I just moved here and so far this is my favorite place. The food is AWESOME (with generous portions), the service is great and everything always comes out fast. They even deliver and still, the quality is not degraded. You won't be disappointed!! If you're not sure what to get, I recommend the butter chicken and the Naan with cottage cheese baked in. SO GOOD!!!!!!

Be sure to know you heat tolerance on a scale from 1-10. I had chicken Tikka Masala at level 7. It did not burn my mouth or choke me but suddenly found myself shedding clothing layers ... Lol. Was so good, I finished it all. The side dishes are worth checking out. Add the raita to your meal just in case you need some reprieve from the spice (plus it also tastes amazing) .

The food was delicious. The service initially left something to be desired, as we were seated, brought water, and crisps with dip, but then waited 15 minutes for someone to take our order, even though the restaurant was not full yet had many staff available. The service did improve as the water glasses were never empty and the bussers were attentive.

This is the worst Indian restaurant. I went to eat lunch buffet other day. Tasteless stale food. Waiters were extremely rude, they were moving around like hoodlums. I selected a seat to sit down, a waiter told me that he would not give that seat to me. I wonder why; there was no other customer in the restaurant. A waiter totally refused to bring new food and fruits to the buffet, he told us (my spouse and me) that the restaurant at 1pm that the restaurant will close at 2:30 pm so he will not cater fresh food. I was disgusted with his rude attitude towards a customer. If I were the owner I would have have fired at the spot. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO EAT AT RANGOLI, You GONNA WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Rangoli has the best service you can ask for and it's really hard to stand out with all the quality Indian cuisine in Columbia. I do eat non veg and they knock it out the park but highly recommend the palak chaat. It's flakiness catches you by surprise in a delightful way. This is a place you must try whether vegetarian or carnivore

Absolutely loved it. Place I'm gonna go to satisfy my Indo Chinese craving. However they lack consistency with the level of spicyness. I ordered 1 chilly paneer and 1 hakka noodles, both Indian spicy, paneer was good (edible) but when noodles came, it was super hot(as if you're in inferno challenge). I asked them for another noodles with less spicy. -- Their explanation "Indian spicy" for Indian customer is extra hot and for any other customer is mild hot. Didn't understood the logic what they explained but yes it was super hot. Bottom line except for the rework on the noodles I loved the food, ambience and staff.

Ordered the buttered chicken. It was awesome!!! Tasted great. It has a medium tone lighting to give you a good experience. This would be a good place tip take a date to. As i said before, the buttered chicken was great and complimented the white rice perfectly. And the staff was also pretty friendly. They attended to us in a manner that showed they like the service they provide. I definitely recommend this place.

We usually order delivery or take out with no complaints. The food is delicious, generous and packaged well. We love the butter chicken and tandoori chicken. You can give a spice/heat preference and customize dishes easily. The staff is always nice and prompt.

My wife and I just moved into the area. We are big fans of Indian food so we figured we'd try this place since it's right up the street. Ordered carry out. 2 butter chickens. Portions were large but it was the worst butter chicken we had to date. We ate half of it but dumped the rest. It's unlikely that we will try this place again.

My wife and I have been going here at least twice a month since they opened. Unfortunately, we will not be going back. The service has always been good but the food inconsistency has been an issue for the last 3 months. The vegetarian dishes are extremely spicy one day and then mild the next. They started making all the naan bread in advance and put it on the buffet. Now it's cold and rubbery. They replenish some of the buffet items so infrequently, many times you are left with just sauce and nothing else. It's too bad, since this was the best Indian restaurant in the area. Now we will have to drive to Columbia to enjoy good Indian food. We have mentioned this problem to the wait staff many time but nothing changes. :-(

We were in the area for a weekend to visit friends. Upon the recommendation of some friends we made a 6:30pm reservation for a large party of 10. The service was very slow and my drink order had been forgotten. The food was good, but it may be more suited for buffet style. From the rest of the reviews, the buffet seems to be their strong point. Also, better care should be taken in washing the lentils. Nobody needs pebbles in their samosas.

Great authentic Indian cuisine with a great atmosphere. Some of the dishes take a while to prepare but the food comes out hot and delicious. They also serve a mix of Chinese fare as well. Nestled in the western part of Anne Arundel County Maryland, it's a great choice if you're lodging at The Hotel which is also close to Arundel Mills Outlet mall and Maryland Live casino.

I've only been here for lunch, but they appear to also be set up for dinner. The lunch buffet is delicious. It is not a huge buffet but they have at least 7 entrees, not counting rices and soups, and I've never seen them run out. The quality is always high. I've never had a bad meal here.

