Here you will be able to see all the reviews of people who have information of the products and services of Seoul Food D.C. (Restaurant) around Maryland area.
Nowadays this firm has a score of 4.7 over 5 and that rating was based on 255 reviews.
As you can see the average score it has is nearly the best, and it is based on a large number of scores, so we may say that the rating is quite accurate. If many people have bothered to rate when they've done well, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to give feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...

Great secret in Takoma Park
Great food and extremely big portions!
Always the best.
Fantastic food!
I just got back from Korea and this place tastes just the same as many of the places there. Very authentic and friendly service.
We have been there so many times over the past couple of years. No matter what dish I eat, I am always amazed by the freshness, the deliciousness, and the friendly atmosphere.
Love the Korean Superbowl
Fantastic food! Plenty of nutritious vegan alternatives. Owners are friendly and sweet, bringing a sense of community into the neighborhood.
Truly a hidden gem, tucked inside the Exxon gas station is one of my favorite mom and pop Korean BBQ restaurants. I've been here more times than I can count on fingers and toes. You can really feel the passion that the couple have and the chemistry in their teamwork. I'm impressed by the large vegan selection ranging from bibimbap, kimichi noodles, maki rolls, butternut squash soup, rice bowls, scallion pancakes, and veggie burgers. Don't worry, they also have plenty of beef and chicken options as well as some comfort food like tacos and quesadillas. Although the food is a bit expensive considering it's in a gas station, it's bursting with flavor with generous portion sizes. The food is also relatively healthy especially if you substitute rice for quinoa for a $2 charge. As some Yelpers have mentioned, go with the handwritten board on the side that contain "specials" and not the main board at the top. The main stuff is good, but the specials are more adventurous and authentic. My favorites are the Lotus Buddha Bowl, Nirvana Jap Chae noodles, veggie croquettes, veggie super bibimbap with mushroom and kimichi. The desserts are quite good as well. I love the pumpkin whoopie pie, cinnamon and chili truffles, and apple pudding cake. The teas are nice as well. As parking is a bit of hassle (generally park in one of the overflow lots), I'm relieved that Seoul food is moving to Takoma, a much better neighborhood right next to my other favorites SouperGirl and Evolve. Can't wait to visit the new store front!
Always great food here. Ranges from simple rice bowls to bowls with kimchi, fried eggs and choices of meat. Husband and wife team are always pleasant and welcoming.
The food is the best. All three flavors you want. It's s but of wait sometimes and seating is limited. But it's worth it
Omg. Omg. Omg. Yumm. Go now.
Delicious
SUPER BOWL IS WHERE IT IS AT. Anything else is a pale imitation of the deliciousness. Do not forget to get the korean pancake. I recommend you eat here at least three times a month. Its delicious, what could go wrong?
Great Bibimbap, my favorite is the firecracker chicken.
Great food, fun atmosphere. Excellent vegetarian and vegan options.
I never got to go to the old location but, at the new place, the restaurant looks awesome. It is welcoming and well organized with a really nice environment. The food was excellent and it came out incredibly fast. Also really enjoyed their desserts and thought the staff was friendly and helpful. We are definitely going back for more because the menu is varied and plentiful. Really impressed that dishes were clearly labeled GF, VG or V. We want to try all their food!
Food is certainly good, but the woman owner has a snippy attitude. If you ask her to explain the extra item that goes into their "super" plate, she condescends on you. Other places with similar quality cooking, but with better attitude and service. Do not recommend.
Brand new establishment and a little disorganised, but good food. Partner expected a little more heat out of "medium", but I liked mine that way. There was no pepper sauce available in the cutlery caddy to amp up the heat on your own.
Total for American taste. Not a Korean food actually.
Service is great and friendly and the food is just an explosion of flavors, and the fact that they support local farmers and use no artificial ingredients is a huge bonus. A must go.
One of the best
Great place to eat, has lots of options and the food never tastes bad not even the desserts. The waiters and staff are friendly and helpful. Plenty of seating and has a bar.
Fantastic food!
Absolutely delicious! We're vegetarians and everything we ate was delicious. They need to expand ..very small but wonderful!!
Great food
Great food. Ample portions. Organic ingredients.
