Here we offer you the reviews of people like you who are using the products of Beijing Chinese Restaurant (Restaurant) around Massachusetts area.
Right now the business receives a score of 4.0 stars over 5 and this rating was based on 186 reviews.
As you can see it has an average rating is quite high, and it is founded on a high number of feddbacks, so we can say that the assessment is quite credible. If there are many people who bothered to value when they are satisfied, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to set feddbacks when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Restaurant is classified in the category of Chinese restaurant.
This is not your average Chinese food restaurant, it's much higher quality. Not to throw the greasy Americanized Chinese food under the Fung Wah bus, as there's definitely a time and place for that! But this is much better, and deserving of date night. Everything is cooked fresh to order. I recommend the scallion pancakes as an appetizer - again, much better than what I'm used to. Also, we embarrassingly spilled an entire glass of wine. Ok, I'll just say, my husband knocked his glass all over me and my side of the table. It even got onto my service dog's leg. Oops! (Don't worry, she didn't lick it. And we weren't drunk, just clumsy.) They were very helpful and even brought over a fresh glass of wine, which my husband held with two hands from then on. We were sure to tip extra!
Excellent place for take out Chinese food. We found ours to be flavorful and good portioned. Overall a great spot and we will be getting take out from here again in the future for sure.
Good tasty food. Friendly staff with decent service.
My family and I ate there today for Mother’s Day. The food was terrible. The chicken wings and the lobster looked and tasted like it was cooked two days ago. The mock pork roll was gross looking and is sectioned and formed. It’s many chunks of pork with filler. The sea conch was so rubbery it was disgusting. And the maitre de was rude to me. We’ll never go there again.
Really good. I am a first generation Chinese American with parents from Beijing and Shanghai and know this food genre. I am really picky about Chinese restaurants and found the food to be authentic and really good. In particular, this is the first restaurant to serve Moo Shi in what I remember to be authentic -- it's an egg dish with some meat and reconstituted lily buds and cloud ears plus a bit of bok choy for color. I would have liked the pancakes that came with it to be homemade, but that's too much to expect. I've been at this restaurant twice with my brother and others and everyone enjoyed it. The lobster with ginger and scallions was terrific. For those that like spice, this is probably not the restaurant for you. The Kung Pao chicken was a little bit more like the Americanized General Gao's Chicken, but tasty enough. Both times I was there, more than half the customers were Chinese. Enough said.
Simply put, THE BEST.....
Yummy Chinese food with a nice atmosphere.
Good food but not authentic.
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. The food is high-quality - you won't find typical fast food Chinese here. The pork in the fried rice is fresh and delicious. I highly recommend their Cumin Beef dish.
Service was great! Food was good except the crab ragoon.... (just different). Its very pricey!!
Absolutely fresh and tasty Chinese cuisine! Loved the Peking duck special, minced chicken and corn soup, Neptune fried rice and elegant decor. Will be back for dim sum!
My girlfriend suggested one star.
Great dishes
Rude service. Will not go back.
It is a nice Chinese restaurant, but c-grade food. Lobster is a terrible choice. The servant forced me to pay 20% tips?!!
This was my families 2nd trip there and it has been great both times. Fantastic food and service!!
Excellent food and service. The food are authentic and tastful! Highly recommended!
A lot people comment the food was great, but actually the food was not fresh at all when we dine there. Disappointed.
Real Chinese food. Great. Love the soups.
Great food, good service. Very authentic cuisine.
Excellent service and nice foods.
饺子真好吃
Way above typical fare in terms of food quality and prep. Lots of choices for greens. No unnecessary oils. Atmosphere bright and modern. Will come back for sure
I am changing my review from 5 starts to 1. The food was tasty but because of how rude they were the last time, I will not be ordering from this place anymore. We called 45 minutes before closing and asked if we can order for pick up, instead of just saying the kitchen was closed, the associate just yelled we are closed and hung up! When I am treated so poorly, I do not want to spend my money in a place like this.
Good local Chinese food. Nice views from the second floor
The kung pao chicken was just peanuts chicken celery and pepper chunks in a bath of just grease. Nothing else. No sauce whatsoever. I've had quality dishes at this place before but that was just ridiculous.
Solid but not stand out. The menu selection is an bit sparse and compromises towards the local demographic. Can not compare to a china town restaurant in the taste department. The decor and cleanliness I would however rate a 5/5.
Best Chinese restaurant in Lexington! Awesome food, great service. Have been satisfied every time we come here.
