Not worth the price of the Buffett. $40 per person!! Wow. Quality of food was to be expected as a buffet .. def not a fan. Crab legs were cold and hard to crack open and very watery. certainly not the best. The hot donuts were excellent. The desserts were a hit with my kids. Luis was a great server tho! Very polite. Probably would not go back for the price.

There are tons of selections, but the cost is just way too much for the amount of food anyone can eat. Especially kids. It is nice to try it at least once in a lifetime though. Crab legs want additional fee.

Service was great. Actually have room to move around unlike some of the other AUCE buffets. Food was fresh but flavor was pretty mediocre. Dessert bar had a lot of stale items. Decor is in desperate need of an update (you can smell the old carpeting). And let’s just say the urinals in the bathrooms are uncomfortably close.

I'm still full and my family and I had dinner yesterday around 4pm...lol...you wait for a few but it's worth it...all the food was delish...all of it!!!.. the only hiccup we came across was a smell where our table was. It smelled like animals (zoo like). Our table was near the rest room so I took it as maybe that's what it was. I was going to have us moved but after a while it went away. No other complaints at all...the staff was great too!!

I come to Ocean City every April and I make sure to stop at the Bonfire Restaurant. My food of choice are the crab legs, definitely get my fill. They're hot and delicious. I then have a little cream of crab and/or clam chowder, both are very tasty. There's a wide range and large variety of other foods, I don't have space to list them all. The "early bird" was $75 for 2 people, but for me, worth every penny. All of the servers made sure we had everything we needed and did a good job, but George was outstanding.

Definitely not worth the $120 it costed me, my husband, and our 4 and 2 year old ate. The food quality was no better than a Golden Corral or Ponderosa! The staff was not friendly or welcoming and the other customers on either side of our booth were rude as well.

Really disappointed with our recent visit. The quality of the food has really gone way downhill since just a couple of years ago. The crab legs were tiny and had no flavor. The breaded seafood was overcooked and soggy. I didn't even try the oysters because I didn't want to get sick. My drink was refilled promptly but there was so much ice in every fill that there was barely any drink left to drink, and I had to ask for a straw because there was no way I could tip my glass to my mouth without spilling all that ice all over myself. Our server pulled the straws from his apron and told us about how special the straws are because they're compostable. Wow, they improved the straws, that they don't even give to you unless you ask, while the quality of everything else there gets worse. Also they lost my boyfriend's credit card and when asked about it had to go on a search for it because the server had no idea where he put it. How do you return the bill to us for your tip but don't notice the credit card isn't there? Sketchy.

The peel and eat shrimp was mushy like it had been over cooked. They didn't have crabs on the buffet you had to have someone put them in your plate which would only give you two at a time unlike other all you can eat restaurants where you can get as many as you want. There wasn't near as much seafood as I wanted there to be either.

This place has the best buffet other around other than Phillip's Crab House. I loved the snow Crab legs and the melt in your mouth Ribs and they have just about anything else you could think of. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars because of the price. I don't know about you but there is no way I could ever eat $40 worth of food in one sitting, but I sure saw many people giving it a shot. I myself have always thought I couldn't get my moneys worth at a regularly priced buffet, I'm just not the kind that can stuff myself with so much food and feel miserable afterwards. So if you think you could eat $40 worth of food in one sitting this is the place to do it, the food was awesome.

Bonfire was good and service was good but they did not have the same spread as Phillip's which costs the same price. They didnt have cooked clams or blue crabs and I feel Phillip's gives you more for the money. I will say that pluses they did have homemade hot donuts which were good and the dessert selection was also really good.

We visit once or twice a year. Food is good! My husband wanted crab legs and I didn't. Policy is if one person orders crab legs at the table everyone had to order crab legs. Unfair treatment! Maybe gets covers for the food. Too many flies on the food. Waiter just returned from college. He gave excellent service!

Pretty good all you can eat. Great service as well. Wish they had more selection like scallops and pealed shrimp. But I came for the crab legs anyways and they were on point. Its $45 for adults and $20 for kids. I would not bring any one that does not eat seafood. It can get expensive. On the other hand it was worth it for us. Also drinks are not included. All in all I will be back 4 stars because of the few seafood options for the price.

I think the place is overrated. If you dont enjoy crab legs, or eat 100 of em your not getting your money's worth. The rest of the food was like something out of a cafeteria at a college. The prime rib was good though but i cant eat enough of it to get my 40 dollars worth. I wont be going back...

Because the girls hid the price of the buffet when we came in and thefood was not worth 40.99 a person have the stuff was too dry and tasteless no flavor clams were like rubber the wings were to salty and the sausage and the the crabs was not cooked thru a 91.00 a bill for 2 people was a joke never again.

