REVIEWS OF Silver Diner- BWI IN Maryland

Pedro Castro Alicea

The ambiance of the restaurant is nice, the space cleanliness is acceptable, and the waitress was very welcoming. Now the food treatment is not up to par. Eggs were not done properly (but we changed them and second time were good), the steak medallions were well past the the requested medium level. The sandwich (ham and cheese) was not evenly distributed. All the ham was on one side and the rest was cheese. Something simple like this should be done properly. It also had pieces of what looked like cilantro leaves, which suggest the cooking/prep area need a bit of attention. More oversight and effort is needed in the kitchen. Ingredients seem fresh but the delivery is poor, which is unfortunate. The place has the potential but needs management a bit more involved.

Jessica Nodsle

Pretty good. Order accurate, punctual service. Quick to cash you out so you can catch your flight. However mediocre presentation of food on the plate and very pricey for what we received portion-wise and again for the price I like my plate to look all appetizing. That said, my daughter loved the kids pancakes!

Martha Jacques

Anytime I have a layover I grab my meal here. Breakfast or lunch, great menu.

Tasha Gonzales

I had the Santa Barbara chicken sandwich AMAZING! Rest of the fam enjoyed theirs as well all but the shrimp poboy kind of plain. Service was great!

Erica Burnett

I am full and ready to fly! I love old fashion diners that represent for the name DINER! Living in Miami, from NJ, you dont find many but let me tell you. If you're in BWI airport in Baltimore, eat here! Customer service was decent. We waited for about 7 min before someone greeted us, but the lady In the front was cleaning and apologized! Our waiter was kind, and did his job well! Now let's get to the food. The options made me smile! Gluten free options for my baby boy, pescatarian options for mom (I mean we are in the seafood hub)! Vegan, Vegetarian options as well!! My Milkshake cookies and cream) was delicious, it tasted like icecream, which it probably was lol! My crabcakes sandwich was so fresh, I mean no filler just meat and a nice charred outside! My coleslaw which I despised (I ate the entire cup)! It had fennel seeds and some type of mint! Yum!!! My husband's cheesesteak was ok but we are originally from the NJ/Philly area, we rate those real tough! And, our appetizer fried shrimp was so juicy and fresh with a delicious pepper relish! The tarter sauce was not my favorite, it was more on the sweeter side! But all in all, great food!

Plane was delayed and had a craving for breakfast, which at the silver diner is available all the time. Everything was quick and the waitress was awesome. Food was great, and even a little mistake like forgot an item was quickly resolved. If looking for a great breakfast at BWI, this one is recommended

Angela Burkholder

Staff was friendly and attentive. Nice variety of menu options. The only fault I had was I ordered fish tacos the first time and fish snd chips the next and both times the fish was really overcooked.

Scott Warnick

Fantastic breakfast with great service. I eat here every time I fly out of BWI.

Bob Milton

We've always enjoyed our food. Service is usually pretty good. A little slow sometimes when the airport is packed at peak times. We go everytime we fly.

Chantille Kelly

I LOVE this place!!! We eat here every time we get the chance...the food and service are so great!!!

D Miller

Good diner food at the BWI airport. One of the few places you can sit down and be served. We always eat here when we have a layover. Normal diner food plus breakfast all day. Go and eat. It's a nice change from fast food.

Kim Hecht

Good service, good breakfast, relaxed atmosphere

Rita L'Herault

Very good airport food and great service

Nich W.

I've been flying through BWI for years and never stopped in at Silver Diner... Sad I missed out on it for this long. This is honestly the best food I've had at any BWI restaurant. The Brussels sprouts were delicious, and the banana peppers salsa with the fried shrimp was insanely good. Will be back here next time I'm traveling through!

Kenneth Mankowski

Had a nice breakfast between flights. Omlette was delicious, and quick service. Great spicy Bloody Mary. Looking forward to returning.

Glen Lord

BWI is full of places to eat however there only minimal places where you can get a decent breakfast. The silver diner offers a good breakfast as well as lunch and dinner so it's not your traditional diner in the sense of which you may think of if you've grown up in New Jersey however the food is good. There straight up front with you when you sit down if you don't have 45 minutes don't sit down the truth is it's not fast service so you have to make your own call it is an airport

Toccara Mo

Good food, fast service. Took away a star because they don't have waffles at this location. We still enjoyed our food, pancakes and gluten free French toast with sausage.

