REVIEWS OF The Food Market IN Maryland

David Lucas Marin

Visited for the first time during restaurant week. Cozy atmosphere. Wide variety of menu options to suite every palate. Pleasant service. Highly recommended!

Zo

My sister and I went there for restaurant week. The food was amazing, the service was even better. It's definitely one of my best over all experiences at a restaurant I've had in a long time. I was able to get a Harvey wallbanger, it was …

Carrie Wang

We ordered Buffalo pickles, the baltimore club, and general nick's cauliflower. Everything tasted so good! We were visiting MD for the night and thought I should have some real crab cakes. Initially, I didn't have much expectation for crab cakes (sorry Maryland crabs

Casey Soneira

The food and service here is great! Inventive dishes executed very well. The mozzarella sticks and fried oysters...fantastic. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because the tables are packed so close together it felt like we were eating with the people on either side of us. I'm all about being friendly with other restaurant patrons but it was so loud in there too that it was difficult to engage with them. I'll definitely be going back but perhaps at an off peak time.

matthew gladstone

Food ....look up plebian and flavorless in the dictionary....there is a pic of this place

Max Morawski

Amazing food, though pricey. On the avenue, which is always nice to walk down. Friendly staff, and it's actually not that hard to get a table outside peak hours. The menu rotates, though some favorites persist, giving you a different experience each time. My one complaint is the noise level can get quite high, but the food definitely outweighs that. The crab soup is the best I've ever had.

Luis Montes

Cozy and hip place. Great food and service

Lori Burton

The food was amazing, the space is inviting and the service was great.

Carl Butler

Great experience. Completely worth it. Will definitely be back again.

The Food Market is a real gem. The restaurant's atmosphere is modern and energetic. The food is excellent. Each member of my party stated that their meals were exceptionally delicious. The restaurant's decor is artistically pleasing, with modern dining chairs that are functional but not comfortable. My meal consisted of; appetizer, peppered tuna, main course, duck pieces, and dessert, a scrumptious bread pudding. Each dish was a culinary delight. The tuna was very succulent, tender and fresh. The duck pieces were prepared two ways; a quarter portion was fried (crispy, moist and tender) and several breast pieces were lightly roasted to perfection. There were only two single occupancy (one male and one female) restrooms in the area that my party was sitting. So, people were waiting to use the restroom. Even with the heavy traffic; the restroom was clean and well maintained. The restaurant provides free valet parking, just pull up to the front door and the attendant will happily park your car.

Hsuan-lei Sung

Wasn't too impressed by the food but I think it's probably one of the best in Baltimore. I also think they put excessive amount of salt on their bread making it hardly edible.

Monia

The menu choices were not so impressive, but I know they change it all the time so it might be better next time we go. The cocktails we ordered were small but strong and delicious. I am not sure I'll be coming back for the food though.

Ryan Straub

Had a great meal and great service. Would come back.

Jeannette Kirchner

What an awesome spot in Hampden for some top notch eats. Really great dishes that cover the whole spectrum along with clever, tasty cocktails. I had lots of vegetarian options and while I typically frown on salads, their green salad was a wonderful, fresh treatment and absolutely delicious.

Patrick Terhune

Really good food and very good service. Was a bit noisy and pricing is s bit high. Quality ingredients and perfectly nice serving size so there is value ...just know what you will be paying. Will definitely return.

Gerry Sipes

Great food. Loud

SuperSaiyanSin

Everyone enjoys their job and it really shows, in turn that provides you with an experience where the people genuinely care about your needs and want to accommodate.

Warriors Den

If you want to be full and have some amazing food go here it’s good

Michelle Emond

The scallop entree was superb, as was the lovebug cocktail. Make a reservation! This place stays busy.

Krista Hanson

Overrated but good. Had the swordfish, tacos, Caesar salad, and Gucci lemonade.

Antonio Johnson

The food is great and the staff are also great Excellent service. Food far passed expectations. Highly recommend!!!

