Just had my birthday dinner with my two granddaughters at The Dockside Restaurant in Malden. Had a great dinner steak tips rice and broccoli. For dessert I had one of the best pieces of chocolate cake in my life! Thank you Kaitlyn and Kassandra for a great dinner and great company! Love you both thanks again. Papa chicky!

There are a few reasons I was not impressed with this place. First, my sister in law paid for a function here and the server for our room had no idea how to properly collect money for the drinks or successfully keep running tabs. There was a lot of confusion on their part and it was very disorganized. Second, there was a lot of miscommunication with what we and wasn't allowed for decorations. Lastly, there was a bar fight that was not properly handled causing some of the men in our party to actually intervene to help (because it was involving people who worked there!). I won't be going back.

A large pub on the main strip in Malden this place is good for a drink and a place to watch the game. The service was good and I enjoyed the beer I got; the food on the other hand in a little underwhelming. Nothing was bad but nothing really stood out either. I would come back here to drink and watch a sports game with friends but maybe not dinner.

Every time I come to Malden I go here. This time I was surprised they redesigned the menu to just targeted menu items. Which I think is a great idea. The staff is always friendly and always play keno before i get my seat and right before I leave.

Went with my boyfriend and we got two pastas , Mac and cheese and 2 sodas and the bill was 63. I was charged for every little thing on the plate. I’ve ate at fancier restaurants in Boston with more food choices. This place is definitely not worth it and if you’re looking for a nice sports bar I reccomend Tony’s c’s which bills usually 50 or less.

I recently went to a fancy Italian restaurant in Boston and my meal at the Dockside was MUCH MUCH better. The food was GREAT. Our server was not. Great food though.

Hostess are always friendly and very quick to seat you. Waitress are quick to say hello and make sure to take your drink order and they give you time to review the menu. Dockside is a weekly lunch date with a coworker, so we have tried just about the whole menu. The food is delicious and I have never had to send back or complain. Which I seem to be doing in other place so Dockside gets 2 thumbs up for sure. Chicken see you there Salad is one of the best in Malden. The steak tips are tender and delicious, their weekly specials are a great change and very good as well. My only negative comment would be that it’s always cold inside Dockside and I’m not saying it should be 100 degrees but I don’t want to have freezing hands while I eat. But Dockside is by far the BEST Restaurant in Malden,Ma.

Here it is Sunday 4/23/17 @ Docksidemalden for a Cancer Fund Raiser. Have been coming to this for a few years now and we always sat at the tables at the end of the bar near the rear entrance for the reason there's a big crowd. We'll tonight they put us in a small room that fits 25 people. We have entertainment that takes room and we all can't fit in this small room,so people are left in the bar area & can't see or hear what's going on. Took over an hour for our food as well as others that are here for The same reason. All in all it just didn't work out. Sorry you can't handle " all " fund raiser professionally.

My buddy and I stopped here one night after work. We got buffalo chicken nachos, which are delicious. Then we each had a burger with fries. After that we had like 3 drinks each and dinner was only like 80 or 90 $s. The prices were great, as well as the food and drinks. We're definitely coming back.

Dockside is a typical family Bar and Grill. The food is always decent. There's keno and other games happening everyday. The night we were there there was a man doing a 80s trivia night playing songs that we could guess. It's decent food and always a good time.

I found Dockside to be a really good bar. I went in last night for a beer with a few friends. The atmosphere is super casual, a mix of a townie crowd and young professionals. The food is decent bar food, I liked it and will be back for sure.

I've yet to have a bad experience there, but only been 3 times. Staff is super friendly, and the pizza is delicious. Drinks are top notch as well. It has a sports bar type atmosphere with TVs all over playing the games you want. Large bar area, not too dark, plenty of seating for the times I've been.

This is the first time I have ever taken the time to write a review for a restaurant I didn't like, as it is often not worth the time. However, my family goes here and orders take out very frequently, unfortunately. How this place is still in business, nevermind expanding, is an absolute mystery to me. I can not recall the last time a takeout order from here other than plain chicken fingers came out right - because it simply doesn't happen. While the success rate when dining in is higher (as in not 0%), even a correct order isn't *good.* the fries are often soggy, the vegetables interestingly multicoloured, and the service questionably slow. The only good thing I can say about The Dockside is that it is the friendliest bad experience you will have.

