REVIEWS OF Vintage Restaurant IN Maryland

Howard Harrell

I had dinner with my daughter and her family at Vintage. The atmosphere is pleasant. The drinks and food were very tasty. It took a little too long for the appetizers and food to get to the table. However, overall we enjoyed it a lot. I will definitely recommend Vintage to anyone.

dawn j.

Creative, delicious food, and ditto for the adult beverages. Service was attentive and well timed. The restaurant and restrooms were nice and clean. I can't wait to return!

Rod Young

Great comfort food and service. Nice historic building. Service was really good.

Carmella Sumter

Had a awesome experience in this spot with my son. The food comes quickly and the service is just good. Prices are convenient.

I've eaten here twice recently; once for dinner and once for lunch. Both times the food was amazing. I don't write a ton of reviews, but this place stands out because the menu is so different than what you'd expect. I don't like going out and getting exactly what I can make in my own kitchen, so the uniqueness of the menu really struck me. Dinner was fantastic! The farmer's pig (I think it was called) won't disappoint; if you have an appetite, order it! I returned last week for lunch with my dad and we both got sandwiches. I couldn't decide which one was better, but you MUST try the Brisket! Oh and one more accolade, the wines by the glass are particularly good. I'm very picky on my wine, but they had a great Bordeaux, cab, and NZ Sauv Blanc.

Kristine McCarron

My husband and I hosted our wedding reception here. From start to finish, the day was perfect. Everyone at the Vintage was accommodating, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was ideal. Lissa, the event coordinator made planning the event a breeze. She was readily available for questions, helped us get the menus together, and lay out the seating plan for the day. During our reception, she helped us coordinate the events throughout the afternoon: speeches, cake etc. We were beyond thrilled wth the service and would highly recommend Vintage for any event you may be planning.

A great place to visit after Gaver Farm. Took our two kids and everyone loved their food. Great American Fusion, I think they call it Elevated Comfort Food...both are accurate. My wife got the Grains and Greens burger which she thought was great, I got the Apple Piggy which was EXCELLENT. Our 11 year old (too grown for the kids menu) had the Vintage Mac and our 6 year old had the kids Mac...both were very happy. The only recommendations I would make would be first to order an appetizer which we don’t usually do to keep prices down. Our server said the bread would be $3 and takes forever so we waited for our entrees. Long wait and the kids were starving but again the food quality was excellent. I would also say it was more expensive than I expected. Again, worth it. Home run food. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Audrey Sundstrom

We love this place! Everything is delicious and the service was remarkable. Katherine was our server last night on fathers day, she was so attentive and did a fabulous job ensuring that our meal was perfect. One of our favorite places to eat.

Alan Mawdsley

If I could give a zero star rating, I would. I dined at Vintage on Friday night (July 19) with my wife and another couple. First the good news: there was no trouble getting a table at 6pm (nor would there have been at 7:00 pm on this Friday either... perhaps a sign that others know to stay away), and our waitress was very attentive, friendly and patient with us as we took our time enjoying our drinks and talking before ordering our meal. Even with the tables only half occupied, our dinner orders took a long time to arrive, but not to worry, we were enjoying our conversation. Eventually my chicken and waffle did arrive. The waffle (described as a "hushpuppy waffle" on the menu, was so tough I had to saw through it with a knife -- no chance of cutting through this frisbee with the side of the fork. Of course the waffle is only half the appeal of chicken & waffle. Sadly, the fried chicken was overcooked, dry, tough and devoid of any seasoning. My wife tried the Cherry Hot Chicken... let's just say, don't order chicken if you go to Vintage. The other couple order the salmon and the Vintage burger -- if I were ever to go back to Vintage, the burger is the only thing I would consider ordering -- I think they've got that down but, then again, I can think of a couple local places that offer superb burgers for less than $14.

Nicholas Duvall

Bright and wonderful atmosphere, great food, and impeccable service.

Kathryn Nordvedt

The whole family LOVED it and when that means kids too you know it is a great meal! There was truly something for everyone and the atmosphere is quite special. Looking forward to going back for a parents night out there. . .SOON.