Jamison Ousley

Very original cocktail list and menu. The atmosphere is great, and the staff are always friendly. I usually eat at the bar, and Sam, Anna and Spencer always take great care of me.

James Glazier

Had to wait 30 minutes after our reservation and the noise makes conversation difficult, but, once seated, the waiters are helpful and the food is very good with a huge variety of options. If you are not in a hurry and can tolerate noise, the food is worth a visit.

Janet Gomez

Good food. French toast dippers are awesome as well as the Bloody Mary

brent BROOKS

Great place i purposed here management and staff were excited for us, great food and atmosphere service was great.

Nat Tee

Went for happy hour and almost ordered of everything! The mussels, fries, shrimp, lobster and Amish pretzels were delish. And I love The 75 cocktail, perfect drink for those that don't like it too sweet. Staff was super friendly, can't wait to return.

scott meek

Went around 10pm to grab a quick bite and a drink and was awed with both. Got a seat at the bar, order they glorious apps, a perfect infused gin drink and enjoyed the atmosphere. No TV's there, which was nice. Good people watching but was focused on the food and the long list of delicious sounding things on the entree portion of the menu. Will be back to try them all.

Kisha Peterson

The food is amazing! Service was good too! We are from PG County but will definitely be back. The shrimp and grits were the best I’ve ever had!

Andrew Clark

My wife and I finally made it to the Food Market after nearly a year of living in the city. All the great things friends had to say we found to be true: awesome food; equally great staff.

Kanak Gupta

The creative menu and the fact that all of the dishes stands up to their enticing descriptions makes the price tag on them seem quite worth it. The servers are all very polite and friendly. I especially enjoyed the music played at the restaurant. Would recommend this place for a fancy night out with friends, or a date you're trying to impress.

Gordon Trapp

I like the atmosphere. It's perfect for a special occasion or a just-because nice dinner.

Christian Lopez

I love this place. Everything is fresh and delicious here. The fries, shrimp, lobster, and Amish pretzels were terrific. Staff was super friendly, can't wait to return.

Jackie Filson

Loved this spot - kinda pricey but really delicious with unique options like juicy buffalo fried pickles and french onion soup onion rings!

Alma Thompson

I've been for both dinner and brunch and the food has been fantastic for both. For dinner we tried the buffalo pickles, bringing, and the scallops. The bronzino was a little too salty, but everything else was great. For brunch we tried the market iced coffee, poinsettia, French toast dippers, chicken and biscuits, and the short rib Benedict's. Everything at brunch was fantastic and the extremely affordable! The poinsettia was made in a pint glass and was definitely not lacking alcohol. The French toast dippers came with a maple cream cheese dip that was great. The short rib Benedict had a great glaze of the short rib, but I felt like you had to break the components of the down to be able to eat all of the components in one bite. The chicken and waffles were the best that I've ever had and the cheesy potato casserole with it was stunning. My only complaint is that the restaurant itself gets too loud.

Ramsey Sotir

I will not eat (or attempt to) here again. This is the 3rd time I have made reservations and still had to wait over 30 minutes to be seated. We had an 8:30pm reservation; we did not get a text saying our table was ready until 9:15pm. At which point, we were already enjoying our apps at the Avenue. What a joke! Also the hostess told us it would be a couple minutes and that we should wait at the bar. The bar was packed... so the hostess was recommending we awkwardly wait for 45 minutes standing behind a packed bar where ppl are eating. SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT NIGHT OUT!! In addition to their ridiculous reservation policies, the food is inconsistent at best. I ordered a 40 dollar wagu steak, which was almost inedible; my girlfriend ordered the poke dish and they left off 2 of the described toppings, despite that fact that the table next to us had just received a complete dish. There are just too many good places to eat in Hampden. Food Market is simply not worth the crazy wait (even with reservations!), high cost, inconsidtent food, and sub par loud atmosphere. Better options: Foraged, Dillion's, The Avenue, Pauli Gee's, 13.5.... just to name a few! Food market is trash!

dee k

A bit crammed, and music is too loud. Also, the portion size is a joke. Still better than woodberry kitchen though.