This is a place me and my partner frequent quite a bit. We actually took her parents there tonight and they were satisfied as well. The comfortable, mismatched furniture adds to the appeal. The food is consistently amazing
I'd eat here every day, if I could. Everything we've ever had here is delicious, but a favorite is the pork and chives bibimbap on a salad. Try the pancakes, too, and any of the baked goods. There's always a great variety, and they're universally good. And it's in a gas station, which is so cool!
Very pleasant Korean-fusion food. Very cozy, boho vibe with a very warm, personal atmosphere.
Great place for bulgogi. Great price too. Don't be scared off that it's in a gas station. There's room for maybe 12 people to sit down. Edit May 2018- They moved! :( I'm sad that they apparently moved to somewhere in Tacoma Park so they are no longer down the street from me, but I am also happy for them that they made it out of the gas station.
This place sucks! Buyer beware!! I had powerful diarrhea for 3 days after eating here and had to go to the emergency room. Please stay away if you care about your health...
A Korean restaurant in a gas station?! Yes. And it is absolutely amazing! Parking can be an issue, but this place is worth the effort. Be sure to try their homemade drinks too (the cinnamon apple cider is spectacular!).
This place is absolutely awesome. Great menu, lots of variety, and terrific service. Only minor problems are lack of big eating area and hours.
Fabulous Korean fusion dishes in an innovative ambience. You can park at the Exxon next door.
The beef ribs sold me! Delicious and very tinder ! what is the trick?? LOL I will definitely comeback to this establishment, price is fair
The croquettes mean everything to me.
Most delicious restaurant in DC. Everything I've eaten has been fantastic.
The best
Delicious!
This is my favorite restaurant. I have been coming here since they started this place. This used to be a good truck in DC. They have the best Korean fusion food. The food is simply amazing. If you are in this area then you should visit this place.
Great food with a great vibe!
Good food, juices are overpriced, and wish the woman was more personal, and smiled !
If you expect general Korean food, you had better not go there. Except for bibim bab and bulgogi, most of the food is so mixed with different seasoning and spicies. Also not many Korean people often order bibimbab when they eat out. It's actually closer to unique and fusion food though. In addition, I am confused about why they purposely named their restaurant 'Seoul food' even though they are selling fusion food, which is very different from Korean cuisine.
This food is amazing and the Owners are super nice as they go out of their way to provide the highest level of service. The care and craft is noticeable and youlll instantly want to come back for more. A great spot for vegans, vegetarians, and carnivores alike! Try the Bulgogi Hoagie...tasty!
The Price is too expensive.
Absolutely a place worth trying, the food is great and well prepared, the prices are fair and it is regularly well kept here. 5 stars.
This was terribly salty, unauthentic.
Fantastic find for vegetarian and vegan food. It's such a treat to get Korean Classics in vegetarian/ vegan format. And not just a vegetarian version of bibimbap, which isn't too hard to find. Ate here today for the first time and will be back. The space is not large and has a funky rather than fancy vibe, but I understand that they will be moving to Takoma in the spring of this year (2018), which will hopefully give them more space.
Fusion restaurants suck.
Would absolutely recommend trying this place. Excellent mood, delightful food, good service. I recommend this place.
My go to place for a fast lunch
I've been a fan of this restaurant since the old days back at the Wheaton Exxon station. So glad they've moved to a larger space with plenty of authentic Korean food options. I stopped by recently with a friend to have the super bibimbap, chicken japchae and the scallion pancake. Wow portions here are generous and they pack alot of flavor. Each bowl was filled with plenty of fresh veggies and delicious meats. The scallion pancake was cooked to perfection and had a lil heat. I loved the decor here. Definitely a homie hipster type vibe. Guess you can say it's a fast casual restaurant with plenty of art to look at while your dining. I definitely enjoyed my meal here and we'll be back to try their tacos and Kim chi noodles.
So happy to have a vegan friendly spot close to home. Food is fresh and delicious and service is great!
A tiny place with only 2 communal tables but, man oh man, the food is good! A little pricey because they use fresh locally sourced and organic ingredients. Well worth every penny for this truly "mom & pop" business.
Fantastic Korean food. Tough to park
Crazy delicious
First time at new TP location. Ordered my usual Super Bibimbop. As delicious as ever in a cozy updated location. Will be back!
The service was friendly, the food was ok and bathroom was clean. Very small, so you may have to wait for a seat after you order..
Clean fantastic food!!!