John Miller

Excellent food and service.

Daniel Rivera

How did it take this long for me to find this gem ?! AMAZING. DELICIOUS. I'm stunned at how great this place is in New Market. The pickled jar was bomb. The biscuits rivaled those in Nashville but that Chicken Wrap was to die for! Best Salad was good but rather have that Wrap!

Neil Kleczek

Not worth the price, after about 40 minutes we received our meal. 20 dollar chicken was overcooked, dry, and tough. A simple round with the meat tenderizer hammer would greatly improve the texture of the chicken. The waffle that accompanied it was good, nothing special. I couldn't differentiate a regular Belgian waffle from this waffle. The fish and chips, forget about it. No flavor, therefore the fishy taste was the dominate party. Not a desirable flavor by any means of the imagination... the fries with the fish and chips were bland. They were supposed to be parmesan fries. Again, the fish and chips was ALSO not worth the 20 dollar price tag. It's almost like this establishment is attempting to be a high level restaurant, but only the price tag is reflecting that. Only reason I didnt give two stars is because the atmosphere is pleasant, and out waiter was very friendly.

Tom Dufek

We've had dinner here twice in the past week, after hearing great things from friends, and we were nothing short of impressed. Got the full experience between both trips - first was a quick dinner with the Mrs. in the bar, the second with a party of nine in the dining room for a special occasion. The staff was extremely warm, attentive, and accommodating. The food speaks for itself. We had several people in our party with somewhat specific food preferences and found that everyone was able to order and have several choices. Drinks were great and very reasonably priced. Easy 5 Stars. Keep up the great work.

Demetries Oberc

First time. Food was great and obviously prepared by a professional with vision. The flavors all went so well. It did take a long time for the food, but we were told its all from scratch. We will be back.

Janet Robison

A little disappointing. I love this place but the food wasn't great on Sunday for brunch.

Susan Ellsworth

excellent service and great food! What more could you ask for?

Karlene Brito

Stuff was very friendly, the place is clean and cozy. Food was delicious!!!

Nick

My ribs were very dry and overcooked. The hush puppies were very doughy and had no crunch. The catfish my wife had was really good as was the bite I had of a friend's "farmers pig". The service seemed confused, though our main waitress was fine. With all the great options in the Frederick area not sure I would choose them again.

JB Donahue

Ambience is great, service is below average, and food is ok.

Chad Vidt

Excellent friendly service, unique atmosphere. You can even get drinks and appetizers while waiting for your table in the front sitting room. Food was fantastic (had chicken and waffles) . Drinks were perfectly mixed. Coffee sourced local for a "vintage" brew and desserts and ice cream are all made on site. Will definitely be back again.

Maria Hairston-Purcell, Real Estate

This restaurant truly had a vintage feel, we enjoyed our breakfast everything was made to order and was get good!

Beth Peterson

Delicious food! Beautiful farmhouse decor. We went on a Friday night, so there was some nice live music as well. We had fried pickles and flatbread as appetizers and shrimp & grits and chicken & waffles as our entrees.

Kathy Persinger

Just had the rehearsal luncheon for my sons up coming wedding at Vintage. It was fabulous! The presentation of the food was beautiful and everthing tasted so good. The staff was so accommodating and went above and beyond. I could not be happier!

Mike Elliott

This is a great place. Small town feel with lots of drink variety. All meals cooked from scratch from local sources wherever possible. It has a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Definitely a great choice for any occasion

regina murcko

very fun menu. smoked brisket wonderful

Michael Knuppel

Came here for my mom's birthday celebration. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I ordered smokehouse panini and it wasn't anything special, not much flavor. The smokehouse wings were good. We ordered our appetizers and entrees separately and everything came out within 5 minutes of each other so had barely started the appetizers. So either one or the other is going to get cold. Attention to detail would be good for the prices you pay here.

David Butler

Fantastic food wrapped up into a vintage package. This place is way more than I would have ever guessed from a pretty unassuming facade. If you're ever in town and want a quality dining experience with chef-inspired delights, this is your place.

Melanie Gardner

Great food and cocktails

Donald Duvall

Only had drinks. Enjoyed are time there romantic restaurant , great service from bartenders!

