The absolute WORST service ever.....quesadillas came out in no less than 45mins burned like charcoal. Servers cleaned tables by spraying tables instead of in a cloth to prevent chemicals from going on nearby customers food/drinks. Lack of organization and we inquired about our food the server said "oh i don't know, maybe the kitchen is just backed up." Music is extremely too loud, servers scratching their heads while serving, and I witnessed a busser remove a plate from a customer (without asking) that was not finished with his meal. We also had to ask for napkins and for refills. Definitely will NOT be returning EVER!

I frequent this spot. Good location n nice price to quality ratio. I Love the Tuesday pizza n wednesday burger 1/2 price specials. They r usually quite fast and delicious and the staff is very pleasant. Tuesday is trivia night so be prepared for that. It can be busy.

Absolutely the worst service in Mt. Vernon. If I could give less than one star, you had better believe I would. I have been here several times and each time it is progressively worse. We were greeted with a hostess wearing a hoodie with the hood up who told us to sit anywhere. The restaurant was practically empty, with only one other booth occupied and five people at the bar. We waited for more than 5 minutes and our hostess did not return. We had no drinks and no menus. Our visit today was the last straw. We will not be returning again.

A nice sport's bar with a surprisingly broad menu selection. The chicken parmesan was EXCELLENT. A real chicken breast in a chunky tomato sauce. Surprisingly good!!! Service was great. This place is a bit loud. Great to have drinks and catch up with friends or to watch the game. It is difficult to hear so I would not recommend for a date night.

Sports bar with excellent food. Service was prompt and friendly. I apologize for forgetting to photograph the food, but I assure you that the presentation of the dishes was good, but not pretentious. I had a very good tomato bisque soup with lump crab meat. My sister-in-law had lump crab cake which, she assured me, was excellent. I had a a very good veggie wrap with a side of of delightfully spiced stingy onion rings. I wish every place that serves onion rings would come to this place and make their onion rings the way Turps makes them. My wife had a Bistro Salad that had apples and pine nuts in addition to the usual salad ingredients. She enjoyed it.

Till now I was twice in the Turp's, first time staff was really nice and the food was excellent. The second time I sat again down at the bar and ordered a beer, when the male bartender asked me for my ID. Since I never had problems with that I just carried my german ID-card with me. But he said he thinks my ID-card is a fake, because he didn't know how german ID-cards look like ! After I even couldn't convince him with my german driver license that I'm way over 21, he missed offering me a seat away from the bar and kicked me out. He was really rude. Because I didn't wanna start to verbally fight with him, I left the bar pretty pissed off!! I won't go there again! And I just hope this doesn't happen to all persons without an american ID !!

In town for a show at the Modell Lyric and stopped in for an early dinner before the show. We came here because of good reviews and we were not disappointed. Jerell was a very pleasant and attentive bartender and the food was delicious. Hugh portions for extremely reasonable price. The tomato crab bisque soup is a must, 10 out of 10. I will absolutely be back!

Good sports bar food. Burgers and pizzas are solid. Loaded sweet potato tots are amazing. Service is slow about coming around, plan on being a while prior promptly ask for your check.

Not sure what all the fuss is about. When I went here on a Tuesday, they had some sort of pizza special and some drink specials. Then again, this was a first date with a girl so I was more worried about how that was going rather than the food. The pizza came from the shop next door (which people seemed to love) and it was delicious. Although the prosciutto didn't seem too authentic, the overall taste was awesome and delicious...The server was a pretty chill guy too. I haven't had any other their other food yet to be able to really rate this. But if I'm near Penn Station any time soon and I need pizza, I'll probably come here.

Good food and good drink specials. I gave this a 1 star because on google and other sites, rail drinks are listed as normal rail drinks. But I ordered a Black Russian and a tequila sunrise and was charged double happy hour price because apparently they do not include these as rail drinks.... but when I asked why the waitress just told me "well what do you want me to do about it" ummm get a manager duh! Disrespectful and crazy service. If your not going to include normal rail drinks in happy hour, either tell the customer before you charge them or have a list of rail drinks you include in your happy hour. If you come here make sure you ask for prices first. Do not assume anything.

