Great breakfast spot in East Marlborough. Our food came out a little piecemeal; I would have preferred to have had both of our breakfasts come out at the same time. They were, however, cooked exactly as ordered and delicious.

Nice place to have breakfast

Decided to treat my kids last weekend to somewhere a little different than our usual spot. There weekend check in was a little different than we are used to, you write your name on a check in list and the amount of people you have. It was a slower turn around time than we are used to at most restaurants to be seated. Once seated no one came to check on us or ask us our drinks for several minutes. We waited regardless as my kids were hungry and we didn't have time to go to another restaurant at that point. We put our menus to the side once we figured out our order and waited a couple more minutes. Finally a waitress came to our table and apologized that no one had taken our drinks order, she took our drink and food orders. For three of us to be seated and order and eat breakfast at a small dinner-esq type breakfast establishment a little over an hour seemed a little much and the food wasn't any blow you away type of meals. We will not be rushing back to eat there again anytime soon. On a plus my daughter did like the home fries they served

My husband and I love going to breakfast on Sunday mornings at the big Apple Restaurant. The omelettes are made perfect and they're specials to try. The staff is outstanding. If you enjoy going out to breakfast you should give The Big Apple Restaurant a try.

I stopped in and wanted to get some breakfast well getting some work done. Even though the place was fairly quiet it took them about 5 minutes even tell me that I could sit down wherever I'd like. I was never even served water and when I asked for hot cocoa it took them another five minutes to get it to me. When the waitress finally came back with my drink I order the potato pancakes. I waited and waited ask the waitress if everything was okay and continue to wait with no food after a half hour. I finally told the waitress I was going to leave and she miraculously said my food was ready now I told her it was okay had my overpriced hot cocoa that came from a package and left. Never again

My wife and I both are overally satisfied with the quality of breakfast we got. My wife is pregnant and we were happy seeing the"organic" Heinz ketchup on table. My understanding is that this is a newly opened restaurant and I hope they keep the quality after a while.

Definitely glad we stopped by! Unassuming from the outside, but inside the restaurant is bright, meticulously clean, and exceptionally decorated. The menu is basic; burgers, sandwiches, and salads for lunch. But the quality of ingredients was excellent! I was really happy. I ordered a tuna melt sandwich, which is pretty simple, but I was blown away by how good it was. The white bread was fresh, maybe even baked there, but I was expecting regular "wonder bread" or something. The tuna was awesome! Not to much mayo, just very good. Best tuna melt I've ever had, too be honest! Will definitely go back!

Came with my daughter and I both of us ordered pancakes. Took a little while and it was not even busy. Then when they came I went to cut them up for my daughter and they were still wet and raw in the middle, then I checked mine and the same thing. Took 5 mins for my waitress to come by and all I got was an "oh what would you like" I ordered something else for my daughter and nothing for myself. No one said sorry. One waitress was like "well they try to be quick". I don't mind waiting I would rather the food I ordered to be cooked. No one came out and apologized l, you would think the cook or a manager would after seeing how raw they were. So horrible customer service!!!!

I had breakfast there, and was hoping it would be fantastic since it's close to work.. The service was outstanding, everyone I ran into that morning was helpful, kind, and did a great job. I never wanted for anything. I was in a hurry and the kitchen and the staff got me out the door right on time. Then there's the food.. it was, ok. Just kind of blah. No real pizzaz, or strong flavor. The omelette was well prepared and the home fries were exactly the way I asked for them.. They were just, bland, I didn't taste any seasoning at all.. But, I'm hoping it was just my selection and I'll likely try them again since everything else was awesome. Great neighborhood, mom and pop kind of place with a homey feel. All the more so for regulars who were greeted by name. I thought that was terrific.

Good breakfast place. I got the gluten free waffles, which were pretty good. The home fries are not on the grill, so i personally did not like them. Wait staff were dressed up for Halloween, so that was cute and they were very nice. Prices were reasonable.

This is a great place to come for breakfast or lunch. Its clean and cozy inside. I got a BLT club w/ onion rings and it was very good. Our waitress seemed to be in a crabby mood because they closed in less than an hour and it was full of customers but the service was still good and food came quick. I will most definitely return

It's a nice place if you're not in a hurry. The food is great the servers are very nice, but it takes forever to get your food. I've been multiple times because the food is great, you just need to set aside an hour and a half of your life (plus) for a quick breakfast. Want the check? Give us fifteen or twenty minutes once you've finished eating.

How they stay open is beyond me the worst food ever , the prices are way over priced ! a can of hash & eggs with fries they say it’s home fries but it’s not ! This is a busy place for breakfast and lunch. Very nice hosts with excellent food quality and preparation. Good prices too. The only complaint is the noise. Bad acoustics, tough on the ears and conversations. I go back for the other reasons but the acoustics are tough.

Went there on a rainy day today. Arrived at 1:20pm ...knowing that they closed at 2:00 pm. The place was pretty empty. We took our menus and found our table. The waitress came over to announce that the kitchen was CLOSED. I know it was a slow day, however closing 40 minutes early...I will never go back.
