REVIEWS OF Ted's Bulletin IN Maryland

Phil SHEEHAN

An excellent spot for lunch. Highly recommended. Try the milkshakes!

Jeff Kryger

Interesting theme of an 'old time' diner/pastry shop. Nice variety on the lunch menu, and they have the Impossible burger which was a nice surprise. Fries were good and they make an excellent bloody mary. Breakfast is served all day which is a fun touch as well. Friendly bartender/server.

Jason Pitts

Really good food. I thought the burger and fries were some of the best I've ever had. I also enjoyed the cheese grits, although my companion thought they were too cheesy. This is a good spot with good food. However, the service is something to be desired. There was a miscommunication and we were stuck waiting for 15min just for someone, anyone to say hi to us. Finally, someone came and acknowledged we were sitting, but our mood was deflated from waiting. (It's just common courtesy to say, "Hi, I'm helping someone, but I'll be with you shortly" so people aren't offended. We were very tempted to leave.) Glad we stayed and the service got a lot better. I would patronize again in the future.

Arran Haynes

Great food and the staff is wonderful about bringing kids food early and quickly.

makeda vanderpuije

Treat yourself to an indulgence (or 4) at Ted's Bulletin. Very family friendly! I don't regret a thing. Millionaire Bar is a must try, and next time I'll try the "adult" milkshakes!

Bria Hofland

Ted's tarts are awesome! Huge portions and good service. Decdnt coffee. Didn't try to boozy milkshakes but they looked good.

Michael Grant

My wife and I have been there several times now. We love the menu. The vibe of the dining area has a “New Jersey Shore in the summertime” feel. Save room for dessert.

Jiliane Zayas

Such a cute place! You walk into a cozy bar room that looks like thats it to the restaurant but NO there’s more towards the back. Plenty seating, great lighting, and all staff is very attentive. Hugh was great! He might be in the wrong career lol he has the voice of a radio host. Super awesome. Food was delishhh! We had chicken and biscuits, a TUBS (teds ultimate burger... somethin lol) and Blueberry pancakes SOOO GOODD

Eddie Martinez

The place is on the small side but it's nice inside. The service was a little slow considering there wasn't a lot of people when we got there. But the food made up for that because it was really good and tasty we will definitely be going back when we visit DC again. It is an easy walk from the metro station that is like a block away.

Ron Ketterling

Great neighborhood atmosphere and good food.

Dustin Hickey

A good place for breakfast. Opens earlier than most of the other places around that do brunch. Food is delicious and you get a good amount of food for your money. Really tasty biscuits, good sausage gravy, and great fried chicken. Good espresso drinks. Have not been for dinner but it seems the beer selection is quite lacking.

Stephanie Carter

Excellent brunch. Be prepared for a wait! It's always busy. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, very patient and accommodating.

Aavery Mundt

A very interesting art Deco throwback. The food here is delicious and if you are in the mood for something delicious I highly recommend stopping in for breakfast brunch or cocktails.

Kimberly Caesar

Amazing. My friend and I came here for breakfast and loved everything about this place! Service was wonderful and the GM dropped by the table and chatted for a while. PLEASE get the blueberry cheesecake tart when you come here! I say when because everyone MUST visit Ted's if you're in DC. My next trip to DC will undoubtedly begin with Ted's each morning.

chandra rosa

Found this place at random as we are from out of state. Must say it was a great place to go!!! Food was AMAZING!!! Staff were very friendly and professional Will definitely come back for lunch our next visit to dc Parking was a breeze Very roomy comfortable dining room And projector playing classics Popeye and three stooges Felt like childhood Saturday morning Loved this place Highly recommend!!!

T

Fresh ingredients are always best!! Had the salmon toast as a starter.. and the crab benedict yummy!! If your lucky try to get Loni as your server. Or sit at the bar with Tiffani! Either way your gonna get great service.

Jonathan P

I probably come here too often. But they now have the Impossible Burger (veggie burger) that serious tastes like meat. It is worth a try. Service is great however it is often pretty busy so expect to wait. Especially on weekends.

