This is the best buffet in this area. Seniors are charged $7.99 from 1:30 to 3:30 including drink Monday thru Friday. Dinner has all you can eat crabs for dinner. Salad bar is outstanding. Very clean. Highly recommend.

United is a good Chinese Restaurant, Fresh Food, and Lots of options from Chinese to American, They have it. Great Place for families to, because if your kids are picky with their food there is a lot of options here. Also the Hibachi is good here, I would recommend it.

I went in to try their food for the first time on Friday during their transition between lunch and dinner and it was pretty packed. The cashiers were very polite and allowed me to go in and have a look around to see what they served and the food looked and smelled very appetizing. They had foods like Mac n’ cheese, sushi, hibachi, pasta, and salad. They also had a wide variety of seafood like crabs, shrimp, and fish. They also had a nice dessert bar and soft served ice cream. Although it was a little pricey, it was worth it because the food tasted like it looked and smelled and the waitstaff were friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to people who enjoy different cultures’ foods. The only problem was they didn’t have enough tables because it was very crowded but that just means a lot of people enjoy their food. I will definitely come back to this place with my friends and family.

I am in love! There aren't that many good, clean buffets and this one has great service, great food, and a good price for what is being servred. My fear is that so far United knock the ball out of the park; that they'll change. Time will tell! I was going to go when it first opened a few months ago but with all the bad reviews I decided to wait. It is a typical buffet. There is a good selection of food and everything I got was warm to hot. I can't say the food tasted bad or bland. I didn't choose a wide variety because I'm a very picky eater. The place was clean and well lit. I'm sure I'll return.

Folks. If you love Sushi this place does NOT disappoint! They have well trained sushi cooks behind the counter! They make Americanized sushi but they are also adept at basic Japanese choices! Now all they need is someone to make Miso soup! XD

Service was acceptable in the sense that I accepted the drinks I was served. The food...what’s there to say really. The honey chicken was akin to Canada that is to say considerably more batter than chicken eh. The short ribs were akin to the British Empire at the height of its power that is to say pretty tasty. The chicken nuggets were akin to post-WW2 Germany that is to say not bueno. The ice cream was akin to the 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers that is to say creamy and delicious. To be fair though, the service was actually very good, so props to them for that.

We really enjoyed this place. Food was good, always full & hot. Cheap price for everything they have. Restaurant itself was clean but bathrooms smelled funny & needed to be kept up with. Waitress was attentive in beginning but didn't see her last 30 minutes we were there. The spare ribs were particularly amazing! Regular price for 2 with waters was $19.06. They also offer a senior discount.

They basically toss you out the door after you had a couple plates. And the waitresses stand there and watch you waiting for you to leave. And while me and my husband were sitting there still eating our food the waitress came up and started cleaning the table off reaching across us while we were eating.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be reading the reviews, but still not the best. Eggs in the fried rice (not vegan), avocado sushi good, hibachi not very good. Desserts are much better than Supreme! They do have a variety of foods. I don't eat seafood, but I saw crabs and shrimp. I guess it's worth a try. Not sure if I'll be back or not.

When I saw the first reviews when United Buffet first opened I didn’t let that sway me. Usually it’s hard getting up and running without hiccups and a lot of the time it’s other restaurantures in the area writing poor reviews to sway people away from their competition. Well I was right to try it myself. The food is fresh, the variety is awesome and the food for the most part is amazing. Hats off to the chef or chefs doing the prep work. This Buffet puts all the other buffets in the area to shame. The value is also incredible with all the early bird specials etc. if you haven’t eaten here you are really missing out! I have come back 4 times and not once has anything changed. The experience has always been great.

Walked in at approximately 3:25 at end of senior buffet 1:30 - 3:30. costs $7.99 w/ drink. Charged me $12.99. Male asian cashier co-owner told me buffet was over at 3:30, as I explained that i was in line after 6 other people. Female asian co- owner comes to the front to explain to me about the prices and how the buffet works. She did not have a good command of english to effectively communicate. I ask for my money back so she gives me senior discount but only water to drink after I asked for pepsi. Server has to go to owner for approval. frustrated and hungry i go to dinner only buffet. got 1crab i crab ball before I realized my mistake. She comes tells me i can't eat fom dinner buffet. Some male customer tells me" it says dinner buffet only". I. told him to mind his business that he didn't own or work there. I told her we can just call the police if she continues to harass me. She takes plate, i then go to regular buffet. Servers stand around watching you eat. all they do is remove plates and fill drinks too soon. I was disrespected and put only display. I caught my server and another looking and talking about customers. Now about food. Thin pcs fried fish overcooked.,shrimp double breaded, fried rice was dry peas and carrots i it. I hate that. No white rice . one choice of veg string bean w/ sesame garlic flavor the best thing i ate! Coconut cake was dry. Soft Ice cream better than Golden Corral. machine made loud noise so it was shut down. So customers who paid dinner prices had no ice cream. I still gave server over the suggested 25% tip of $2.12 even though i caught her talking about me and other customers she was not friendly and I felt like they were jail wardens posing as servers. I will make a complaint to BBB and Food inspection.

