally order takeout from here. The Food is always so tasty, hot, and consistent. My personal favorites include the mac & cheese, fried shrimp po boy sandwich, and cucumber salad. There is definitely something for everyone here, so if anyone in your party is a picky eater, you should have no problems. This place is always busy, so it's best to make a reservation or call ahead.

We had low expectations coming in, and we were very pleasantly surprised. We shared the burnt ends appetizer, which we agreed would have been enough for dinner for the two of us. We also sampled the Angel's Envy Whiskey, which was excellent but skimpy. I opted for the pulled pork and my partner had the 2 meat combo, with ribs and southern fried chicken. I had the collard greens and bbq beans and my guy had the mac and cheese and bbq beans. Everything was great! The sauces and condiment bar is a super idea, and all the food was delicious. The cornbread was moist and tender. The food was very slow to come out, but we didn't mind at all. We'll be back!

At last! A BBQ place in New England that is as good as the ones in Texas and Tennessee!!! I travel a fair bit for work, and absolutely love the BBQ when I'm in places like Texas and Nashville, TN. I've been disappointed by most of the BBQ places up here in New England. This place is better than many of the ones I've found in my travels. The ribs, brisket, and "burnt ends" were fabulous, and really loved the sides. The only tricky part is that parking is tight and this place is super popular.

Went for the Sunday brunch, it was quite a spread. Plan on arriving early or plan on waiting as it is very busy. Wide range of BBQ dishes to take in. Food was good and the line moved fairly quickly. Worthy of a return trip.

The food was decent. Drinks were good. I would not recommend this place at a busy time. They did a mediocre job of seating our party in terms of time and putting the party together, despite a reservation made a day in advance. Parking was a nightmare. I will not be back. It stressed me out to the point I nearly walked out. Several others in the party nearly did. Regardless of the validity of why they messed up, I'm not going to spend money to have this sort of experience again. I would not recommend to a friend.

I had burnt ends and the candy lacquered bacon. The burnt ends melted in my mouth, so flavorful and delicious. The bacon had a light crunch and then just melted away. I have been craving good burnt ends for months and these hit the mark. Definitely recommend, the menu has a variety of items which I am sure will please just about everyone.

Hit or miss with this place. The very first time I went, the food was delicious! The BBQ was some of the best I've ever had, and I'm from Texas. The second time I went was with family, and our meals were cold and dry. The third time I've been, the meal was average, but delicious. I don't go frequently, so these could be isolated incidents. Would recommend if you are looking for a BBQ fix

It has been over twenty years since Firefly's BBQ first blazed onto the blossoming Massachusetts barbecue scene. Firefly's, Red Bones, Blue Ribbon and Big Mamou were lone beacons in the culinary void that was Massachusetts southern cooking. In that time many have come and gone but Firefly's primary location off route 20 in Marlboro still remains. Firefly's themselves have opened and closed several locations over the years. The restaurant has indoor and seasonal outdoor seating, a lounge area and regularly hosts local bands. Unfortunately the food is not what it once was. I don't know if it's the steady volume, aging equipment or a kitchen staff that has become complacent but the food just does not have that fresh flavor it once had. On my last two visits the Mac and cheese was greasy and the ribs were over cooked. I miss the days when Firefly's food had the fresh taste off good southern barbecue.

I've been going here for years and I've never had a bad meal. If you aren't sure what you like you should try their Sunday brunch buffet. It has everything that you could possibly imagine. Great breakfast items, BBQ and desserts.

It's been way better. Haven't been in years and the food was just alright. Sat on the patio at a table but because it was dark out and there's bright white lights at each table, all of the bugs we're attracted to them. We asked to move inside and they let us (they knew about the bugs). Server forgot our cornbread but was otherwise nice and attentive. Sangria was nothing to write home about. Too sweet for my taste but it wasn't the worst I've ever had. Food was fine. All in all it was just "meh". Wouldn't go back again.

Update: I spoke to the owner who reached out to me about this issue. He was big enough to admit that they did have an issue with a huge surge of take out orders at that time, but he also said that should not have effected our in restaurant experience. We talked at length about my experience so that he could learn from it and make sure it didn't happen again. The owner truly cared about my feedback and I appreciate that. We will be back! Several years ago we came here for the Father's Day brunch. I loved it and we had the opportunity to return in June of 2019. I was really disappointed. They only had one type of ribs (St Louis) and they were overcooked and low. They ran out and it took them 30 minutes to restock them. This is a rib place! The same was true for many things from the prime rib and turkey to many deserts. The stations were a mess too. I talked to the manager to make him aware of the issues, but he didn't simply said they were aware and working on it. Disappointed. Not sure how they could do this so we'll a few years ago and then do it worse this year.

Spencer was our server. It was our first time at Fireflies and definitely won't be our last. The only "complaint" is parking, but Fireflies offers complementary Valet so you can't really beat that. The food portions were huge for the money, we will probably split a meal next time. The pulled pork, ribs and souther fried chicken were phenomenal! The roasted corn and potato salad reminded me of bbqs as a kid. The chicken tenders and all of the BBQ sauces were delicious and super fun to try! We'll be back! Special thanks to the owner for stopping by our table to introduce himself and welcome us as first-timers! Can't wait to go back and try the pizza!

This place is great, where do I start? First, the service is excellent, the owner treats EVERYONE like they are family. The outside area is perfect for the spring/summer days & nights. The food is so good, couldn’t even finish my plate cause of the generous amount they give you! Go to this place hungry so you can get fully satisfied. Dante’s got redone and sounds great, more room to boogie.

We live over an hour away. But when we want the BEST BBQ around we make the trip to Firefly's. Again we went there this week and we were NOT disappointed. You have to try the Candied Bacon, it is absolutely delicious brined, smoked, bbq, and candied. Yum yum. The burnt ends do not disappoint. Great service. Steve the owner is always walking around making sure everything is going well just like if you were in his own home. If you want bbq then if it's a drive visit here. You will be happy you did

Great restaurant. The food is delicious, and if you don't like something they take it back and give you something else. The waiter we had is amazing she makes conversation with us, and makes sure the food is to our liking. We have had her twice and she is great. The owners are amazing they are so friendly and made sure we were getting the best service. This was me and my husbands second time and the next time we go we are bringing our children. I fully recommend this restaurant.

The ribs were great! It's buffet style. I had fried rice that had a little kick to them and lots of other side dishes. The wait was about 15 minutes ( we had reservations ). And the server was quick and friendly. Came right away 2 minutes after they sat us down. The place is large with plenty of tables and booths. We were there on a Sunday for fathers day. It was packed but, like I said, the wait was only 15 minutes. We will go back there again. Well worth it. Oh and the price was decent. Try the St. Louis boneless ribs. Yummy.

Ok but not great BBQ. First off they sauce everything, which just isn't right. Texas Kreuz sausage was mealy. Collards, mac'n'cheese and pulled pork nachos were very good, spare ribs had nice smoke and texture was spot on