Frankie Clouatre

This place has character, class and great food

Jack Vahey

Delicious Food! Comfortable Atmosphere! Corey our waiter was very knowledgeable, a fine example for Ted's! Get a piece of the Double Chocolate Devils Food Cake to go, you won't have room for it there!

Keilanj Ennings

Service great food amazing

tombo ed

Very good food. Wide variety. Excellent service from Tom.

Michael Coley

The service and atmosphere were great. On a Monday afternoon! Well done!

LaShawn Scott

I come here for my caramel french toast the best in DC. I never had a bad experience here for the 4 yrs I been coming. I recommended this place to my clients.

Muhammad Azz-al-arab

Great solid and hearty American breakfast. Just what I was looking for. Coffee was strong. Food was comforting. Expect around 15$ for a plate.

Yvonne Kelly

This was a fun place to eat. We got in right before the weekend brunch rush, and we did not regret. We had the big mark breakfast and a chicken 'n' biscuits. The big mark breakfast was a classic breakfast that you get at many diners. The plate was huge and servings were generous. Very happy with the food. The chicken 'n' biscuits was great. It was 3 chicken tenders served on some great biscuits. I really liked the biscuits. They felt and tasted fresh. Since it was chicken tenders served on biscuits it did not quite fit right, so it took creative eating. It came with a mumbo sauce which was similar to a homemade ketchup mixed with hot sauce. It went really well with the the chicken, biscuits, and honey. We ordered two Ted Tarts. We had a blueberry cheesecake and a strawberry one. It was definitely fun getting them, but I couldn't help but feel like I could make these at home. I am sure any kid and adult would be happy to get these, but I probably would only get it one time. The restaurant was clean, had a great atmosphere, and they had the Wizard of Oz playing in the background. Definitely a great place!

Nancy Barber

Pricey. I expected a larger burger by the others I was seeing. But ordering a veggie burger very very small and a ton of French fries that I could do without. I was impressed with the place.

Lindsey Casella

Called ahead, when we arrived they said our table wasn’t ready and to expect to wait 15. Took 35 min before we were seated. The entire time otherwise, they seemed to rush our experience. My meal itself was good, I got the Make your Mark and chocolate shake. Bacon wasn’t well done, and eggs were a bit moist for scramble. The shake was great and of course, so was the poptart. Would have rated overall a 4/5 if wait/service was better.

Chrissy

I'm confused why Ted's isn't rated 5 stars. Everyone here is so kind, especially Tiffani who went above and beyond to accommodate us. We came here twice for breakfast and are trying to figure out how to get in another meal before we leave. Definitely recommend the crab cake Benedict and the ligjt as air french toast. Don't miss the opportunity for amazing food and beautiful people!

William Franchell

Food was fantastic. Bloody Mary’s were great and our server Sydney was awesome! A+

Noah Rosen

Neat place. Cool bar, great restaurant space. Friendly staff. Good food. Fairly priced and big portions.

Michael M

Way overpriced for smaller than normal portions... Not worth it. Nice servers though.

Tenzin Chime

Yesterday, I visited Ted's Bulletin and eventhough its kinda expensive. I loved it. Their services are really good and had a great dinner there.

Eric Trismen

Service was poor, food was good, floor was greasy, shakes were excellent.

John Gasparine

This is the larger of two locations in downtown DC. The place is a wonderful slice of the early 1900's! I felt like I took a step back in time when everything was made of worn wood and the many was packed with staples like eggs, bacon, fruit, etc, and warm and friendly staff. Had a solid meal and didn't feel bad about myself because the choices were reasonably healthy. I was meeting people and went to this location by accident... And it's quite a drive between the two locations. Whilst I was here I ordered coffee (surprisingly delicious) and cheese grits (delicious but this one did leave me feeling bad for a less healthy choice). In short, I love this place and would prioritize having breakfast here again.

Filip Jasinski

Great food ans awesome location. What could be improved is the seating regime. And tell the staff to be nicer.