I should have left the minute I went up to get my food. They do not have the little glass covers over the food so there was flies all over the place landing on the food. The only thing that was probably uncontaminated was the carved meats, crab legs, and ice cream. They had someone serving that and the ice cream is in a machine. I basically went for the crab legs. Really wish I went somewhere else. They had no taste. It was as if they boiled them in water instead of steaming them. My friend got raw oysters. He said they were dry and warm so he couldn't eat them. I was really disappointed because I expected a little more with all the high ratings.

In my opinion, the best place for seafood in OC. Just be sure to call earlier in the day and make reservations. The place is packed in the evening. About $45 a person, but is worth every penny.

Great buffet, I ate a variety of things. Fries, broccoli, Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, meatballs, shrimp, and more. Overall great food with delicious taste. Employees were polite, and the buffet was stocked with food and there were no empty bins.

A wonderful surprise. Destroyed my preconceived notion of what I expect from a buffet. Food was high quality and plentiful. The variety was incredible as well. Even the plates were large. Adding to it all was the top notch staff. When our server passed by on his way to cash-out a patron I mentioned my wife dropped her fork. Within seconds a different server arrived with a replacement. Then a few seconds after that our server returned to be sure we received the fork. Wow. After many trips top the various sections of the buffet, I said good by to the friend I made running the carving station and waddled to my car. We were even able to fill our 20 year old son's bottomless pit. That was a first. I was nervous about the cost of the buffet when I arrived but when I left I realized what a fantastic value it was.

Had a small mishap this past visit, not worth mentioning, but rest assured it was promptly taken care of to my satisfaction without asking. Server was James M. He was awesome and attentive. First time having 2 toddlers, 3 & 5, and they LOVED it. Favorite part was the clam strips and fresh made donuts! Ryan, the manager resolved our small issue without hesitation and made our 8 year anniversary dinner that much more awesome. Thanks guys.... we’ll be back again!

As far as buffets go, the food was pretty hard to top. The crab legs were great, the brisket tender, and even their sliders were juicy! Only problem is universal to buffets - other customers who don't grasp the concepts of "waiting in line" or "personal space".

I went on a trip from Cape May to Lewes by the boat.. on the way to go back home I have found this buffet .. it looked like a cheap Chinese buffet.. However they got crab legs and tasty mussels.. It costed Almost $50 each person.. My favorite was donuts :)

Meh. Despite the great reviews - when we went the food bars were sloppy and many trays were nearly empty. The crab legs were good, but not worth the upcharge (not included in buffet price $41 per adult? ). The prime rib was excellent but the seafood dishes were lacking and the salad bar looked so dry, limp, and sad that I didn't want to try any. This was our first meal in OC and our expectations may have been high. We were offered coffee after dinner - and we took it to go with our desserts... but we didn't know they were going to charge an additional $3 for each cup. I'm sorry to say we were all (all 6 of us) very disappointed and will not go here again - no matter what the reviews say. The desserts were nicely portioned in tiny little bowls, just enough to try several without wasting unwanted bites.

Family tradition for our dinner. In 15 years of going to the Bonfire each visit they have accommodated my family Of 6 including my 8 yo IN A wheechair... BRAVO BONFIRE!!! FOODS FANTASTIC. ESPECIALLY THE ALASKAN CRAB LEGS, hush puppies, shrimp fried n steamed. They even went out of their way when my son got upset and my husband ultimately had to walk out wit him... i had to sit by mysef n finish eating... after checking with manager they were able to pack me up a goodie bag... so thoughtful!!!!

We tried many things from the buffet and everything we tried was wonderful and homemade. Fresh made fried shrimp, donuts, crab legs, old bay fried fish, vegetables, soups, clam strips, crab dip, mussels, salad bar, roasted meats, and desserts were excellent. We used to favor the buffet at the Clarion, but it has changed quite a bit over the past couple of years and the Bonfire is our new favorite!

Early bird arrival saves each guest a few dollars discount. You will find a huge variety of seafood, meats, side dishes, salads, desserts and more. We went during the off season (this time but have gone during the summer also) and it's great! They do not skimp on the selections offered no matter what time of year you go! The staff does a great job keeping the buffet stocked, everything I had was hot, fresh, and perfectly seasoned! The current price is around $41 for the adult buffet, but it is well worth it! You cannot compare the quality or variety offered to the chain seafood buffet (Captain George's) The Bonfire is far superior!

I absolutely love this place I've been to so many buffets{ including in OC} this is by far the best ever anywhere so far! I always visit couple of times when I'm in Ocean City Maryland! If you go early bird you save $5 {UPDATE early bird is now $3 off adult but still worth it!!}which is nice because it's not overly crowded at that time they have very good prime rib you name it they have pretty much except for crab cakes..it it's amazing and it's beautiful inside with a beautiful big round bar with comfy stools and plenty of parking!

