We've been going to this restaurant since it first opened, and we really love it! First, the Indian food is wonderful -- they have a broad range of vegetarian and meat dishes that are some of the best Indian cooking we have had. They have some regular dishes but they also always have something new and different -- today it was a curried squash dish that would make you a convert even if you never cared for squash! They make their own bread which is a real treat. The quality is excellent and they must get up early and cook everything that morning, based on how fresh everything is upon service. Second, their service is tops -- the owners and their daughter are usually on hand, along with their cooks, who will come and talk to you about today's dishes if you want. The setting is also very nice -- polished hardwood floors, nice tables, cloth napkins and real silverware. Finally, their prices are quite reasonable -- we get their buffet lunch and for two persons with tip its about $28.

Went to this establishment with my family for lunch. What an amazing treat the buffet was! The customer service was great, my kids are very picky and ate 2 plates each. The food from the buffet tasted as if it were cooked specifically for us, tasteful and perfect seasoning. I am vegetarian and had no problem finding a variety of food to satisfy me. Very good Indian food. Although the crispy kale chaat could do with less oil - it is simply not of the same caliber as the similar chaat at Rasika (admittedly, not a fair comparison - Rasika is 3x or 4x as expensive and far more upscale). Nevertheless, overall this place is a good (and cheaper) alternative to the dominant Indian restaurant in the area, Jewel of India. Excellent value for money. However, the restaurant decor, which is very basic, could use a bit sprucing up, but I guess that will happen as/when they become more established (which hopefully will be the case).

We came in to pick up take out and the owner brought mango lassi for my daughters that were with me. She insisted we sit and relax. There was extra food in the order that we didn’t pay for too! Tasty exotic Indian cuisine. Expertly prepared. Plenty of dishes to satisfy a particular taste you might have. They have vegetarian dishes. They also have dishes with chicken and beef. We enjoy their food and often order for carryout. We had an opportunity to attend there Sunday brunch and were well pleased. The owner and managers of the restaurant were super attentive and were kind enough to bring out a birthday ice cream for celebration.

This is a small place and probably that is why food is always fresh and delicious. The owner Maria is a sweet lady and will take care you personally to make sure you are completely satisfied with food and service. Being small in size one cannot compare with Big Indian restaurant but the advantage is good fresh food. If you don't see anything please ask and Maria will try her to accommodate your request. While my wife was gone to India for a month I went for a lunch to try out and end up going there till my came back from India. A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

We live in Burtonsville. We thought to give it a try as some of our neighbors gave positive reviews. WOW i was definitely surprised the food was great! The owner couple were very nice to our kids gave them Mango lassis, treated everyone nicely. Now we don' t need to go Rockville and or Columbia now to get good South Indian Dosas as well as good north India curries anymore. Will be going again.

Been eating here since it opened, a welcome addition to local choices. Have been tired of driving to Langley Pk to get good South Indian/vegetarian food, Khushbu satisfies that craving! Always a full variety of different dishes to choose from on the lunch buffet, so much better than the usual same few veg dishes you see in other places. Plenty of interesting meat dishes for my friends too. Love the chai included w lunch. It's busy in here with a small party today, and service is still attentive and gracious. I've brought a few groups in the past and everybody found something to love. Thanks for bringing real, homemade, great food to Burtonsville!

Tried this Indian restaurant for a buffet. The price wasn't too bad on a weekday. Limited options for the price, however they had multiple options for chicken and veggies. They had good seating options. Taste was average. If you looking for a decent Indian food this is not a bad place to go in the area. Overall decent when compared to others.

We tried khushboo Twice in two months.Both time some issue in food.Today we order dinner from them ,Palak paneer and malai kofta and naan .Palak paneer was not made using any spices or fresh palak.watery frozen spinach mixed with paneer pieces only.on our first visit we noticed biryani was so so. Chutney was bad probably fermented and after pointing it out changed by owner.Garlic Nan was not done properly and it was uncooked from inside.we called them to notify owner Maria and she says sorry. My suggestion to them is just offering another food option is not a service to any guest Instead improve on food quality and I should be offered refund for my entire order. I would not recommend any of my friends or relative to this place for Indian food .