Safrianna DeGroat

Went in twice during a vacation and was not at all disappointed. Staff was attentive. Food came out quickly. Had the Amish Pretzels and cheese, Chad's Beets, the quinoa oatmeal, and an omelette. Everything was delicious and already well seasoned. Atmosphere was adorable. If I visit Hampden again, I will definitely go again!

Priscilla Kelly

Do you want fresh ingredients, a great atmosphere, and amazing flavors ? Definitely come here for brunch or a date night out for dinner. Note: Dinner prices are high, but the quality is worth it. Brunch is even better. Also, if you are decide to come during a weekend- make reservations for dinner.

Terence McAuliffe

The best food in Baltimore. Drinks, brunch, happy hour and dinner. All in the top 5 for the city. Best overall no doubts.

Sherry Kalish

Delicious as always . The Food Market never disappoints! The spicy cheesey, herbs, creamy shrimp was one of the best dishes I have ever eaten. The sauce was amazing and not heavy. Cocktails on point as always,

‘ CCK5018 ‘

This place has just regular food with a twist. Very exciting. I ordered apple pie on my French toast, and it's insanely good. The service Is great, and the decor and atmosphere is really cool. There is an open kitchen where you can see the chefs cooking. I recommend

Marion Nelson

Due to the relatively high prices, I skipped on the more extravagant, but very tempting alcoholic beverages and deluxe appetizers, and enjoyed a cup of ice coffee and a plate of the Food Market's take on Rancheros. The coffee was simple and enjoyable, though I'd have loved for some cold brew or espresso options. The Rancheros, were phenomenal: crispy mini tortillas topped with mini mountains of pulled meats, eggs, beans, and a wonderful array of sauces and spices

Scott Schroth

Amazing food! Out waiter was awesome and would highly recommend to others

Hanifah Muwakil W

Not very taste, well plated, not seasoned well. I ordered 2 entrees and my companions also orders appetizers and entrees. The one appetizer was very good. I will not return

Nancy Gough

Small restaurant in Hampden with excellent, but pricey, menu. Definitely make reservations. Everything I had or tasted was excellent, such as the lamb tenderloin appetizer and cauliflower main dish. I would definitely go to this restaurant again.

Tara Playfair

Definitely our go to brunch spot in Baltimore. Be sure to make your reservations as it can get pretty packed. Try almost everything on the menu (which is a bit seasonal so something’s won’t be there all the time) the Amish soft pretzels with fondue cheese, avocado toast, buffalo pickles and fried green tomatoes are a must as well as the crab Benedict and fried oyster omelette. Also their craft cocktails and shots are a must (not to self: pancake shot).

L P

Had Girls night out for dinner and it was excellent. I ordered beef short ribs with mashed potatoes. And for an appetizer I ordered the big ole mozzarella sticks. Yummy! My Girlfriend's ordered the crab cake platter and the lil crab pot pie. Oh and my friends said the cream of crab soup was delicious too. Kudos to the Food Market, I will definitely be back! And the free valet parking was a huge PLUS on that windy Baltimore night!

PATRICK CURLEY

Great food nice atmosphere.

Ksenia T

Waited on main courses for 25 min for Steak medium rare , and duck medium , we ordered appetizer too so I don’t know why it took that long. Plus I can’t say it was worth waiting. Food was ok but nothing oustanding . Service was very dry , server definitely noticed that food was taking too long but was trying to avoid our table instead. It was our first and a last time there.

Chris Miller

So many good food choices you can't go once. Great atmosphere, great drinks... Can't say enough about this place

Ginie Holochwost

Fun and trendy but solid cooking, menu, and service. One if my favorite places

Scott Schelp

Amazing brunch! Great food and good proportions for the size.

