Went there in August 2019. Went around 1 in the afternoon. The entire restaurant was almost deserted. Only three other patrons in the place. The wait staff we had was super duper friendly. Did not rush us and we enjoy talking to him. The food was delicious, but very much overpriced for the small portions. Otherwise great experience. But not planning to go back because it's just too expensive

This is basically a knockoff olive garden. It's okay for "traditional" American Italian food. The draft "craft" beer prices are very good @ ~$5 for a pint of IPA (not a special IPA, but something that generally appears across the country).

Wonderful place to visit the food is scrumptious. The waiters and waitresses are very knowledgeable of the menu. Have a beer or possibly a mixed drink they also offer wine. Now what more could you want? Just remember this place is$$$but well worth your dollar.

Eggplant parmesan consisted of 5 discs that looked like they came out of a box found in the frozen food section. All bread and hardly any eggplant. Salad was similar to the Olive Garden chain, so nothing special but not bad. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. Bartender was very pleasant.

Decided to take my family of 5 out for dinner and spend a nice evening out. They had a decent sized table of adults in the same section and they were so loud and obnoxious. My mother who has hearing aids could not hear anything we were saying because of the background noise and I made one comment to the server and had faith that management would control the situation to ensure the rest of their guests could enjoy their dinner and company as well. No luck with that so we boxed everything up said our goodbyes to one another and went to leave. Stopped by to let management know that her assistance would have been greatly appreciated and explained why and she just looked at me like I was speaking another language. Will not return because there are way to many options with capable management out there and it’s a shame because this was a favorite of ours.

My family and I have visited this restaurant on several occasions as we are a military family stationed in the area. The food and service are often times quite good. However, on tonight, I placed a to-go order at 7:15pm while at soccer practice with my kids. I arrived at approximately 7:30/7:35pm to pick up my $80 order. After several patrons frequent the restaurant, place their order in-person, and then leave with their food in-hand, a gentleman who appears to be the manager tells me that the cook over-cooked my steak and that it had to be recooked (lie #1). At approximately 7:50pm, the young lady at the register tells me that they were preparing my steak (not necessarily a lie, but not the full truth). A few minutes later, the restaurant’s phone rings and I overhear the young lady’s phone call (at the register) that another patron had been given the wrong order (my order). Approximately 15-20 minutes later, the lady who was given the wrong order returns with bag-in-hand. It is now 8:10/8:15pm. The young lady takes the bag to the kitchen and returns a few minutes later with my order. I politely asked her is the food fresh and was it my order that was given to the other patron (the lady that returned with the food). The employee responds “yes.” I asked were they giving me food that was returned by another customer who had already left the restaurant? The young lady stated that it was indeed my food that was given to the other customer but once they realized what had happened, they immediately began cooking everything over from scratch. My question is, “why did the employee retrieve the returned bag from the customer and went to the kitchen prior to giving me my food which was supposedly fresh?” When I got home to my 8-month pregnant wife and 2-year old son, my breadsticks were cold, the crab wontons were cold, the crab dip and other bread were cold, and my two oldest kids who had just finished soccer practice were still hungry. The $80, lies, and cold food was not worth it. I understand that mistakes happen. Just be honest and everything would have been better. I had to wait anyway for the lady to return with the food (probably so that they could give me the salad and other food without preparing everything from scratch) which is a Public Health issue. I am disappointed in the service and dishonesty of the two employees. I will not return unless it’s to have a conversation.

A few years ago this was my favorite restaurant Last night we chose to make the dry to Aberdeen from my home on the other side of the bridge. Parking was readily available. We were seated right away. Is Olive tree does not have a good view no matter where seated. Our waiter a young man got our menus and salad plates and silverware along with our cloth naquet's and took this to RC he mumbled his name and I had to confirm I repeating it back to him. I drink order was fine and came promptly right after that he brought us in salad. Play store water for dinner and it arrived in a reasonable amount time considering we Had salad to nibble on. While enjoying salad my cloth napkin drop to the floor rendering it useless so 5 minutes later when our dinner arrived I ask I waiter for A new Napkin. And paper napkins. I asked 3 more times for paper napkins. $43.67 give or take a few cents. Finally when we asked for the check, he replied acting surprised that we didn't want coffee or dessert. My response was simple and explained his 8% tip (every one starts at 21%). Chris, you couldn't get me a single paper napkin, I doubt uppity could handle a dessert order. His eyes dated to the floor. He wished me a nice evening as my spouse had left to start our car. I thanked him but he needn't looked at ne again. The food was delicious cooked to perfection. The portions are very suitable. I think the owners need a new hiring manager.