Some of the cheapest pints of beer over the bar I've seen in Baltimore, starting at $2 a Boh at the right time of day. Besides cheap tall boys, this place has great wings and nice potato skins to go with it. They also have a huge array of options for burgers, like duck, lamb, turkey, and veggie patties, and the patties are half off on Wednesday and can cost as little as 8 bucks for a full burger with everything you want on it. Favorite local place to grab a bite, from freshman year onward.

What you see is what you get. Turps is a great go to bar in the neighborhood and is priced with the struggling student in mind. The food is great and the menu very diverse! The ribs were an especially creative version of a wet dry rub! I loved every bite. Turps certainly is not the place to diet!

They have regular day-of-the-week-based specials, fairly priced beer, and decent pub grub. They are a little uptight about allowing you to take home leftovers when you get the specials. I get not allowing carryout on the specials. But not even allowing a doggie bag for a whole pizza? Too intense. Has been the deciding point in me not going multiple times.

Turps had been a place I have tried out several times due to the fact that it is near the university of UB. Pro: large menu and the food is relatively inexpensive Con: service is terrible, it take forever for someone to help you when you first sit down and then trying to get your check at the end of a meal is like pulling teeth. I have personally seen the servers leave the restaurant with my credit car before. Also, I have had to spend extra time at every other meal because the receipts are wrong or have been added up incorrectly. They have a policy for discounts if you bring a student id, but on my last visit my server refused to honor the discount. Note: due to the poor quality of service they have added a mandatory gratuity amount for certain meals, it is inconsitently applied and if I didn't have to consistently wait thirty minutes to an hour for my check I would tip more.

My friends and i are regulars, we come every monday for taco night for the last 8 months where you can get 3 gourmet AMAZING tacos for $5. We always clear a bill of over $100 between all of us when we go in there because we love the food the atmosphere and the wait staff. We went last night and found out that there is NEW MANAGEMENT that had the bright idea to change the menu completely. They have completely taken away taco night and you cannot even get the good gourmet tacos anymore they ONLY have fish tacos ...AT A BAR AND GRILL ?!?! When previously beef and chicken were also available. So last night i had to settle for some disgusting nachos which i ended up returning. No one at my entire table of 7 people enjoyed the food and we dont plan on returning until these managers get some sense and bring back taco night!!! If the issue is the cost hell up the price but dont take away the reason people come to Turp's on a Monday night!!!!!! My party is now researching a new Monday evening meet spot with all of the great food, deals, people, wait staff, drinks and atmosphere that turps HAD. RESPOND WHEN YOU BRING BACK TACO NIGHT. THE NACHOS ARE DISGUSTING. THE NEW WAIT STAFF HAS NO CHARACTER AND IF UOU KNEW WGAT DROVE YOUR REVENUE YOU WOULDNT CHANGE WHAT THE PEOPLE OF BALTIMORE LOVE ABOUT YOU.

Awesome place to stop for a hangout or just for a beer and meal. Very good prices(how do they stay open???) TVs at your booth and everywhere in betwn. The service was top notch. I had the Tomato crab bisque which was the cheapest and yet the best I've ever had. Large enough that I couldn't finish the also delicious Monte Cristo sammi.

1 of my favorite lil' spots to go to in Bmore! Positive, fun vibes. Cool people. The food's just OK. Besides the Fish Tacos which I'm addicted to. The least good thing is the fact that you will constantly have to flag your waitress down because they never come back to check on you. They are nice though (unless you tell them something they're doing wrong, then they get snappy and lie and say they told the manager you requested to see him when in fact they didn't).

This is a very nice place to check out a game on a Sunday. I attend school across the street from Turp's so I'm there alot. The burgers, steamed shrimp and wings are very good. That's what I usually order when I go here. They have a variety of wings.

My first experience there was pretty good. A little cramped and very loud, even for a sports bar. But I sat at the bar and the service was good. The chips ate terrific and the 2131 burger was delicious, but the other sliders were just eh. Had my eye on all the food around me - loaded tots, penne pasta, pizza and nachos - and all looked really good. I'd go back, but not on college night.

I loved the food, atmosphere, and the service. I had wings, pizza, and the waffle fries. The wings were crispy and the mild sauce was good. Not too spicy, but there was a little kick. The waffle fries were seasoned and the pizza was amazing!! I had a small which is too big to be a personal but too small to share with more than one person. $2 bohs; can't go wrong with that!