Kojo Boateng

I kinda have a love:hate relationship with the food market. I have been there more than my fair share. Personally, I think their food is over priced across the board, I have enjoyed certain items in the past such as when they had a cheese steak and their steak frites are good. HH is also not a bad deal.

Gregory Trakas

Lobster boom boom and a old fashioned. Match made in heaven. This place is always a must if you're in Baltimore. Great food, friendly staff and a nice crowd. Chef Chad knows what he's doing

Emily Suminski

I've been to quite a few resturants in Baltimore, and this is the best brunch I've tried yet! The food is amazing.

Kirsten Neus

The food here is SO GOOD. Everything we had was awesome and I love the interesting variety on the menu. For brunch they brought out hot fresh donut holes instead of a bread basket and they were out of this world good. The avocado toast with smoked salmon and a runny egg was also great, as were the ginger bread pancakes. They have some really fun cocktails too.

Damon Griffin

Food was awesome and excellent service to boot!

Tom Dadant

This was such an amazing evening. There were six of us. We ordered 4 appetizers and they were all awesome. Then each of us had a different dinner. They were all so good we each shared with everyone else. The food is totally off the chart delicious - I had a great wild boar dinner. Taylor, our most personable and wonderful server was totally on point and didn't miss a beat. Try this place if you like great food. You won't be disappointed!

Mega-Bruin

My bf took me here for my birthday dinner and it was amazing. I loved the different styles on the menu. It was a nice classy spot with elegant food dishes. Everything tasted delicious. The service was awesome and the atmosphere were just right. Next time we are in the area we are definitely going back!

Robert Baker

Nice and laid back....a little pricey but worth it

Reid Soto

I sure wish I had found this place sooner! The experience was amazing from the time my husband and I walked in until the time we left.

Julie Simon

Staff wonderful! Food delish!! All around great except seems like AC failed towards end of our experience with wasn't welcomed in this heat wave

Randa

The food and atmosphere make this place. Parking is difficult, so if you have reservations arrive 1/2 hr early to find a spot.

Eric Skelton

Great food, not too expensive

Brooke Zalis

We enjoyed a family night out to the Food Market. The food was delicious. The popcorn was my daughter's favorite! Our server was attentive. The valet is very convenient and they were very quick, especially considering it was raining.

Code Red

The food is DELICIOUS. The kitchen is super speedy and the service is great. The short rib is very tender as it should be and the apps and small plate items were very good.

Stephanie Holstein

Everything is fresh and delicious here. Had the cheesy, garlicky, windy, savory and a few more adjectives shrimp which was amazing. I was dipping our freshly baked bread in the sauce and alternating between that and the EVOO with herbs which accompanied the bread. As an entree the stuffed swordfish was fresh, cooked perfectly and something I would absolutely order again. The most difficult thing is trying to narrow down what to order although it doesn't seem like you can go wrong here.

David Ottenheimer

Every dish we tried here was delicious. We shared 6 tiny/small plates and 2 large plates between 4 people so we could enjoy a wide selection, and it ended up being the perfect amount of food. Cauliflower and tuna were highlights. Green seafood curry with crispy rice was exceptional. For dessert, heath bar bread pudding was out of this world.

Tim Faass

Went here for a friend’s birthday and their cocktails are great. Got the Betty and it is very tart in the best way. The blackberry inside had a delectable sweetness to it after the cocktails seeped into it.

Dorian D'Ottavio

Amazing food, great atmosphere for a romantic night out

Evan Nevermore

My wife chose the food market as a place to celebrate her graduation. The name is so boring and uninspired that I never bothered to give it much thought, I figured it would be Americana. I was right, but I was wrong about it being boring. The restaurant is well appointed, if a little dim (it's silly when people have to use their cellphone cameras to read the menu, which some folks were doing a few tables over). The music wasn't too loud and was funk and disco. Good choices. The food is the real star here, and it is incredibly well made. It's freshly made with fresh ingredients. The bread is baked that day, you can tell. I doubt there is a microwave in the building haha. The kitchen staff is talented. The wait staff is attentive without being overbearing. Parking is a crapshoot so make reservations and come early ;) the men's bathroom probably hadn't been cleaned from the night before, our reservation was for opening time and it was already destroyed. Though they have a button you can press to let them know it needs attention. I wish more businesses would do that! I'd eat here again no questions asked.