Good selection of food. Go when it's busy to get more hot selections. A bit heavy on the seasonings. The tilapia and brussel sprouts have too much pepper, which takes away from the flavor. They should keep children away from the food tables as most parents don't keep them from handling the food improperly. My wife and I like it there, but the aforementioned improvements would make it even better.

I took a visit to United Buffet and I will say that I didn't like it bc first of all the seating arrangements is not enough sitting for customers to be seated, as I noticed for the food preparation had so much of seafood and not enough of anything else to choose from. So I only ate a very small portion of spinach and fried chicken wing dings and another thing the United buffet it's alot smaller than when it use to be called Old country buffet which before the seating arrangements were more room. I will not be going back there to the United buffet, that's just my opinion and others may enjoy there stay at the United buffet. Two each it's own. Me and Friend went to the United buffet on sunday instead I should have went to golden corral like I started too but how my aunt said that United buffet food was so good well I didn't like it , so I will be giving it a 3 star rating... Maybe others like it but I don't care for the United Buffet...

This was the first time here since the change from Old Country. I thought some of the food was ok, but most was a bit greasy. The fruit bar was great though. The place looked clean and the atmosphere was pretty chill. So its not bad, just not the best. I think I'll stick with the other one across the parking lot

United Buffet is one of the nicest Chinese restaurants in the Hagerstown area. Lots of space and much, much food to choose from. Even cooks to make fresh food for. A nice sushi area that has much to choose from in in the front area of the restaurant. Clean rooms and neat enough to eat in. Nice and courteous service even when busy. This place does drawl a nice crowd even after lunch hours. I’d recommend coming here if you like Chinese food.

If you are a seafood lover, you should go to this place. They have Dungeness Crabs, Blue Claw Crabs, Salt and Pepper Shrimp, Fried Butterfly Shrimp, clams, mussels and a few other seafood items. They have sushi, steak, ribs and so much more and the dessert is good.

The food was awful and had been sitting out a while. I went at 8pm, the only thing edible was the sushi, which wasn't rolled very well, and fell apart when I tried to pick it up with the tongs. The hot seasoned shrimp was so old, it was mushy and had a horrible flavor. The beef and short ribs were completely dry and hard as a rock. The fruit was dry, pretty much everything had a gross sheen on it that looked like they had been sitting there for hours. I sat there for an hour trying to stomach the food, and I didn't see a single person replace any food. I tried to get some cake, even that was completely stale. For almost 15 dollars per person, this was a horrible waste of money. DISGUSTING! Go to supreme buffet on Dual Highway- 100X better!!!

For the price couldn’t be much better. Had great Sushi and SASHIMI. Not typical Chinese buffet style but good Japanese buffet style. Crab cakes actually real crab meat not fake. Talked to manager and appreciated the good comments and promised to keep getting better and won’t let fall off while keeping price reasonable. Had a little everything good ribs beef and variety for kids as well

Nice people and food quality is much better than Supreme Buffet. If you go when it's busy, the food is usually hotter and fresher. The tilapia is very heavy on the pepper. They need to go lighter on it as you can add pepper at your table if desired. The brussel sprouts don't need pepper either. Tends to be a bit heavy as well. Overall, it's worth the money.

If I'm in the mood for buffet in this town, I generally go to Supreme. At the time of this review, haven't been to Supreme in about an year, but I was always satisfied with the variety and flavor. At Supreme I would stay away from the Sushi and cold shrimp (always mushy). United doesn't have the amount or variety and I found it lacking a tad in flavor of the few items I had... but..Sushi was fresh and didn't make me sick. The cold shrimp was firm, not mushy. They have steamed whole crabs..which were delicious and more than worth the price of admission. They also had a greater selection of desserts. I will definitely return, if only for the crabs. Also...there were a lot of other items that I didn't have a chance to try.