Went with my family, liked it; nice people, decent food.
Solid, authentic Chinese culinary choices. This place has something for everyone. Also, the cocktails are great.
Real Beijing food! The flavor is incredible and the service makes you feel at home. This is by far the best Chinese restaurant in the suburbs. The owner came to greet us and made sure the food was good. I highly recommend it!
I do not know who is giving this place good reviews. This was terrible! Very odd "chicken", rubbery and just scaryweird. Service was equally odd and bad. Stay away!! This place is so bad it is scary.
We came here for dinner the night. Located at Lexington Center, this place is one of the few classier Chinese restaurants out in the suburbs. We've had the Beijing Crispy Whole Fish and the Cumin Flavored Stir-Fried Beef and can recommend these 2 dishes. They're not common dishes among Chinese restaurants.
I knew about Beijing for quite some time now; however, I didn't decide to give it a try until tonight. My family and I were imidiately greeted and seated by Po, the owner of the restaurant. The atmosphere was delightful. The restuarant's arcutecture itself was very pleasing to the eye. Food was amazing... The dishes were very flavorful, authentic, and reasonably priced. My favorites were the Yu Shiang Eggplant Chicken, and the Chicken Lo Mein. Portions were also quite generous. Overall, great experience. My family and I will definitely be returning to Beijing soon.
Exciting experience
Food somewhat ok. That male waiter commented on how much tip to pay. Seriously!!! Looking at reviews, same experience from others. Rude chinese customer service available here.
The Peking Duck is worth the visit.
Been there plenty of times & love the food. However last time I tried to order for pick up 40 minutes before they closed the lady on the phone screamed at me saying they are closed. It's a shame it's good food, but they've lost me as a customer.
Four of us had dinner there last Sunday. The food was OK. But the waiter was rude when I was about to pay the bill. He explicitly requested the amount of tips, which was quite a shock to me.
Fantastic chinese food. Great ambience
非常正宗的中国菜!酱肘子、酸豆角都不错
I lived close to this place and have gone there with friends and usually family quite often. Some of the dishes are very good such as the green beans with olive, the stuffed eggplant, and the beef with Chinese broccoli . Some are not. The Ma Po Tofu tastes as if it has ketchup in it. The food in general is better than any other Chinese restaurant in Lexington, (which isn't saying a lot) but they have from the beginning really needed help with training both wait people AND the guy behind the front desk who looks like an owner or manager.I have had rude treatment from him twice. So, I don't go there anymore. But I will say, the last time I went there I had a really nice waiter. Funny place.
Great appetizers, inedible entrees: fried was actually white rice mixed with some peas; beef and broccoli was inedible due to quality of meat.
Best cheap Asian food!
Good food. Good service.
Veg food was very bland, lack flavor.
The food quality was not so good.
Nice place, quick and tasty. Quality of the tables is very good. Clean and neat. Very helpful staff.
The food is really tasty! Good price for lunch special menu. However, it was the first time I've been asked for a tips after I left the restaurant
The interior is very elegant and bright. The H&S soup here is interesting. Today I had the lunch Dry Fried Chicken with Spicy Capsicum that seems to be a new dish since it's not on the on-line menu. I also picked the fried rice that is excellent. Well seasoned and tasty. The spicy Capsicum mostly wasn't. The chicken was well seasoned and cooked nicely. Even the spring roll was tasty with a filling that had texture left. I have had a number of very good lunches here.
Great service, astounding food and reasonable pricing
I believe the food to be authentic as 95% of the patrons were of Asian descent and English was not being spoken by the patrons. I did not give them a 5 star rating as my food never arrived. They brought my son's but not mine. The waiter never came back until it was time to pay.
Traditional Chinese food, awesome,好极了
Had the whole steamed fish. Wonderful meal. Good presentation and flavor.
Great food, good service!
Excellent food, lovely ambiance, reasonable prices....I highly recommend this restaurant.
My wife and I were invited to see two friends who loved this place. I first did not think too much about it but the food I had that night were amazing, I really love most of the dishes we tried that night, majority of pictures are already available on Yelp so i would recommend you guys take a look and give it a shot if you love Chinese food :) Honestly this is one of the best restaurants I have tried around the New England area :)
点了一个牛肉面,几乎就是清水煮面条,里面有几片酱牛肉和两棵小白菜心,出了咸味,什么味道都没有,更别说香味了,不是一般的差。不想把心情搞坏,浪费钱,请最好别尝试。
Very good food, but inconsistent, some times off-putting service. Service is frequently disappointing, to point of detracting from the food which is usually of a very high standard. Menu has become a bit more Americanized, but remains strong.
