Pete's Grill Is Everything… I love ❤ there food and the staff are awesome. .. Always Smiling
Pete's Grill was every bit as good as they say it is. The waitress was friendly, courteous, and efficient. The food was great!! Their secret sauce had a bite to it and complimented the food well. The pancakes were fabulous! Eat here!! You won't be disappointed!!!
Fast friendly service, great value. You have to pay for parking at about $0.50 per hour
Great customer service! The food was sooo good! Limited seating but not a long wait time.. Will definitely visit again
Food is always good. No complaints
Very busy place for a good reason. A Baltimore tradition.
Great service, friendly staff, and top notch food. Don’t miss this place while you’re in Baltimore.
Good food doesn't accept credit cards only cash
The line to get in looks intimidating but it moves quickly. It's almost impossible to get seating for more than three ppl since you sit at the counter. That being said, this place is fast and fantastic. Don't go after 130 pm as they run out of the daily specials. A Baltimore staple and hidden gem, this place should be on your to eat list!
Bacon egg & cheese , fries & frenchtoast was good .
Its NOT A LIE !!!! , they ARE THE Best breakfast and burger spot in Baltimore!!!!! I need them in Columbia but weekend are good for now lol prices are GREAT because I'm Cheap and they Don't skimp you out your food portion, they do a wonderfulllll job
Best breakfast in Baltimore
Come on mane it's Pete's Grille best freakin breakfast on the east coast. Why youhad to go spoil it and ask me about it like I'm rubbing it in on the folk who has never been there. Next time let me eat and reminisce about it in peace. It's dang good y'all. There, I said it motherlover! Smile!
Omg the food is great, and they get you in and out and they serve generous portions of food
This place has won the "Baltimore's Best" Award, several years in a row. It's a small diner that serves excellent back fast & lunch. The food is very consistent and will not disappoint.
Attentive ppl and pleasant
Food is always good. Fresh and hot
Food was ok just wait time and area not so good
Old skool food.
Great food, great prices, great service. Never have we been disappointed when we left there.
Great food! Great price! Great staff !
My favorite breakfast spot! Nothing fancy and always delicious!
We went on a Saturday early evening and they were closed.
Great food , need more space for the crowds and wait time.
Good food & fast service
Over priced good food
Over priced food is just ok...
Nice place with decent prices. It is kinda small so be prepared to have to wait if its prime time. When I went I got pancakes and eggs. I plan on going back.
Amazing. Great basic breakfast food. Atmosphere is straight out of a movie.
Delicious and great location! Varied menu with enough options to keep you coming back for more.
Terrible service. Waitress didn't give me my change back, said that she thought it was the tip. The nerve. The food was just ok. Won't go back
I would give Pete's a 3.5, if possible. The portion sizes are good and the food is like a breakfast food make at home. Kind of like a greasy diner. At least they take credit cards now. About a year ago, iit was cash only.
The food was nice and so was the staff.
Great food, fast and nice service!
"Best Breakfast in Baltimore"!! First time here but highly recommend!! Excellent food..loved the pancakes! Super speedy service!!
My every Saturday morning place. Feels like home. Service excellent and food excellent. The owner is hilarious and they give you a punch card when filled you can redeem for $7, off your meal. Small space but customers make you feel like family.
Nice and homie like, the Belgian waffle was great!! Great customer service and we didn't wait long like other restaurants. And the most wonderful thing of all we didn't have no complaints or send backs. I will definitely come again!! ; )
I love this place. It is my GO TO for breakfast! CLASSIC BALTIMORE!!! I' m getting new tile backsplash in my kitchen, can't use it to cook, no problem! Head to Pete's Grill. Mon-Thurs, 7am to 11am I think, they have a dine in special, pancakes or french toast with 2 eggs and your choice of meat! SO GOOD!!! GREAT DEAL!!! I just love it there!
