I know there are limited options in the area, so I’ll save your time: go somewhere else. The convienience does not make up for crummy customer service. Forgot to ask for no bun. Tried to kindly chase down server but in the end it was too late. She was slammed. No big deal, normally. I used to be a server and have lots of patience. But then she stunned me. She gave me three options - buy two meals, don’t eat or get sick. I asked for her name and the managers name and she turned her back on me and took a long phone call. Slammed — I get it — but be kind.

The burgers and fries are great but the service has always been bad... Both times the server has actually been on the phone while taking our order.... It's just rude and it takes forever to order, to get the drinks, and to get the check. Update: I went again, food was still great but service bad lol.

Made my own burger came out delish! Son had a milk shake that was very good too! Small space but great for a cute date or just to relax with good company have a burger and beer. Meat was very fresh I could tell. Service was OK. Guess it was admitted busy with call outs so everyone was bustling by us cuz we sat right by the kitchen doorway. Overall nice place, their chocolate display by the front door looked awesome but didn't get any this time around.

Went into get chocolate today and was ignored for 10 minutes. I am now up to 20 minutes and counting to fill a candy order. I get it that today is a busy day, but I as a paying customer should not be treated this way.

My husband's milkshake wasn't ready until we were done with our lunch. When the waitress finally brought it to the table, she slammed it down on the table. That was probably because I asked to have it in a to-go cup because we were ready to leave the restaurant at that point.

I’d call this place a dungeony looking sandwich shop with a fairly decent bar. The food is great and reasonably priced. The wait stuff is extremely professional. The sitting areas and furniture could use a complete makeover, to make the place more appealing.

The food was good but we were there for 30 minutes more than what we should've been there for,they were understaffed and i get that but we had to chase down our waitress to get her to run our card so we could leave. We asked for icecream menu and after 5 minutes or so she came running past us slid the menu to our table and ran off to the kitchen. And to be understaffed on Memorial day? Idk,food was good but it would've been better if the manager made sure to be properly staffed on a nice holiday,the waitresses were constantly running back and forth a lot and only saw her a few times

Not impressed. I live the next town over and called delivery, and was there during the 15-20 minute duration they told us to pick up the food. The two stars are for the regular Angus burger which was fine, but both sets of fries were incredibly stale, and the turkey burger was spoiled. I've heard the shakes are worth the money, but whether you are getting pick up / or sit down, the quality of food should reflect that, and to me it's not up to par for that expense.

Im a foodie and a beer nerd and swung by here between breweries on a whim. Taplist wasn't terribly impressive but was able to find a few good picks, cocktails were fantastic. Duck wings were otherworldly, deep fried pickles were top notch. Burger was great and sweet potato fries and cajun fries were both great

Black Cow has the best burgers in the area. They have tons of options and a "Field Tested" page with all sorts of cool combinations that are popular with the staff. My recent favorites have been the "Mac Attack", with a patty of fried mac and cheese and barbecue sauce, and their spicy maple burger. Their bar tenders also make a great drink!

Absolutely excellent food here. What we have is the Mac attack and ??? I can't remember it at the moment, but at a minimum it had bacon so you can never go wrong with that. We also got the Cajun fries with their garlic dip which was wicked good. Definitely would swing by again if ever in the area!

Great spot for burgers and beer. The wife and I took the kids here for lunch and we all enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I had the Figgy burger and it was better than expected. The kids also had burgers and they ate it all ( which is rare for my kids). I also want to mention that the restrooms were spotless. In my opinion this says a lot about a place. I read a lot of bad reviews about the service but we had no problems on our visit. There's also a candy bar that we were happy to take advantage of (champagne gummy bears?!

I'll I did was Google restaurant near me. The Black Cow Burger bar was amongst the list and the picture of the food looked amazing. It was easy to find. Parked right in front, nice seat at the bar and the menu options were outstanding. So glad I found this place. I will be back!

The best burger in the Pioneer Valley area. I have been a few times and have never been disappointed. They have unique pre made burgers but also many many options for building your own perfect burger including an amazing Ghosted Maple Aioli which I personally love. The sides are just as good as the burgers with light, crispy onion rings and delicious fries. Must try if you're nearby!

I should have turned around and walked out when I was asked if I wanted my burger "with pink, or no pink". If you own a burger joint, and your average burger price is over $10, you should cook the damn burgers however the customer wants them! Furthermore, when I specifically asked for my fries salted, I was told that I could use the salt shaker at the bar and do it myself, because they don't salt fries. That's fine, but I will NOT be back.

