Great atmosphere for sports. nice layout and setup. Great tap selection. Very Very Very loud, too loud ! tables were still dirty and I can see why as I watched a bus girl clean a table , she used no cleaning agents. Our server was bad. she has an attitude the whole time. Our appetizers and dinners came out all at once, and she for got a meal. took forever for drinks and refills. all in all i probably wouldnt be back. recommend bringing ear plugs. lol

The ambiance aligns pretty decently with the overall setting of the MGM. This place just adheres to the conventional sport’s bar environment. The most critical issue surrounds the poor customer service and bad attitudes of the servers. Upon approaching the bar, the server indifferently acknowledged me, and when I inquired about their virgin daiquiris, he rudely responded and didn’t care to follow up to take my order. As far as the food went, the loaded nachos were good, but the salmon had a weird aftertaste and wasn’t fresh enough. What really disappointed me the most was when my overly generous tip was not appreciated or shown gratitude. I most likely will not revisit. I advise management to implement more sufficient customer service strategies.

We had a party of 12 and got there and it wasn't that long before being seated, but after being seated that's when the worst experience began to happen. After ordering it took some time to receive our meals but when they came out three other servers brought out our food and didn't know who ordered what because our server went on break for twenty minutes not to mention our food was cold and the wings were over cooked and we had to order off of a limited menu because they said they had problems with their ovens for a few weeks, then the original server finally came back and brought our bills and ask if we wanted dessert so some of us ordered and we never received ours but some of the desserts were on our bills and so we had to ask for a manager to correct the mistakes, not to mention that the server never came back often to check on us, the experiences we had for it to be our first time there was not what you look for when you go to any restaurant or establishment and it would be my first and last time there....

If you come here do not order the nachos!!! They were hard and tough to chew. The waitress was so kind to bring me extra queso but, that did not help. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating...just can not say the same for the food experience.

The atmosphere was fun, the food is overpriced and mediocre. I had the chicken tenders and they are way too breaded. For the price, you would expect a lighter, more high quality breading and not hard, elementary school tenders. Oh and the Mambo sauce is so #notdc. Please get legit sauce.

Celeste was an exceptional waitress who delivered premium service on a Sunday night during Labor Day weekend. Request her if you can.....it seems like the table waitresses are quick and more skilled than those attendants working the reception desk. It's hot or miss but don't let the lack of smiles and enthusiasm deter you. Once inside the food, desserts, and prices and sports bar ambience make the locale one of the if not the best at the MGM. The beer menu is impressive and the burgers are delicious.. only get the nachos if you have a table of 4 or more....they give you a ton for 14 dollars. They should give you less and charge less and put the fixings on the side. That way you could take them to go.

This is a wonderful place for drinks and fries maybe. The food is so not good. If you want to look at games and drink...this is a excellent meet up spot. If you go here looking for something really good to eat, your in for a let down. The menu needs revamping. They need a chef in the back. The waitresses....smh. Whose idea was it to wear those cheesy cheap outfits????? This place has the most potential but it needs to be rescued. Do yourself a favor and grab a burger from The Shake Shack. You have been politely warned.

He was extremely knowledgeable about everything on the menu - what's popular, what he personally enjoys, etc. We never even looked at the menu and selected his recommendations. Everything was awesome. Not sure all experiences are like this but out waiter made everything great.

Beer was good even though I only had one I waited 15 minutes for another and never received one so I threw my money on the bar and had to wave it at the bar tender jonas. He pays more attention to the TVs then his bar. I'll never stop here again.

I like TAP Sports Bar.. the experience is never the same. I love that they play all of the games. The food is really good too and reasonably priced. The crabs balls are good and the shrimp as well. I've never had to wait for seating. There is indoor and outdoor seating and an outdoor bar as well with tv's outside. The service has always been good except one time I had this guy that waited on my partner and I. He was kind of a jerk. It wasn't busy. I could tell he'd been serving for a while because I once waited tables. His service was good but attitude sucked. Would have left him a much larger tip. Other than that TAP is awesome. I recommend it!