I’ve eaten here four times. This last time the food was bad. Sour and turning rice, sauces and chick peas. The food was inedible. The first visit early last summer for the lunch buffet and was excellent. Fresh and flavorful food. The second visit was late summer for dinner which was also excellent. The third try was early this winter for take out that was ok. The quality of food for the price seemed overpriced. The last visit was two days ago for delivery and was bad. The rice had soured. It smelled and tasted off. The sauces were beginning to turn. The chana masala tasted ok at first but halfway through eating it turned my stomach. The chicken chili smelled like the meat was beginning to rot so I left it. The chicken tikka smelled and tasted fresh, as did the breads. I spent $60 for old overpriced food. This business is going to close doing hints like this. I’m going to speak with the manager tomorrow and request a oarktial refund for the rotted dishes

Albeit quiet when we arrived, the service was very nice. We obviously were not arriving at the peak dining hour, yet we still received phenomenal service. We felt very taken care of during our meal with refills and check-ins from the staff. The food was also pretty good, they have a large menu meaning you should be able to find familiar Indian dishes as well as try something new. Overall, a very good service and I will probably return again.

Super awesome food. We got Lamb Biryani, Chicken Khadai, Masala Dosa and Crispy Green Chat. ALL were very delicious!!! My only slight negative comment to the management would be to up their tea game. With such great food, Lipton hot tea just doesn't cut it. Otherwise, the staff was very helpful and attentive, the atmosphere quaint / small, and inside looks nice. Great date place.

The first thing I noticed was the quiet dining area is kept incredibly well maintained and clean. We sat down and were given a friendly welcome from the staff. They brought us complimentary mango lassi drinks as well as a complimentary order of samosas which were spicy and delicious paired with a cilantro sauce. We ordered several classic dishes to share and a couple orders of naan. When the food came out everything looked incredible and tasted even better. Perfectly cooked rice, soft warm naan, and the butter chicken was the best I've ever had. I also highly recommend the lamb rogen josh, it was perfectly cooked and incredibly tender. Overall a 5 star experience and I will be back to try the buffet soon.

Khushbu has some of the most freshest tasting Indian food I've had. You can definitely taste the freshness of the ingredients they use in the food and can tell they make each dish to order. What truly separates this restaurant from other wanna be Indian restaurants is their South Indian food. Their dosas, idlis and vadas are on point. They have definitely got the recipe for their dosa batter down because I have been here multiple times and have not been disappointed. The owners are also super friendly and their lunch buffet is a phenomenal deal.

Previously named Kushbu, but the staff/ownership has not changed. The name change was meant to help non-Indians not be confused by the name. Kushbu means "fragrance" in Hindi, and when you set foot inside you'll know why the original name was chosen. A very pleasant surprise for Burtonsville. Delicious lunch buffet served daily, cricket matches on the tv's, and friendly staff. The buffet options change from day to day, so it never gets predictable. Ive come here frequently enough that the manager sometimes comps me a mango lassi or gulab jamon.

Buffet ...Not that great This place has the smallest buffet options you can think of for the similar $$ compare to other Indian places. The food is so so....no salad options, no dessert options, no pickles, no crunch. Even tea there is so plain. My daal had hair in it which throw me off completely. Staff seems to be nice. Their palakpaneer was flavorful. Their non- buffet dishes might be good which I haven't tried. Over all I feel it wasn't worth it for me to take a group of Co-workers for buffet.

This is truly a mom and pop run restaurant . The staff is very friendly and attentive. When we sat down we were greeted with free mango drink that was delicious. The price of the food is typical of other Indian restaurants in the Laurel area. The food is excellent!! We ordered a few appetizers, which were good amount of food for an appetizer. The main course was great, but the portions are less then other Indian restaurants. BUT I highly recommend this place . The food does come quickly, which I love. ( I was starving) The meal ended with a free dessert sample Gulab Jamun(which is very sweet I had to check my blood sugar level after eating it) but it was free!!. The have a buffett like other restaurants,BUT they have one on TUESDAY night 5-9 (yeah baby)

I don't usually give a review right after eating but when I do it just had to be that good! Wow a true hidden gem in Burtonsville the whole time! I had their lunch buffet which was inclusive of all the best Indian delicacies i could want including the curry goat which is my all time favorite the mango lassi was amazing and I had to do a double take especially at the end with the gulab jamon-probably the best Indian food i have ever had in a long time! This place is giving Jewel of India, another Indian restaurant in Silver Spring, a run for it’s money. The food is delicious. Definitely a premium taste of Indian cuisin for a discounted price. The place itself is okay. It’s a little further out than I prefer. However, the food makes up for the longer drive. I go atleast three to four times a week.

This wonderful restaurant exceeded all my expectations - the food was delicious and more importantly, the staff was extremely helpful and kind in accommodating my requests. I simply asked for what vegetarian options were available for the platter, and the owner took care of the rest. The main order came with Daal, Alu Gobi, Mutter Paneer, and Palak Paneer. They also included vegetable pakora and samosa for appetizers, and a rice pudding dessert! I had a complimentary masala chai while I was waiting for my food, and it was rich and warming. I had stopped by on my home from a long day at work - the service and food here uplifted my spirit and made my day. I highly recommend Khushbu!
