Stopped by here before getting sushi next door at Genkiya. They were having $1 oysters and trivia night!!! I can only comment on their oysters, but they are HUGE and delish! Can't go wrong with their dollar oysters, I definitely want to go back for some. Also, their complimentary bread is bomb. Comes with hummus.

Crab cake eggs Benedict for brunch on Sunday. They took pains to cook my egg all the way. Thank you! Waitress and servers who came by were accommodating and attentive which I definitely appreciate! Husband Tim loved his challah French toast stuffed with fig jam and ricotta. I couldn’t really taste either of them that well but it was good! He also loved the potatoes! And that the OJ and strawberries were so fresh! WOW. How did I work and live in Brookline for so long and not know about this spot? Bill Winiker is a friend of mine and plays live music here. Next time I’ll have to come out!

Good comfort food neighborhood diner, with slow service. The food comes out quickly (when you finally get to order) and is generally quite good. The wait staff seem overwhelmed, because they are slow to acknowledge you and take orders. Either go early when it's quiet or bring lots of patience.

This local eaterie offers a full host of epicurian options and a full bar. We have made this our families go-to breakfast and brunch destination. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The food is always top quality with a fantastic mix of delicious twists on comfort foods (you must try the grilled blueberry muffins, and corned beef hash) bistro style favorites and even some pallet pleasing unique creations. Lunch and dinner options are great too. They also have live jazz most weekends. For now, you can always walk in...but I'm sure that's not going to last long. For know, enjoy not having to make a reservation.

We've been here a couple times now and had good experiences both times, but nothing standoutish. Decent service and pretty good food. My wife loves the grilled muffins they have but each time she got one, they came out a little bit different, so there was a lack of consistency. Nothing damming, just an observation.

My husband and I have been to brunch numerous times. Brothers Restaurant has become our new favorite spot here in Brookline. The quality of their food is fantastic and service is spectacular. The chefs walk around and get to know the people dining in the restaurant, so there is a community feeling as well. Bravo!

In Boston for the weekend and decided to stop by for breakfast on our way out. We were told the wait would be 20-25 minutes, but it turned out to be 50. The bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich was decent, but there was barely any egg on the sandwich. I wasn't a huge fan of the hash browns either. I definitely would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I had corn beef hash with eggs benedict, the eggs were cooked perfectly and my friend had chicken kebab with rice & salad. The seasoning right on. I was nervous about corn beef hash would be salty but it wasn't. It was kinda quiet at restaurant maybe it was a holiday. Overall it very positive. I will dine again.

With my wife out of town I stopped in after work ,set down at the bar for a burger and some Wings.I was ever so friendly greeted by a gentleman by the name of antoine who proceeded to serve me with service that would rival the four seasons or the Ritz. When the burger arrived we realized I made a error in which the temperature I ordered the burger and Antoine happily brought it back into the kitchen and served me another one perfectly cooked. Delicious! They also have live music on the weekends, definitely a wonderful family owned and operated restaurant to visit. Oh and by the way Antoine I'll take you up on that shot of tequila next time!

The food was great, as was the service. But they didn't honor our reservation, which we made since we were a larger party (8). We ended up waiting a bit longer than seemed reasonable (about 40 minutes). Once we were seated, the experience was wonderful.

I loved this place for its simplicity and its elegance on the same time. The food was delicious and the band with soft jazz playing in the background was perfect. The atmosphere created was romantically exquisite ,beside the fact that the music was played soft enough that we could talk to each other. What else do you need.

Stay away from the Felafel Humus plate. They serve it with something they call Tzatziki but it's just sweetened yogurt and not the real thing with garlic and cucumber slices in the yogurt. The Felafel is tasteless and the Humus is vile. Others that I ate with had gluten free French Toast and Grilled Cheese Sandwich which they said was okay. And, oh yes, it is overpriced.

Takeout meal of soup and fish tacos was prepared promptly and very good. Fish tacos were a bit pricey but were also generous. Previous experience is that their daily brunch is very good - have taken guests many times.

Everyone rates this place pretty well, but I didn't see it. My smoked salmon omelette was okay, definitely not $15 worth of omelette. My wife liked her stuffed french toast. The waitress would have been more friendly/talkative if we had spoken Spanish, but we didn't, so she said about ten words to us during our time there.

