Stopped in for dinner at the bar but almost the entire wait staff was lined up against the wall watching the tv. I had a question about a menu item but bartender refused to come over. Then asked to be seated at a table, and it was a major ordeal for them. Was put in a remote corner of a near empty room. After a while of waiting for a waitress, I left. So much for service. Too much to go through for mediocre food.

We started eating here when they first opened. Service was, and still is excellent. They're very busy now so plan ahead to get a table. Food is amazing and more authentic than anywhere else I've been in the area. You can't go wrong with anything ordered here. Drinks are a bit expensive, but meal prices are great. Most times you will get "extras" for free brought to your table. Something I very much appreciate.

Great atmosphere and worth a stop. The menu has great selections, something for everyone. The food was delicious and priced reasonably for the big portions. I definitely didn't leave hungry. The service was very good and our food came out quickly even though the place was very crowded. Will definitely stop in again when in the area.

My friend and I were craving Mexican and since Casa Vallarta was the highest rated place around, we were excited to try it. We came around 12 on a Saturday and were seated immediately. Soon after, our waiter asked if we wanted warm chips and salsa. Absolutely! The salsa is prepared fresh and comes in a mini carafe with two smaller bowls so that one may double dip without feeling guilty. The chips were warm and well seasoned. They also provided a warm bean dip and was tasty. I ordered the carnita tacos and the portions here are no joke. My dish came with three tacos, lettuce, guacamole, rice, and black beans. I was so full from eating the chips and salsa that I took 2/3 of my meal home for another day. The rice was a bit oily, but the flavor was good, black beans were topped with a bit of cheese and was good. The guac was awesome! I’m giving three stars because the pico de gallo was a bit gritty, it was almost as if the cilantro wasn’t well washed and there was a bit of grit still left. Also the flavor of the carnitas was great, but the meat was a bit tough. Overall, the food is good and the service is excellent.

The food was great, as usual. This time, however, the service was terrible. Extremely disappointing. We had a reservation, and we were seated promptly. It looks like they've redecorated since the last time we were there. Looks good. Our waiter appeared quickly. But it was all downhill from there. We ordered two appetizers. The guy that makes the guacamole showed up long before our water or our margaritas. We had to ask for more chips. We never got silverware in napkins until we asked. The second appetizer showed up long after the guacamole was gone. We never got appetizer plates. We asked. They never showed up. Most of the main courses showed up together. The last one showed up probably 10 minutes after everything else. Maybe longer. The guests that had been served were trying to be polite. So theirs is was getting cold while the other guests were still waiting for their main course. Dirty dishes piled up at the table. We brought them all together at one end of the table as a hint to the wait staff for somebody to please take the stuff off the table. I myself could hardly move. most of that wasn't cleared until the end of the meal. There were lots of staff running around, and several different people stopped at our table at different points, but there was no coordination and there were lots of things that simply did not get done. It was fairly busy, but it was getting late on a Saturday night. So the place was starting to clear out. And yet the service was still not what it used to be. As for the food, the guacamole that was made at the table was pretty good. Well flavored, but I think the avocados were not ripe enough yet. So the guacamole was a little chewy. The guacamole that came with one of the main courses was much better than the one made at the table. The new interior looks pretty good. But I hope the management is reading these comments, because I will say you very badly need to change the lightbulbs in the dining room. It looks like they replaced all the bulbs with LEDs. But they seem to be LEDs with a high temperature like daylight. So it's that very stark white color. Not a nice soothing warm white color. So I would very strongly recommend that you could throw away all of those bulbs and go back and buy some new LED bulbs with either a 2700 degree or a 3000 degree rating. The lighting that's in there now reminds me of those aggravating headlights that people have these days. Super white daylight terrible. So the good news is the food was still great, with the exception of the guacamole. But the service left a tremendous amount to be desired. Very very disappointing. Our waiter was very nice, don't get me wrong. It's just that we couldn't find him for very long stretches. At one point I thought maybe he'd left for the night because some other wait person came to our table asking if we were ready to order drinks. So coordination is not happening there. This is very disappointing because we really like their food. It's kind of a long drive for us to get there, and until now it's been worth it. If management reads these, please respond. I would like to know what you're thinking. And I wish you the best of luck.

Great place to go for Mexican food. Fun atmosphere, although the service could be a bit better. The food is awesome though. Typical but good chips, the salsa and refried beans that come with the chips are great. THe best part is the fresh guacamole they make at your table. Very good. The regular meals are also very tasty. However, margaritas are tasty but quite expensive compared to other places, maybe because they use better tequila, not sure, but they are good margaritas.

The vibe is very fun and the whole place is beautifully decorated. It definitely has that family-owned feel both in looks and quality of food and service.

Surprisingly good! The bean dip that's comes complimentary with the chips was very good. Good beans too. I got a Macho Burrito and again, being from southern California, this place was so much better than most NE Mexican restaurants. It's not like how it is in Los Angeles but it's perfect for here in Massachusetts. Nice atmosphere, feels authentic, especially with the mariachi music.

Not a bad Mexican place to get your craving. Prices are pretty decent and the waitstaff is friendly. They also have a mariachi band that plays during dinner service and although it is kitschy many appreciate it. Food isn't going to blow you away but for the price it is just fine.

Possibly the BEST Mexican restaurant ever! We were warmly greeted. The place was busy, but we were seated quickly. Soon after being seated Jocelyn out waitress stopped by and got our drink order. She was warm, un rushed and pleasant. She returned with the drinks and explained a couple items on the menu we had questions about. The fajitas were amazing. The tenderness of the steak was only matched by the seasoned delicious chicken. The salsa, guacamole were not just after thoughts. They were amazing. We got coffee and dessert as well. Jocelyn is a true asset to this location. Her warm, personable and beautiful smile made our evening. We will be back for sure.