Carlos Pinto

The place looks very modern. The staff is super friendly. I was expecting the mimosa in a champagne glass but when I took the first sip I completely forgot about it. It tasted delicious. Huevos Carnitas was my choice and it was a bomb. Loved it. My friends’ dishes were also really good. I wish that the toast had more Nutella (because I love it). So far, this is my favorite Brunch place in the city. CONGRATULATIONS GUYS

Kim Caspari

Doesnt live up to the hype .Poke bowl for $12? It's a poke tea cup and not that good. Little on the tuna .

John Moore

Good sophisticated food and drink options. Laid back atmosphere. Great attentive service.

Meghann Clark

This place is a real gem. Great atmosphere, cool view of the bar and kitchen. Wait staff is perfect amounts of friendly but gives you space to enjoy your time. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Will certainly be a return visit from us.

A A

Went to Brunch here on a Saturday. We were seated very quickly and ate at the bar, which was more comfortable than I had expected. The pumpkin pancake with duck scrapple (center dish) tasted incredibly unique with an interesting …

Larry Goldfarb

Hopping popular place. Trendy youngish crowd enjoying the delicious Maryland-based fare serviced with style by a genial, informal and professional service staff. YUMMY!!

Lexy McCauley

Great service and food! Went here for restaurant week and the options were delicious. I ended up getting a burger which was fantastic. They can modify things to be gluten free—just ask!

Kyle Reinhart

I had the spaghetti with crab meatballs and it was amazing!! Best crab I’ve ever had. And our waiter was awesome. He was very nice very helpful funny and animated. What a great experience

Adj Sunshine

The food was ok. The seats do not fit people who are plus size. Not sure if that's what they are going for but I was uncomfortable the whole time I was there.

Ben Spice

Fantastic. The best soft pretzels out there and some fantastic focaccia

Melanie Transparenti

Wonderful food and cocktails. Sat at the communal table and was still very enjoyable.

Gil Carlson

Great food and enviroment

Arik D. Brown

Great food and atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant. I have been twice, once with my wife and a second time with my wife and kids. The service is great and the people are friendly. I highly recommend.

John Dierkes

Great Baltimore club sandwich. Good service and reduced noise made for a nice evening! Everyone had a good meal. Hamdens reliably good restaurant.

Ben Meiselman

Had tuna meatball appetizer, bronzini, and blondie, all of which were great.

Samaporn Tinyanont

The shrimp dinner was really good. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

Peiyao Sun

It’s a cool place. Food is not super impressive. Just good.

Himanshu Boulware

This place is amazing I loved the drinks & food. The bartenders was some of the best people very friendly and the manager came out and congratulated us on our engagement. I Can't Wait To Go Back

Lori Anne Gatewood

Decided to have Sunday brunch. The place was packed. We were a party of two. We were immediately greeted and seated. I ordered shrimp and grits and my other party ordered steak and eggs. The food was fresh and served prompt and hot. I also had the garden party cocktail. It was amazingly mixed. Lol, it was mixed toooooo good! I couldn't taste the alcohol at all. Mission accomplished, we had a good meal in a great atmosphere.

Paul White

Great place to eat. Food was terrific and served hot. The ambiance was pleasant and their prices were fair. The servers were accommodating, amiable and honest. I'd definitely recommend this place to all my friends and my family.

Philip Plunkett

Never misses. Great place for special occasions or a nice date night. As always, a great meal served by great servers.

Yvette Custis

The atmosphere is always festive and upbeat. The staff is Awesome and very friendly ans knowledge about the menu. I had the Shrimp and Grits and was not very pleased. I feel like they have changed the recipe. I did however love the Cream of Crab soup. It is best around. Overall, a great experience!