Meh. I got the reuben sandwich. One of the worst I have had. Bread was OK (marbled rye), but the meat did not taste proper. Little to no sauerkraut. Other than seeing what looked like 1000 island, it did not really have any taste. Portion was small as well. Meat did not even cover the bread. Music too loud. Nearly impossible to carry on conversation at table. Would have been easier to have a conversation at the bar. I won't be back, but I can see a small appeal for some.

If you're over 40, don't come here. Showed up at 10 pm on a Thursday with a friend wanting drinks and snacks. We sat at the bar for 10 minutes with the all female bar staff walking by us numerous times. Not one of them ever acknowledged us and they were chatting with men at the bar. We left and went to Theodore's - got great burgers and drinks there.

Unfortunately I have to give it one star. I would give no stars. I went to get a quick bit to eat at the bar and was sitting at the bar for 10 minutes. Several bartenders looked over and did not acknowledge me. I had to flag down a random person behind the counter who stated he would get someone to help. I asked who the manager was as well. I walked over and spoke to Sophia and Daniel. Both were quick to take action, but unfortunately by then I just was not in the mood. Eventually, the correct bartender did come over, a young lady named Tay, who I will say, was everything but pleaseant. I didn't eat there like I planned. I left hungry and disappointed. I will take a second thought before stepping in TAPS again. MGM has PLENTY of other establishments for dining I will definitely try from now on.

Good service, amazing view, decent happy hour. Drinks are a bit pricey for a casino but in line with the DC area. Be sure to grab some nachos and play a little blackjack at the MGM $10 tables. The view and ambiance trumps the slightly above average cost of drinks. Beware of the weekends.

We orginally had a reservation at Fish to celebrate our five-year anniversary but we sent at that restaurant for over 20 minutes and no one came to our table once we were seated. I was still hungry so we decided to go to The Tap bar. I'm glad we went because it was karaoke night with a live band which I've never experienced before. The band was really good and the karaoke was fun. We decided to go to the bar because we didn't wanted to weight over half an hour for a table that was confusing because there was a lot of Empty Tables. You went to the bar or waiter took our order quickly and our food came quickly. We got the shrimp, sweet potato fries and the wings with no sauce. The wings are amazing I will definitely come back. The shrimp and self was good but the breading was soggy I don't recommend it. The sweet potato fries are amazing. Not too salty fried perfectly. I will definitely come back for those also. The people sit next to me got nachos and they looked lackluster and the people didn't eat much of it. I took off a star because of the shrimp. It is a loud place fun place.

So disappointed about the Service at Tap Bar. I was so excited to try it for the 1st Time but, My experience was the opposite. I sit at the bar by 3:58pm and by 4:41pm I was walking out the Bar. The Bartender NEVER approach to myself to ask me anything, and was the Bar Back who came and Give me a Beer and a Menu, after that I was ready to Order but, Never Happened. Why? Because nobody at the Bar (Bartenders) ask me anything. 1st Time at the Bar, 1st Time at the MGM, and Believe me, I won’t be back. Have A Nice Day!!!

This place was great when they first opened last year in 2017. I went last week with family for Dinner it was a disaster all our food was room temperature when we receive our Dinner including the appetizers we ordered. The service was horrible food was nasty Never again This place is a dump do not and I quote do not Eat there or waste your money Smh and least but not least our waiter only check with us one time threw out the entire 2 hours .

Literally the absolute worst service I’ve ever received. And not just once- or twice, or thrice. Every time I’ve gone and sat at the bar it takes an eternity to even get recognized. The beers are expensive as hell ($8 for a bud). Today I sat there for 20 minutes and never got greeted. It’s too bad because the food, atmosphere and everything else great.

Fantastic place to grab a well prepared, loaded hamburger. Located in the MGM Casino just outside the main casino, the restaurant has a simple but good menu. I had the steakhouse burger and this thing was awesome. Full of flavor and cooked to perfection. They have a comprehensive drink menu and the helpful staff are ready to make recommendations to suit your tastes. Highly recommended restaurant.

There were several seats available. Yet it took 30 minutes to seat 2 people. Took forever for service; as the staff didn't seem like they were there to work. When they decided to bring a menu. Everything at that time was then limited. I think they made us wait on purpose so they could limit us. Food that we did get was decent though. Womans bathroom was disgusting. On top of that there was no tissue. We had to grab Kleenex from the sink were hands were being washed. Not returning there. I'd go somewhere first.....