In spite of mixed reviews from various sources, I decided to give this restaurant a try as I'm fairly new to the area. The Olive Tree of Aberdeen surpassed my expectations. The food was delicious, the service friendly and efficient. The only downside was the noise. The acoustics just seem to reverberate, causing a very loud atmosphere. So, if you can live with some conversational noise while dining...you'll be very pleased with this dining destination.

After the Cheesecake Factory, this is my favorite restaurant. My daughter usually takes me here for mother’s day or my birthday and the food is never disappointing! I don’t like Italian but the food here is so so good. We use to always get the crab dip but switched over to the crab wontons as they are delicious. Ever waiter or waitress we have had over the last 2/3 years we’ve gone have been amazing! Absolute best service you can get! The crab and shrimp stuffed tort is my favorite and you can’t go wrong with classic spaghetti.

Me, my husband, our 5 kids and my aunt went. It cost me just over $200. I feel spending that much for 1 dinner, I should have been having that "OMG this is so good feeling". It just wasn't there tonight.

Seriously the absolute best food I've ever eaten! We moved to Aberdeen today but our moving truck hasn't arrived so we stayed at a hotel for the night nearby. The front desk highly recommended this place and because it was close and we didn't want to do anymore driving tonight, we decided to go for it. BEST DECISION EVER. First off, the mozzarella sticks are the bomb, and I've tried tonsssss of them from all over the place. I never thought manicotti could get better, but was I wrong- I found the best. I was surprised when I opened the to go bag back in our room and found a side salad and 2 breadsticks for every entree we ordered, I thought eh that's nice but I'll set them aside. After trying the entree, I had to try the breadsticks and salad as well and dear lord I've never been more full in my life. I am beyond excited that our new house is close to this place and even if it wasn't I would drive hours just to get it. I would give this place 100 stars if I could.

Was very disappointed in the Olive Tree. Was completely overpriced. Over $35 for 2 crab cakes that had filler in them. Was charged an extra $5 so my boyfriend could also have bread sticks. Even though we didn't need any extra than what they brought us the first time. The crab pretzel was pretty good, but again overpriced for the amount of crab meat. Sodas were $3. Overall spent $80 for 2 people. Could have gotten much more for our money elsewhere. Won't be back.

Yes the name makes it sound like they are imitating another Italian restaurant chain. However the food here is good to very good depending on what you order. The shrimp and crab tortellini with link sauce had a very good flavor. Portions are large so you can take leftovers home. I was at the restaurant with a large party and our waitress was training that night. She was very attentive and did very well.

Love this restaurant! My husband's family and I enjoy going here once or twice a year. The food is very good. The service is excellent. They recently renovated and so the atmosphere is open, and relaxing, but modern. They don't normally accept reservations, but on Mother's Day weekend they will, which was good because they were busy. If you like Italian food with some seafood options, this is the place for you!

I haven't lived in town in about 2 years. Seems like they've changed the menu or chef. Definitely not as good as it used to be. The crab dip is way too cheesy and greasy. The crab soup had no crab in it. The atmosphere looks better than before though. The salad, dressing, and bread-sticks are still very good!

Checked this place out because it was close to my hotel and had good reviews. I left very impressed. The food was delicious and I felt it was priced fairly. The cocktail I ordered was great, if maybe a couple of bucks more than I would have expected. The restaurant is clean and modern and the service was great. Big shout out to Brooke who recommended the blackened chicken and took care of me. I will be back!