This place is really nice and the food is great but we spent $136 on a buffet for 2 adults and 2 kids. We won't be back- it's not a reflection on the food or service or anything like that, just the cost. We do not plan to spend that much on eating anywhere while on vacation.

Food is always good. Crab legs are the best. It’s a bit expensive if you don’t find the crab legs appealing. My husband doesn’t eat fish, and our friend is allergic to shellfish so we definitely did not get our moneys worth for them. There are enough servers around that could oversee the sections if they were to have a separate charge for those who didn’t go for crab legs. I have seen places do something similar before and it works.

Decent place, wouldn't say the best buffet in town for the past 4 years. Food was average, building is showing some age with fixtures and decor and the layout is just weird. It doesn't flow or seem like it was designed to fit a buffet, like they just kept adding things to it. Easy to miss some of the food if you're not paying attention. Honestly think embers is a better value overall than here.

Food was amazing and so was the service. I've been here a few times and the food is always great and we definitely get our fill. They also have a great selection, my favorite is the crab legs. Our server, Corey, was very efficient at clearing our empty plates and checking to make sure we didn't need anything. He was friendly and really made sure we had good time, making us smile and laugh. He really made us feel special. Definitely one of the best servers I've ever had. He really made it a great experience even better. Highly recommend.

The restaurant could of gotten a better rating if it weren't for their front desk schedulers. They were disorganized, unfair to those who were their waiting for long periods of time, seating people who came in after other customers who were waiting and not empathetic to their customers. There was one, one older woman Scheduler/Host who notice we were waiting a long time and decided to speak to her manager and find us seats! Terrible that it took someone not working with us to notice her peer was being unfair in her behavior. The Manager sat us and came and apologize multiple times! Needless to say, my daughter got sick and after waiting for seating and to eat we couldn't eat and had to leave. I would suggest the Owner decide, reservations or not on the weekends because the way it is managed now is unfair and disorganized. Your food could of been good but not sure due to the above events. First impressions are lasting ones. How are you going to improve?

A strange non-food smell greeted us when we entered the dinning area. There were also flies swarming around while we tried to eat. There was also a little girl heaving like she was going to vomit in the middle of the food isle. I really couldn't enjoy my food, our family won't be returning and I don't recommend.

Bonfire is probably the greatest restaurant in all of ocean City. If you visit ocean City you should dine here at the bonfire on 70th Street Bayside

You can't beat the Bon Fire for a wonderful variety of fresh food. The buffet bars have everything from chicken to Alaskan King crab legs. I would definitely go back again.

Arrived for the early bird special a little after 3pm. Hostess was curt and not friendly. Definatly not how I wanted to start my experience. Fiest trip to the buffet and many items were cool not piping hot. Second trip much better temps- must be the heat lights. Frozen drinks were alright - a little weak. Nice variety of dinner choices on the buffet

The food is great for being fresh and from the sea but way over priced for the all you can eat buffet compared to other buffets that you can get seafood from. Seating is very crammed and not much room to get in and out of your seat at the tables. They advertise over a 100 foot buffet of fresh seafood but it doesnt come close to that in the different variety that you would think that would be in a 100 foot seaffod buffet.

Ok maybe the crab legs are ranked #2 but everything else was good. I see they do use fillers , example - clam chowder has lots of big potato in it to back down the amount of clam. Very good service and friendly staff.

This is probably my favorite restaurant in Ocean City and by far my favorite buffet I've ever been to. You can expect there to be a wait but it's well worth it. They offer all the regular fixings of a buffet with a carving station and decent sized shrimp and snow crab legs. The shrimp and snow crab legs were perfectly prepared. They keep them coming from the kitchen so they're always warm. I know Maryland is a blue crab state but the value here is amazing and less work then picking blue crabs. But don't worry they have old bay handy near the crab station so you can load it up onto your shrimp and snow crab legs and you'll be a very happy camper. Even if you're not a seafood fan you would not leave this place disappointed. I would say this is a must stop restaurant.

I enjoyed my visit to Bonfire overall. The service was good. Our waiter kept our drinks filled and removed old plates from the table frequently. The buffet had a wide variety of food, but obviously the seafood is the star. I was happy with the food, but not quite blown away. For $41 per person, I had pretty high expectations. While all the food was adequate, I didn't quite feel like it was worth the high price. It was still a good experience though and I'd be willing to try this location again.

We haven’t been to the Bonfire for a couple of years. Nothing really has changed. This restaurant is really touristy, and we understand that is their market. Although the buffet does have a nice variety, there was very little in the way of quality. The night we were there they featured the king crab legs, “smoked” brisket and prime rib. All were yawners. There were raw oysters and clams on the cold bar, but they were horrible, as was the creamy crab dip. We agreed that our favorite item was the fried shrimp. If you are looking for a place where you’ll wait a while for a table, have a good selection of average food, and overpay for it, the Bonfire is perfect.