The seating is an interesting arrangement but not enough
The food was delicious. I would recommend carryout as there is limited seating.
No need to keep looking. You've found where to eat.
These flavors will surprise and delight you. highly recommended.
The food is so consistently amazing. And the new space is wonderful.
Everything here is fresh and delicious and is made with lots of love. I love the Nirvana Jap Chae and my husband says their Bibimbap is the best he’s ever had. Also definitely a bonus that there are vegan desserts!
Possibly the best Asian fusion restaurant I have ever had the pleasure of eating at. John and Anna are incredible owners and cooks. My family and I will definitely be back!
Food was good enough but certainly doesn't merit their ridiculous prices. And unfortunately woman owner had quite an attitude when we went, not welcoming at all. I certainly found this strange for a business that serves people, especially for first timers. The reviews seem to indicate otherwise but this was our one time experience.
Good fusion flavors but the portions were sized okay. Located inside the Exxon gas station so parking can be stressful.
Currently closed while preparing to relocate. When it was open it was a great place to get bibimbap
Food is always delicious! Great service with a smile too.
Fantastic food. Friendly staff. Can't wait to go back.
Want to give it 5 stars but I'm a newly coverted vegan, so it's taking a minute to get used to no meat. I say that to say that the firecracker chicken might have pushed it over the edge into a 5. Worth trying.
This place is amazing. You will not be disappointed. Sad that it took me this long to get here but I will be back. My husband just said the steak and shiitake mushroom KoReuben is one of the best sandwiches he has ever had!
The best.
Small hole in the wall but excellent food
Stick to your ribs good.
Such a lovely little hole in the wall with a cute ambience! I wish I had visited this place as soon as I heard of it. Instead I ended up moving further away before I got to try it out. The dishes are well portioned and reasonably priced and very tasty.
Great Korean flare... Unusual place.. Food truck type experience inside a gas station
Food was tasty and the restaurant was pleasant and inviting. Full of friendly folks who made for a great visit!
Great addition to the neighborhood. No table service but great little casual place.
Great food
Amazing, authentic Korean food prepared and served with love! I hope they’ll include lunchtime hours during the week someday.
Love the food and feel blessed to live a minute down the street. Creative dishes and large portions. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is warm. It's Quinny Boy's favorite restaurant and I highly approve.
Seoul Food is one of the best kept restaurant secrets in the DC area! Even after moving from Silver Spring to Northern Virginia, I still hop in my car and drive 45 minutes each way to come here frequently. I've brought many friends and family to Seoul Food. They all absolutely love the unique and delicious cuisine. Owners are friendly and a staple of the community. Will keep coming here as long as I live in the DC area!
Great food!
A fair number of vegetarian dishes but most things meat can be added. We had bibimbap and superbowl and both were very tasty and generous portions and reasonably priced. We got carry out and the guy on the phone was nice and helpful. We will go back!
Fantastic!!! Fresh ingredients prepared from the heart. Go, sit at the table and realize a tiny bit of nirvana. Then decide if you want to tell anyone cause it is that awesome and maybe you want to keep a secret.
Ridiculously awesome food. Each bite you take feels fresh and prepared with so much love. The place is in a gas station! Super cool concept and decor but may be a limitation when coming with a group. Also, if you bring your container it is a 50 cent discount. I tried the steak and shittake bowl which was awesome and hubby did the burrito bowl with kimchi and avocadoes, a delish combo. Will be coming frequently!
Can't speak to the food but I was chased out like a stray dog by a woman when I walked in to check out the menu while they were closed between lunch and dinner. She was short with me and very rude. I won't be buying anything from here....
It is way overpriced, and I don't mind paying for good food, but it is definitely not good enough and costs almost $15 for an entree in a tiny, hot hole-in-the-wall place. 16 oz. teas are almost $3! The woman was very rude, too!
Super good
Very legit. So glad they opened nearby.
Great food!
Still thinking about the great sandwich I had there. Their hours are a little irregular so check if they are open before you go.
Delicious Korean bbq. A little pricey but the service was fast and the food delicious. I would highly recommend the bulgogi.
The food is amazing! And the owners are amazingly kind people! 10/10 service and 10/10 food!
Good food, parking is very limited
Just go. Too busy stuffing my bulgogi hole to type a convincing review. Nom, nom, nom.