Party Hardy

Food was amazing! Sign states they have been around for 30 years & now I know why. The Amish cage free eggs on my Juevos Rancheros were the best I have had. Definitely a hidden gem at the airport.

Forrest Outman

Decent grub for an airport, diner vibe and menu. Airport prices and they also serve booze

Mae K.

I was a little nervous of trying this diner. So, I played it safe and got pancakes. They were phenomenal! Also, the jukebox system is so much fun. I'm such an old soul, I loved every minute of being in there!

Curt Bellavance

Clean, great service, and food was cooked and served just right. Glad I got to the airport a little early.

Roger Beaujard

Awesome! This is one of the best places at BWI! I highly recommend the filet medallions with Amish eggs, so good! Super friendly staff, my waitress was so nice and attentive. Also a reasonable price for good quality food, right around $30 including tip (depending on your generosity) for quality filet and eggs with a nice bowl of fruit, frizzled onions and potatoes. I highly recommend this place if you have a few minutes to kill at a sit down spot before your flight and you're looking for something a little better than the overpriced fast food norm usually found at most airports. Also noticed there were many vegan and substitute items on the menu for almost all the dishes for you not meat eaters.

Greg Brooks

The atmosphere was fun, but the fish was flat and dry, the Cole slaw was in a container the size of a ketchup container, and our waitress never asked if we wanted drink refills of our iced tea. Probably better to get fast food from one of the other fast-casual options.

Jason

Food was good, and server at the bar was polite, but she clearly had too many people to handle.

Syed Rizwan Ahmed

I tired their crabcake sliders. Crab cakes itself were nicely cooked, seasoned well, and well proportioned for three small sliders. Buns were toasted well. Good atmosphere and pleasant staff. Not a bad alternative to fast food around.

Stacy Fulcher

Diner style atmosphere, good food, cold drinks, reasonably priced

M Carnavos

It's a diner in an airport. Not bad for a solid meal preflight or during a layover. Better than other fast-food options.

Kristie Pate

Very good food! A little bit of a wait as it is cooked to order. Farm to table selections. We got the Bacon and Bleu Burger and the Tomato and Goat Cheese Bruschettaith were delicious and fresh. Service was terrific!

Darryl Rich

I am a fan of the Silver Diners located throughout DC-MD-VA area. They serve upscale and healthy comfort food in a retro diner atmosphere-also keto-friendly. This location in the B concourse of the BWI airport, serves the same quality food at the same prices as their off-airport locations. I actually waited until I arrived just so I could eat here. The iron skillet steak ($18) was well-seasoned, tender and juicy with great side dishes, and a decent inexpensive ($8) glass of red wine. It is my favorite restaurant in any airport.

Cierra Edgar

The atmosphere of this place is great! The love the fifties diner look. The service however, could have been a lot better. It took our waitress 10 minutes to even come to our table to take our drink orders. Then waited 10-15 more minutes before even getting our drinks. Before I received my coke she tried to bring me hot tea. Not sure if she was having an off day but it cost her because I usually tip pretty well. She got the minimum tip from me. I hope she has a better day with the rest of her patrons.

Dale Dabbs

Stopped in to have a quick bite before my flight. Our server, Willie did an amazing job!!! He not only ensured we were taken care of, he really brightened our day ! As far as the food goes, I love the Summer Citrus Salad with grilled salmon. It's healthy and tastes great. The brussel sprouts are very good also. If you have time, SD is a nice change of pace from the fast food joints. Ask for Willie!!!

Broth3r Sheep

Good food, good service would recommend this to my friends

Akash Bhattacharya

Found this place at BWI Airport. Really great comfort food before a long flight. They had me seated right away and got my steak and greens over pronto. The blue cheese garnish on the steak was especially delicious.

Brian Joseph

Food is decent, but wait staff is WAY too slow... better not be in a rush to your flight when eating here...

Chris C

Decent quality food. Had to send cold fries back, but server and manager were very accommodating...thank you!!

CStraight

Been here many times and it is Always slow. Don't stop for food if you have a plane to catch soon. Two of our visits the food came out cold, so it had obviously been sitting around waiting to be picked up. If we sent it back, we.would miss our plane, so we ate it. The quality is there, but they just miss on getting food out.

