The food was decent, but I think it could’ve used a little more seasoning. The atmosphere was great - the servers were super nice and seemed like they were having a good time. The rye toast I had was very tasty, but I think the hash browns and the hollandaise sauce definitely could’ve used a little more seasoning. The eggs were poached to perfection, though. The cafe was super busy - we happened to luck out and snag the last available table when we walked in. It seems like they don’t stock Coke products, which personally I would prefer over Pepsi products, but I wouldn’t make a fuss about that.

Great coffee and very warm family run atmosphere. Stopped in for coffee and a light breakfast. Wish I was hungrier as the omelets and pancakes coming out of the kitchen looked wonderful. I fully intend to revisit this restaurant the next time I'm in Ocean City MD. As an aside the bathroom was cleaner than my own. As Anthony Bourdain stated, you can tell a lot about the cleanliness of the kitchen by it's bathroom. Limited hours at the moment, breakfast and lunch hours only. Didn't check but it could be because it's not yet season.

Went twice on vacation, one time we were seated immediately, the other rime was like a 10 minute wait. The food was well worth the wait, coffee was amazing and in monster mugs. They even had a New Jersey specialty, Taylor Ham, which is very hard to find outside of NJ. Cool grateful dead memorabilia on all the walls

My friend and I along with my 3 year old daughter went here for breakfast while we were visiting the beach this Summer I was here to eat also about 16 years ago and the food is just as good now as it was then.. Also if you are a Grateful Dead fan then you should go there to check out some of the cool Memorabilia they have while your enjoying your food!!!

The service is slow and the food tastes horrible. Go to Malia's for breakfast, it's delicious! Updating in response to owners post. The negatives: the veggie omelet was tasteless. It was just a mush of "veggies" with egg wrapped around them. The hashbrowns were orange and soggy. The pancakes were flatter than crepes. They are short staffed for the number of tables to serve. The server took 15 minutes to greet us and get drink orders and he never checked on us after delivering the food. We finally had to wave down the other server to let them know there was a problem and get the check. Pros: The food portions are very generous. The bacon is nice and crispy. The staff is friendly when you can get their attention. The other server did offer to get me something else but I declined. After being there an hour, I just wanted to leave and get food elsewhere else. If you are of the older crowd and like average food, you'll enjoy it. If you like fresh homemade food with flavor, go somewhere else. Side note, they only take cash. Not a negative or positive but something good to know.

Very nice place to stay. Beds were comfortable., room was a decent size. I liked how the wash sink was outside the bathroom, leaving more room in shower area. Only issue was the bath towels & wash cloths. They were like sandpaper. I pity the person who get sun burnt & has to use these towels. I suggest taking g your own bath towel & wash cloths. Especially if you have sensitive skin and or burn easily. You can thank me later. Otherwise place is great!!

This is a type of “hole in the wall” but the food is great and they have a wonderful selection for a smaller place. The coffee cups are huge and you won’t be able to drink it all :-). Definitely try this place as I believe you won’t be disappointed. It is difficult to find good food in OC especially at decent prices. This place delivers on both!

This place deserves 5 stars (which is why I gave them 5 stars, lol). I walked in and it was packed. As I looked around to see what table may be available soon, I noticed happy employees. They seemed comfortable, at ease and naturally happy with their job. They were restaurant ad shirts and their own individual personalities. I checked at the hostess desk. My family and I were the only ones waiting at the time but a lot more people came and the hostess changed. Although my name wasn't written down I wasn't forgotten about. The waitress went over the menu for my husband. I was ready because they had a menu posted outside facing the bench we were sitting on. The coffee was the best I ever had. Real coffee, fresh ground. The aroma sensational. And at a regular price

Sahara's breakfasts are great, we took the advice of the other reviews and made sure we had hash browns. I was not disappointed. The selection of dishes on offer is extensive and the coffee plentiful. The staff are pleasant and efficient too.

Im still wondering why this is rated soo high perhaps for the prices but the food didnt not please me at all. Very simple food and the taste was not there. I had the shrimp salad where the shrimp was too seasoned. My partner had the breakfast omlete and the hash was not good. Maybe we needed to try something else but I dont think we will return in the future. Service is ok.

Went here twice for breakfast. The food is delicious! The staff is so friendly and service is fast even during busy times. I liked that there were some smaller portions on the menu too. I've tried a lot of places that serve breakfast and this is one of my favorites. Definitely will be my go to for breakfast when I go on vacation again!