Thomas Talbot

Decent and creative food in an elegant historical setting. Best for occasional visits as menu lacks variety.

Amanda Adolf Duncan

I adore this place! I have visited for brunch, lunch and dinner on a handful of occasions and the food has always been spectacular! The service is always friendly and the atmosphere is very inviting.

Jim Ferrant

Great dinners.

Brad Martin

Good food, drinks and service.

Lisa shereika

Food has been very good, but they don't change the menu...boring. Drinks also good, but service, meh. We had a reservation and they kept us waiting 40 minutes!

Jared Mays

Food was great, service was average...

Daniel Ducharme

The food we got was delicious, however, we went there for Valentine's day after planning an entire weekend, and they didn't have the full menu they had advertised. It was frustrating because we both chose items that we were told they had run out of by the time we got there. It would have nicer to receive menus that reflected that rather than wait for the server who had come to take our order. Overall the ambiance was amazing. There were some really cool fixtures in the restaurant. We were willing to forgive the atrocious entrance because there isn't a lot that Vintage could do about road construction.

Chris Sibal

Excellent food and great vegetarian selection. I am not a vegetarian, but often eat that way here.

Beverly Wilson

This was my first time eating at this restaurant and I have to say that you as a restaurant business disappointed me and my family. The service was VERY slow. Waited about an hour and a half to get our food. The lightening was terrible. The food wasn’t that good and then after complaining about the fact that our food was cold, it took over 30 minutes for the food to be returned to our table. We asked for a side of bread to be served with our meal and we were told that it was unavailable. We respectfully request a discount/coupon of some sort, to make amends for this poor experience. We would like to give your restaurant another try.

Michelle Chelle Heavner

Food is tasty and the service was fantastic thanks to Ms. Carol Anne! We will be back!

Shannon Reinhart

One of our favorite places to grab dinner and drinks after work, and Sunday Brunch! Great atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly staff. Don’t skip dessert here! Their homemade ice cream is amazing, as well as their Flourless Chocolate Lava Cake!

Hangfish

Food and service are great. Atomsphere is relaxed.

Matthew Spisso

Outstanding food. Outstanding service. Looking forward to many more visits.

Kristen Herman

Unique food, craft cocktails, fabulous atmosphere. Can't go wrong

Tamra Windsor

Everything was well seasoned. The house salad was just a bowl of mixed greens, not sure if you call that a salad.

Erick Shepherd

An amazing experience! The menu is so creative: the food is unlike anywhere else I've ever been! High quality fresh ingredients combined in unique ways. The menu is done by the food that is in season at the time, and it really shows! Throw in the vintage aesthetic and homey decor and you have all the right ingredients for success. I'll definitely be back here again soon!

Carla Colson

I have been going there since it was Mealy's. Manager Lindsey and Chef Stephanie are doing such a Wonderful job. I love going!! The food is fresh and delicious and there are always new specials and drinks for the season. The wait staff and bartenders are awesome. Always great service with a smile.

Tara Plyler

Our party of four arrived at Vintage at 7:30 last Saturday evening for our reservation. The hostess was very friendly and we were seated almost immediately. Our server brought our menus and water, and then came back after several minutes to take our order. And then we did not see him again. We waited for over an hour before my husband finally went to the hostess stand to find out what the problem was. After a second trip around the restaurant by my husband to search for our server or a manager, and 15 additional minutes of waiting, our food finally arrived at the table. It had obviously been sitting out for some time; the hot entrees were lukewarm at best, and the salads were warm from sitting. The bottom bread of my panini was soggy and the top was hard as a rock from sitting under the warmer. Our server never apologized, and even though by that time several of the employees knew that we had experienced a problem, no manager ever came to our table. Since we never did see a manager during our visit, I sent an email as soon as we left the restaurant. I waited 5 days for a response and then sent a follow-up. I still have not received a response, which is why I am now posting this public review. Needless to say, Vintage is now on our "Never Again" list.

Evelyn Jean

They offer a vast variety of delicious food. I like dining here. Employees are always helpful, rates are affordable and the spot is always neat.