Today was my first time coming to this buffet! I arrived around 4 ,or a little after, anyway, the food was horrible! Although the food was under those lamps the food was cold! I was not at all impressed! The only thing that impressed me and my companion was the waitress, so we gave her a $10 tip! Won’t be going back to this place ever again! I went with my lady to her job, decided to stop at this buffet before going home. Once I arrived I find out it's double the usual price just because it's the 4th of July. I didn't go because it was the 4th. I went to just eat, it wasn't worth the price, and it also wasn't posted online. The food was mediocre, double the price, and nothing special was served.

I absolutely love this place. The food is awesome, and I've never seen any restaurant put crabs on the buffet, I don't have patience to pick crabs but for crab lovers, it's a win. They have 5 soup varieties, normally 2 choices at restaurants. My family will be visiting for Labor Day and this is where we will dine. I highly recommend.

I’ve been here countless times with multiple family members when it was the Old Country Buffet. So I was excited to check out the new location after seeing it closed for some time. Anyway, my boyfriend and I were in the area at other stores and decided to walk in. We both work at restaurants and understand the struggle of restaurant service but were very upset and set on not returning or recommending it. My boyfriend found hair in his food. He decided to stop eating but I persuaded him to at least try the dessert station. There wasn’t much to choose from and again there was hair on top of one of the cakes. We grabbed our belongings and just left. We will not be returning.

Located in Hagerstown this establishment is where the old Ryan's Buffet used to be. The food is a combination of American and Asian choices includes grilled ribs which were outstanding and coconut shrimp which is also delicious. I would pass on the Mac and cheese. It wasn't great. I was there when it was first brought it out and by the time I reached my table it was cold. The decor is upscale and overall the physical appearance is great. Most of the staff are from Asia (Korean) I'd guess and don't speak or understand much English. If it weren't a buffet it would be difficult to go there. However I enjoyed my ribs salad fresh fruit and green beans. They also have a hibachi grill for made to order choices and sushi. I have no idea about cost for dinner. Seniors can eat until 3:30 for 7 or 8 dollars. I believe I would go again.

Lunch on a March Saturday; restaurant was very clean and well lit, service was prompt and the buffet price was an exceptional value. The food selection was notable with American, Chinese, sushi and hibachi were available with fresh fruit and salad options. Plates and silverware were clean. The food was hot, fresh and flavorful with a special acknowledgement of the rotisserie chicken. Definitely recommend!

Was really impressed overall, the staff was extremely polite and happy, the food was above average for what I expected for this area and the team did a fantastic job keeping the buffet clean and stocked. Given the other selections of buffets in Hagerstown this would be my number one recommendation. On a side note was very skeptical due to reviews being a chef I look for new places all the time when traveling the area this one sets the bar for all surrounding buffets! Great work team!

This was by far the best buffet I have ever been too. The entire staff is friendly and the food tastes great. Never do they rush you, they let you relax and take your time. Would definitely recommend this to those looking for a good place to eat!!!!

5 star (from 3) update! See below. Definitely edible, tolerable, but it CAN'T hold a candle to Supreme Buffet! It's where Ryan's always was, off Garland Groh Blvd. Ryan's was always well kept in their building, etc., but this place does keep its food neat and clean. Standard Chinese food, their crabs are bigger than Supreme's are, but their ribs are all beef and bitty small! Good place if you want to avoid pork - I don't recall seeing any there but I can't guarantee that, of course. Lots of beef and chicken. Good for a crew, fair amount of stuff for those who aren't entirely stuck on Chinese food. $11.99 on a weeknight. Still, not bad. This was my first time here. Oh, good desserts and fruits too! Mangoes even! Yeah the fruit was outstanding! EDIT: Ate there on a Saturday night - the food was piping hot and delicious! As always good wait staff, the buffet was clean and kept filled. I've entirely changed my mind. However, be prepared to pay well over $15 per person on the weekends. Seems dreadfully expensive to me but depending on how fancy you like your food it may be worth it to you. No mango on weekends tho...too bad!! Also, the larger ribs ARE pork. So there are pork products there. Just saying.

There was no wait when we went and the place seemed pretty packed. You do pay upfront before being seated which is odd because you don't know exactly what your getting into before paying. The food was fresh for the most part. Some of the veggies tasted a little old (i.e. the broccoli and green beans). They do have a Habachi with several options to choose from which was nice. They have a pretty nice selection for the price (approx. $10-$13 per person). There's plenty of party at the vicinity. It's also in a very convenient location with several small outlets nearby. I recommend trying them out. I'll most likely return within the next couple days