We stayed at the hotel and the first day my fiance said why dont we go there I said nah doesnt look like much, this is the definition of looks can be deceiving!! Bc it was the best breakfast I have had in ocean city!! We kept hearing good things so we decided to try it and I'm glad we did!! There was a small wait but the food made up for it !! Our waitress (I wish I got her name) was friendly, attentive, bubbly and she took very good care of us even tho the place was packed!! I got the eggs Benedict and wanted scrapple instead of Canadian bacon and she made sure they did that for me !! And I highly recommend the eggs Benedict it seemed like a favorite as many other diners had it as well!! The prices were great considering the food portions were huge!! We will add this to the places we make sure to visit when we go!! I highly recommend eating here they arw only opened for lunch and breakfast but I promise u wont be sorry if u eat here!!

I visited this place with my partner over our vacation and the food was absolutely outstanding. My partner ordered the pouches eggs (pictured below) and she mentioned that they were the absolute best she has ever had. The staff was very warm and welcoming and they had a great sense of humor. We were waited on and taken care of with consistency and we were never left alone for too long. The decor of the restaurant is very mellow and it accomadates the interests of all generations. I really enjoyed my meal and experience here and I would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to ocean city. The food is a little pricy but it is definitely worth it. You get an excellent amount of food and great service and it's really close to the boardwalk. I absolutely insist that you check it out!

My son ordered the kid’s-pancakes and they were okay, but not a ton of flavor in them. My husband ordered an omelet, which was good. I wasn't thrilled about this place but I also wasn't upset.

Food was very good. Pancakes were massive and even the kids stack was pretty big (wish the potatoes were a little crisper). It gets very crowded so you will wait (we did 45 minutes) and it's small on the inside so there is not alot of room to move around or on the tables either. Very nice people but service was a little slow as well.

This had high ratings so we went and although it was busy, didn't have to wait to be seated, so that was nice. A little cramped on the inside, but not too bad. I had the Chesapeake eggs benedict and my boyfriend had The Omelette of the day, which was crab and cheddar. Portions were generous and prices were relatively reasonable but the food was just okay and neither of us felt fantastic afterward. The coffee was served in really large mugs, which I thought was cool, but didn't really enjoy the coffee as a whole, maybe a little too strong or bitter for me.

My family and I always make Sahara Cafe one of our stops on our yearly vacation. We love this place. I love their delicious home cooked breakfast. Monday through Thursday from 7 am to 8 am they offer an early bird special for breakfast. The early bird special includes two giant pancakes, eggs (you choose the style), and bacon for $4.99. The rest of the menu items are reasonably priced. I enjoy the friendly, attentive staff and the music themed decor.

Food wasn't great, coffee was excellent, and service was so so. Overall, not a terrible place to go for a decent breakfast. Had a ham and cheese omelette and wouldn't recommend it. It wasn't good at all. I tasted the bacon too. It just tasted off, but didnt know how. Took a while for the waitress to get everything straight with the drinks (she brought the wrong drinks to our table twice). I wouldn't go back but it's a good place to go if you're needing some pancakes.

This is a really nice spot to get some breakfast food. They also serve lunch as well but I came for the breakfast. They give you nice portions for a really good price and to top that off the food is delicious. I would definitely recommend to anyone and I plan on coming again. Serve was fast even though it was packed and busy which is also a plus.

Wonderful place to go for breakfast. Considering we had many other choices, we saw this place and reviews and knew this was the place to go for breakfast. We were sat down quickly and got to order our food with little issues. Considering how busy it was, we didnt mind the wait. Took about 20 minutes even with the weekend rush, and the food was really delicious. We would recommend it fully, and will come back to try the lunch and dinner side soon.

Sorry all. I disagree. It’s not worth waiting 45 min for a table and basically spending more or less 2 hours of my morning to just eat breakfast. Got the steak and eggs; lesson learned. I’d rather bring it my next visit and cook it myself. Faster, fresher, easier. Not for me.

What a great and "grateful" way to start our day at the beach! Large breakfast selection including grits and scrapple. Family and friendly atmosphere with Grafteful Dead concert posters, ticket stubs and pictures. Even if you are not a "dead head," which I am not, you will still appreciate the dedication and design of such a collection. Good food and good service. They even give you a go cup for your coffee so you can take it as you walk the beach. Definitely 5 stars!

All I have to say is that 4 slices of bread was $4. The bill seemed like normal ocean city prices. But I saw that I asked for bread and it was $4 for each slice. I didn't think that was very normal. They got back to me really fast about my review. I respect that. I live very far from here so I'll have to keep it in mind next time I pass in.

When we were visiting ocean city Maryland on vacation, this place was so insanely crowded with no waiting area. We got turned off right away and left. The staff wasn’t very helpful, they actually seemed kinda annoyed. It’s unfortunate because I was looking forward to trying this place. Maybe they were just having a bad day, however it does leave a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe next time, we will give it another shot?