Mike Kohut

The place has a fun vibe as a 50s diner, but was pretty disappointing. My kid had the "silver dollar pancakes" which were oddly just regularly sized pancakes. I guess no reason to complain about getting extra food, but my kid was excited by the novelty of little pancakes and didn't have the appetite for 5 full-size pancakes. Wasted food. We also had shakes, which were served in plastic, disposable cups. Not sure why, as other dishes were real. We try to avoid disposable dishes, so we wouldn't have ordered had we known. The vegetarian chili was good.

Daniel Mitchell

Great place to stop in the airport to eat. Our waitress Taylor was awesome. The crab and corn chowder was good and the Carolina fried shrimp were also good. My father had the grilled chicken ceaser salad was also great and was dressed nicely. Will return here in the future if I have a layover. Recommend!

Matthew Dorsey

9 AM on a Monday and I've got a long layover. I decided to give The Silver Diner a try as they have outlets for charging my devices. I sat at the bar and ordered a coffee and water to start. It took 15 minutes to get the beverages. It was not busy. I order a couple eggs over medium with bacon, sausage patties, potatoes, and a biscuit. The eggs were cooked correctly but cold, bacon had obviously been sitting out for a long period of time was disgusting. Sausage patties were flavorless and cold. Food is bad, service is poor. Go someplace else.

George Carrick

Busy little diner, didn't seem so eager to seat singles at booths instead of at the bar. Once seated, my experience grew exponentially. I ordered the flat iron steak with mashed potatoes, spinach greens and shoestring onions. For 18.00, this was a great meal. Best spinach greens I've had in a long time and for a flat iron steak, it was very tender. The blue cheese topping made it even better! The service, other than the hostess was fantastic. Definitely on my short list!

Robin Bailey

The staff is great, never let me down. Eat there often when traveling. Full bar & breakfast all day/night always my order & husband loves their cheeseburgers, great portions. Kid friendly. Lots of TV screens, cool music, mini jukeboxes at each booth. I love this place!

Rebeca Irvin

I sat at the bar and Ashley was my bartender. She greeted me as soon as I got there and the service was friendly and fast, she's really sweet. I got the southwest Turkey sandwich and it was really good. I was only here for a brief layover but if I would definitely have spent more time / money there due to the service. This will be my new hang out spot when i have layovers at bwi

Jack Weiner

I thought it was very nice. Had a very good club sandwich.

Arn Adams

I do not often give 5 stars but menu is better than any restaurant I visited this week in Baltimore's Inner Harbor area. I had the Mango Stir Fry pasta dish and it was flavorful and delicious as well as nutricious! Friendly staff and large seating area allowed me to get some work done after my meal in a more pleasant environment than airport seating area (couldn't do this if too busy). Highly recommend.

bluette blinoff

Rock solid food, friendly and speedy service. Exactly what you would expect from an airport diner. Have only had breakfast here, but they get your particulars right or they fix your order. Egg white omelet? No problem.

Linda Jackson

The diner experience was awesome. Food delicious. Ask for Courtney...she is very nice!

Ronnie Obenhaus

Service was pretty slow, but what can you expect at BWI? Food was pretty decent.

Melissa Carpenter

A diner that serves breakfast all day made with good ingredients and they serve butter with biscuits (not fake stuff!), what's not to like?

Curtis Lewis

Spacious and attractive, but I could not achieve the taste that I wanted out of their "caramelized burger. It was like eating cardboard. Maybe it was because I love to cook, in which the number one purpose is to achieve good to excellent flavor!

Kenneth Miller

Always consistently good food. Reasonably priced. Beer and wine available. Fast service.

Rick Moncauskas

This was surprisingly good for airport food. We had roasted Brussel sprouts for an appetizer. My wife had bruschetta avocado toast for her entree. I had the Cobb salad. It was all quite good. Recommended. This is adjacent to the "A" Gates. Not sure how far from the others. Not particularly cheap. But it was sure tasty between flights. Service was prompt as well. We overhead another patron praising the table service they received. Ours was fine. Not exceptional. Not bad. Just adequate and prompt.

Shannon March

I love the burger's here they are really good very clean always friendly. Fast if u want it to go I have never waited longer then 20 min. It runs about 12 bucks with fries I believe. I get mushrooms. Super yummy!!!