Cecily Fasanella

As someone who has lived in this city for over two years I cannot stress enough how much I love Ted's Bulletin. It is one of the most unique let classically DC eateries I have been to. Brunch at the 14th street location is always amazing. Nearly everything is made in house so you know it will always be fresh and flavorful. The portions are incredibly generous and the prices are very reasonable. While everything I've had there is amazing, I would especially recommend the Biscuits and Gravy, and Ted's Tarts. Always ask what the seasonal one is as they always pleasantly surprise me. Service is always friendly and attentive. I once had a server give us some tarts on the house which made me feel extra special.

Ian Triplett

Fantastic food, atmosphere, drinks, and most importantly, staff. Have been a few times now during our most recent DC walkabout. Their breakfast is excellent and is offered all day. No idea about the lunch and dinner options but I suspect that we'd find something to really devour. Our most recent stop was for happy hour and we were most thrilled by this experience. The drink options were vast and very affordable. Our bartender, Alex, gave us a slew of creative concoctions that were great, albeit not yet named. Alex - along with Michael, the best server - were both fantastic conversationalists; before we knew it, 4 hours went by and we went away with great memories. All in all, we wish we could take the whole restaurant back with us when we leave today. That or at least the staff!

Andrew Clapper

Great food and warm service. Highly recommend their burgers and milkshakes. Note: this location does not accept reservations (I made that mistake) but the staff still managed to accommodate us.

JC Presti

Fast service. Great breakfast selection

Jess H

Took my mother in law. Always a pleasure to eat here. I've always planned to get a homemade poptart for dessert but they make it difficult to do so because their dishes are so delicious no matter what I order. The boozy milkshakes are a treat

Jae Mac

Great brunch! Fast service!

Everett Bullock

It was GREAT service. They set themselves apart by being friendly, helpful, and patient. The food is really good, especially the pop tarts and bacon. It is pretty busy usually and it is usually a long wait. But overall, great place if you're ok with spending ~$20 per person

Zack Stiles

If you like food, you are going to like this place. They have great breakfast to dinner. They have options for gluten free folks as well. I have enjoyed each time going here. It can get busy at times, but I have found that they can get you a seat fairly quick. Highly recommend.

David Brenton

Definitely need a reservation but it’s well worth it. The pop tart is amazing - a must order even if you have to take it to-go. Solid brunch option in the city.

G. C.

Great place to get dessert or baked goods to-go. Has an upscale Americana diner feeling, portion sizes are big, good value over all.

Ed Rogers

My go to diner when treating myself to a big breakfast. Taste like home cooked. And the adult milkshakes are a tasty treat.

B C

Very fun place. Bring your appeitite because the portions hang on the large side and the desserts are a great eau to end a meal. Both wife and kids liked this place. Will return when we come back.

Doxa

Love this place, you can't beat the food. I'm a little sad they did away with their country fried steak, but you can still get the chicken version. Anyhoo, great food, breakfast all day, and they make homemade pop-tarts with flavors that change with the season; you simply can't ignore this place.

Carol Hawkins

Food is excellent, busy on Sunday morning but the wait was just a few minutes.

Thomas Polk

Service was excellent, food was even better. Highly recommend for anyone in the area! Will be going back next time I'm in town

Niki Fleischman

Stop reading and get over here. Food so good you'll hug yourself and cry with happiness. Breakfast nachos are incredible: fresh, spicy, and amazing chips. Also had the homemade tarts. Kids loved their Mr. Breakfast.

manal B

I had the best milkshake ever

Robert Rains

Comfort food and a pleasant decor will greet you upon each visit. Located in the bustling Eastern Market neighborhood it can sometimes be difficult to find a table. On a few occasions the restaurant has messed up our order but we’ve yet to have a single bad meal here. Worth a visit!

Andrew E

Ted, Im sorry but I think we should see other people. And it’s not me, it’s you. We’ve lived in the area for 2 years and have been coming here probably once every 3-4 months. Things have changed, and not for the better. Specifically I want to mention the burgers and pretzel bites which used to be our go-to’s. The quality and style have had a complete 180 and are really not good. Talked to the staff and seems like this is an intentional and permanent change. I’m sad, because we used to love coming here.

kristen haag

This place was a great little spot. A little loud with the music but a great environment and hoppin spot to eat breakfast in DC

Jackie Beckwith

Great service, so-so caesar salad, and cool ambiance

Ingrid B

Love love love!!! Their desserts will blow you up. Literally. Carrot cake awesome. I will be back!!