Free chips, salsa and refried beans to start! I opted for the fajitas which were well portioned and flavorful. They listened and followed through with modifications I requested to my meal. We also got a pitcher of margaritas which equaled 6 drinks. Great date night.

This place is pretty big and has super fast service. The staff is nice, too. The menu is large and includes photos which I really enjoyed. Prices are decent, especially since the portions are really large. They give complimentary chips, salsa, and bean dip. The music was a little loud but that is my only “complaint”, will definitely go again.

The second I was seated my table was presented with tortilla chips, salsa, and bean dip. My party arrived about 90 minutes before close and you would not be able to tell by the flavors and portions we received. The waitstaff is attentive and not overbearing. I was provided with sound advice in my choice of entree and the food was excellent. Please don't pass on this restaurant. I will definitely be back!

This place is hopping! Not surprising as the food was plentiful and really tasty. We went at about 5:30 on a Saturday. It was busy but there was no wait for a table. The staff was very attentive. As soon as we sat down there was warm nachos, salsa and refried beans on the table. A mobile cart came by and made fresh Guac for us. We ordered an Enchalada and Chicken Molé. Margaritas were very good and came in many variations. We had enough food to take some home. Think we found our new go-to place for Mexican.

Sadly it’s one of the very few Mexican options near by. This place’s biggest problem is it’s inconsistency. Service can be anywhere from okay to horrifying. Food can be decent (table side guacamole is pretty good) but often it’s lack luster. I ordered a dish that was supposed to be served in hot stone bowl with meats, seafood and roasted hot peppers and it was stone cold and missing half the ingredients. Not to mention it was one of the most expensive things on the menu so I was pretty upset. The worst part was, I couldn’t get anyone’s attention to solve the problem. We could barely get someone to give us our check. I’ll get take out when I’m desperate for some Mexican that isn’t Chipotle but I definitely won’t be dining here again.

We moved here from Pennsylvania. I wonder if there are any Mexican cooks working at this restaurant. The food was fair for a chain restaurant. However it definitely was not Mexican food. It was bland and the sauce had no taste. The rice was simply boiled rice one could cook at home. I think the black beans came directly out of a can. The saving grace was the waitress and the service she provided. Everyone was pleasant. I think you needed to drink a few margaritas before eating the food. Unfortunately I don't drink. Ed Monkevich

Very good! Can get busy, but seats turn and quick and fast service. The pulled pork and chicken enchilada was really good, great quality meat. Pics on menu for every dish. Some prices are reasonable, some are high ($15.95 for a quesadilla?). Go for an entree for sure, more bang for your buck.

They sat us on a booth with torn seats. There were plenty of other open booths. The Grand Margarita was good but pretty expensive. The chips are usually hot but not in this visit. The service was fast, too fast, almost to the point where it felt like they were trying to drive us out (from a booth with torn seats?!). The food was good as usual. We got chicken tenders and quesadillas for the kids and a Chimichanga Versus for ourselves. Everything was fresh and yummy. We will go back cause we like the food.

This is my mom and my go to place for traditional Mexican food in the area. It is always so good and tasty!! Sometimes they are a little busy. But that is to be expected with such good food. Also great margaritas and other craft cocktails. They have good service too.

Have been coming here with friends after work on occasion for a few years. The drinks are fabulous and big. The food is great (must try the chicken wings) and the bartenders are wonderful. Never had a bad experience. Though it can get pretty loud in the early evening. If you want a quieter experience go a little later in the evening and ask to sit in the front room.

Dinner on a Monday night allowed us to be seated right away. We typically visit on a Friday or Saturday night and there can be a wait. There's plenty of seating and our host gave us a large booth...easily could fit 6 people, possibly 8! Our server promptly brought us a (free) basket of warm tortilla chips,salsa, and a warm dip that looks similar to refried beans with a sprinkling of cotija cheese, diced tomato and cilantro. We ordered the chicken fajita enchilada and the shredded beef enchilada. Each meal came piping hot, served with refried beans, rice, sour cream, guacamole, and lettuce shreds and chopped tomato. Service was prompt ~less than 10 minutes from placing our order to having our delicious meals in front of us. Everything was delicious... we've been here a few times and have never been disappointed. Our only complaint on this visit...very loud serenading of someone celebrating a birthday. We can forgive them... we'll definitely be back!

Food is okay, service is okay. Atmosphere is great. When you check your to go order make sure you have everything before you leave the restraunt. The staff has forgotten a food item on 3 separate visits on my to go orders. Mole is heavy on the peanut butter, I don't like the mole. Casa Vallarta is unfortunately the best Mexican food restaurant I have found in this area.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. The fajitas were excellent and made me feel like I was in Texas again. Service is on point and the food always comes out right away. Complimentary chips, salsa and bean dip come out as soon as you sit down. Atmosphere and decor are traditional and you can tell it's family owned. All and all this is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area and I've been to them all.

One of the best casual authentic Mexican restaurants I've eaten at. Most salsa slinging establishments have lighting fast service, and this place is no exception. Most are typically lower priced for the amount and quality of their dishes, check that box. Actually they wildly under priced considering geographical location. And the staff is incredibly friendly. Usually great. Last night ordered take out supposed to be ready in 20 minutes. Got there 25 minutes later, had to wait another 30 minutes for the food and all we were told is they're packing it up! For 20 minutes!! The food was cold and just NOT good! Won't be in a rush to go back that's for sure!

Celebrated a friend's birthday here. It was lively and fun. The bar was fairly busy, but the bartender was very friendly and attentive. The group shared some appetizers that were decent, but not out of this world.