Josh Sacks

The signs say that they have the best burgers in the washington area. And boy, do they!! Wowee. First, let me say that the buns are spectacular. The meat? Better than mine (that I could make at home that is!). Onions are to die for. Do yourself a favor and go to silver diner even if you aren't flying anywhere! Make sure to make reservations, as it does get busy especially around holidays.

Bill Stevens

Great dinner food....pricey but very good.

LaTanya Royal

Good food and service. Can be a little pricey.

CC Norris

Fast and friendly service. Good food at good prices. Food definitely made to order and done right!

T Carlson

This place should be avoided. It took someone 20 minutes to come take my order, they dropped my food and nobody came to ask how it was or if theres anything else I needed. I spent another 20 minutes waiting for someone to come take my money so I can get on a plane. If you have a quick layover, this is NOT the place. I felt terrible for my waitress. She was running around taking care of a lot of people. Yet employees walked by often not offering help.

Bryan Smith

Slow....slow ...slow service and even slower service to get your bill. Was not busy so that was not the issue...all the staff was standing around watching tvs.

Dominic Estes

Highly recommend staying clear of this place. Food was ok but the staff are very rude and neglectful. Had to wave down waitress to get anything. Never got a refill on drinks until we were done with the meal and cleaned the entire table up ourselves. After leaving a tip that was more than fair for the service we got, gave us a nasty stare as we were leaving.

Jessica Balch

Felt a little rushed at first, which was not what I was looking for since I had a 4 hour lay over. Our server got the hint after a few stops over to the table asking us if we were ready. Enjoyed the appetizer sampler, definitely came with a good amount food. Everything came out in a timely manner as well. I had the fried chicken and mac n cheese, it was very filling. Not too bad for an airport diner. I like the 50s feel and juke boxes on the tables. Service was okay

Kevin Paterson

Sat at the bar and was attended to right away. Ordered the BISON HUEVOS RANCHEROS and it was delicious. A meal packed with protein and flavor. I didn't care for the 3 toasted tortillas but the main dish was great. Today was the second time ordering it and I was not disappointed.

Arne Gilje

Food might be ok if it were not stone cold. Watched my meal sit on counter while server was doing, what??? No teamwork from others Too bad. Could be a good place...

Jason Blanchard

This place exceeded my breakfast expectations. The food is very fresh, great flavor, and was served quickly. I've been to this airport so many times but never stopped in for breakfast, I'll be eating here in the mornings for now on when I'm flying out.

Chuck Paone

Classic American diner atmosphere yet all the classic diner food with a modern green twist. True world class dinning experience in the hub of BWI. A true original wrapped in a classic wrapper

Amy G

Love the low fat vegetarian omelet. Delicious veggies and cheese with slightly fresh fruit. Also really enjoy the whole grain toast. I like sitting at the bar for faster service and to see the departure board in case anything with my flight changes. Unfortunately the service was a bit slower today so I only did 4 stars. Still highly recommend! Grits are good too :)

Paul Colacicco

I eat here every time I fly out of BWI and I've never been disappointed. Great service at the bar if you've got a lot of time and if you want a meal the wait staff is excellent as well. I've enjoyed all of the burgers and sandwiches I've had so far, my girlfriend got a meatball plate once that was a little underwhelming. I never expected airport food to be good but I've come to really look forward to grabbing a bite here before every flight.

Rob Morris

Food was great, service at the table was great, but... Trying to pay to get out of there was horrendous. 4 people standing around at the cash register and not one of them acknowledged me.

David Galas

excellent breakfast with Mags on the way to Silver Springs Porsche! Service and cleanliness were spot on. My favorite in BWI.

pworks67

Average restaurant. Food was ok, not great. They had no bags for leftover containers. Server was nice.

Jon Washington

Good breakfast in the airport. Fast service.

Mark Walczak

Slow service, but my food choices were delicious.

Howard Goodman

Good food but took way too long to arrive. Good thing we weren't pressed for time to get to our flight.

Jennifer Myers

Just left this restaurant. Stopped for breakfast before flight. Ignored rude and unprofessional hostess who was talking to a friend while I stood at her kiosk. Then had the nerve to tell me I had to talk nicely to her in response to my saying we were two for breakfast. Could not ignore the bright yellow fingernail that fell out of our rolled silverware onto the table. Grossest place I’ve ever seen.

Joshua Strickland

Great food and the girls up front were really fun and nice. For an airport was really impressed.

Spikegary

Good food, very nice server (Rebecca). Surprisingly good for airport food.