Ralph S

Great food well done guys. I had a hot drink and pancakes which I think is the best food I have had in DC. Great neighbourhood to look around and enjoy also go great nightlife.

Robinne Thornton

Its disturbing to eat while unruly children are over booths and constantly moving

Bernardo Correia

Awesome place to come with your kids, stylish yet kids friendly is not an easy to find combo!

Leszek Poniatowski

Interesting place with good service and food

Desiree' Pettigrew

Service was spot on! Food was delicious. Can't wait to make a special trip to come back.

Caroline Mackenzie

It was GREAT service. If you like food, you are going to like this place.I really enjoyed my first time here.

Rebecca Lawrence

Big portions, food made from scratch, breakfast all day, boozy milkshakes - what's not to love? They refresh their menu regularly so there's always something new to try! (But try the grits first, they're killer) Atmosphere is very relaxed while also leaning into the "1920s speakeasy diner" aesthetic, and the service is always very good - water glasses stay filled, they make sure your food is right (and fix it promptly if it isn't), and are happy to make recommendations if you're overwhelmed by choice!

Greg Briney

Excellent breakfast and lunch choices. I've been there twice, and the service has been good each time. Annoyingly, they won't seat your party until everyone arrives. That's my only complaint.

Claire Gudewich

Go early! This place is so awesome that you can't get in without a wait. We arrived at 930am and waited 45 minutes. Salmon toast was delicious as was the crab Benedict.

meskela michael

This review is only for wait time,We walked in at 10:30am Sunday morning and for one adult and 2kids the wait time was 2hrs

Wat Huh

We love Ted. If I want to pig out on a burger, fries and milkshake, this is the SPOT! I just won't be able to walk afterwards with that full belly. You know what I'm talking about!

Simon Alebachew

Came here in the morning for a brunch and the wait was crazy. They don't accept reservations after 9:30 or something and you have to call or make a walk in. The food was fantastic and definitely and absolutely worth the price tag. The pineapple juice was fresh and amazing. Coffee tested great and the service was quite alright given how crowded the place is. Definitely would recommend.

Tommy Reynolds

Great food and service but a little on the pricey side. The adult milkshakes taste amazing but are not as adult as many would prefer.

Leslie Somerville

Fantastic service. The food is well made. The technique is exceptional. The flavor was just missing a pinch of salt or a dash of spice. I don't add salt to any food after it's prepared for me. I'm not a huge fan of salt.I tried the mac and cheese, pot roast, mashed potatoes, carrots, chips, fondue, gravy, and risotto. Technique was there, except that the risotto just seemed like steamed rice. If it was a deconstucted risotto then it missed the mark. The cocktails are well done. I mean the drinks ARE expertly made.

Danny Kim

Came here on Saturday around noon, and luckily there were seats available, so definitely avoided the morning brunch rush and lunch rush. The atmosphere is a nice area with a friendly staff. I ordered the Crab Benedict, and I had a mixed experienced with this dish. The Crab Benedict consists of jumbo lump crab, poached egg, house-made hollandaise, english muffin, and a side of hash browns. The good: The hash browns were crispy and delicious, and it would be too difficult to mess this up. The jumbo lump crab was soft and flavorful, and the hollandaise sauce was savory, but wouldn't mind a little more sauce. The bad: What was supposed to be the highlight of the dish, was a huge disappointment. The poached eggs did not burst with a flowing yellow gooey yolk, instead, it was basically a hard boiled egg. The english muffin was a bit tougher and chewier than other english muffins I've had before. Overall, I would avoid the Crab Benedict, unless the restaurant is able to correct their poached eggs, or just don't advertise it as poached eggs. However, there are plenty of other dishes to try that looks appetizing. The Original Breakfast Burrito looks delicious, and would return to try this dish.

Scott Marler

Really unique menu, with well executed dishes. Nashville hot chicken is excellent, along with fish and chips. The pretzel bites tasted like they are reheated, not baked in house. Excellent pastries and ice cream.