Edward Zaleski

The Food Market's brunch was exquisite. Everyone in my party was pleased with their meal. The portions were large enough to really count for breakfast and lunch. My breakfast tacos were fresh and well prepared. The doughnut holes for the table were so light and wonderful, I wish I had ordered some to take home with me.

Patricia Tunstall

An Awesome food and fellowship experience! Chef Todd is Exceptional!

Evan Andrews

The menu, in all aspects, was full of delicious options. The waitress was also happy to assist with both vegetarian and vegan options. There's a fine drink menu as well. I would recommend The Dale Cooper.

Amy Funk

Very fun! The food was amazing! We loved the choices of Little, Small, Medium, Big, and In-between. The cream of crab soup was outstanding. Buffalo pickles were sliced fried pickles with a hot sauce served on a cool creamy dressing. A distinct and delicious appetizer. Even on a busy night-every table was full by 7pm-we got a special treat to celebrate my birthday. It was a housemade chocolate mousse dirt cake. The waiter brought 4 spoons even without our asking for them. It was a delightful dining experience!

Lindsay Winn

The food was amazing - all of it. We went with a large group and had a lot of appetizers to share which were all great and then I got the duck for dinner. Best duck I’ve ever had!

伊巴玖

One of the best crab cake I ever had in my life.

shaneisha mcmillan

The service was great. We were able to get a table around 11am on a Sunday for brunch. Otherwise you can sit at the bar or the community table if there is a long wait. The food was good. The chicken and biscuits were cute. I didn't like the cheese whiz used. Everything is cooked fresh and homemade. My bf had the steak and eggs. He wasn't a huge fan. The steak was pretty small, but he ate everything. I absolutely loved the dippable tempura French toast. Next time will have to try the heath bar pancakes with a different entree.

Ravi Dutt

Nice place and food.. When chef can get you awesome veg tacos even though they are not on the menu. Good place..though need few more vegetarian options on the menu.

Dan Wright

Always great to have a restaurant exceed your expectations. Had the tempura filet and it was incredible. Great service too.

Peggy B

Great food with many choices. Like the atmosphere and paintings for sale on the walls. Excellent service.

lisa M

The food is always great here!!! Definitely GO!!

Arnetra Burnett

The pretzels and beer cheese is by far the best in the City.

Neal Kempler

The Food Market never disappoints. Tonight we say at the bar for drinks and small plates. The drinks and food were excellent and the bar staff was exceptional. The Food Market remains Baltimore's best restaurant.

Harry Greenwood

Great selection of food, the prices are reasonable and its a great place to take your friends and family. Come with an empty stomach because there is lots to eat! I highly recommend this place

Jane Cayanan

I'm pressed to find anything negative about the the Food Market. Arrived at 5 and was greeted by three smiling hostesses. Our waiter was charming and attentive. The chef paid attention to detail and addressed all of the palettes: sweet and salty, crunchy and soft. Presentation was above and beyond expectations.

Veronica Daniels

We had a great waiter!!! The food was delicious. We sat for quite awhile and no one made us feel rushed. The apps were so flavorful. I would definitely go back again.

Kim Druhan

We love coming here. It may be expensive but not over priced. The pretzel appetizer is the best. Must try this place. The menu is not intimidating, something for everyone (I can see kids and vegans finding something)

Jordan Weimersheimer

Well, I’m sad to report that the Food Market officially wins most over-hyped restaurant in the last decade. I just can’t comprehend the ogling of this place. This was probably my 5th or so (and final) visit over the last few years. There has been nothing but a steady decline in quality, taste and innovation with an increasing price tag. My group of 3 shared several smaller plates most of which stood out as a complete bore. The roasted cauliflower was in fact “burnt at the top and undercooked” cauliflower while the raw carrots were, well a singular raw carrot sliced vertically. The meatloaf was a meal practically consisting of particle board. On the other hand, and not to much surprise, the fried oysters and fried lobster tail (the biggest win) were rather tasty. Other than the lively atmosphere and hospitality of management, it’s surely no force to be reckoned with.