Paul Hill

Always good, always interesting. Casual enough to bring kids, formal enough to impress. Love this place. Beer flights and cocktail flights. Brunch. Dessert and coffee. I understand they will even host private events.

Malaika Zokirova

I am critical when it comes to restaurants, and being a vegetarian makes me more so. I was pleasantly surprised. Amazing flavor, went with the charming atmosphere, and fresh creative cocktails. World traveler, I would say this place is on my top 20 favorite places.

Jonathan Winkert

Great food. Had the burger and was not disappointed.

Jim Peyton

Great craft cocktails. Good food. Classy, but not pretentious. Prices are fair. Service was excellent.

John Bottone

Wonderful food in a charming country inn setting. Worth a visit.

Margaret Green

Loved the restaurant. Food was delicious...onion rings we're the best I have ever eaten!!

John Arnwiesner

A little pretentious for New Market. Really need to offer brown rice.

Cathie Cain

Great food, great service.... creative Chef!!

Jon Santos

Very attentive staff especially when one entree didn't arrive with the others.

Nicole Piper

Excellent food! Excellent atmosphere!

Colt Michael

The customer service is consistently fast, fantastic atmosphere, very nice staff. I will return again when I arrive here.

John Burd

This was the 2nd time going here and it was on Bogota night this time. Our first time was amazing and this time seemed very disappointing. The brussel sprouts were so good we had them gone right after it hit the table. Then everything went down from there. The service dragged and it took forever to get the entrees. Which the waitress said as a kind of tongue and cheek comment that she bet we are starving by now. I got the apple piggy and it was dry and I mean by far some of the driest pork I have ever had. And my wife got the stickylickychicky which was great but the biscuit it was on was spongy and seemed like they had over kneaded the dough. But overall the food was still good just had a few issues with it.

Deidre Minton

Delicious food in a nice atmosphere and reasonably priced. The staff is very personable!

Oz Fletcher

Ate there last Sunday with my wife and her father. 24 hours later we were all vomiting, had the chills and body aches all over. Only thing we had in common was the devilled egg appetizer. STAY AWAY FROM THE DEVILLED EGGS!!

Mary Teresa Barnhart

Great food and service. The Sunday brunch is worth the drive!

Faith Wachter

Came for Valentine's Day dinner with my husband. Well-constructed menu, beautifully executed food, attentive service. Best food experience in New Market. We will return.

Dan Vep

Sorry wrong vintage, I was pretty hammered that night. I am definitely going to have to give you guys a try. I am still going to give a one star review until I know you are worthy of more stars.

John Bromhal

Delightful nightcap with my dear wife at the Vintage bar. The Manhattan was perfect with the Bulleit Rye. We also shared a weekly cocktail called "Beggin' for Spring," created by our bartender, Erin. Nice job. Makes me eager for the warmer weather that inspired it.

Ryan Lantzy

Excellent homestyle fare.

Michael Hofmann

Good drinks great food

jen brown

Great quality food and the ice cream was amazing

Frankie Barwell

One of my favorite local restaurants. It’s a lovely building with a lot of genuine old character. I just love the flight of cocktails idea. The food is great too.

Tori Daileu

Great food. Local, fresh ingredients and friendly staff. Laid back atmosphere or nice date night!

Matt Powell

Great atmosphere and friendly service!!!

Shellie Smith

The food is alwafys really creative and well-done. The cocktail flight was outstanding. The only downside is awkward customer service. We always have to wait for someone to wander over to the hostess station to seat us. And the chicken was bone-in...so messy and unpleasant for chicken and waffles. Fortunately, food makes up for these things.

David Koronet

Good food, attentive service, and an interesting decor.

joel leber

Different than your everyday menu, we enjoyed the flights of cocktails and beers. Wings were good, first time I ever had smoked wings.

Jennifer Russo

Outstanding! Delicious food, unique selection, comfortable atmosphere!

Michael Weiss

Michael the bartender was very attentive and friendly. Nice atmosphere, will definitely be back!

stephen dorsey

Fantastic food and atmosphere

Joe Smith

Everything was exceptional. My daughter wasn't pleased with her salad and it was swapped at no cost for a nice wedge salad. Service was really good.