Reba Scarbrough

They make their own pop tarts that are yummy and breakfast & was great

Jasmine A Acevedo

Visited Washington DC for the weekend and came across this place for breakfast from Google. BEST avocado toast & mimosa’s I’ve EVER had. We got a booth by the kitchen and loved it because the head chef really knows how to get food quickly out of the kitchen. Tried the brown sugar & cinnamon pop tart as well and it tasted great. Fairly priced & fresh ingredients!

Kristin de Thouars

Most delicious breakfast! Virginia ham is great, and what I expected to be rather dull but healthy 7 grain bread was scrumptious. Plus they make their own pop tarts! I didn't taste one but it looked so good. Friendly service too, in a beautiful restaurant. What more could you ask for.

Helen Kalde

Nice atmosphere and good food. Menu is nothing special, but everything tasted good and breakfast was very fulfilling. Finished the meal with a delicious milkshake. They even gave us the rest of the milkshake that didn't fit into the glass, so I shared it with others. ☺️

P D

The environment of the dining room is simple and inviting, they have a classic movie or cartoons(black and white) projecting on a wall, which is a nice distraction for young children. Great service, friendly and fast staff. Really enjoyed the option of all day breakfast.

Wil Cameron

Food is good and plentiful. Prices are reasonable for DC and it's an easy walk from the Eastern Market metro stop. Also, looks like a good spot for family dining. I'll be going there again the next time I'm really hungry after work.

Laura Crabtree

Atmosphere was great. Food was good. Service was average at best. I get that we were tourists with kids but I felt the eye rolls were unnecessary. Took much longer than the 30-45 minutes we were told to get seated. Food did come quickly. Then we sat for several minutes with empty plates before we were offered the check then our server disappeared again. Saw him glance over at our table and seem to remember us then bring the check. On a night they were struggling to seat people I would have thought turning a table as quickly as possible would have been a priority.

Derek Williams

Heard they're famous for their own poptarts. Bought one and wasnt that satisfied. It's mostly just the crust and then the very middle has some flavoring. Food on menu was pretty good however.

Roosevertte Toussaint

Best service I have ever received in my life and I am a person who frequents at restaurants. I visited both locations and they were both AMAZING!! I wish there were more locations. Best comfort food a person could ever have. Their food tasted like it came from heaven. Please try their homemade tarts. I will definitely be going back to Ted's Bulletin next time I am in DC! Thank you for making my experience so special. Ted's Bulletin is definitely worth your time and money!

Alphonso Wilkins

If you go to Ted's be sure to ask for Thomas if you want the best server in the entire restaurant. Also make sure you have dessert, the chocolate cake is to die for.

Jen M.

Came for the famous Ted's Tarts and was not disappointed. There are also full breakfasts available. Pictured here is watermelon lime, S'mores, and strawberry.

Tara C

Great food, fast service, and the tarts!!!! Very yummy! Great location for a quick lunch.

Sabrina

Delicious food! One of the best restaurants we visited in DC!

Yulia Lama

Wonderful food and very friendly and professional staff.

Arthur Gahungu

They got those DE_LI_CI_O_SO Chicken biscuit for Breakfast which I had at Rio, Washingtonian in Gaithersburg...the service is also good when the croud has not swarmed the Resto

Kate Kosior

Great food, awesome brunch cocktails to pair with my meal!

halima delfino

The restaurant Ted in Washington DC is the most outstanding not only food but service, waiter, the time the food was delivered with excellent. There was no wait there. On tap beer brewery from Rhode Island was best to none. Prices were phenomenal I would highly recommend you go there as a date happy hour anytime, evening weekend .Cory is an outstanding, outstanding waiter.

Jonathan McKinney

Great restaurant. Good food, service and atmosphere.

Katelynd Mahoney

If you can snag a seat outside Definitely worth it

Sandra Dean

Loved it! As always, my favorite "go-to" joint. Breakfast/brunch, lunch or dinner. The menu is the adult update to memories of your favorite kids meal: pop tarts (yes they make their own), milkshakes (yes adult style with alcohol), chicken and biscuits (three large chicken pieces...half the size of your plate), well you get the idea. Step 1: Google their full menu Step 2: GPS their location Step 3: Enjoy!