On one of the coldest days of the year, I ordered the ginger honey tea and a spicy pork biminbap. In an empty place at noon, I stayed warm and savored my lunch. Although the fried egg did not have a runny yolk, the clearly fresh baby spinach and tasty pork made it a bowl worth finishing every bite. The tea was so delicious I had a second cup. Customers did start to show up although most took their meals to go. Yes it is in a gas station but the kitchen and cafe portion is inviting. Glad to have had the chance to enjoy before they move to Takoma Park nnext month.
Pretty small but cozy spot, nicely decorated, fast service, and great local food had the bibimbap with tofu it was delicious, the cinnamon apple and ginger tea was good too had to buy a second cup, Korean s(e)oul food at its best!
This is Korean and Mexican. ....food...the name of the food so unique. ..burito bowl and choice the toping. ..inside she make very good decoration.....you need to try...the best...
Good food
This was amazing! I was looking for a unique find and this totally was it. It was so fresh and had amazing flavors. Loved it and will definitely return! My friend called the atmosphere when "Anthropologie meets Food." Bravo to the chef!
Killer
Yummy, healthy, filling, attractively decorated!
Great Korean food, gluten-free options
This is straight out of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Great Korean style food with a little creativity. Reasonably priced for the quality ingredients. The owners both work there, and are super nice. It's just a unique little restaurant tucked into an Exxon gas station.
Tasty! Appreciated the quick service and vegetarian options. I hope to come back soon to try more dishes.
Small Mom and Pop restaurant with many vegan and vegetarian options for Korean fare. Super bulgogi was flavorful and well-portioned. Be sure to check the location, as you enter through a convenience store to access this small restaurant.
One of the greatest meals I've ever had in my life. I frequent a lot of "hole-in-the-wall" type places, but good God is this one of the best. Located inside of a gas station, this small family owned business is run by a husband and a wife who love to cook. This place was PACKED, and for good reason. I've never had Korean-fusion before this, but if it all tastes this good then man I've been missing out. I don't want to ruin the experience for any of you, so go in blind and enjoy yourselves like I did. You won't regret it. The world needs to know about Seoul Food!
Food is great! We order from here at least once a week. My favorite is the Nirvana Japchae, my husband's favorite is the bulgogi hoagie.
Fabulous food!!!
Love Seoul Food DC. I always enjoyed their old location, inside a gas station in Wheaton. I was excited when I heard they were moving to a new location. Finally visited the new location. The inside is very comfortable and casual. The interior is small, but theyve made excellent use of the space. And most importantly the food is still amazing! On the downside, driving and parking in Takoma Park is a hassle. A delicious bowl of bibimbap is still worth the trip.
I love their healthy tasty food and cool store atmosphere
I love this place! So many vegetarian options! They really care about vegetarians here. And I love their sustainable/responsible attitude. I've loved almost everything I've gotten (bimbimbops are AMAZING, croquettes are amazing, delicious Kim chi. Only thing I didn't enjoy too much was the summer sprouts bibimbop, it was too mushroomy for me.) Their ginger honey tea with grapefruit and maple lemon cookies are to die for! And the owners are really sweet people who obviously take pride in their work.
This little gem is tucked away inside the gas station store in the corner of Georgia and University Ave. All their dishes are freshly made daily. Their desserts are also freshly made and a must have!
This is my second time here. I came 2 days in a row. The first day, I got the Super Bibimbap with pork and chives. They ask you if you want it mild, medium or spicy. I got mine medium. It was full of flavor along with the spiciness. Today, I got the Nirvana Japchae and added chicken. It's so yummy, you don't even really need meat. The Nirvana mix has tofu and cashews in it. Even if you don't like tofu or cashews, I bet you'll like this, because they add a nice texture to the mix. If you're partial to rice, you might prefer the Bibimbap. If you're partial to noodles (me), you'll love the Japchae. ...And they sell 3 different kinds of homemade (vegan) Kimchi!!
Great food. Nice decor even though it's inside a gas station.
The food here is sooo good!!!!!! Lots of options to pick from, but I love it. Definitely recommend!
Delicious, lots of character, and down to earth! Worth the trip outside of DC.
Everytime I go here the food is amazing. They Give extremely filling portions filled with flavorful ingredients.
So good. I eat here at least once a week!!
Food was outstanding as always
Delicious and fun.
Have loved this place for years...Pure culinary magic....