Karen Shimp

Nice diner feel, fantastic pancakes, so-so bearnaise

Ben Sandler

Good food. Excellent service.

John E

Great food and drinks! The fish and chips with old bay seasoning was glorious.

Christina C

quick service and bomb mac n cheese

Darah Zeledon

Disgusting. Filthy - floors, tables, everywhere. Terrible service. Employees more interested in socializing with each other than attending to customers.

Brian Jenkins

I've eaten here a handful of times. Service is slow especially for an airport. The food is a bit above average. It could be a nice place but needs some effort to do it.

Mercedes Bush

Interesting food choices, bot your regular dinner food. A little pricey but overall ok.

David S

It's very spacious inside and the menu offers a nice change from normal airport food. Service was really prompt and attentive and prices are reasonable. We ordered a burger, strawberry milkshake, three egg and meat skillet, and pancakes. The skillet was surprisingly excellent and very filling. Loved the sausage. The burger was just an average burger, nothing to write home about, and the pancakes were ordinary. But overall a good experience.

Steve Greyhound

For the price, value and fantastic customer service this is absolutely the best place to eat in the Southwest Terminal. Prices are not overly inflated and Jenny and Jeff at the bar are exceptional and the company should let them know how well they are doing. Thanks for providing me a great burger before my flight. Can't say enough.

Lorrie Griffith

Service was great, I had breakfast. They fried my sausage and fried my potatoes. Who knew they were gonna fry everything. My scrambled eggs were perfect.

Gerard McGann

If you have a layover and have time to eat this is the place to be. They have the best crab cakes and desserts!

Ben Gross

Well worth the extra time and money when you're at BWI. You can grab a chicken sandwich or a burger, but will why not get the fresh, healthy, tasty food at the Silver Diner? The staff is super fun, I'm just a really nice experience before you have to deal with travel dot-dot-dot

Alexis Rentas

I travel several time during the year and most of the time I make connection in this airport. I can tell you without a doubt the best place to eat and service. The name Silver Dinner I change to the gold dinner. The place clean and comfortable, the people working there very respectful and nice. The food has been consistently the best, the meat loaf, steak and my favorite dessert Aple pie is the best I ever taste.

Andrew Cameron

Holy moly. This is an objectively top tier diner by any measure, which is all the more impressive given that it's in an airport with a relatively captive audience. Even though they could phone it in, they don't. Excellent food, very good service, and great atmosphere. It is an order of magnitude better than I was expecting. I'd almost travel to BWI for this diner alone. Absolutely love it.

David Thack

Great option for airport food. Wait staff are friendly. Big menu with some tasty vegan/veggie options. Atmosphere is a bit hectic, but it is an airport.

Alan Dash

OMG. I've eaten here before and it's been great but today I ate lunch in Boston and had a layover here in Baltimore and decided to get some dessert. Wow. I swear if my airline don't make me buy a second seat I'll be punch drunk stunned. I had this icecream with pretzels, peanutbutter syrup, and whipped cream that not only impacted me in a positive way, but everyone around me!

Jonathan P

The food was alright, as was the atmosphere, but their food handling techniques need a lot of work. I was there for less than 30 minutes and I spotted three employees behaving in a way that could contaminate cooked food. There were two women wearing gloves working the counter getting food ready for the servers. They both touched surfaces while wearing gloves that they shouldn’t have, one a drawer handle that other employees had touched without gloves, and the other touch another employee’s shirt. They both continued to handle food as if their gloves were still perfectly clean. The worst, though, had to be the server that twice grabbed the gloved hand of one of these women in a social way, without any regard for the fact that his hands were absolutely not clean and she was directly handling food. I have no delusion that any restaurant has perfect food handling, but to see such cavalier attitudes to safety directly in front of customers (I was sitting at the counter looking directly at the food prep area) is surprising. Makes me wonder how things are handled in the back. I did see multiple employees not wearing gloves that handled plates in a proper and safe way, but those with gloves on seemed to think that gloves are magic and instantly make everything clean. I did still eat my food, and I’m assuming I not going to die from it, but I don’t think I’d go back to this place.

Richard Tracy

Good beer. Burger was good. Nice environment to relax before flight

Damp Fijiwater

My burger was raw in the middle but our server was great I recommend him his name is billy

Neeni Juju

Very nice Diner. Surprised that they had good Vegan and Vegetarian dishes. Surely recommend this Diner to all.