John Jackson

I ordered the fried chicken and it was pretty good. The mashed potatoes were definitely instant, though. REVISION: Ted's Bulletin replied to this review to let me (and others) know that the potatoes are made in-house. I really appreciate the response! I'm going to stick with four stars until my next visit and simply leave the suggestion that the potato dish might be worth investigating further (not for authenticity, but for flavor). Don't let that hold you back, because overall Ted's Bulletin is a nice restaurant. And since I only ate there once, I have no way to compare the quality of their mashed potatoes.

Brett Jacobson

I’d always loved Ted’s and have been multiple times to both the 14th st NW and 8th st SE locations. For years it was one of the best brunch spots in DC if you were trying to do a regular sober brunch, like with parents. This last trip was a bit underwhelming. The tart was good, but not great. I got the breakfast burrito and it wasn’t packed full of ingredients, especially the steak. It was also a little bland and could have used some more salsa.

Tanya Singh

This was our first meal in DC and it definitely did not disappoint. We ordered Crab Benedict and French toast with fruits and both were just delicious!

Blake Arrington

Went for breakfast but I have gone for dinner at other locations (very good). Breakfast was great! Great customer service which is always important. This place gets very packed for breakfast so go early especially on the weekends. They are famous for their pop tarts and homemade goods so make sure to try those

Brittaney Wright

Good food, but the server kind of hovered over us.

Shannon Santistevan

Great diner coffee. Good food. Historic building.

lee Marie

Great food and customer service!

Phil Taylor

Great place for brunch! Lovely, attentive staff.

Dennis Dunbar

Awesome! I've always heard good things about this place. It is much better than good! I had the most amazing lunch and great service. This is now on my short list of where to go,especially looks good for brunch. I cannot wait to try it.

Darryl Dean

Best neighborhood breakfast spot in DC! I would highly recommend trying the homemade pop tarts. Also, an adult milkshake will put you in another world.

David Banu

I heard amazing things about this place, but unfortunately it did not live up to expectations. The prices were really high and it was good but nothing extraordinary. For the price I expected an absolutely amazing dish but only got a mediocre dish that I could have got at any other restaurant. All in all it was a let down nowhere near as good as the reviews suggest.

Mike Erdely

Fantastic comfort food. I got the Grilled Cheese with short rib and mac-n-cheese... So good!

David McDonald

Great food, great service. Loved the vegetarian selection and waiter's vegatarian recommendations. Had Nashville Hot chicken, Asian Salmon Salad, Grilled Cheese and thick tomato soup, and the chef inspired version of chilaquiles

Kai Walker

This is a great brunch spot not too far from Folgers theatre. Me and my friend went there and split the ham benidict and the biscuits and gravy. It was amazing. We loved the baked desserts, especially the chocolate forest cake. I would suggest calling ahead to get a seat if you're in a hurry. But the staff is friendly and the place has a nice family and friendly vibe.

Sathiyan Sivakumaran

All the food I tried was a solid 4 stars, with the exception of "Ted's Blueberry Cheesecake Tart" - that was a clean 5 stars. I had the grain bowl that was definitely solid with my side of chicken sausage. My partner had a bloody mary (she said it was okay), with a french toast breakfast platter. As always, I was looked upon to finish her meal, so I tried the hash browns and french toast w/ blueberries. Both were solid. That blueberry cheesecake tart is a must-try though. I'll be back for the other flavors.

Garnett Coy

Cinnamon roll was dank. Not sure what the hype was about the mumbo sauce though.

Jeff Whitaker

Staff was super friendly. Great bloody. Would definitely visit again.

Colleen Rogoski

The staff are wonderful and the food is great. Hubby had biscuits and gravy and he said it tasted fantastic. The tarts are pieces of heaven!

MR LEMN

Very Delicious food here are server Joshua was great

Nikki

Nice set up and interior. We were looking at unique menu itens so we tried the Avocado Benedict and it was a very interesting mix of flavors. Did get a million dollar bar and oatmeal cookie to try as well but we're not impressed with those. There was way too much salt in the sea salt caramel and overpowered it.