So Income in on a Saturday night, I sit at the bar I can see two bartenders working and about 3 bar backs. There’s tons of dirty plates sitting at the bar I single a waited to have it moved he told me the bartender would do it. I then signaled “which appears to be a manager and ask to have the 7 dirty plates removed and she does it right away. After it is now about 8-10 mins of me sitting at the bar and bartender still hasn’t come over to ask me what I’m having. I watch 3 ppl leave irritated because they couldn’t get service. I then calls the bartender by the name on his name tag “Jonas” I say hi ive been sitting waiting to order he says I have to make a ton of drinks and continues making drinks. Another 10 mins pass and he’s is finally done with those drinks he goes to ask a man beside me “how can I help you” I then said but I’m still waiting to order my food. I let him know this is very unacceptable and ask for a manager. The manager came out telling me “the customer” how busy they are but that he is extremely sorry. I explained to him what happened and he said he would check on my food. He returned saying maybe 5 mins or so, I am writing this review as I sit waiting on my food still. I ate here years ago and it was nice my service today was awful and I promise i won’t be returning or referring anyone to eat here! I am now about to do a video and record it publicly on my YouTube channel that has over 100k subs.... this place SERVICE SUCKS AND BARTENDER JONAS IS AWFUL!!!!!

Lower your expectations upon entering. It's a sports bar and the cheapest sit down restaurant in the casino. Decent bar food but don't expect fine cuisine. Bar staff were adequate and we received a good pour. Outside area is the real draw. Good place to take a first date.

When I am at MGM and the crowd is starting to get active because of a game I go to Taps, where there's always a fun crowd and the food is good except the fish and chips, which is too greasy. I'm used eating fish and chips most of the places I go but the fish and chips at Taps is usually greasy. The ladies behind the bar are beautiful and they serve you well. The guys are fun and they will joke with you. it's a nice place to be when you're looking to get out and have fun. It is a place that I would suggest for those who are looking to Hangout, meet people or just enjoy your meal and a ball game. So the next time you're looking for a place where you will be able to enjoy yourself go where everyone will eventually know your name. Go to taps and enjoy yourself.

Service was slow, and the bar is very loud. Our seats were right by the door to the outside and people kept bumping in to my chair and knocking my purse off. Bad spot for our table! We had a complaint about the slow service to the manager and he was rude to us and basically laughed off our complaint. The good was pretty decent. We had the nacho appetizer and crab pretzel, both were really good. Drinks were overpriced, but that's to be expected. Overall was an ok place to eat, but I would've be going back any time soon.

Service was terrible. 6 of us a table for lunch, lots of seats open at the bar and many tables open. Server forgot to put in food and drink order and only came back to our table maybe twice. Had to walk up and get our checks and the managers never came up to anything or did anything about this. Food was great once we got it same with the alcohol but definitely need to fixing the staffing before that is the downfall of the restaurant.

I hate to say this, but the bar seemed to me to need a lot of service help. We showed up after our friends at a table near the bar. Despite spending two hours there we never received table service. We had to go the bar to get any drinks or food we needed. Maybe someone at our table offended the staff. I also felt like I was treated different because of my race. Others received much better, friendlier service. We struggled to find another similar bar or place to enjoy ourselves prior to gambling. Since I didn't find a better place I will not recommend MGM, in general, to friends and family.

One of my favorite bars inside of the MGM Casino. Great food, great customer service, and an absolutely amazing atmosphere. Please try the shrimp basket and cherry cider beer. I can't say enough about this place. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed.

Excellent lunch on out first trip to TAP. Very cool place, roomy, tons a TV's. Outdoor seating with TVs available too. We got the nachos which were fantastic and the chicken club which was also very good. Our server Regis did a great job and was super-friendly. Excellent draft beer selection. Prices are a little on the high side but that is to be expected inside a casino like MGM. We will be sure to come back!