KJ P

3% Love fee added to bill. A service fee for using a gift card and over an hour wait for our meal. Food was okay, but bread was slightly burnt and drinks arrived spilling over the side of the glasses. Transparency, good service and great food are key. Unfortunately, this place is now lacking many of these.

Jacob Martin

Great food!

Cori Thompson

I normally don’t write reviews...but our second experience dining in was terrible. We had reservations at 715pm and we arrived 11 minutes early..the hostess needed us to come back closer to our reservation lol ok.. then we sit down and waited over an hour for our food. We were patient but our server never came up to let us know the situation and just smiled/walked by. He never asked if we need any other drinks but was friendly. One dish was completely unacceptable. We ordered fish n chips but our order was the bottom of the bucket. Everyone else’s plate that passed us looked full and larger portions. Our portion was ridiculously small and we had approx five French fries on the plate. The side order French fries are sugared and gross. Who like sugared French fries?? The manger was kind and helped our situation. She hooked us up with a gift card but I’m not sure we will be back. We are new to town and was excited about this awesome restaurant. The kitchen needs to get it together. The food is tasty. The power bowl needs to be a bigger portion or another flavor added/sauce? It’s missing some magic.

Heather Hh

Great vintage atmosphere, decorated with distressed shutters and feels like it was once a country house. Smoked fried pickles are awesome! Our entrees were both delicious and portions are large. My husband loved the fried chicken and waffles with pickled berries and curry butter! So unique!

Ryan Messett

The food is always good, but tonight we sat down at 6:10, got our appertizers at 7:15, dinner at 7:50 when our order was taken at 6:15. All on a Tuesday night with the restaurant only 1/3 filled. When they are on the ball, it's great. I don't recommend bringing small children if you want to enjoy your night!

John D.

The food was phenomenal, staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. There is plenty of free parking behind the restaurant with accessibility accommodations. The environment is very clean and unique. There is a bar with a great selection of drinks. The 4-stars is due to a poor selection of menu items and the ability to alter the food. Overall a great venue.

Fred Hannasch

Stopped for dinner after a round of golf a little after 7 pm. It took a few minutes to be seated and 15 minutes to receive three easy pour drinks. Our food order of two burgers and a BLT sandwich stick took quite a while to arrive. All seemed well prepared but may have been standing for a time. This is my second visit to Vintage with slow service each time. It is an attractive venue and staff very nice. I will give it another try but another slow experience may be strike three.

Harold C

Surely a spot worth visiting, the food is fantastic and fresh, the cost is fair and it is constantly well kept there. Highly recommended.

Kate Cullen

Menu is unusal. Service was excellent.

Allison Carraghan

Words can't express how much we love this place. Not only as a restaurant with fantastic food, setting, and decor. But we had our wedding there recently, and the whole process was absolutely perfect and seamless. We can't thank the staff enough, especially Lissa. Wedding planning can be notoriously hectic, and they made it the most easy, thoughtful, personalized, ideal day for us. Their elevated comfort food is too good to put into words. The devil eggs, mac & cheese and burgers are a must try. The staff is always beyond nice and helpful. The price really can't be beat. I can't recommend Vintage enough. If you have any upcoming events (whether it's a bridal/baby shower, or business party, or even just an intimate group dinner)...I highly highly recommend booking with Vintage!

Denise Shue

Very cool place close to 70 with unique menu and fresh ingredients.

Jane Phillips

Excellent food and service. Wish they can open another one near us, but to be honest, I don’t mind the drive.

Sarah Liz

Great atmosphere, excellent food!

Wayne Feelemyer

The food was very different but yet delicious. The service was also good.

Paula Wilhelm

Vintage has been in operation four years, and I wonder why it has taken me so long to check it out. I went with a friend on Thursday ~ ladies' night, a nice surprise, since the cocktail menu is quite special. That was the beginning of an enjoyable variety of tastes. We shared the onion rings, which were hot, super crispy and yummy. My friend had the beef brisket panini with fries, and she raved about the tender and tasty beef. I had a half wedge salad, with enough twists to make it unique, yet the best I've ever had. When the server delivered my chicken and waffles, I was delighted at the presentation, and amazed by the profile of tastes. Crunchy, sweet, savory, spicy. It doesn't get better than this! Needless to say, I can't wait to return to Vintage with my husband for a lovely dinner out.