Update: I visited Rangoli again on 30 March 2019 with my baby. They provide really good service. I eat dinner in restaurant. I ordered Gobi 65. I love it. It was really good. I really like their Gobi 65. Other stuff that I have ordered it was same as last time and taste was also same. I have planned last moment to eat in Indian restaurant and this restaurant was very close to me. So I place an order to pick up. I have ordered garlic naan, paneer butter masala, and hakka noodles. I would just mention that I got complimentary plain rice with gravy. However, they made sahi paneer in place of paneer butter masala. They did not close naan foil properly. So after around 15 minutes of drive from restaurant. My naan became little hard rather than soft. Complimentary rice was worse. It was like rice made in pressure cooker. Does not feel like the I got rice from restaurant. We can make better rice at home. I was also disappointed in hakka noodles. It was not good. Hakka noodles exactly taste like home made. However, they gave me vinegar, soy sauce and chilli sauce. I made it little better but not too good. I was happy with shahi paneer. I was also satisfied with quantity of gravy and noodles. I gave three star because of good taste of shahi paneer and good quantity. I have also uploaded pictures for reference.

Overall pretty cool place food was good. My only issue was they tried to charge me twice for the same meal. I'd recommend giving each individual person a receipt instead of trying to group an entire table together to avoid this issue in the future.

This place is my favorite Indian restaurant in the DMV. You can really taste the freshness and quality of all of the ingredients. It does take a while for your dish to be prepared, and it is a little (not that much) more expensive than the average Indian place, but 100% worth it every time. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean and inviting, and the food is fantastic, with large portions. Plus they are open on Thanksgiving, so if you'd like to have a non-traditional gathering, this place can't be beat!

Delicious and varied buffet of Indian style dishes. Dishes that we're labeled spicy were a good level of spiciness, and items that were curried but not labeled spicy did not have any eat, so I appreciated the accuracy of the labeling. I especially loved the desserts, a dangerously light and fluffy strawberry mousse and a candied diced/spiced carrot dish.

The restaurant was packed tonight with large parties but they made a heroic effort to seat us as soon as possible. Regardless of having a full establishment, the service was excellent. Stopped by during roadtrip. The food was delicious. We got a Biryani, Paneer with spinach, garlic naan and Chaat Samosa. Everything was great and lots of leftovers for next day. Service was good and they were very understanding when we hadn't finished our dinner by closing time.

Great Indian lunch buffet at this restaurant in Hanover, MD. They have an excellent selection of dishes that rotate daily during the week. My favourites are the Goat Curry and Butter Chicken. The goat has one of the most flavourful sauces, with a savory peppery taste. Naan bread is available directly on the buffet as opposed to having a basket delivered to your table. Perhaps not as fresh this way, but you don't have to wait for refills. The overall quality of the food is very good. Each dish has a unique flavor. Service is top notch, as typical for Indian restaurants. They do a good job of keeping the buffet fresh, your drinks full, and your table clean. The facility has a nice clean atmosphere as well. Great spot for a quick lunch. Note the hours though! Lunch starts at 1130, at little later than most places so plan ahead if you are on an early schedule.

I had the Sunday lunch buffet, at Rangoli on 2/10/2019. (I only had the vegetarian dishes.) Appetizers: I very much enjoyed the Palaak Chaat (Spinach Savories) that were mixed together right in front of us. The burgers with the vegetarian patties were a bit too rich for my palate. Maybe a little bit too much of butter or ghee, I wonder. Curries: Four vegetable curries were generous for choice -- compared to many other Indian restaurants where you can expect only 2 or 3 vegetable curries. The Cashew curry was especially delicious. This dish is a rarity in most other Indian buffets. Naan bread: The naans left at the buffet table were a bit on the harder side, making them tough to tear into edible pieces. Maybe it was the cold wind blowing in through the front door nearby when people walked in or out. Towards the end of my meal, one of the waiters walked by our table and served us with fresh naans. These were soft and indeed much better. I used to frequent Rangoli's erstwhile sister restaurant, Rasoi in College Park. Their naans were fabulously soft. I hope Rangoli is able to revive those soft naans from Rasoi. Desserts: The milk kheer had just the right amount of sweetness to it. The fruit custard was delicious. Dosas: For the most part during my meal, the buffet tray for the Dosas remained empty. Just after I finished my meal, a waiter brought out about 20 dosas. I wish Rangoli had replenished the Dosas more frequently, in smaller quantities. It will be ideal if the waiters can bring hot & fresh dosas and naans upon request to each table. Overall, my family and I enjoyed the buffet.

I have been to this place thrice and opted for the buffet. Buffet is good. Not too many choices in starters for non vegetarian. The only negative side is pricing for buffet is inconsistent. All the three times I have got three different prices.I understand weekend buffet price may increase but I am talking about weekday buffet and the menu was almost identical. Also they charged 18% surcharge on one occasion. Not going again.

This review is based on just the lunch buffet. Maybe the Al-carte has a different experience.An average Indian restaurant. The buffet was decent with good amount of Veg food option. But problem was lot of things were not hot or warm. Like the naan were cold , same with the masala dosa. It was not that busy also. The taste of food was not great but not bad as well. Hence feel need to try the Al carte to get the real feel of the food.

Butter chicken was the best at the lunch buffet, but they really should have chicken tikka marsala available as well...it's a staple. That was disappointing, but the food overall was tasty, including the mango lassi.