Eddie Majors

Great atmosphere and food.

Michael Knott

We came for restaurant week and everything was excellent, but the service was a little slow and this place is always so loud. Don't expect to have much in the way of conversation. The food is high quality for sure but the whole thing is probably a little pricey when talking into account the overall experience and there are comparable restaurants close by that you don't need to strain your ears in to hold a conversation.

Sara Linton

First visit yesterday and we sat at the bar. Excellent service, food, and happy hour menu. We had a great meal ordering a few 'little' and small plates. Best service I've had in a long time- polite, attentive, thoughtful, and helpful. Great experience! The free valet was a huge bonus!

Rebekah McCullough

Every single meal I have had here is amazing. The staff is wonderful, the atmosphere, and THE FOOD. Did I mention the food? The food is amazing. Everything taste like it was crafted by a higher being. You can taste how much the chefs love this place. I don’t remember the waiters name, I’ll edit it when I remember it. I’ve had him twice, he’s a large tall man. Every time we say thank you to him he says “thank you for thanking me”. Hes is amazing and has great recommendations. In my family he’s an icon and I always hope to get him. Even when I don’t get him I still get amazing service. I do think it’s silly they have such large ceciling and wood floors. Sounds just bounces around the restaurant. This is just something I have noticed. I love this place and I always recommend this place

Jacquelyn Case

My only complaint is that the restaurant itself gets too loud

Robert Black

Good selection of food, great menu, little bit pricey but service is good.

Krista Das

Great food! I keep coming back and have never been disappointed!

Julia Derry

Food and service excellent

Mikosan 77

I loved the spaghetti and crabcake meatballs

Tricia

Food was great and customer service ok

Tim King

A bit expensive and honestly after hitting up La Food Marketa, not that exciting. It's not bad by any means, just not as good as it's sister location. Also, I have had some of the most interesting and delicious cocktails here and the bartenders I've had have been outstandingly good.

Brandan Spiegel

Food was amazing, outstanding service, we went for restaurant week and had to go back, as fast as we put in an order for the appetizer it was in front of us, crazy awesome desserts and the drinks were STRONG and delicious, couldnt have been happier with the experience

Ana Caroline Paiva Gandara

Excellent food and service. The price is not cheap but it's kind of reasonable. We've got free little donuts as an entrance, which I've found it nice. The meals have reasonable size for me. I recommend the smokey bowl and the mimosa. The bison burguer is fine and the fries were delicious. I'll definitely come back there.

Saundra waddell

Good food great service great chill spot

Theresa Rodriguez

We had a group of about 8 of us for a Birthday Brunch Celebration. This place is wonderful! The service was fantastic and the food was great. Highly recommend.

Andress Blackwell

Great vibe and food was delicious. Pickle-brined fried chicken could not have been more on point.

Mambo24

Food was great, staff was great, inviting, and very friendly. Slightly crowded so it's important you get a reservation but amazing.

justin deckert

Have gone to brunch here several times and have always walked away very satisfied. Have yet to have a bad meal, lamb & spaetzle bowl & huevos carnitas have been my favorites so far. Everything on the menu is reasonably priced, especially for the amount of food you get. Staff has been polite and accommodating on every occasion. Only complaint is that the area gets busy during particular times, so parking can be a pain.

Zane Conrad

Care is taken with nearly every aspect of this restaurant, from food to drinks to decor to service and selection. If you go during a time where they're extremely busy it can lose a little luster, but when they're not being spread too thin, there is very little to complain about. The Amish Beer Cheese dip is seriously unmissable.

Monica Simpson

Absolutely the best

Mike E

Jermaine from the state of Maine, that's all you need to know! Great food, great service. One of the best spots in Baltimore

Amanda Mizeur

Fantastic service at the bar. Great street tacos. Excellent whiskey list and cocktails and craft brews.