Greg Munck

Great service and good food in a laid back home atmosphere. Very good drinks and desserts also. Favorite appetizer was the hush puppies.

Shaun & Erin Combs

In town for a family outing, we needed a good spot for dinner. This place did not disappoint. Great food, great beer, great service! At first I wasn't sure if it would be good for kids (I have 4 small ones), but they took great care of us. I strongly recommend the Farmers Pig. Delicious!

Audrey Troutt

The food was delicious and the ambiance was nice, but the service was extremely slow. The coffee was quite good, and our group enjoyed the garden burger, cran-chick wrap, and pulled pork sandwich. The hush puppies saved us from dying of hunger while we waited for our entrees.

Lauren Quinn

Overpriced menu, the cocktails were harshly sweet. Nice bartender tho!

Ashlee Harris

I’ve been here twice. My only gripe is the service speed. Loved the food and atmosphere. But me any my partner as a two top were at the restaurant for two hours because of how slowly the food came out. Other reviews seem to be citing the same issue over and over.

Corinne Baldwin

The cauliflower appetizer is a joke.- who serves the root of the cauliflower ?? For 12.00 ?The bartenders are more worried about the service area then the actual customers at the bar. Waited at least 10 minutes to get a drink and forget it if you want a refill. Overpriced for sure.

Jen Russo

Loves the atmosphere. Delicious, unique recipes.

Karen Smith

Had a great time at Vintage. Our waiter Mike was fabulous.

Ben Madrid

We love the fresh, wholesome ingredients used to make every dish. The full bar offers a fine selection of beers. Friendly atmosphere.

Cindy Clement

Cauliflower steak, pickled vegetables, and hushpuppies from the starters menu were all great. Service was rather slow - perhaps they needed more waiters.

Mark Deibert

Very delicious high quality meals if you can afford it. Check will be higher than pretty much any other restaurant nearby. Which is Ok to me because it's very good food.

Dr. Todd Collins

Great food, great beer, great service.

Donna Meacham

We had our sons rehearsal dinner at Vintage and couldn't of been happier! Lissa, the banquet manager, was wonderful to work with and provided answers to all my questions. She was helpful in figuring out just the right quantities of food and drinks and put together a proposal to fit my budget. The food was delicious and all our guests were raving about it, especially the mac n cheese bites and shrimp n grit cakes. The wait staff was on top of everything and did a great job! We were very impressed!

Hoya Schaef

Great food but one of the loudest restaurants around - really need to add some rugs to those tile floors. Go on a weeknight when it's not crowded and always get the smoked wings. Best wings ever.

cloud 05

Food was good. Not too expensive imo. Liked the setup of it being in an old house.

Lawdawg Mon

The hush puppies are rediculously good. The staff is super friendly. The portions are generous.

david peck

Wonderful food and service

Dale Bollinger

Service was good, food was very tasty.

Doug Garlock

GREAT ATMOSPHERE, GREAT FOOD AND MIKE MAKES THE BEST MULE IN MARYLAND

Charles Kozak

Food was good. The service was wonderful. Try the fried pickles.

Joyce Hilbery

I took friends to Vintage last night, I’ve used this restaurant a few times but was horribly disapponted with just about everything, the service was terrible, slow wasn’t the word, we eventually managed to place our order with the waitress, and the food was terrible, I ordered salmon asked for medium rare, it was so overcooked, my husbands trout was disgusting, seriously. we called the waitress over to tell her...she was ‘non plus’ didn’t react at all, I had to ask for the manger....she tried to make amends with the offer of a $50 gift card....it was not good....staff are indifferent, food is at best mediocre..such a shame, it used to be good!

Tessa Thompson

Vintage is very cute inside and the menu is full of yummy options! They have a separate bar area, and often have live music.