The food came cold, not Prepared correctly, and flat out gross. I have ordered here many times and the food used to be really Good. The last year has gone downhill consistently. I called dockside with my concerns and the girl who answered said it was not her problem and i should talk to the kitchen. She put me on hold for 10 minutes before I hung up. No one ever came back. These people do not care about their customers. It’s no wonder their locations keep closing. Do yourselves a favor and order somewhere else! These guys are not worth it ...

First of all, it is much more of a bar than a restaurant, the name should be changed. There are multiple lotto and arcade games and there is loud music. It was very cold by the window. Should invest in better windows, or turn up the heat. Very unpleasant to have dinner. The food was not warm either and the order was messed up. Not going back.

Used to love this place. Steak tips are still good but the service isn't what it used to be. The last 2 times I've been there I've gotten the same server and was not happy with my service AT ALL. Unfortunately (for me) I refuse to tip less than 20% even if they don't deserve it so the server probably thinks she did a great job.

We sat in the patio and listened to fantastic band! But no waitress EVER CAME OUT. We asked MANY TIMES if we could order food. We were told repeatedly that someone would be right out. After an HOUR we went and ordered drinks at the bar. The bartender was exceedingly rude and dismissive. No tip for rudeness. There was a waitress sitting at a table talking. We decided that when the band is done, we will go to another restaurant that actually waits on customers. And I will go see the band (Stone Foundation) anywhere else!!

I gave 3 stars because it was take out only. We got the Fish & Chips. I thought the coating on the fish was a little to thick. I always think if u can peel of the coating it's not good. The fish was good though. I also thought the onion rings were overcooked.

Its a sports bar with a restaurant menu! The service was great, the food came out fast and the portions were generous and affordable! Totally Award-winning chowder for sure! We ordered the steak tips and the fried fish plate and had plenty left over for take home! The fried fish platter was not greasy at all! Caesar salad was crispy and delicious. It's located in a little Plaza but spacious inside. They have Keno. We just happened to be in the area and Googled local pubs, this came up showing that it was on the water, but it wasn't. We were told that their Boston location is actually on the water. It was enjoyable! We would recommend it if you're in for a quick bite at a sports bar that has a menu with some great tantalizing selections in addition to a variety of hot and cold sandwiches. It's much better than pub food.

Next visit I shall have to ask that my salmon not to be over cooked. It was just a one time thing. I will still recommend their salmon topped with diced tomatoes and spices. It's very good.

Came here as it was the only place with no long wait. Rightfully so as the staff and food was terrible. Ordered a turkey burger with avocado, it was a frozen patty with bread and slices of avocado. No lettuce or tomatoes.... kind of assumed it’d be included or offered by the waitress. The burger was tasteless as I’m sure it sat in the freezer for months... same for my sweet potato fries. Bit into some and they tasted like wet cardboard. Onto the service, waitress walked away as i was mid order to get her pen n pad??? Had to ask for my silverware. Had to ask for my napkins. She was just all over the place and it wasn’t busy. The buffalo cauliflower was good though. But I’d definitely starve another 30 mins before eating here again.

I won’t ever be going to this restaurant. I called the restaurant regarding a rally that was suppose to happen there based off information received. The woman who answered the phone asked what type of rally it was, because someone else had stopped by earlier requesting the same, and I told her it was a President Trump Rally. She goes, a WHAT, a President “Choke” rally? I advised her would not be choking but wondering if there was such rally this early evening. Very rude and obnoxious. Very stupid of her, she should have kept her mouth shut. But just to let her know, he will be a TWO-Term President. Four more years!

I didn’t have a terrible human experience at this restaurant. It was kind of an atmosphere I expected, with the very casual decor and families and whatnot. Wait staff was fine but pretty unexceptional, if somewhat neglectful (what saves this from one star since we didn’t walk out...angry?). But the food was incredibly disappointing. Not cooked poorly or anything, just extremely cheap quality. Ordered a buffalo mac n cheese and it was essentially what you make from the box at the store (not even the top tier stuff—like Kraft mac n cheese), topped with obviously freezer chicken bites in some kind of buffalo-esque sauce. Fine, but super cheap quality. Not a big deal, just not something I would ever return for. But that had followed an appetizer of “poutine.” I get not making your own cheese curds or using your stock French fries, but these were literally cheese fries—some kind of gravy on French fries with shredded cheddar cheese on top. Offer chili cheese fries if that’s what it is. Won’t be returning.