The food was great, as well as having a very attentive server. The atmosphere in the section they seated us got very loud when birthday parties arrived. Mid-way through our meal, the swarm of flies arrived as well. We had to keep shooing them away from our delicious plates of pasta. The manager stopped at our table to ask how our meal was and we told her delicious, but the flies swarming the table was quite gross. She blamed people walking in and out letting flies in every time they had them under control, which tells me flies are an ongoing issue and could potentially mean poor kitchen/storage conditions. The doors that customer's walk through are an outside door, lobby, then another door, which is designed to prevent bugs from getting inside. I probably would never have written a review, except I felt the manager did not take the fly situation seriously, and got very annoyed and defensive that we brought it up. We will not be back, because I would not trust that there are not more flies in the kitchen breeding or landing on food sitting in the window.

I ordered the cheese steak pizza. It was great. The only thing i will change is having a side of marinara sauce to dip or offer Alfredo Sauce or Marinara added to the pizza. The pizza was slightly dry. Other than that: great service and friendly staff.

My family loves Olive Tree After 5 hours of driving, we ordered 3 entrees to go and the quality as well as taste was not what we have experienced before. The shrimp carbonara was bland, not good. The crab and shrimp with asparagus didn't have much taste either Roman holiday was fine, the fettuccine didn't have any sauce, so I threw that away I probably won't order take out again. I have in the past without issues, but based on this experience, I'll dine in going forward

If only it was possible to rate negative stars to bring down their overall rating I would. The steak I ordered might as well have been a dog's chew toy. The waitress seemed far less concerned with timely service as she was with literally anything else going on. Actually took the time to send a concerned email to management of which they've completely ignored. Will never ever go back even if I'm actually starving to death. At least I would die with my self-respect in tact.

I usually don't like crab cakes at all but when the server suggested it as the best thing on the menu I figured I'd try it again, and am super glad I did. This thing was super delish and made me change my mind about crab cakes. It was packed full of crab and seasoned perfectly. You won't be disappointed.

Thoroughly enjoyed the new decor. I hadn't visited here in some time and wasn't aware they'd renovated. It has a whole new look. Very tasteful and welcoming. The waitstaff as always extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Especially our waitress who single handedly handled a lunchtime retirement gathering of about 20 people. I regret I forgot her name but I will get it because I plan to return soon!

Excellent service and tasty food... this trip. i avoid alcohol and bars & have been basically begging for the Fish Tacos to get back on the regular menu and take out menu for what seems like years now. our server was kind enough to ask for management permission to serve a "bar only" menu item to our table 30ft from the bar, and this time they said Yes! Thanks so much for taking the time to help get the food I really wanted and make it a wonderful visit. Top notch this trip. Will be back soon!

Our first dinner at the Olive Tree did not disappoint! All of the food we got was fantastic. We got shrimp and crab penne, baked ziti, crabcakes, ny strip steak, crab wontons, chocolate cake and cheese cake! They also give you salad and bread sticks, with homemade dressing. Everything was delicious, and looked very appealing on the plate. The olive tree is one of the best restaurants I have been to in harford county. The restaurant is tastefully decorated inside with a large bar area and tons of seating. The staff was very polite and knowledgeable. I will be returning and will definitely recommend the olive tree to my friends and family.

Delicious food and very cozy atmosphere. The carbonara with chicken added is my favorite Italian dish and they did it justice here. We originally thought it was just like Olive Garden, which it is close. However, the breadsticks had a lot more seasoning and flavor, as well as more of a home made touch rather than heated from frozen look. Crab dip was wonderful. Service was exceptional.

I love this place. I stay away only because of the calories, but my wife and I usually get the blacken chicken alfredo. Having tried the other two top Italian places in Harford country, this place is hands down our favorite. The cream of crab is one of my top two in Harford and of those the most consistently great. Their courtesy salad and breadsticks (they actually only come with main entrees order) is easily a meal on its own and we love their house made salad dressing. They have good service and I’ve never had a complaint. We don’t try too many entrees, but every time we have had their blackened chicken alfredo, well it’s really just amazing and you should try it. Just do it. I honestly don’t have the words to describe it. Its really delicious. My wife would say a party in your mouth, but I’d say it’s an explosion of flavor. And did I mention their cream of crab soup? If I had any complaint it’s that I actually don’t like their remodel. It used to be booths against the walls and tables in the center. Now it’s a more open format with bench seats against the walls with most costumers facing toward the center of the room. It’s not bad, but I like the privacy of a booth. So expect that, but please don’t let that dissuade you from going. If they keep serving their food the way that they do I’d eat sitting on the floor. It’s great so go.

