This place is great if you go in person and sit down to eat. If you call in take out it goes a little something like this "give us 20 to 25 minutes" When you arrive 30 minutes later and ask at the bar for your takeout they offer you a drink and then you wait another 20 to 25 minutes. I get the fact places are busy and I totally understand I'm not the most important person in the world but my time is important to me. If it's going to be an hour for takeout that's understandable just tell me. Don't have me come and wait around. If I wanted to wait I would have just come to the bar, sat down, ordered a drink and then ordered my takeout. It kind of defeats the purpose of calling ahead. That being said if you go in person the place is great

Great dining experience! Made a reservation for a party of 12, service was quick for all of us. Waitresses constantly checking in, bringing drinks, clearing plates. Food was delicious, no complaints from my entire party. We all left stuffed and with to-go bags with leftovers! Very accommodating. Will definitely return for dinner and consider another large group again.

The food was good. The service was not very good! My wife ordered Chicken Parmesan and she got Chicken Mozambique totally opposite of Chicken Parmesan and we had to pay for the Chicken Mozambique even though we didn't even order that! Waiter was arguing with my wife saying that my wife had said she wanted Chicken "Mark" What the hell is Chicken Mark?!?!?! Everyone heard my wife say she wanted "Chicken Parmesan" not ghetto Chicken Mark!!! We had four people order soda and one refill each. Well we got charged $20.00 for four sodas and for four refills. Total rip off!!! Food took a very long time to come out of kitchen. Won't be going back there anytime soon!!!

I got the prime rib with baked stuffed scrod and it was delicious. My wife had the seafood paella and she said it was the best she had in awhile. I highly recommended it.

Had our rehearsal dinner there food was okay. We had a whole room designated for ourselves and they wouldn't even let us have a bride and groom table in the middle they said "it set up the way it is." Servers seem like they were in a bad mood and weren't very friendly at all.

The food was great but the service feel a little disjointed. If you aren't in a rush it's a good choice. The Portuguese steak is a great choice and the paella is large enough for 2. All in all a good experience.

The food was very good but the temperature was bad. The soup and meals were just luke warm. I would go back to give it a try again. They recently remodeled, we ate at the bar side and atmosphere was nice. Would recommend because I love Portuguese food just hope they can get the temperature up when serving.

Very good fried seafood platter. It looked smaller than I remembered, but was filling. The shrimp Mozambique is great over rice or spaghetti. They have the best kale ( portuguese) soup!! And their pops ( buns) are always so fresh.

Best Portuguese food in Tiverton. Great place for functions of any kind. Staff is always hustling. They have always worked well with allergies in the family, accommodating gluten and dairy issues. Big selection and they do it all well.

This restaurant is close to our house which we frequently order take out and dine in as well. They have authentic Portuguese cuisine that is cooked to perfection. Consistent, very casual, and extremely family oriented. The pork and littleneck are amazingly delicious, the pork is not fatty and they are very tender. The soup is perfect, they sell large containers to go as well for take out. My wife loves the Barcello's steak plate, it's always cooked correctly to her likings. Great atmosphere, and the employees are always genuine. Very reasonable prices as well. The cacoila plate and sandwich is bar far my best choices. I highly recommend.

I love this restaurant!!! My husband and I go here a lot. The food is excellent. It always seems empty because everyone is sitting in the bar side. I've tried so many different things on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. From the shrimp Mozambique to the baked stuffed scrod, pork and littlenecks, cacoila, and prime rib you can't go wrong no matter what you order, you will be happy!!!!! The service was great, but it was too loud and the tables were too close together. Didn't like the atmosphere at all. Felt like a cafeteria. The swordfish and fish and chips were dry and not very tasty. The steaks and cajun chicken salad were good, cooked how we ordered them. The kale soup was excellent!

Went there on a Thursday night. 4 stars because they were understaffed so the service wasn't the best, but all of the wait staff were very friendly. I ordered the steak tips over pasta-seemed like an odd pairing but it tasted great and the steak was cooked exactly how I ordered. Big portions as well, so definitely enough to take home for a second meal.