Review Princess

Food was very good, a little pricey even for airport food. The only disappointment was the feeling of being rushed as in “hurry and leave so someone else can have that booth”... when you are in between flights the last thing you want is a waitress in a hurry and to feel rushed. Over all it was a good experience.

Michael Pontillo

If you have to go to the airport and end up with some extra time, it's the place to go. It's a full Diner menu and full service restaurant. It's a great stop when you have some time to kill. The food is good and a service is good as well. I definitely suggest you letting them know if you are in a rush for a flight.

Brandon Gwaltney

Food was very good, they serve breakfast all day (always a plus) and milkshakes. For being an airport restaurant, the service was very friendly and they have jukeboxes at every table. Of the options, this is a pretty good one if you're in the mood for breakfast or diner food.

John Raulerson

Had four hour layover in Baltimore and chose to eat at Silver Diner. My wife and I were very pleased. She got a salad and I got a cheeseburger. Both were great.

Kelly Ann Varonfakis

My husband and I had breakfast here on a weekday at 6 am while waiting on our flight. Plenty of servers at that time of morning and not a lot of customers but service was still slow (albeit friendly). My husband was never offered a coffee refill and it took about 40 minutes for the food to arrive. My ultimate power breakfast was sitting on an oil slick yet the mushrooms were dry and burnt. The red pepper was also burnt, and while the chicken sausage had good flavor, it was room temperature. My husband's over eggs were cooked very well and his breakfast was your average diner fare.

Thomas Reich

It's a Silver Diner! In an airport! If you've ever had diner food, you know what to expect. The menu isn't very big but they have all the major staples. They serve breakfast all day. This location seems well managed -- I went in at 8am, probably their busiest time of day, and I was helped promptly and my food came out relatively fast. There was a long wait for a table, but they have an enormous bar and you can just walk right in and take a seat there. So bypass the line and go right to the bar I'd you're in a hurry. The food was average, but again, my expectations aren't high in an airport.

Phineas Toolan

Good food, and good service. Is right in the middle of all the gates so it is very accessable.

Andrea Pontano

Very good food and service. Quick and large portions. Perfect before our flight.

Randy Fasnacht

Nice and fast. Food above normal quality for airports. Service has always been polite. I've tried the Crab Cakes and the burgers. Both are very good.

Dan Hetrick

Clean, fast and tasty. Biggest glazed of orange juice and coffee I've ever had.

Elaine Durgin

Had a very long day and looking at a long night, This crew made such a difference! Sitting and listening to this crews banter and exchanges was like listening to family. Five hours left til home and I feel rejuvanized. Be sure to stop here, it's worth it.

Jeff Gibson

Kendra P was the best! Burger and fries #1.

tara-kay Booth

New menu, super friendly staff and it great fish tacos.

William Penning

Place was filthy. Dishes strewn over every counter for the entire time I was there. Plenty of wait staff on hand. Grits were dry and couldn't melt the butter. I'd definitely avoid the next time I come here.

LM S

Healthy, delicious, farm-to-table food. You'd never guess by the name, but it's innovative, exquisite farm-to-table casual food that has earned a following at each of its several locations. They have meat and produce labeled by which local farm provides it. It's that crossover between healthy (fruits and veggies really shine across the menu), and just gorgeously executed simple food. Not your usual airport fare! Let's start by talking about the breads. The biscuits - they're always flaky, lightly sweet, the perfect treat. They don't need butter, but it's delicious with butter. Oh and the multigrain bread - how is it even possible for just toast to be so good? (Pro tip, if you're broke and need to fill up on something substantial and delicious, a side odd multigrain toast will do it for ya.) And the chicken noodle soup - that's never been my thing, ever, until Silver Diner, but I always get a cup of chicken noodle soup here. It's perfect, in a way I've never seen anywhere else. I have spent too much time mulling over why, and still can't tell you why it's so perfect, but it is. Their omelettes are so good. I love the host cheese, basil, and tomato omelette, drizzled with balsamic glaze, with a side of their toast and strawberries. I'm drooling thinking of it. It's simple and delicious.

Michael C

Gluten free friendly! Wonderful food. An awesome spin on the old school diner. Food is outstanding and service for being inside BWI is pretty good. Check it out next time you're flying through.

