Having lived in Gaithersburg, it was recently that I discovered this place for the first time this past Spring, 2018. I took my son there for lunch and wow- what an experience. Staff were super friendly - the African American man who served us was AMAZING! He was genuine, friendly, and just so attentive - having someone who clearly enjoyed working there made the experience 1000x better. The food was good and watching the plans land and take off were a bonus!!!!!

Arrived around 9:30am expecting breakfast with my family. We waited to be seated as the sign instructed us to. After waiting 10 mins and seeing people come in and out I decided to ask one if the six people (who made eye contact with me ) if we can sit anywhere. We were then instructed to please wait. The indoor tables were empty. After waiting another 5 mins we decided to go elsewhere.

Surprisingly good for what seems to be a low-volume, out-of-the-way venue. Food is well prepared. Prices are reasonable. Staff is attentive. The one time I went, they had a crabcake special. I took a leap of faith and found it superior. Looking forward to returning.

First time there, pretty impressed, small cosy cafe overlooking the aircrafts....breakfast buffet was nice with options like pancakes, french toast, grits, bacon, sausage, banana bread, scrambled eggs spinach and cheese quiche..... everything was good. Staff was polite....would definitely go back for a Sunday brunch.

Potato fritters with jalapeño should be illegal! Blintzes were fresh and delicious. It will be time for a bigger plane after a few visits to the breakfast buffet. Super friendly staff.

Buffet style dining. Payment was made after eating. For 3 adults and 1 child the bill came to $122.26. The cashier stated that they raised the price for Father's Day. For the occasion a penalty instead of a gift. Didn't ask how much they charged for Christmas.

We came here for Sunday brunch, and overall I was impressed. It was fun for the kids to be able to see the planes taking off and landing. I think it would be more fun in the summer months to sit outside on the deck. The food was good. There was a good variety on the brunch buffet. It was $8.50 for children and $16 and change for adults. I ended up getting the buffet for the kids and I got "The Sully" which is a New York style Reuben on marble rye bread. It was good. The fries were cut and fried in the kitchen there. The service was good. I would recommend it.

We were told by a rude staff member that it was too hot to sit outside; it was something about their air conditioner couldn't keep up with the door opening and closing and the other customers (only a couple and a single person) were complaining. In actuality, it seemed more like the staff did not want to go outside. When we were seated in the center of the cafe (where you of course could not see the planes) and we tried to move two tables together by the window, the same rude staff member told us we could not move the tables together because they could not serve the people sitting by the window. It was very strange. I would think they would try to be accommodating after not allowing us to sit outside, but they were not. We did not stay, and we will never go back.

Great place to get breakfast in the area and watch the planes take off and land! Nice outdoor seating area right by the runway. Staff is very friendly and willing to accommodate. Food is delicious, served fresh, and great quality. Highly recommended!

Wonderful to see the planes take off and land, good selections of food, and they apparently have a buffet on Sundays. Haven't there on Sundays yet, but will be. Good food and friendly service. This is a pic of their steak, eggs, home fries and toast.

Used to visit frequently. Came today with the family and they had the buffet again. It is mediocre at best. It offers a very minimal selection. Maybe 6 or 7 things. It rarely changes either. Here's the kicker. They charge $18.95 per adult and $8.95 for kids. You can find much better food for a more reasonable price at a plenty other locations.

We went there today for lunch. We weren't dress like important people, just regular short and work shirt. They ask us to seat outside and would come to take our order in a bit. After us other people arrived. The staff took care of them and didn't come to see us. After 30 minutes we still didn't even received the menu.

Sunday morning brunch and the place was busy but no wait -- it's a buffet brunch with hearty biscuits and sausage gravy, wonderfully moist fried chicken and waffles, assorted fresh vegetables, of course, eggs, bacon, hash browns and sausage, delightful rugelach pastries (raspberry, apricot, and cheese), and orange french toast. The food was fresh because this wasn't the typical steam table where the food went in hours ago. They were cooking in small batches so almost everything was hot and fresh from the kitchen when you served it to your plate. This was our first time at place but won't be the last.

Tucked inside the county airport's discrete Operations/Maintenance building, is it an hidden gem w an old world charm & amazing run way view?. Ok, some of that might turn out to be true, it is too much to confirm/conclude on visit #1. We went for a brunch after morning sports ( yup, hungry..our regular stop is our local IHOP). Was a little turned off that it was buffet w no ala carte options. With the winter at peak, we did not expect ( & witness) any runway action. But overall food did not disappoint. What is good?. The place has an old 'mom & pop' diner charm. The staff were attentive and polite. And most importantly we all were able to find something that satiated our hunger. While some of the food might have been just ok (we were hungry), some we did observe as good ( scrambled eggs were soft, potato fritters were nice etc ). And our kid liked his pancakes (were moist & fluffy, was sweet even without syrup) & bacon(crispy, not oily). What can be better? - At ~$51 for 3, it was pricey. For that price, we do expect more value. Fresh fruit juice would have been nice. Ambience - the aircraft models hanging from roof are a nice touch but not reaching the potential they have. Ofcourse when the weather is warmer, we might return to see the flights take off/land from the deck and try out some chef specials ( hope to gather enough reasons to revise rating up from 3.5 then).

I had been meaning to visit this place for a while, and glad I finally did. I went for lunch on a Friday afternoon and was very impressed. The staff was very welcoming, and the owner talked to us about her favorite menu items. I ended up with the cheesesteak which was flavorful and the ingredients were good quality. The French fries were great, and the portions were generous. Everyone in my group loved their meal. I can't wait to go back and explore the menu, including breakfast and brunch!!

The Sunday Breakfast buffet $18.95 - had a great variety and this is an above average buffet I may add. It reminded me of a catered event. Pancakes with blueberries you can place on top, Grits and shrimp, eggs florentine, good crispy bacon (not the slimy drippy greasy kind) berries/rasberries. blueberry tarts. Coconut orange french toast, Some fried balls that were very tasty. Quiche, Cheese wraps. The Staff was very friendly.

Awesome discovery! Great food in a neat environment where you can see the planes taking off. It's a neat jewel hidden I would recommend taking a look if you want to try somewhere different.

Not a bad breakfast. Liked the fluffy pancakes, but my egg serving was a little lax (scrambled). Service was friendly and having the option to catch some planes passing is nice (assuming you can get a seat outside). My visit had a broken elevator unfortunately.

This cafe is excellent! Their brunch buffet is amazing and always changing. We got there one Sunday right as the buffet was winding down and the owner let us snack on the remaining food and we also got meals from the menu. They’re always so nice with our toddler and don’t mind that he makes a mess. On pretty days, it’s great to see the planes land and take off and really occupies our toddler’s attention. We definitely recommend this restaurant and it’s a great price for some great food too!

The food is horrible. You can taste the frozen food from inside the food. It's a buffet and it doesn't even have lables on the lids of the food. I asked for Apple juice and when done asked for water and it was poured in the same cup as the applejuice. There was no water service from the beginning. The only reason I eouwo give this place the extra star is because of the planes and jets taktaking off with the view.