Mia is very rude to her callers. I asked if they had pizza and she said to stop calling her. You just lost a customer that has been there for an eternity. First of all, u need to have your employees fix their attitudes. If you don’t change this, I will file a police report. Don’t be rude to anymore customers, OR U Will PAY! I had the delicious rib dinner. The ribs were just the way I love them -- very, very tender with a delicious sauce. The waitress did a great job, there were plenty large screen TVs & the ambiance was great! My only disappointment & complaint was the small, small amount of (very delicious) coleslaw served. It was no more than 1-1/2 to 2 ounces of coleslaw -- served in one of those miniature cups u would expect to see ketchup or mustard in! One would think with the prices there, u would get more coleslaw. Other than the small amount of coleslaw -- u will not regret going there! Enjoy ur meal!!

****Updated Interim Review As of Very Late July 2019: James (Manager) and Roneisha (Hostess) were extremely kind to me, as was my Server. The ambiance here is casual but elegant. There is also ample seating including on their outside terrace. It is extremely clean and I was impressed as I saw James not only greet guests, but he also pitched in to help Serve I called here again today ahead of a visit I plan to make soon. The Young Lady I spoke with was Extremely helpful and through this call I just learned that they have a Live Band being used to accompany Karaoke Performers. I think that is very cool and now I really cannot wait to come here in person and update this post and interim Review asap afterwards****Please be advised that I have never been here before, but I plan to visit them very soon. I called them very recently to ask a general question and I had the pleasure of speaking with (Ms.) Nina. Nina was very kind to me even before I told her that I am a Google Local Guide (GLG). She possesses excellent Customer Service/Customer Care Skills and Telephone Etiquette. Not only that, she sounds like she is a very happy employee, and she made me feel like my inquiry was/is important, relevant and appreciated. These are the types of things I always look for when deciding if I'm going somewhere I've never been to before to spend my hard-earned money:) I now look forward to visiting TAP asap, and I will Update This Review and Rating asap and/or as appropriate after my first in-person visit. My experience at TAP tonight was absolutely terrible and disrespectful. There were five people in my party, we ordered food and drinks, we all took a shot and two of the people ordered second drinks. One person in our party had to leave, however the rest of us stayed to watch the game. When one of the members of our party got up to go to the restroom, the waitress, Christina, said that she needed us to cash out now or give her a card in order to continue. We began to explain that her request was offensive because we had already been there for over 30 minutes and we were there to watch the game and we weren't finished yet. She thenreplied that she was needed inside and she couldn't watch us in case we decided run out on the bill. We told her that the appropriate time to ask for a card was when we first arrived, not half way through the night and it's wrong to force us to close out and we're not ready to leave. She continued to reiterate her apprehension with us running out on the bill, we told her that we were paying with cash (while two cashed out at that time with a card). We gave in and gave her a card, but got the manager's attention. We reported the incident to the manager, he tried to take the blame for requesting her to cash out, after I told him what was said, he stated that he was going to speak with her. After speaking with his employee, he came back saying that she said she didn't say anything like what I alleged and he didn't want to call ANYONE a liar!!! What!!! I will not be returning. I wonder if I weren't Black, would I be treated differently.

Everyone enjoyed their meals ie: burgers, Philly cheese steak, salad. Heard the punch was really good. Casual atmosphere. Lots of TV's and lots of space. Good place to watch your favorite team score I'm sure the views would have been wonderful had it not been for bad weather. Though, we did see a Bald Eagle fly by!

This place was okay. The food was not too bad but their fries were awesome. This is supposed to be a sports bar but there was only one game playing in all the tv's around the restaurant when there were multiple NFL and NHL games going on. Overall it was an okay experience.

TAP is great! Philly sandwich and Statehouse Burger were delicious. Nachos are AMAZING!!!!!! Maybe we caught our server on an off night ? Because her service was sub-par, but environment is nice, MGM itself sets the tone so you're already winning, and televisions everywhere, so you can't miss a game. Is recommend you visiting. I'd like to go back :-)

The appetizers and burgers here are absolutely amazing! I was very pleased! The service is spectacular, and they have 24oz and 40oz beer options for a good price. The food is somewhat pricey! Also you can take your beer to go into the casino if you'd like too :)