The food here is amazing! Best burger I've had in a long time. Homemade fries and onion rings were also delicious. Only downfall was the slow service. We were there on a Tuesday night and waited 10-15 minutes before our waitress came for our drink orders then another 10-15 min for our food order. We were there for about 1.5 hours, which is way too long for a burger place. The waitress was very nice though. I'll definitely go back, I'll just make sure there's no time constraint

I visit the Black Cow frequently. I feel like I'm always doing a happy dance when I start eating and drinking here. The food is comforting and delicous and I seem to find a new favorite martini everytime I'm here. This is the first place I tried a Dirty Hot Martini (which, at the moment, I am so in love with)! The Black Cow is a great place to hang out with family and with friends (and you don't have to leave the kids home, it's fun for all!)

So good. Got the turkey burger w/ goat cheese. Amazing fried dill pickles. They have shoe string French fries. Which were okay. We will be cost her often. Expect to pay about $20-25 per person.

Here is a case where the food is pretty good.... especially the fried pickles...but the service, if you can even get any is terrible. The restaurant was not packed, we sat at the first table and we were acknowledged by the staff....15 minutes later we were able to order, 10 more after that got our beverages. Never, ever again.

A few weeks ago my partner and I stopped in to have lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The food was tasty, and served in a timely manner. The wait person was knowledgeable and pleasant. The decor was delightful and comfortable. Yesterday we returned to grab a quick lunch on our way through town as we do not live in the village of Turners Falls. Upon entering, we were not greeted as no one was at the counter. We spoke loudly as we hoped someone would hear us. We noticed a few people working in the kitchen and one young man saw us, and walked past the door to the kitchen TWICE without any acknowledgement. We called again to no avail. As time was of the utmost, we decided to leave and take our business elsewhere. We had a wonderful experience our first go round with this establishment, but the second time left a "poor taste in our mouths". If this was our first time here, it would definitely be our last, and the jury is still out as to whether we will return.

Super place! The black bean burger is made onsite and is AMAZING! The Mac Attack made our boys very happy....and it isn't easy to please most 9 and 10 year olds. The fries are incredible and the hand cut onion rings are delectable. If you want a quality burger that will satisfy your appetite, this is THE place. Only rated four stars because the dining room needed one more person working, not because of the quality of the food.

Called ahead for lunch on valentines day. I walk in the door and find that they also sell home made chocolate?! This place was destined to be heaven. The onion rings are hand battered and go deliciously with some Black Cow sauce for dipping. I got a super boring bacon cheeseburger, but even that was to die for. Perfect amount of pink, bacon cooked just right, and the cheese was entirely melted. Can't wait to come back!

The food here is good, but I’ve been here a dozen times and every time the service sucks. Lots of waiting around for really overpriced hamburgers that you could get for half the price at the local pizza joint. Tonight while we waited at the door for a clean table, an oblivious couple cut in line and grabbed it first...instead of letting them know we had been waiting, the waitress let them slide and then served them first all night. (Had no problem asking us to wait though...) Could have eaten large dinners at a nice restaurant for what we spent. It’s too bad because they do make a delicious burger, but not a place to bring the family on a budget or when pressed for time.

The ambiance and feel are really great. The staff I'd also wonderful. The menu is priced high for what you get. They do not do refills on soda or coffee, first place I have ever been to that is like that, so each cup will cost you $2.50. My burger was overcooked but delicious. My husband got a basic burger and that it was okay but nothing special for the price. Fries are like straws and very dry so be aware of this before you ordered.

Would never return. My mother ordered a black bean burger, it came out tasting like dirt. Her request for a replacement burger what’s sharply turned down. The waitress informed us that my mother would be charged for the meal whether or not she ate it. Then additionally charged for her replacement burger. That’s is not proper edequate to make the patron pay for a crappy meal and it’s replacement.

It's so hard to find a decent burger, however Black Cow Burger Bar serves arguably the best burger around! Hormone free handmade patties, full of flavor, great portion, and a great variety! We'll definitely be back regardless of being a 40 minute drive away!

Awesome burgers. Top 5 in my book. Staff was very nice. Food came fast and Hot! Parking was tough as we were towing a camper. The area isn’t set up for that. The chocolate dark cake was good, would have been great if the cake part was softer or more lava like. The top was amazing.
