Ate dinner here a few times before food was ok. Recently visited wasn’t impressed at all food and drinks wasn’t good at all. Definitely will not be returning

I had the Enchiladas Tapatias, tried a bite of another dish that I had quesadillas, and the white sauce with the chips and salsa. It was all out of this world delicious. Clean restaurant, great staff. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

The staff were very friendly and attentive, food was awesome. Told them it was my gfs birthday and they brought out a sombrero and sung to her including a free tequila shots. Also the 32 oz Dos Equis was nice and cold.

Prices have gone up. The portion size of orders seems small compared to the price. You get a small basket of chips to share when you order. Another basket is almost three dollars. Food was okay. The steak in the burritos was good and not tough. However the refried beans were runny and a little unpleasant.

The complementary chips with dinner is only one basket of chip. After the first one you have to pay for chips an and salsa. An that I per table. Not per meal since there where 4 adults having dinner.

This review is for the new location in Fruitland. The service was OK and fast, however the food was subpar. The taco meat was watery and kind of tasteless. The sauce on my burrito tasted like some strange tomato sauce and I didn’t like it but it was tolerable. Margarita tasted very strange and old. Container of pre-made mix sitting on the bar for who knows how long confirms this. Saw waiter make a frozen margarita, put most of drink in customer’s glass then pour the rest into a shot glass and drink it himself. Restaurant charges for extra chips if you finish your basket and would like more. Pay very close attention to your bill - they put a lot of the alcohol in the food section which has to do with taxes. Shady practice, in my opinion. There are plenty of other amazing Mexican restaurants in this area, this is nowhere near the best.

I enjoyed having dinner with my fiance here. We were brought warm tortilla chips with two dips that were delicious to start off with. Ordered two Steak Plazas dinners with corn tortillas. The service, and prices are great. Yum Yum

The worst “Mexican” food ever! NOT authentic! The tortillas were store bought- not fresh!! The “salsa” tasted like canned tomato soup- terrible!! The refried beans looked grayish and had no flavor (perhaps from a can as well). Our server was friendly and attentive, but I can’t believe this passes for Mexican food around here.

The service was awkward. The waiter greeted us by telling us it must be nice that we were having a good day because he was very tired. Food was overpriced considering the cheaper ingredients. I like family style Mexican restaurants and like the affordable food they serve, but this place charges approximately 20% more than similar restaurants. They didn't invest it in nice silverware or tableware. I'm not sure why this place is rated so highly.

Food was great. Only disappointment is the waiter would only listen to one request before he ran off so we had to ask him for 1 thing each time. Would be nice to have a waiter ask and with for all replies. Write it down if remembering multiple items is an issue.

The food and margaritas left much to be desired. The nachos were a soggy pile of corn and gas-station quality cheese sauce with a slice of tomato on top — definitely NOT “authentic” — the margs tasted like cheap margarita mix over ice. The staff and service were great, and the place has potential, but the food was unfortunately subpar... hope to see that improve.

The food is prepared well with decent flavors and healthy portions which typically arrives fairly quickly to the table after ordering. My experience and interactions with various wait staff has always been pleasant. The prices are very reasonable.

Yet our waiter was kind, our food was faster than that of our ordering, and when our credit cards zip code didnt work... the manager called the credit card company and fixed everything! Our meal was delicious and the service was fantastic. Chips and dips aren't unlimited any more. First serving is courtesy but 2nd or more is at a very reasonable cost of $3.75. Not a bad price for fresh salsa and chips.

It was "fine" ... the food was, disappointingly, "just okay"... the chimichanga and burrito were rather underwhelming. Our second server was very friendly and attentive. Our first server disappeared right after delivering our meal. Perhaps Plaza Tapatia experiences vary by locations; years ago we visited the Cambridge location rather often and always enjoyed it. Oh, well... maybe this was an isolated incident?