The drinks are okay. The food is not. I ordered the Steakhouse Burger ($20) and it was the worse $20 burger I've ever had. The Capital Grille's Signature Cheeseburger for the same price is far better. At least there, I would get both the quality food and the elegant atmosphere. Another member of my party ordered the chicken tenders and they were truly laughable. They were not any sort of recognizable chicken texture, and likely to be frozen. You would have better luck at McDonald's. Note: There is usually a 45-50 minute wait. I skipped the line and went directly to the bar. In regards to the rest of the food at MGM, I am truly appalled given its prestige and the area that it is located. While I'm sure the Voltaggio Brothers Steakhouse is decent, if I'm paying top dollar, I expect top quality. The Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore has better restaurants and prices. I'll just go there next time.

The TAP Sports Bar is a great place to hange out and watch a few games on the large number of wall mounted tv's. The food was very good, and there were several bar games that could be played. The only reason I didn't give it 4 stars is because the beer prices were pretty high.

3:20pm on a Wednesday October 9, I set outside and waited over 20 min for someone to assist me an I had to ask the busboy to get my waitress. Although Doug was very nice this was unexceptionable.. manager spoke with me and apologized .. took care of my bill.. must have better service.

Things seemed awfully average for an MGM product and for a much higher than average price tag. Missed details like cold fries, incorrectly prepared desserts and unbussed tables, which I would expect a concept that self expresses this level of quality to get right on the first try. Very little happened at this visit to entice me to come back.

Tonight I went to Tap Sports Bar to celebrate my birthday and watch the football game. We ordered our food and my husband ordered a beer. We were there for about 15-20 minutes and the server didn't come and check on us to see if we wanted to order anything else. Our meal comes out about 30 minutes later and all we ordered was chicken wings and a salad not a difficult order and all this time the beer has not come yet. 30 minutes or so past our arrival time goes by and still no beer. Mind you during this time we received water but after that she was no where to be found. When she walks by she doesn't stop by our table so I grab her attention and asked what happened to his beer she said they were changing the tap. The beer he asked for was not available so he ordered another beer that took another 10 minutes. Now I know there's a football game on but the people who came after us received their drink order. Ok she's busy and we she has a few tables. We have to grab her attention again for the check and containers. Now she rings up the order and brings us the check and says the beer is on them. Ok that's great. Now here's where it goes south for me. She returns the check we're ready to leave and realize that she did not return the credit card. She is nowhere to be found. We're waiting and waiting 10 minutes go by. We ask another server to see if they can find her. Another 5 minutes go by so I go to the hostess station to ask for our server. Another 5 minutes go by no server so I again to the hostess station and this time I ask for the manager. I tell the hostess where we are sitting and can we have a manager. I see her tell the female manager and she begins walking around not once does she come over to see what we need. By this time another 10 min go by. This time my husband gets up and goes to the hostess station to ask for the male manager. Steven the male manager comes over to address our issue. We tell him that the server didn't return our credit card so he goes to the bar to see what happened to our card. Not once does the server come back over to check to see if we needed anything and neither did the female manager Monique. Steven comes over and is very sincere and apologizes for the mishap the server comes and not once does she apologize for the mishap and the only reason she came over was because the Steven the manager is standing their talking to us at our table. We get our card back and as I'm leaving I speak to Monique the other manager about our experience and all she can say is sometimes when one computer is down they have to go to another computer she apologize but it really doesn't seem as sincere as the other manager. Mind you that wasn't the case and had she come over to our table to ask us what the problem was she would have known that. We sat there for almost 30 minutes waiting for someone to address the issue. When a customer has an issue the manager should come over to see how they can remedy the situation. This is why I give Tap Sports Bar 1 star.

Was in town for work, ended up here two times, first time a little wait to be seated, nothing crazy. Food was good, had onion rings to start and a fish sandwich, and they had massive 42 oz beers. Wait staff was great with good personalities. Second time we came was on Sunday for football and where seated right away, they had multiple tv’s with multiple games. It got loud at times with people yelling at the games, but that’s typical. I got the nachos and fish tacos, both tasty, but the tacos where a little spicy for me but still good. We ended up with a 88 oz beer tube to share amongst our group. Definitely worth the visit plus you have the casino right there and parking was never a issue.