Stopped by Brother's restaurant around 10:00 a.m. and had a pleasant server. My sister and I ordered the Turkey sausage croissant with home fries/ hash browns. The sandwich was quite filling and delectable, but the hash browns had a certain after taste that I didn't care for. Otherwise it was pleasant overall!

Awesome spot. The parking can be a little bit difficult on the street but there are parking lots nearby. Do make a reservation if you do not wish to wait, though the wait time did not seem long. Service was great and quick and the waitress was very pleasant. The food itself was delicious, well plated with hearty portions. Prices are $$. The restaurant has high tables and chairs on one side with a well-stocked bar and regular tables and chairs on the other side.

I had the Corned Beef Hash plate with two dropped eggs. Food was very tasty. Sanitation was marginal. Sticky floors, crumbs, sticky spots on the table, dusty ledges. Cups, plates, and utensils are old and well worn. Waitress was very hospitable and accommodating until check arrived. $19.48..... a little steep but Boston prices, understandable. Only had 20's so I put 2 in the check holder and requested change. Only got back $20....where's my .52 cents? I am a retired Chef and understand the service business implicitly. Waitresses, if you don't have the change, return more than you should, not less.....stealing from a customer is a practice I too often see. Try to be a positive thinker not a negative one....my waitstaff always got better tips because of it!

A group of us were here for breakfast and ordered a variety of omelets. Average price of an omelet is about $14-16. When your order is delivered to your table, be prepared for a HUGE portion! I had the "Green Omelet" which included sautéed broccoli, green & red peppers, red onion, baby spinach, and cheddar. It comes with your choice of toast and fried potatoes. The service was fast and friendly.

Our overall experience was subpar with a 30 minute delay to our reservation, less than attentive staff, and 25% tip included in the check. Made a reservation for a large party (10) on open table. When we arrive the table is not ready and they tell us it will be 10 minutes. It ended up taking 30 minutes, which is fine, but every time we would ask them for an update we would be rudely responded with "5-10 minutes". Once we are seated they only had the table ready for 9 and we needed to grab another chair and silver ware from another table. The waitress then brings glasses for water and has us pass out the glasses ourselves, to then return with a pitcher of water and ask for all the glasses back. All of this is just a minor inconvenience and just seems weird. Finally we order and wait for the food. The food arrives and the waiter (new person) announces each plate and gets upset if someone does not immediately reach to grab for the plate (he makes no effort to place plates or knows where any plate goes, he waits for us to take it from him). The food itself was pretty good and would get 3.5 - 4 stars. When we were finished we asked for a to go box and the check. At the beginning of the meal we were looking at to go menus because they had no other menus for us to look at and the waitress informed us the food options would be different when dining in and cost more because we would be waited on. That's fine, but made it even less unsavory when we get the check and the big surprise of a 25% gratuity was added to the bill. I expect 18% for big parties, 20% at most. It seemed completely inappropriate given our poor dining experience to have 25% added in to our bill. On top of this, they never came back for the check or gave us a to go box and I had to turn the check in and get a to go box myself. With this experience, I am unlikely to return. At most I will order out but don't feel that this place deserves any more of my money.

Great food and cocktails that night but......We arrived earlier with another group and another couple behind us. They served the food of the new arrivals first and we waited more than half hour and the couple behind us got theirs last. They even served our food in another table. Poor service and even asking minimum of 20% tip on your receipt! 15% is not even appropriate.

Oh where to begin.... 1. Waitress was so obsessed with the dog sitting next to us she let him jump all over her and was petting him tons. There’s no way she washed her hands between pets. 2. She messed our order up. She brought two Of the same taco dishes. My friend ordered fish and chips. We also ordered crab cakes for an appetizer that never came. 3. My tacos soggy because they’d been sitting in the sauce of chicken. 4. the waitress then brought my Diet Coke and the crab cakes after we returned our dishes. 5. The waitress then rung our bill up for the wrong order. She wanted me to give her my card before the bill was fixed Hahahaha 6. 20% is the minimum suggested tip on the receipt. Um no. I just hope that dog was vaccinated.

Great little local breakfast and brunch place in Coolidge Corner. Have not been disappointed with my last orders. The service has been great in the past, I’ve been quite a few times and sometimes the staff remembers me and sometimes they don’t. That’s okay, I’m not knocking the place because they don’t remember but when they do I feel like service is better! The main waiter also manages the Instagram so if you want to start conversation, it’s a good place to start (you heard it here first). They have weekend specials and there’s usually some kind of eggs benny in there - do it, get their eggs Benedict. Their hollandaise is homemade is one of the best. They also have these little mini muffins they serve sometimes as a starter, also very yummy.