Had dinner with family (6) on Valentine's day. This is the restaurant we frequently visit. Great food, great service great people. However on this particular visit we noticed the service was very poor, took them a long time to bring our food and it was cold by the time they brought it eventually. So overall we rate fie 2 star. Hope they will notice this and make changes.

This is for the one in South Salisbury, or Fruitland. First time coming in to this one, was super excited because I love the one in North Salisbury and this one is closer to our home. Service was okay, but the food is why this review is low. My boyfriends chili was more like soup then chili and my tacos were full of lettuce and cheese and hardly any beef although the beef was very bland...no flavor which is unlike Plaza Tapatia. Disappointed in this experience, currently taking my tacos home to try to give them flavor at home...

Although ive been to this establishment several times it ll be my last time coming.. I felt that the waitress was extremely rude and honestly speaking, discriminating towards me and my wife. I felt extremely disrespected and would never spend another dollar with this restaurant. The waitress attempted to seat us at the very rear of the restaurant although there were several empty tables in the front. When asked to be reseated, she told us that there was nothing she could do.. when we asked for the manager she told us that the manager was not in as if she was saying “ colors come around the back”. .Very disappointing experience.

This was my first and last trip to this ridiculous place. I would rate this place less than a 1, but a 1 is the only option. I ordered the Texas Fajitas for $16.75 which is a good $4.00 more than comparable Mexican restaurants. The portion size was abysmal, the service was almost non-existent and when I asked for an extra basket of chips, I was told that there was an extra charge because people come in, order a taco and eat a bunch of chips and salsa. I ordered a $16.75 dinner and was charged $3.75 for an extra basket of tortilla chips and $2.10 for an iced tea that tasted like the brewed it this morning along with the owner’s socks.

So good! Great food, great atmosphere, staff is friendly. They have really big beers, 32oz or so I believe, for $6! Chips and salsa at the beginning. They also bring a little white dip that I dove into thinking it was queso... surprise! Not sure what exactly it is, but it's cool and sweet and a bit spicy. I found that I really like mixing a bit of that with the salsa too. Sounds odd, but was very good. The main dishes we had were good too. Have been back twice now and will continue!

Took almost 1 1/2 hours to get our food. Once we got the food, it was good but some of our food was cold. When confronted about how long it took to get our food, we were dismissed by the waiter and offered nothing in return for our patients and time. We were told they were busy and got us our food as fast as possible.

DON’T EAT HERE !!! - 6/9/2019 - Stale chips. Slow service. When I asked for replacement chips they tell me they were going to charge me $3.75 for a fresh basket of non-stale chips. When I expressed the insanity of that rule the server told me that there were cameras everywhere and she would lose her job. It was the Boss’s orders. I asked for the boss and there was no supervisor available to speak to me the unhappy customer. I never saw my server again and had to wander up to the register without a check and fumble thru the settling up process without a bill.

Nothing fancy but they have pretty good food, nice staff, and decent prices*see edit*. We always enjoy the fajitas for 2. Edit: We recently visited again and did not have the same experience that we usually do so I had to adjust to 3 stars. The main reason is that its not as good a value as it once was. First they only give you one basket of chips for the table and charge nearly $4 for any additional. $4 is too much for a small basket of chips and seems like you're being nickeled and dimed. There are also other mexican restaurants in town that still offer free chips. Second our waiter was inexperienced and visited our table a ridiculous number of times asking if we are ok. I appreciate him trying to be attentive but it got to the point where it was just interrupting our meal (we are talking every 5 mins or less) but that wasn't a huge deal. Then there was the price which has gone up about 10% in my estimation which the food and atmosphere just does not warrant. We will probably still visit occasionally if we have a craving for fajitas or their white salsa but we probably won't visit regularly like we once did with the new prices and policies.

Always a great place if you're hungry. Chips and salsa right away to take the edge off. We had the texas fajitas which were delicious. Steak shrimp and chicken wrapped in flour tortilla. Quick food and excellent service.