I recently placed an order using doordash. I got a breakfast platter with potatoes, scrapple and eggs. The scrapple was cooked perfectly however the potatoes were awful. I bit down on huge chunks of onion thinking it was a potato. The cutting was very sloppy. Definitely not worth $9
Dont get to go here as much as I use to. This is my son and I sit down and talk spot. The whole crew here know face and names of the regulars. Food is good and the service is great...Ms Debbie, Maggie and Chef are always consistent. Love this spot.
Best diner food in the city with best diner prices. And yes they have turkey sausage
I went there with my family. I ordered their new morning special, which includes either pancakes or french toast, two eggs, and your choice of a breakfast meat. I got french toast with bacon and my eggs scrambled. The food was fairly good! However, after sharing with my family, I have come to the conclusion that the best combo is french toast, scrambled eggs(ask for it with cheese), and sausage. I really liked the decor, which included lots of funny signs.
Best breakfast spot in Baltimore
Great food and service!
I love Pete's Grille! Excellent staff, it's always clean in there and seriously the best breakfast in the area! Note: No credit or debit cards- it's a Cash Only business so be prepared.
Friendly atmosphere, waitress was nice and the food was good.
It’s a local favorite and trust me everything is good, but the mood is rush in and rush out. Very cramped. Also the food is good, but the prices are a bit much. Especially for the breakfast food. Eggs are not that expensive yet they charge too much.
Great place for breakfast a real baltimore experience
show up, eat, go. good food, no frills, parking always easy. waitresses need a dental plan so go to Pete's.
Food was pretty good, waitresses weren't very friendly. Fast service and the chef was a pleasure to watch in his efficiency. Small place with street metered parking.
Awesome! The food is great here. The price is right. The customer service is excellent.
Excellent food and service
Friendly and quiet and has really good food
So good!! Great classic diner food & fast service. Will definitely return
Used to live walking distance and it was my regular weekend spot. Moved to a different area in the city so I don't come as often as I'd like, but still make the trip up every so often. It is busy on the weekends, so plan accordingly, but worth the wait! Staff is friendly, food comes fast, and it's the best breakfast in town IMO. Used to be cash only, but they take cards now!
Best breakfast out I have had in a long time.
Prompt, friendly service with delicious eats! My chocolate chip pancakes were simply scrumptious. My scrapple was made perfectly, a little crisp on the outside and not dry but soft on the inside.
This is an established business on Greenmount Ave and it is very old style diner vibes. It is CASH ONLY, be aware of this because the first time I came, I didn't see any signage stating that and it was annoying to have to run across the street to the creepy rite aid to use the ATM. It is bar seating only, so if you're coming during peak time, you might not be able to get two seats next to each other and the seating is rather snug. Don't bring a lot of stuff with you or you will be grazing your neighbor more than you probably want to. The food is made quickly and right on front of you! The staff have been pleasant not overly nice but not rude either. If you keep those things in mind you should have a good experience
Great place for breakfast, good food, great service
Good food, good staff
The food here is ALWAYS grrat..never disappointed from eating in or delivery
Nice foods Good
Awful experience ordered my food and they had my order all wrong
Cozy little hole in the wall. Breakfast is delicious and a good price, and they cook everything right in front of you. Staff is friendly and likes to chat if you want to. If you're from out of town, try the scrapple!
The food is awesome!!
Great food and service!!
Great place to eat and the staff is very friendly...
Ate there for the first time this morning based upon the other reviews. LOVED IT. I was able to get a stool for me right away. Staff was right there getting drinks pretty quick. I ordered a breakfast sandwich, grits, and coffee. Coming from the south, grits can be ruined if you don't know what you're doing. These came out very good and no strange looks when I asked for a little thousand island for my sandwich (I like sandwich spread on morning sandwich but they don't have that up here, so you have to improvise). All that for about $10 and I was full. Plan to go back again and try their pancakes or waffles.
Great fast service.
