We loved bar with great cocktails and wine choices. Food wasn't that great, service also needs improvement.

French onion soup was excellent. Large portion, it would have been enough as lunch on its own. Duck and cheese sandwich was okay - a bit too greasy for my taste. I was glad I selected salad rather then fries as it cut down the oily factor. The decor is nice and I liked the fresh cut flower arrangements. There is a lady's room in addition to men's and either/or but it is on the other side of the foyer and I did not see it until we were leaving.

Just a beautiful dining room. The service was attentive. The food was very very nice. I was with great old friends and we enjoyed it to the max.

Bread was great, Caesar oyster salad was great, but the roast chicken breast was on the dry and flavorless side. Lots of mashed potatoes with some root vegetable cubes scattered throughout. We were disappointed.

A friend had recommended to try the duck confit rolls and they are simply divine. I had the lobster special and that was good. Overall I had an excellent gastronomic experience

Terrific bistro. We had lunch on our way home from North Adams to Rhode Island. It was delicious. It was tough to choose what to have, because of the great choices. The dinner menu looks even better. Charming, comfortable setting, decor, seating, etc. We'll look for an opportunity to go bsck. Try it!

We went here for a date night. A few people were here with families but we came a little later so they were at the end of their meals. Our waitress Inna, was amazing - attentive all night and let me try 2 wines before I found the one I wanted. The duck confit was my favorite. An elegant version of a dish that brought up memories from my childhood. Nice atmosphere. We had the chocolate de creme for dessert. It was good but just a tad bit too rich (but like everything else, a very generous portion!)

Zinc Bistro. I had the worst dining experience I have ever had in my 35 years of dining out. The GM Seth was so rude and unprofessional we were forced to leave in the middle our our meal. As a former Restaurant owner take my advice go somewhere else. There are so many camp friendly restaurants in Lenox. I guess they do not like parents on camp visiting weekend. Shameful!

Zinc has been consistently good over the years. We had lunch here so I kept it simple and just had the burger which was very good, the standout were the onion rings.

A native resident that has held Zinc as a favorite, all seasons. The food and service were both beyond unusually bad. The scallops was served on top of a pasty risotto, dry and tasteless. The beef bourganione was dry and pasty. Disappointing at best. I have always had positive, energetic servers. Often, the best part of setting up a fantastic dinner. Our server tonight was unpleasant, rigid and slow. A glass of seltzer water took 20 minutes, I could include other inept service, but I will leave with my feet instead!

There were five couples in our group and the restaurant was very accommodating, seating us all together with only a two hour notice on a busy Saturday evening. We all chose different things from the menu, and every order was served in proper order and at its best. Service was excellent, and the owner came to our table several times to make sure everything was being handled to our satisfaction.

We come here often when in the Berkshires. The menu is somewhat limited. Food is good, but service is fair at best. For that alone could not give it 5 stars. But certainly better than a 3 star rating.

Last summer we were here for the Taylor tangle wood July 4th gig. 1st attempt to eat, turned off by the aloof staff and we left. 2nd attempt, they were out of half the menu. Left the premises again. Today, we walked by the place, and knew that Alta, Frankie’s, and Firefly are much better choices from the get go. Some restaurants should be listed under “a**hole friendly”.

We went as a group to celebrate my birthday. My fiancé set the whole thing up! It was such a wonderful surprise. The salmon was exquisite, and being the birthday boy", the bites from everyone else's plate were amazing. With top notch service also, this is the definition of 5 star service. Thank You!

Not the first time dining here but definitely the last. Wait staff lacks in decorum but was willing to sacrifice this for what we recalled as good food. Not so. Fried oysters were saturated in grease. Same for the trout and the salmon. The quality of the trout was on par to that of tasteless fish from a frozen package and how calling it "Meuniere "is beyond comprehension. Thank goodness for the bread crumbs, as they helped to soak up some of the grease. Same situation for the "spatzle and spinach" which came with the salmon and sadly we also ordered as a side dish. Grease galore and try to find the "spinach". Literally less then one leaf broken into a few strands. Oh and did I forget to mention the tight quarters in the dining room for seating. Yes, we skipped desert, but luck but I was not deprived of a headache from the glass of French Rose ordered. Only blessing was the bread but don't expect a basket for it when served. FYI, I have never written a negative review even when not having the best meal. Why am I doing it here. Because I believe they know better but just don't care.

So the meal here was OK. In all honesty, not badly cooked, but rather overpriced for what it is. We did enjoy the beef bourguignon and fries. The duck roll & goats cheese starters and the shrimp main were - again not badly cooked - just a bit underwhelming. The dessert menu was disappointing. Bland choices and so we didn't order anything. Our waitress was attentive & polite, but we were a bit disappointed with some of the other non-food detail stuff: we mentioned it was our anniversary when booking, but got seated at a kind-of-crap table in the busy middle of the restaurant, with no mention of the occasion (though we did see others got some small sweets, so they may have just forgotten to write this down). We were in and out in an hour...would have wanted to have a bit more of an evening but there it is!

For dinner, reserve a table and allow time to wrangle a parking place. We were promptly seated only to wait quite a while to see a waiter. My $11 trendy martini finally arrived, but a noticeably substandard pour. Moules were absolutely superb; coq au vin swam in grease, the thin swordfish steak surprisingly well prepared. After serving our entrees the waiter disappeared completely, missing a chance to sell us another 1/2 cocktail or dessert.