Neha Handa

great pretzels and beer cheese. fried chicken entree and blondie dessert were good. nice ambiance but loud. overall a bit expensive for what you get.

Nikita Bayliffe

We enjoyed The Food Market very much. Had an ahi tuna appetizer and a delicious crab cake main course. A nice spicy dipping sauce for the tuna. There were many other very interesting items on the menu and I look forward to returning. Friendly and efficient service. All in all a terrific experience. I see that some reviewers found it pricey but I though it offered fair value for the quality.

Kelsey Ross

The Food Market is one of my favorite restaurants in Baltimore! The food is wonderful and the service is just as good. Most recently, I went for their brunch, and their menu has so many options. They also gave us complimentary donuts!

Neal Miller

Great menu, cool decor

Delfloria Brown

Omgosh! This spot has everything right. Great location and food. Service was 4 stars. It took 10 minutes for the server to acknowledge us and the place wasn't full.

Jaila Guevarra

great food and friendly staff! i had the blackened tuna.

First time coming to The Food Market last night. Our server was Matt, he was very friendly, efficient, and made great suggestions. We ordered a bunch of small plates so we could try everything. The braised pork tacos and roasted cauliflower were my favorites! We will definitely be back for Matt’s wonderful service!

Amazing dinner in a cozy space! Our waiter was super friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed his recommendations! It was a fun, busy atmosphere but not overly crowded, the ideal experience for a nice dinner out. Our food was incredible, cooked to perfection!! Highly recommend the yellowfin tuna meatballs, bread and butter sea bass, and 1/2 baked Blondie ( honestly save room for the Blondie it's not too be missed!!)

This may be my fave restaurant in Baltimore! The food is amazing, dinner or brunch, and there are always so many unique and flavorful dishes to choose from on the menu. And the cocktails do not disappoint! The past couple times I went a little early for dinner and sat at the bar. Otherwise, you really should have a ressie. The parking can be tough, but they offer a valet service so def take advantage of that if you drive.

Seated fast. Clean facility. Food came quickly. Easy street parking. Not crowded for Saturday brunch. Service was wonderful!

It was a little busy for my taste but of course that is to be expected on a Friday night. The food was great - had 3 different dishes.

Delicious food and a great atmosphere. Tuesday night is 1/2 off bottles of wine. Definitely worth it

wesome place for brunch! Made reservations for Sunday brunch to try out the Food Market, and this place exceeded all my expectations. We were quickly seated and served water, coffee, and some donuts to start while we looked at the menu. Service was excellent with constant refills on our drinks and attentive and helpful staff who could give good recommendations. We had the french toast sticks to start which were the perfect amount of sweet to start of the meal. I got a vegetarian omelette which was delicious with a side of potatoes and some toast. They had good portion sizes and the taste was great. Someone else in our group got a hash which also looked and tasted amazing. My only regret was that I couldn't try more things on the menu

Some of the best food and drink in Baltimore. I don't like the way the tables are laid out or the ambience, it can be really loud in there. But the food's so good I keep going back anyway.

So I made an attempt at another restaurant tonight and was turned away for one of the rare times as a solo traveler but I did not let that stop me from enjoying a meal. I obviously stumbled on Baltimore's hipster AF area so I figured there …

Good menu choices for first and main courses, with many seafood choices. Food was well prepared and the menu description matched what was served. Atmosphere can be described as energetic.

One of the only places I go where the steep price tag is absolutely worth it everytime. Come here for special occasions and does not disappoint.

Darren Donovan

Cool eatery, been for both brunch and dinner, great food and service.

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in town. But, while still good, the quality has definitely gone down. The service is still great, but the food is not. For instance, the brown sugar pork belly used to be multiple small portions, with the fat rendered down, and a delicious crust. Now it's one big hunk, that is at least half fat. Ick. We'll be giving it a time-out, and hope this kitchen can recover.

Love the food and service. Chad does it right. I would give 5 stars but Tyler Mays eata here as well. Avoid that guy.