I'm a frequent diner. The food is absolutely delish. My favourite dish is the Nirvana Japchae extra spicy and extra pork. The house lemonade is also really good.
Cute little place. You wouldn't think from the outside that they make amazing food and great service
It is the worst Koran food. Terrible, terrible, terrible....
Damn good Korean food. Medium spicy is just perfect for me here.
This place is a hidden gem! Everything I've had here has been amazing. You can park in the gas station behind the restaurant. Don't be afraid to try their spicy food, it isn't out to hurt you.
Local business with awesome food! Check out the seasonal items and the bibimbap (of course).
Awesome. You got to try them once...it's in a gas station that might make you think twice...we did for awhile, but then we decided to give it a try....so glad we did. Great food. Great desserts. Great owners. It's hard to say which one we like more!
Japchae and bibimbap is divine. Service is on point.
Hands down, top of my list for flavorful and inspired Korean dishes!! A must if you're not sure if you'd like Korean cuisine. I don't believe I'll ever stop singing their praises!!
Impressively creative. Delicious. Great for omnivores and my fellow vegans alike.
Amaizing!
This place is crazy delicious.
What a great addition to the neighborhood! It has super cute decor that makes you feel like you're at your best friend's house, and the staff had excellent customer service. The food was delicious and inventive. Can't wait to go again so I can try more of the menu!
Food is delicious and service is great!
Great Korean food! Friendly owners. Fun dishes that you don't see on many other Korean menus. A neighborhood gem.
Amazing food and amazing people! To the review below complaining about phone orders: there was a lot of pent us demand for this place. It’s not new, it’s a new location. Get a grip.
Pretty awesome subs or fusion sandwiches to be honest, but that comes with a price. Will need more incentive for me to return for another 12-14 bucks sandwich. Tricky spot but park at the gas station, don't even think twice.
Pork bibimbap is on point. Really kind staff and quick service. So fresh!
Great food. Super healthy, delicious, and quirky location. The proprietors cook and serve the food.
This is a wonderful hole-in-the-wall!! The restaurant is located in the Tiger Mart of the Exxon at the corner of University Blvd and Georgia Ave. It is beautifully decorated and has that homey, welcoming feel to it as soon as you walk in. There were bowls and platters of food sitting on the counter, for a visual reference when ordering. There's also a lot of baked goods available for purchase as well. I ordered the firecracker chicken and cucumber super bibimbap. It was so delicious. The food wasn't very hot (temperature-wise), which was different since I've only ordered dolsot bibimbap in the past, but it was still perfect.
The best bibimbap I've had
I love this place. Eat here 2-3 times a week. Wherever they go I'll follow. Success will too!
Like dinning in your living room
Great Korean food with a variety of tastes. From pancakes to bowls of flavor, you'll find a variety of Korean food here.
Website says no phone orders due to high volume. No idea how possible as just opened & the 35hrs/wk that open well timed to be closed when might patronize type of business @ location.
Anna is so attentive to her customers, it's like family. The food is healthy and delicious and fresh. Love everything about this place (even though their food truck doesn't come to Arlington anymore :( ).
I adore Seoul Food. Absolutely fabulous!!
My family and I really enjoyed dinner at Seoul Food. The service was 5 star: personable but not pushy, polite, quick, and good listeners. Good relaxed ambiance with comfortable couches to sit on at several of the tables. My wife had a chicken bowl she enjoyed, but it had a bit too much sriracha on it for her taste. I had the chicken tacos, which were great - but I asked for them spicy and they sure were! My young teen had a Seoul-style quesadilla which was good, but he thought a bit heavy on the cheese. Really good beer and cider/meade selection. I liked the Korean fusion - it worked well with the dishes we got. Reading what I just wrote, it sounds (and was) really good. Nevertheless, I wasn't wowed. Perhaps we were looking for a bit more from the kitchen. Still, I recommend Seoul Food if what I described sounds attractive to you.
Excellent foof selection, all dishes we tried were amazing. Especially recommend the pork bulgogi, wow. Seating a bit cramped but more than manageable, service fast and friendly. Ambiance two thumbs up.
They are truly passionate about cooking great food here! Very friendly and professional and an awesome atmosphere!
Nice and food cart style Korean resteraunt.
Delicious! Tons of flavor. Love this place! Really glad they are taking phone orders again!