Jesse Pilcher

We love Vintage. Food is great, drinks are great, and we love the feel of the place. Been many times and look forward to our next visit.

Karen Yoho

My husband and I just had dinner from the Valentine's menu. Very yummy. Service was great, too.

Patricia Overstreet

Always good food, service and atmosphere.

Jennifer King

Service was sub-par. Took 30+ minutes to get our drink orders and when we ordered another round it took 15-20 min. I am big on service as a former server (and a huge foodie) and I like to tip well and give rave reviews when deserved. In this case, it wasn't. Although the service was lacking, we still had to tip 20% because we had a large party. I gave two stars instead of one because I liked the atmosphere and some of the food was good and some was just okay. The wings, deviled eggs and market salad were good. The main entrees were okay. The duck n dumplins was over salted and the potatoes weren't cooked all the way. The salmon and trout were cooked well. The shrimp in the shrimp n grits was overcooked. The french fries were good. The brisket was cold. We visited for a birthday. My daughter tried giving simple instructions about the cake. The waiter asked whose birthday at the beginning of our dining experience but the person that brought the cake put it in front of someone else at the table and I basically had to pull it down the table before they stopped singing. In addition, they never took it out of the refrigerator like asked.

Donald Dunbar

Nice restaurant with rustic charm. A little on the pricy side, but found to be worth it. Service very friendly and fast. Wait staff knowledge of menu. Parking on the street could be a little challenging. Unkown if there may be parking lot in the back.

Michael Rosenberg

Got a custom cocktail off the menu that was pretty good. Service took a while, there we re dead bugs all over the ceiling, and the prices are outrageous. Manhattan prices in New Market. Silly. But worth a try if you want a nice meal and a beer and don't mind a slightly weird experience.

Emily S

Great menu, service and atmosphere.

Christine Prete

They were out of basic cocktail ingredients at the bar and we were told we probably couldn't have bread with our app order. Server came back with two pieces of today cut into rectangles and called it a bread plate. Ambience was nice, but that is not enough.

Don Lindsay

Great service and excellent food

Amanda Duncan

I have been here a handful of times and it is so freaking good. The peachy keen with Bacon is to die for, the perfect mix of salty sweet. The brunch is also amazing.

Anh Pham

Clean, well lit atmosphere meets distressed wood tables and rustic old American accents. Very busy for brunch. 1 out of 4 food orders were slow to arrive. Cheery flannel wearing staff were pleasant; at the same time they felt a little distant and perhaps spread thin amongst their tabs and unable to be totally attentive. Well prepared smoked salmon sandwich with freshly baked hearty bread. Home fries portion was meant for ants - oh come on, I practically inhaled that. Overall would come back.

Coasted

Chicken and waffles are amazing Service was good, this place makes you feel at home. They even have funny puns in the restrooms

Lauren Miller

They do a cocktail flight here. Enough said. But in all seriousness, this place is cozy, rustic and modern. The food, service and drinks were all amazing! Definitely recommend.

Jodi Duckhorn

Great local restaurant with good food, but overwhelmed wait staff.

Charelle Dawe

The staff are friendly and quick to greet you. The decor is so relaxed and homely. The music is ambient and relaxing. The brunches are my favourite but the dinner and lunch menu is also good. Only issues wpuld be hpw busy it can get on fridays and Saturday nights. There can be a bit of a wait. But jt is truly worth it. Some very interesting flavour combos

Matthew J. Finley

Brunch and dinner are pretty good. Most people we take here enjoy the food and atmosphere. Haven't had a bad experience.

S Shifaraw

Went on a Friday night and the place was about 75% full. We waited 45 minutes for our appetizers and an hour for our meals. Deviled eggs and hushpuppy appetizers were great. Cesar salads were ok. Except for the super slow service, I would have rated 4 stars.

Sarah Traucins

Delicious rissoto and good cocktails. I would definitely go back.