Don't go here on your Birthday!!!!!!!! This experience took place at the TAP Bar November 17 around 8 PM is when my evening started into the restaurant and asked to reserve a table for six or more people one wasn't available so the young lady suggest why don't we just wait at the bar. So we did and start ordering some appetizers and some drinks until the table come available,this took place after about an hour . Didn't run a tab we were paying as went. So wants a table was available we slid over to the table from the bar some friends remain at the bar some went to the table we also carry drinks that we ordered at the bottom of the table. We had a very nice time until the check and the young lady handed us the bill and I ma'am a lot of these drinks were ordered from the bar. So she went to get some else that went over the bill as we couldn't read and said I have explained the charges. She came back with upper management and we were surrounded by security. I have never been soooo embarrassed in my life so we paid the bill and left. So basically we paid double for our drinks!

Terrible service. Wasn’t even busy but service took forever. About 20 minutes to even get menus and be acknowledged. Rude, terrible service, overpriced food, food took forever to come out and came out cold. Place is garbage.

*5/29/2019: My husband spent a couple of hours at TAP Sports Bar...sitting at the bar watching TVs, while I picked up my "gift" and played slots. He enjoyed a few beers & ate a burger meal. When it was time to leave for home, we ordered food to go. The food is very tasty. The staff were friendly. *I don't drink beer but I found the atmosphere comfortable to be in. *There's an attached outside table area I would have enjoyed except I think there might have been smoking near it so I avoided the area.

Watch out for your bill when u go there. Waitress tried to bill me twice for wings. If friend never looked at her bill they would have got her. Coworker just told me the same thing with his bad experience there when they tried to double charge him for drinks. Be aware of your bill there people. They out to get you in my opinion. If they had a negative star I would click it.

Only reason for not choosing 1 star is because the burger was actually good. Straight from the moment we asked for a table we had a preview of the less than stellar service that was in our future. And this was a very slow Sunday evening with wait staff just meandering about (being a server i could tell they had no urgency). We were told there was a 30 min wait and there were at least a dozen empty tables and more that were empty but not cleaned off yet. We waited about 25 min and were seated..waiting 10 minutes until anyone came to our table. We ordered waters, cocktails, and our meal right away. 10 minutes later finally got waters. 10 more minutes later we got our drinks (kinda great but the beer was not cold at all). We ordered the crab dip with pretzel crostini and the tap burger with just cheese and sauce, no pickle. 20 minutes later a runner brought us our food (crab dip had tortilla chip-no pretzels, burger had a giant pickle and no sauce). The runner could not answer why I had no pretzels nor did he care. When we were almost done the waiter leisurely walked over and asked how we were. When asked about the missing pretzels the waiter replied "yeah they didnt tell me" and walked away. No apology, no offer to reduce the price..nothing. Ok fine. Another 25 min goes by and we are finally brought our check. $65 and totally not worth it. If everything was correct and the service was slightly more attentive then it would've been worth the money. However, by the looks of the faces of all the other customers, this looks to be the norm.

I reserved the TAPS Sports Bar for my Retirement Ceremony from the military. The staff was amazing from start to finish. The venue is awesome, the staff is amazing, and the mangers of the facility made everything PERFECT. Not to mention, the food I bought was well worth the money and out of this world amazing. They really went out of their way to accommodate me and my party.

Knew from the door what kind of service we were going to expect (1st red flag), but wow didn't think it could get worse once we were finally seated. 15+ tables open with 2 couples a head of us for a 30+ minute wait.... (2nd red flag). Once seated we waited a good 10+ mins for our server to show up with menus. Blah blah fast forward to about 20ish minutes later once food arrived (me: plain burger & fries please no pickle) plain burger & fries soaked in the juicy pickle sitting in the middle of the plate (barfing in my mind) (3rd red flag). (my wife) Ordered the crab dip with the pretzels. Which arrived with chips & ignored her when she asked where the pretzels were, to later find out when he finally came back that they're out of pretzels (4th red flag), wish we would've known maybe we could've chosen something more filling than chips for the same price as the pretzels some how. By the way the atmosphere seemed nice & the burger was delicious. Only reason for the 2nd star honestly.