Let me say first that I was super hungry. However, everything had a unique flavor but still very, very good. We got fantastic service. The portions were large and decently priced. The breadsticks were crispy and buttery. The house dressing was crisp and flavorful. The Alfredo was creamy and had just the right amount of garlic. And the spaghetti and meatballs were like none I had ever tasted. Delicious!

I have gone to this restaurant many times over the last more than a decade, but service has really gone down hill lately. Our latest experience had us waiting twenty minutes in-between refills, with half of our table simply having water, or for any interaction at all. No complicated drinks. We're a simple family of five, with three kids. Our server would disappear for ten minutes or more without any sign at all. I can't say the restaurant was overwhelmed because the server for the front of our section seemed to be very attentive. The food was on par, and what we've come to expect from the place, but after this abysmal experience it will be a while before we give them another go.

I called in an order for pickup. My order was completed on time. They have a new room in the back of the restaurant for pickup orders. The staff was friendly the area was clean. I do eat in the dining room about once a month and the staff has always been very helpful and friendly. Even on the busiest days. It can be a little pricey but you get a lot of food, you will not leave here hungry. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Starving late at night and no place to go after our wedding reception-we stop in about 30 minutes before closing time. We were welcomed in and seated in the bar area and told the kitchen would make whatever we wanted. The food was fresh and excellently prepared. They never tried to hurry us out and were so genuine in their welcoming that we felt comfortable. This is the second time this restaurant has provided me with a late night meal right at closing and they never fail to impress. The seafood on both occasions was fresh and expertly prepared. Solid Italian food. Comparable to an olive garden. The salad comes quite large and so do most of the other portions. No wait when I was there but I did sit at a high top in the bar. Has specials but not sure how often. Only lunch specials when I was there and they were all seafood that seemed appealing.

The food was good as usual the staff however, was something to be desired. The daytime manager was incredibly rude making it an issue that my friends had their baby in a stroller. She said it was an issue and she would have to see if she could seat us! The restaurant was not busy by any means. Unbeknownst to her, I was with my restaurant GM and I was his Front of House manager. We were stunned at her inappropriate comments, expressions and demeanor. Our server kept forgetting about us and then proceeded to rush us so she could cash out and leave. This was not normal based on our previous visits but, if this is the direction they are heading, we will not patron this establishment again.

Okay place. Used to be much better. Ingredients don't taste as fresh as they were years ago. Got the cream of crab soup and it was like thick gravy, with no actual crab meat. Lasagna and crab dip were pretty good. Probably won't return, but it's okay if you're looking for Italian in the area.

Exceptional Food and Service! A nice fine dining place in Aberdeen. I just wish they had a better wine selection, it's very limited and our server said, "eh, its wine", when I asked about a wine list.

Olive Tree has some amazing food. On top of that, the portions are gigantic and the food is reasonably priced. I take my family here each time they come to town. It’s professional and modern atmosphere gives Aberdeen a breath of fresh air.

We had the best service from our waiter. He was so good, so friendly, and he had a pleasant smile. He had our food out to us in a timely manor. I wish I could remember his name. My husband had lasagne and I had chicken marsala. For an appetizer we enjoyed a flatbread that had mozz cheese , tomato, fresh basil and olive oil. We enjoyed everything. Of course we brought our dinners home. We weren't able to eat it all!!! Thanks for a pleasant experience!!!!!

Good food! The strawberry lemonade was also great. Prices are fairly decent. The sauce is the sweeter type (which I like). The beef orzo soup was amazing. Lost a star as the chairs are probably the worst chairs I've ever sat in...ever. hard and the back of them are painful. Waitress also did bare minimum. I was super thirsty and never got a refill. Didn't offer to box over my leftovers and tried to take my breadsticks before the meal started.