Anna Hartley

Went on an impromptu roadtrip to DC and this place was highly recommended! Good thing I listened to those friends! Our waitress was absolutely awesome and friendly! We got the last cinnamon roll that was as big as my face! The food and drinks were delicious! Highly recommend this place for a small group of friends or with family.

Jaclyn Page

The food here is amazing, I live in New Mexico and I come here every year!!! Also Alex at the Capitol hill location was the best!!

Francine Elizabeth

Excellent service from Tiffani and the managers Claire and Edel!

Mary Smith

Honey chicken was the best I've ever had. Little pricey but totally worth it. Staff was super nice and hospitable towards my dog.

Lilly M

Always try to make it here when we come to DC. Of course there’s always a wait, but we end up eating at the bar because we don’t want to wait. Had the breakfast burrito with chorizo. It was the perfect size! So delicious! The service was great as well!

JB

Amazing breakfast place! The service is exceptional, the food is great, and the sitting areas are awesome. When you walk in there is bar seating, a little further is table seating. Make sure to call an hour to reserve your seat because the wait is long.

Clifford Anderson

Service and food were both excellent. Would love to visit again next time I'm in DC! And the homemade tart is worth the money.

Xenia RK

Nice brunch setting, diverse food and drink options, everyone enjoyed their dish, and service was quite friendly. A couple of us arrived with carryon luggage and they were very accommodating. Their poptarts are awesome too.

Toni McCance

Without complaint, my husband and I waited 45 minutes for phenomenal food and service. Our server, Tania (sp.), was top-notch and very knowledgeable about the menu. She was personable and very accommodating. I enjoyed watching the good rapport between the kitchen staff and the sous chef. Everyone seemed happy to work. Understandably, this place is very busy. During our wait, I was quite pleased to see one of the hosts giving water to a homeless woman outside their building. I highly recommend eating here. We ate breakfast; but I am already looking forward to our next visit to DC so we can go back for brunch, dinner, breakfast again...repeat!

LR Lowe

Food was good with ample portions service was gewst! They dropped the ball with 50 minute wait.

Ike Smith

Love going there for brunch. Now that I'm not on my no sweet diet, HOMEMADE POP TART!!! Note to management: Give me Nutella pop tarts!

Barbara Tucker

I won't wait in line to have breakfast. Except for TED's Bulletin. Two reasons: there's ALWAYS a wait, and it's SO worth it. The avo toast, the grain bowl, breakfast nachos, crab Benedict, -- homemade pop tarts, people!! Plus yummy cocktails, if you're into that sort of thing, such as mimosas and Bloody Mary's. TED's is always swarmed, but once you're seated, (there are a few outdoor tables, too), the coffee shows up, a thermos of it stays on your table, and your food arrives - yummy, plentiful, and timely. One of those memorable must-do's when you're in DC.

Battler 900

Brilliant, fast service and quality breakfast

allison nielsen

Finally made it to the original Ted's Bulletin. I've been to the 14th St. location many times but hadn't made it to this location. The main thing I like about Ted's Bulletin is that it is consistently delicious. I always get the breakfast items (usually the Make Your Mark) and sub out the bread for cornbread. Pro tip: Get the cornbread! It is so buttery. I subbed out tater tots for the hash browns and was blown away. I don't think I've ever had tater tots that good in my entire life! There is a wide variety of menu offerings here but I think they really excel at breakfast. The pop tarts are incredible and they sometimes have seasonal flavors! I really like the blueberry tart. Service is always really friendly. It was very busy this morning even at 9:30 but we were able to get two seats at the bar and enjoy a wonderful breakfast.

Dave Hoppe

A more original feeling version of Ted's that has the 'local' atmosphere still intact. Great for early 1900s breakfast and plates.

Lauren Goode

We came here on a recent trip to Washington DC after reading about it and seeing all of the great reviews and we were not disappointed. Everything was delicious, the service was good, just an all around good experience. We did also try their homemade pop-tarts that they are known for and they were delicious! Definitely would recommend trying them although I feel that they are a little over-priced for as small as they are, but definitely still worth trying!

