My son and I are visiting the Boston area for the first time, and this was our first stop for a meal. No regrets at all. The service simply excellent, the staff is always keeping their eyes open to make sure you are being tend to. The food was the cherry on the pie, good portions, good price, and good taste. Definitely recommend it.

First visit to El Potro. Amazing food. Fresh guacamole and salsa. Definitely going back to try everything on the menu. I had chicken Chile rellenos which was very good. My husband had Trio enchiladas, and one had a mole sauce. His favorite. Well worth every bite. I definitely recommend if you want to enjoy Mexican deliciousness!!

Absolutely love this place. Have been 7 or 8 times and always have an amazing meal. The food is authentic Mexican, and is always delicious. As great as the food is, what really gives this place 5 stars is the staff. I genuinely cannot think of a restaurant or bar that I've been to that has such a fun, friendly staff. I always sit at the bar, and have had different bartenders every time, but each of them has always made it a point to initiate a conversation and get to know me. Sales tactic? Maybe. But it legitimately feels genuine. Cannot recommend this place enough.

My favorite place in Chelsea! The food and drinks are amazing. I love the decor and ambiance. My favorite dishes (so far) include: vegetable quesadilla, enchiladas, chicken burrito, the amazing bean dip, fried ice cream, and fajitas. In terms of drinks...I am a margarita lover and often order the passion fruit margarita, house margarita, or skinny margarita. The people that work at El Potro are friendly, happy, attentive, and generally care about the customer experience. I love Estella - she's amazing! The managers walk around the restaurant and check in with customers to ensure that they are enjoying the food and having a positive experience. I highly recommend El Potro - the food, drinks, and experience are truly amazing!

Really good Mexican restaurant with large portions and food that tastes authentic and homemade. The ambience is great with lots of color and cozy. The bar area is good for watching games with the multiple screens and large drink selections. Service was good on both of the occasions that I was there. A nice touch is the chips, salsa and bean dip that they give as you sit down.

Overall great experience! I loved that they served the salsa in a carafe that I could refill as desired. I got the chicken and pork carnitas fajitas. I definitely liked the carnitas better over the chicken but both were good. The service was also very friendly, quick and attentive. Great place for a solo dinner (especially with TVs at every place you turned).

First thing you see when u walk in is warm smiles. Next the entire room is very colorful with wonderful motifs and art work. The menu has plenty, the beers cold and musicians come to your table and play their guitar and sing their little hearts out. :) Complimentary tortilla chips with salsa and bean dip, yummy! Food was fresh and delicious. DIANA our server solely gets 5 stars!! Would have given the restaurant 5 stars but when I was asked if I would like guacamole dip as a garnish with my chips while waiting for our order, I didn't expect an additional $8 charge on our bill.

We had an excellent experience here in spite of a lot of things going wrong (on our end...) The staff was absolutely charming and went above and beyond to take care of our family and young kids. I LOVED the shrimp enchiladas (I think that's what they were called?) Seriously SO good. Definitely recommend!

Usually go to Malden but tried Chelsea so we could sit outside. Never a complaint about the food it's consistently good. But on this occasion there was a thick long black hair in my margarita. They brought me a new one but they did not comp it which in my opinion they should have done. Also my wife asked for another margarita and the waiter (male) said I quote "sure sweetheart" , now while that doesn't necessarily bother us everyone at the table stopped dead when he said it. Not very professional and now a days I think you should be careful what you say as people can be overly sensitive.