Brunch disaster. Went in to meet up with friends, yes we had a table of 8, so I'll cut the server some slack. But, with that being said the service was VERY slow. We needed to ask for waters three times. The prices are too high for the quality, which was diner fare at best. So the ambiance was also terrible. It was loud, and for someone reason someone put Michael Jackson on repeat for over an hour? Also the place was infested with parents with infants. Nearly every table had parents with strollers, crying infants and one mom just decided to breastfeed (covered) next to us.

Pretty disappointed. Went today and ordered the chicken and waffle special. The chicken was raw inside and after multiple apologies, they still charged us for the dish that I had to send back and didn't even get replaced, excluding an undercooked waffle that I couldn't eat. They gave me 10% off instead. With such high ratings, we were very surprised at this experience. I do not normally post reviews, but I just wanted to share this experience in hopes of improvement for future guests.

French toast with nutella was very good! My husband got adventurous and tried the ricotta cheese French toast and didnt like it, but also had no idea what ricotta was. He should have picked nutella. Before your meal they bring you adorable mini muffins that were also quite delicious. Very expensive, I believe it was 40 dollars for the two of us at a breakfast. The prices on their website are outdated. French toast is 15 dollars per plate !

Went here tonight based on this place having catered a great lunch at my office a couple months ago. Memorable enough to seek out the tacos from that day. Man listen...disappointing AF. There’s no way the same chefs/cooks that catered that day have anything to do with what was likely the worst food experience I’ve had in a long time. Food was bland and flavorless. And drinks were made by a girl who’d probably never tended bar before. And when it was time to settle the bill she didn’t know how to work the POS. Overall, MASSIVE disappointment.

I have had dinner here once, and lunch twice. Menu selections are many and creative. The staff and chef are wonderful. If you want something that is not on the lunch menu, just ask, and unless it requires a high temp oven, they will make it for you. This is a recent addition to the neighborhood. I know it will do well as people discover it. It is a few blocks past the hub of Coolidge Corner. It is worth walking couple of blocks more to enjoy this place. It is at least as good as Regal Beagle, which is always crowded.

Went in for lunch. The service was excellent, however the quality of the food was poor. I ordered the beets, and arugula salad, which was supposed to have goat cheese, fresh beets and candied walnuts. There were no walnuts, the beets were not fresh and the arugula was wilted. I was quite disappointed.

I was craving a bloody mary and bacon, so I came here with a friend. Immediately felt welcomed and was sat right away. Our server gave us outstanding service and made an excellent bloody mary. I got the basic plus which was well prepared with little to no wait. My friend got a tropical mimosa which she really enjoyed. Overall, I was satisfied and glad we picked this spot for breakfast. Spotless, comfortable, good food, and great service is what gives this place an easy 5 stars. I'd recommend this place because its only 8 minutes from the T and it's truly a good spot to eat and get drinks.

Awesome jazz music with a great dinner. I loved the neighborhood atmosphere, opportunities for a few special guests to use their talents and sing with the band. Arugula and beet salad was good, steak a bit less than ideal, service could be better. But I definitely will be back on a Saturday or Sunday night for the Jazz.

They play some 50s through 80s music I suppose to attract the 40 to 70 year old demographic. It is not altogether enjoyable and over powers conversations. Decor is a little dated. The bar deck is worn and the ceiling is soggy. The seating is a combination of bar stools and wobbly tables. And it is unpleasantly crowded as I am constantly overhearing my co patrons drawl or avoiding their sneezes. The bathroom is not clean. And trash bins are overrun by paper. The only upside is the food. They put great effort into it. The red haired chef and the assistant chef with the glasses are very pleasant and occasionally come out and serve the guests. They are nice to all I have seen and have some personality. There is a little girl who works on making the signage. She works very hard. She seems a little snobby but maybe she is just shy. I think they should give her more waitressing responsibility if she is of age. If not they should have her make sure the seating is neat, bathrooms are clean & fresh, and that the music is on point & current~ But the other waitresses are baised. They brazenly coo to the white and spanish patrons but extend no such pleasantries to any other group. They speak Spanish in front of people not realizing that some folks even non Spanish might overhear what they say (particularly about guests). And there is a manager named Josh who let's just say is an uppity diva. Do not expect to be greeted, checked on, or seen off if you are any shade darker than moreno/a.