Branden Strickland

Fast kind service. Good all-day breakfast. Kids menu and mimosas for the parents! Quick service as expected in an airport!

Special K

Good food, friendly staff. The wait time was a little long.

Tibo B

Pleasant and Friendly service, breakfast was very yummy and reasonably priced!

Ali Jak

Very friendly and accommodating. Taylor was the best! She was very attentive and polite. I ordered the veggie stir fry with the salmon and it is my new favorite!

mike gallo

Not bad food for an airport diner. Can get very busy at times

Joe S

Very busy diner being that it is inside of the bwi airport. Breakfast was ok. The staff is very friendly. If you have a layover more than hour I'd go here if you'd like to sit and take your time with your meal.

Michelle Cohen

Really good food, especially for an airport diner, food is fresh, and the portions are good, too. 4.5 stars for food. But the service is pretty consistently only average to bad. The people working are nice and pleasant! But they are slow and not attentive at all to customers.... not what you want when eating at the airport. 2 stars for service. I would still come bc the food is good.... it's consistently good. I just wish they would step up their game service-wise.

C A Harris

I have been traveling through BWI for nearly 20 years...."Silver" has always been a "main stay" for me... you won't be disappointed!

Dennis OConnor

Very good food. Service is slow.

D B

Everything was exactly what I expected for a diner. Decent service. Friendly bartender. Food that left me uninspired, but no longer starving. Recommended: the chicken noodle soup Not recommended:the grilled cheese... (personal preference) Not cheesy enough, and cooked in grease, not butter.

Theodore Lindsey

Good restaurant. Good mix of local items. Good selection on menu. Fish and chips were good. Deluxe cheeseburger was also good. Some healthy options also. I would definitely recommend this place.

Edith Westfall

Usually a solid choice for a quick dinner before a flight. Today I waited 10 minutes for my order to be taken or needed offered a drink. Ended up leaving and going to the food court.

Tunisha Gilbert

The drinks were awesome for the airport. We had breakfast food which was typical so i have no complaints

Pattie Pogue

Very good and relatively inexpensive for airport food. Good quality, nice staff

Queen_ Nai

Great! They had wondered food options and fantastic service.

Karl Green

Great service and good food.

Leslie Sheehan

I fly 2-3 times a month from BWI and almost always eat at the diner. Tonight it was over capacity so I stood in line with others waiting. So when the first person walked past all of us and sat at the counter and got served, I asked hostess if I could sit at the counter and she said no, they won’t serve anyone that sits so I went back in line. Then a 2nd person did the same and got served so did the 3rd, I asked her again and she said the same thing. By then the people in front of me got disgusted and left. I went back to waiting while she stood with her nose in her phone and when the 4th person walked by me and sat at the counter, I was shocked so when the couple behind me made a comment, I said I didn’t know why she was doing that. She then picked up 2 menus and rudely said “you can go to the counter” and addressed the people behind me to follow her to sit. As I was walking to the counter, I decided I wanted to speak with the manager. I asked her if I could and she sure, go ahead. When I asked where the manager was, she waved her hand in the direction of the counter and said down there and walked away. I had to ask another employee where the manager was. The manager immediately came out from behind the bar to talk to me and apologized for her behavior. He did offer to seat me and He even offered food to go and I declined. I don’t mind being a good patron and waiting but to wait and be treated that way gave me no desire to stick around and continue seeing her glare at me because I went to the manager. Might want to think about who is welcoming your patron and make sure they have the right dispositions.

The bison huevos rancheros is always a hit

Kevin Edwards

Horrible. Did not eat the meal. My omelette was just scrambled eggs, with the toppings thrown in it. I refused the meal and just ate the free sausage, the manager offered me.

Mason McGrew

Slow slow service. Took 40 minutes to get an omelet. Toast was burned, strawberry fruit plate was missing the strawberries. Horrible.

We weren’t expecting much from an airport diner but we were so pleasantly surprised with how great our meals were! The bison huevos rancheros were so good, everything was so fresh and I was able to sub gluten free toast for the tortillas. My wife had the pesto chicken Parmesan sandwich, she loved it too. Kid had a bacon cheeseburger that looked amazing - thick burger on a quality bun. Really good, would for sure go back. Wasn’t anything fancy but food was really great, friendly server, and quick service!

Food was great, but I saw the waitress maybe three times total during the hour and a half I was sitting here. A large amount of that time was spent simply waiting on the waitress for simple things, like water or the bill so I could leave. Great food, non-existent service.

