I came in to eat lunch and asked for 차돌박이(chadolbagi) Which is thinly sliced ribeye, non marinated brisket. I was told that they didn't allow for you to cook at the table anymore due to not having ventilation on the table, and told me the meat was cooked inside the kitchen, then served. I told them that was fine. The first thing I have noticed when I got the meal was that the meat looked marinated, and wasn't ribeye meat more like rump meat or leg meat, looked lean and tough like bulgogi, definitely not ribeye. The owner lady told me that it came marinated. I know what 차돌박이 is, which plain non marinated ribeye briskets. I told them I did not want that, it was not what I ordered. The owner tells me l the meat is flavorful and that I should try it. But I didn't want to pay a premium price for something I didn't want or substitute it with lower quality meat. She told she'd replace it with another meat. I did not want to change it with another meat, and told that I wanted kimchi stew instead. She reluctantly took it back after failing to persuade me to eat a food I did not want. I was a bit concerned about the next food I ordered because she looked very upset, but still ordered due to being late for work and I was with my dad, and he was eating while this happened. He had the kimchi stew also. As they prepared my meal I saw the chief sticking her head out the corner and stared at me then went back inside the kitchen which I thought was suspicious. As they brought my food I felt uneasy about it and stirred it around to see what was inside and found a rice cake that was half eaten, so I put it to the side and asked the owner someone put a rice cake in there half eaten, she replied that it breaks off sometimes and they cut it off with their fingers. That to me looks half eaten, as you can see it in the picture, I tried to replicate it by eating one myself and looked identical. I reluctantly ate the food because I didn't want to waste it, so I put aside the old freezer smelling pork and half eaten rice cake in the stew and ate. As I was eating I saw the chief stick her head out and looked towards me again while I was eating, at this point I felt disgusted. I have never ever complained about food anywhere. Not even a type of person to write reviews, and I'm most likely to just eat anything rather than wasting time. This time it was different, very disgusting, unprofessional and the food was pretty bad, also very rude service/fooling around with customers food. I Thought people would want to know what I experienced today, that people have a right to know. There are plenty of Korean restaurants that taste way better than here. I almost got forced to eat and pay for something I didn't want and ate something they fooled around with in the back. I am never ever spending another dollar at this restaurant. I would never ever recommend eating here period, not worth a dime of your dollar.