It's really cool, but my eggs weren't fully cooked. But other than that, it was nice, and eggs aren't usually undercooked so it's an amazing place.
Great place good atmosphere good food
Went only for job application. Food and service looked really good!
Anybody know what type of coffee they serve?
Yes, Pete's, I occasionally stop by here for breakfast. A very warm and friendly atmosphere and the food is delicious.
Pete’s Grille is a diner “sit at bar” restaurant. Food was quick and delicious plus the staff is extremely friendly! We were out of town folks, and our waitress let us try scrapple and pork roll. What a tasteful experience, never having it before. Would possibly stop back to try their lunch.
Always GOOD!
It seems like the perfect place to inspire an NBC sitcom.
Good customer service. The grids were bland. I ASKED for a egg white omlette and did not received it. Miles away before I noticed.
I have never had problems with Petes grille before today. I ordered an omelette with home fries and bacon. My FIRST order came with just the omelette and nothing else. The omelette was cold and undercooked. There was runny egg all over the bottom of the container. I called the restaurant and got refund for the first order from Uber and reordered. MY SECOND ORDER WAS WRONG I didn’t have cheese in my omelette and the bacon was so soggy it literally could have been raw. and there’s things in the omelette I specifically asked not to get! How do you mess up twice in a row?!? I called to let them know what happened and the waitress who handled my order told me that it was right and to not order again if I had problems with the food. Will never order/go here again this is absurd.
Fast sevice and great food. The price is very reasonable
I just went there today with two of my coworkers. It was my first time. I ordered over medium eggs bacon and hash browns. The food was good but however, while I was waiting I observed the cook cooking my food without gloves. I continued to observe our server Maggie put on gloves while she made our toast, which prompted my coworker to ask Maggie why the cook wasn’t wearing gloves. Maggie said the Cook doesn’t wear gloves. She told the Cook that customers were requesting he wear gloves. He put the gloves on to finish our meals but as soon as he was done with our food he took the gloves off and continue to cook for the rest of the restaurant. For the record Maggie was the only person to put on gloves while preparing food. The other waitress didn’t use gloves at all while making people’s toast. I was very uneasy eating the food, I prayed over it longer than I would normally say my blessing. I will not be returning. It’s unsanitary for people to cook for the public without gloves. Shame on that cook for preparing food in that way. Not worth the risk. Do better Pete’s.
Awesome early morning food spot!
This place is billed as Baltimore's best breakfast, which is accurate. The menu is simple - classic diner food like chipped beef and gravy, pancakes, scrapple, eggs and bacon- but the food is cooked to perfection. The space is tiny and usually full, so you may have to wait until a spot opens up and it would be hard to sit a large party together. The waitresses do a good job of managing the space and you'll get seated pretty quickly and served in an appropriate amount of time.
Such an amazing local place full of charm with the best blueberry pancakes and biscuits and gravy (just know the later will sell out!). Love stopping here after the Waverly farmers market on Saturday. It's the kind of no frills comfort food that just tastes like it's made with love. Perhaps my favorite breakfast in Baltimore!
Lovely biscuits and gravy. Good, solid, old fashioned breakfast place. There will be a wait. Excellent service. Coffee is drinkable.
Had a reuben delivered through Postmates. It was the best tasting one I've ever had!
The breakfast was awesome, the service was great. The wait time was minimal. They work like a fine oiled machine.
Always good consistently. Repeat customer. Good prices, great food, small seating area (bar stools). Still worth the wait time, which is usually shirt for us. (Party of 2 or 3 usually) to top it off I can watch them cook which makes it a more sanitary experience. They frequently wash their hands too. The chef is awesome.
Always have loved the food there..... thinking about it I'm going there tomorrow so save us a seat....
Great local brunch spot! No alcohol but the food and price makes up for it. Big portions and they now take credit card (but cash is preferred). Only open during morning and lunch hours. Seats are limited but you can always carry out.