A little different than run of the mill. Peking duck and pan fried noodle dishes are great.
Nice dining place.
Very good Chinese place with an up(ish) scale atmosphere. Some interesting dishes in addition to the basics but they do the basics very well and in their own way. It can be busy especially in weekend primetime but you can usually get a seat without wait. Staff are pleasant.
Great authentic food with a good atmosphere.
海鲜豆腐煲is a must.
Definitely recommend. Affordable lunch menu with impressive dishes.
Excellent Peking duck, beef chow foon. Others loved the cumin beef. Modern, clean restaurant with a patio.
Great interior atmosphere, small but solid menu. Wait on a weekend can get long.
Excellent, best lo mein I've had in years
Good, authentic Chinese food.
The food was good but the customer service is awful. The waiter told me how much to tip him that’s crazy.
Once quite good. String beans (vegetable menu) had pork bits & excessive salt. Yu Shiang Eggplant & Chicken arrived w/o eggplant. Threw on a few overcooked pieces and re-delivered.
Went there for the first time...Sat outside on the deck on a nice afternoon. Had the ginger scallion calamari appetizer with a glass of chardonnay. It was very good. Friendly and courteous staff. The inside is clean and modern. Price is reasonable.
Amazing place. The food and the service was spot on. I will go again soon!
Loved their food. Their business lunch deal is great and way too much food to finish. I had eggplant stuffed shrimps. It was amazing. It came with rice, soup, and spring rolls!
This place was decent. Nothing earth shattering, but good basic Chinese food.
Nice food, but the waiter is VERY rude and he is a totally snob.
The food was okay. We got takeout. Our chicken was uncooked in some pieces. The lo mein was pretty greasy and didn't have a lot of vegetables. Overpriced for the quality.
Great food. Excellent atomsphere.
meh
Went for lunch last Friday. The food was lousy, the spring roll was small and greasy. The chicken and mixed vegetables was not good. The chicken was tough and rubbery and the broccoli and carrots were not cooked. It seemed like they said the spring roll was part of the lunch special but it showed as $3.00 on the bill.
Great food
Food and service were excellent. Decor amazing and an added pleasure of outside dining.
Good quality and value
Excellent service
Absolutely love the food here. Everything I've tried so far has been nothing short of delicious.
After the absolute worst service we had ever had (cold food, no silverware, had to track down our check) the waitress had the nerve to CHASE US DOWN THE STREET because she didn’t like the tip she received (10% for horrible service- we never saw her!). Save your money and go elsewhere.
Ok food. Very slow service at lunch.
The fish special was extremely sub-par, overcooked and not served with any sauce. The rest of the meal was good, however. Prices are reasonable and staff are very nice
Love the food here. Service is also very good.
Upstairs in Lexington Center. Clean inside and have mix of authentic foods and americanized foods.
Food was ok. The waiter tried to get our party to order more food than we needed
This is the worse “Chinese food” I have for a long time. The “Peking Duck” is a big ripoff, the duck is dry and the portion is wrong. I ordered half a duck, but I have a quarter of a duck. The “Sweet and Sour Shrimp” taste terrible, it is simply fry shrimp with ketchup. The “Twice Cooked Pork” is just a fancy name, it is simply stir fried pork.
Good food and accommodating service.
Excellent food, atmosphere, and service.
Consistently good in a suburban location.
Good ambiance
we just moved to the boston area and tried this place in search of our new chinese food takeout place. we were very disappointed. the white meat chicken is like—no joke—70% breading. so super squishy and gross. the other chicken was okay but not impressive. the vegetables in the fried rice were undercooked and crunchy. the prices are just a couple dollars more per dish than your average chinese takeout place (even compared to other restaurants in the area). the actual restaurant when we went to pick up takeout was really nice looking, though. it’s upstairs with an outdoor patio. looked nice but the food just wasn’t great.
As always, good quality good. Very well maintained.
They always give me the wrong order and charge me a lot more. It has happened twice, once in store and once outside. I'm so furious now. I come home and see that I got the wrong item just ruins my day. I also paid a lot more and asked them why, they just said that shrimp cost more. I didn't know they also gave me the wrong item. And for some reason, they took the receipt. I'm so super angry. Also, their food taste bad for Asian standards, I just didn't want to cook. Now I had to cook because they gave me some shrimp and veggies instead of shrimp lo mien. :( Never going back there.