Jezmynne Dene

This was surprising! Usually, airport food is gross, so I didn’t have high hopes. But I was wrong. Our food was great! My burger was high quality and well prepared. The fries were fresh, as were the veggies on the burger. The tea was fresh brewed, and our server happily filled our to-go cups up on our way out the doors. This was a great find!

Kristian Kuhn

Oddly enough I really look forward to grabbing a bite here before catching my flight. The food has always been tasty and the service is quick. I've tried a variety of items but the last thing I got was the breakfast skillet and it was awesome.

Daniel Ozdowski

I grew up in the area and Silver Diner was always a treat. They've continued to have a large diner menu complete with local specialties like crab-cake, but they've also expanded to have a locally-sourced, sustainably harvested ingredient chain described on the menu. Our food was "better than your average airport option" and the staff was pretty good mix of friendly and efficient.

Janna Braxton

Quite pricey. Spent $19 for a burger and a sprite but the portioning was great. Well worth the money.

Janine Blackwell

Got what I asked for. Food came out in a timely manner. Food was tasty. Bartender wasn't rude or friendly, he just...was.

Steve Hiner

I ordered the bison meatloaf which comes with mashed potatoes, haystack onions, streamed vegetables. The meatloaf was good, the onions were great, the vegetables were acceptable but would have been better if they were seasoned and the mashed potatoes were adequate but nothing special. I also ordered the Smith Island cake for dessert. It is a 7 later sponge cake. Today it was lemon. It was dense and dry. I suspect it has been sitting in the refrigerator for a while or possibly was frozen at some point. That tends to dry out a cake. The flavor was ok but there texture was wrong. All in all, kinda what I'd expect from a diner in an airport.

Cathy Furlong

Excellent food. Good service. Quick lunches.

Larry Rarus

Great service. Comfortable atmosphere. They advertise breakfast all day. I ordered a breakfast meal at 9PM. It looked and tasted like or had been on the grill since 9AM.

Dave Roche

Pretty good diner located inside BWI International Airport. I recommend the Huevos Racheros.

Claire Runquist

I always make sure I check in for my flights early so I can grab a bite to eat here! I've never been disappointed

Mark Ahlman

Food is always good, but the BWI location kindof smells like a French Quarter bar...

Dave Philpott

Really good food! I had the steak and my partner had the grilled brussel sprouts. We had a side of avacado toast and happily charged our phones at the convenient outlets at our booth.

Ken Harris

Nice place for airport food

Tom Franklin

It is called a diner, but don't let that fool you. Best meal I have ever had in Baltimore. I am GF and they had amazing options.

Ken Voland

Great place to stop and eat when your are in the area. Servers are polite and friendly

Bob Kilbride

Typical Diner fare, unimpressive. Ordered chicken tenders, fries, slaw $14, was no more than I could've gotten at any fast food place for 1/2 the cost. Although not crowded at all, wait staff was a bit slow, also they don't look out for each other, no chemistry.

Erik Madsen

A surprisingly great menu for an airport restaurant. Lovely service. Avocado toast is on point!

Breakfast was good and hearty. Marshall was a great guy and constantly made sure we were well taken care of.

William M Moore

Didn't expect such good food in an airplane terminal. Food was very tasty, great flavors. We had Fish tacos, a turkey club, & and a bison pesto burger. All were great! The service was very friendly and attentive.

Dylan Raum

Good service. great food. clean restaurant

Loren Ellis

Really good food. Not expected when it's called a "diner." I've eaten here dozens of times and it has always been good. Service is 3 stars. Food is 5 stars.

Ed Murry

I fly through BWI quite often and if I'm looking for a meal this is my go-to. All the basics and a few extras, with all-day breakfast available. Good milkshakes and generally friendly service.

Kirk Franklin

Went for lunch early around 11:10. Got seated promptly and ordered the advertised Deluxe Burger. Simply put, it was delicious. An unbelievable find in an airport! Even the price for an airport wasn’t terrible. When I’m there again I will definitely stop for another meal. Well done Silver Diner!

David Emmanuel Goatley

Friendly and efficient staff; tasty food.

Kirk Eppenstein

Very affordable for airport food. Food is good and you actually get silverware and are not served on paper/styrofoam. If I have a layover there again, I will be back.