Chad Ferguson

What a great place. This was the first time we had visited and can't wait to go back. We sat in the bar area and we're very impressed with the selection of local spirits as well has awesome happy hour specials. They had cocktails on tap as well, which I'm sure to try next time I'm in. The food was amasing! I can't even put into words the flavors combined in our sandwiches to make an absolute delicious meal. Finally the atmosphere is fantastic. They have hit the nail on the head with the vintage feel. It's perfectly decorated. Wait staff was also great and attentive. Can't wait to go back!

Jon

Shrimp and Grits are to die for! This place is amazing; if you haven't been there you need to go!

Marghi Hopkins

Delicious food and outstanding service. A real jewel!

Nothing but good things to say about this place. My Fiance and I went here the night before Valentine's day, and experienced great food and great service. The burger, shrimp and grits, and hush puppies were all delicious, and the drinks were great. We will definitely come back soon!

Definitely one of THE best restaurants around!

The food and atmosphere here are top notch. I'd call it refined traditional American? The best fresh/local ingredients. Price is a little high, but you definitely get what you pay for.

By far the best food and will always visit this place for fine dining at a very good price. The taste of the food and how well everything is prepped from local area farms, I'm surprised how cheap the prices are for what quality you get!

The atmosphere was rustic and very nice. Nice environment for brunch, which is what we went there for. The food was okay, prices were a little high for what you got. Our waiter was good.

The food was good but it took almost 20 mins to get our drinks and after we were done eating our apps and drinking we waited forever for the food. It tasted amazing but again we ordered second around of drinking during our apps and did not arrive until we all finished our food and ready for the check. If the service was faster I would have given it 5 stars

Awesome food, great atmosphere, extremely knowledgeable and capable staff.

This place knows how to serve their clients. Regularly with a welcoming mindset. The food is conveniently priced, always fresh and clean.

Looking at the location of the restaurant, I wasn't going to expect much from the inside but if I had never learned to not judge a book by it's cover before, this place sure showed me now. The staff was friendly and courteous. The steak, which I ordered rare, was cooked to perfection and tasted heavenly.

Not a large bar menu but what they have is good. Drinks can be good or really weak depending on the bartender (the tall guy is not good). Restaurant has more to offer but is a bit pricey. Overall not bad but room for improvement.

It was great! My family and i had a wonderful time. The bartender didn't have much personality but was attentive. Portions sizes were very, very small but tasty. Good beer selction, tried many. Cocktail flight was fun but the drinks weren't worth being on the menu. Awesome building. Please take care of it.

Average food. Average service. Good historic ambiance.

One of our favorite local restaurants. All ingredients are obtained from local sources. Never disappoints!

Try the pickle jar and fried saltines. Trust me.

Went here with my mother and grandmother for lunch. I saw the restaurant had great reviews. Well they must have paid someone off. It started out that i asked for a slice of lemon and never got it. Ended up walking to the bar to get that and a glass of ice. Our food took what i would consider longer than typical but i wouldn’t fault them for that-it was probably 30 minutes. When we got our food no one liked their meal. I got a chicken Caesar salad, the chicken was dried out and tasteless. The “Caesar” dressing was more like blue cheese and Parmesan in water with some herb. I did not like it. My mother ordered a burger, it was ok-literally tasted like McDonald’s although it did not look like it. My grandmother ordered a catfish sand which that was ok. Both of them had a side salad-which only consisted of spring mix-no toppings at all-just spring mix. Our meal totaled $50 and I feel like we should have paid half that.

We went there on Valentine's Day so there was a special menu at $65 per person. The service was super friendly and the place is clean. Parking can be tricky but there was plenty of parking on the street out front. Inside has a great vintage vibe going on. The food was perfect from appetizers to mains to deserts. We think that a bottle of wine should have been part of the special menu for the price so we just stuck with water. Like I said, the food had great flavor and everything was done perfectly. Atmosphere was nice and not too loud even though it was crowded. We might check this out again for the regular menu. $$$ out of 5. There is an additional charge called the "labor of love" that was about $3.90 additional on the bill that is used to provide benefits to the employees. We are still deciding if this is good or bad for business in our minds. It seems to us that you would roll these costs into the goods and services you provide and not throw extra charges in at the end.

Very cute place. It was recommended by locals. We had Stickie Lickie Chickie, Brisket Panini and kid burger sliders.