Bryan Roberts

Very popular place. This was my first time here and was craving grilled cheese and tomato soup. The tomato soup was really good. It was hearty and thick. My grilled cheese was just ok to me. Probably because it was made with American cheese vs. cheddar which I would prefer. My fault for not requesting it that way. Teds Bulletin is a good place. I will come back probably for breakfast next time.

Went in 740 am. No line. Ate at counter Great waiter Gustavo Had Jon omelet, very good and delicious. Not greasy or too much butter. Black coffee is great and was given a pot to serve myself which I like than wait for refill Pleasant environment and nice retro look Recommend for a good classical American breakfast Will try again for lunch or dinner

Great food, great drinks! Get the adult milkshakes and the homemade pop tarts

Eva Wilson

If you get here AT 7, you are seated fast and the food is really good. Comes out quickly.

Melanie Barnes

Brunch is entirely too crowed!! Can barely get to the counter to order to go. There is nowhere to sit if you like to be at the bar, forget about it. But the food is pretty good and of you have the time, its worth the wait!!

Robin Arnold

Food was fabulous! And our waiter Thomas was excellent! It was our first time and definitely recommend!!!!

Linda Gilchrist

Pleasant atmosphere and very efficient waiter. He even went outside to help me withe the ticket meter

Karim Marquette

The cocktails were magnificent. The bartender is quite gifted, adding whiffs of herbs to his drinks. The tomato soup was brilliant in it's simplicity & texture. The stuffed grill cheese was delicious, however way off my diet. If you're going to splurge on some calories, this is the place to do it.

Delicious menu. We loved everything we tried. Alot of variety on the menu, something for everyone. Start with candied bacon.

Erik Herchek

We were excited to try a new breakfast spot, but unfortunately our visit did not live up to the expectations. To start, we called ahead to have our name on the waitlist. When we arrived there weren’t many people waiting and were told it would only be a 15 minute wait as they’d have a table soon. It would be 35 minutes later until we were seated. The service was friendly, but you could tell they were rushing to get our meal finished so the table would be open again for the next group. The portions were small, and I left feeling unsatisfied even though we payed $25 a head after tip. Black coffee was disappointingly lower quality at $3.59 a cup. Bacon was undercooked to our liking. The famous “ted tart” was no better than a Lofthouse Frosted Sugar cookie. For all the other places to enjoy breakfast in DC, we wished we had spent our time elsewhere.

The pop tarts are amazing! The Blueberry Cheesecake was our favorite. Our family also had fried chicken , breakfast, sweet tea, chocolate pie, homemade oatmeal cream pies, etc. We wouldn't change a thing! Excellent family friendly environment and so much so that we had to come twice during our 1 week stay!

Damon Kohler

Nice crab cakes and fries. Great smores shake!

David Lambert

Such a great place. Try the pop tart. My kids really liked it too!

Al Benninghoff

Good quality food, cool menu. Really appreciated the fact they had gluten free bread for substitutions on kids menu. They should advertise that better. Really didn't appreciate the wait, though. Stood around for an hour with a 5 year old during lunch time on their small, and very packed, bar area. This was after calling ahead. Granted, it was brunch time on a Sunday. But still. Expect long wait times.

CURVEZ Shaun

The only thing that was decent was the bacon jerky everything else was basic diner food but overpriced extremely overpriced! I had a hamburger which was almost mooing she did not even ask how I like it made but I figured that it wouldn't come to me half dead. The milkshake was almost flavorless

Allen Franklin

The atmosphere is awesome. As it is set back in the 50s/60s with old tv shows playing while you eat. The three stars are actually for the food. My scrambled eggs were watery and my bacon was chewy. The only good thing was the mimosa and the hash browns were cooked perfectly. I may return to give it another shot but unsure.

Brian West

Excellent option for brunch. The tarts are amazing. Waits will be very long, but worth it.

Reginald Benbow

Food served with large portions, decent service. Seats and cleanliness could use improvement.

I really enjoyed my first time here. Its was opening hours. Staff was attentive and bright. Food was great, tea was great, if you love sweets you'll love the poptarts. Too sweet for me but good. MILKSHAKE WAS AMAZING. Recommended and I'm going back for happy hour