Loved this place. We are from Ohio, staying with Baltimore family. They recommended it. 2 eggs, 3 sausage links and 4 French toast halves. $7.95. Not bad. Counter service, excellent.
Pete's Grille is unapologetically true to what it is. Seating is determined by, well, how many seats there are at the bar. If there aren't enough seats to accommodate you or the group you're with, be prepared to wait or try somewhere else. Such as it is, I'd recommend sticking with groups of four or fewer. However, service is quick and done within eyesight, and the people who work this fine establishment are friendly as can be. This truly is a local joint, and the best one for breakfast in Baltimore too.
This place is great for a quick, simple breakfast. I have not tried their lunch. It is not a world class place but a simple but well done dinner experience. I take it back, it is a great world class dinner. Love it.
Bad customer service, I felt rushed and the server at carry out had an unhelpful attitude it’s my 1st & last time eating here.
Clean nice to meet and greet Grill friendly atmosphere
Very nice and courteous staff. The food was great and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was very homey.
Get here early! Seating is limited, but if you can find a seat, you are sure to get an excellent, no frills American breakfast.
The end of an era at Pete’s. We are 3 hardworking neighborhood people who (along with our family and friends) will never go there again. Pete’s used to be our favorite place to eat in Baltimore, a great place to relax at the week’s end every Saturday morning after the farmer’s market. Over almost twenty years, we’ve seen owners come and go, and each time it’s been a pretty smooth transition, but under this new management and new rules – the main one being “to hell with the customer; the dollar is king; the seating chart preempts common sense” – Pete’s is a huge disappointment. Over the years, we became familiar with the staff; they knew who we were and got to know what we ordered (We even supported the waitress Debbie when she and her sister left Pete’s and opened a nearby restaurant, Two Sisters Grille I believe it was, frequently bringing our family and out of town guests there to eat). On their busiest days, Pete’s always made an effort to make sure the three of us were seated as soon as the seats opened up (or were very close to opening up, in which case they would hold off seating two people who came in after us if it seemed that one of those seats could be added to two other seats opening up and would allow the three of us to sit down). We knew seating at the counter could be tricky and that we would sometimes have to wait a while, but we also knew the waitresses were aware of who was finishing up and that they were always trying to find a way to get us seated. Because of this, we didn’t mind the wait. We, on the other hand, always made sure we tipped the waitresses well, gave extra tips on birthdays and holidays, and tried to be aware of our time at the counter and others waiting to sit down. Today, they were so intent on following the rules that no effort was made to see that we were seated. Finally, after quite a wait, when two seats opened up, two of us sat down, and when the two seats next to us opened up, where our 3rd person could sit down, they called “party of two,” and refused to let our friend sit down . . . even, I would add, when the people they called to sit down said they would wait because we were there first and had been waiting so long. We’ve seen people walk out before, but they were usually folks who didn’t understand how the seating worked at Pete’s. Today, we walked out because we do understand, and couldn't understand the disrespect that was shown to us. Well, things change, but karma, as they say, is a “b***h.” The reality is that there are more things to life than the dollar, loyalty being one of them. What used to be a good thing at Pete’s has gotten lost, but that’s on them. Management should watch how it deals with customers because it certainly doesn’t hurt us in any way. There are so many good places to eat in the city, we would never spend another dollar at a place that doesn’t respect its customers. Today we went over to One World (where we often go for dinner) and the breakfast and service was wonderful. Pete’s loss, our gain.
Manager nasty attitude, chewing and popping gum
Great place. Just ask for Maggie May. She'll hook U up!Peace
Great food and atmosphere
I ordered through Door Dash delivery about 7:15am on 3-27-19 and my breakfast wasn't so great at all. This is my 3rd. x ordering and my 2nd x not receiving what I paid for so I'll step back from Pete's Grille and I will not be ordering anything at all and I just don't have money to throw away.
Love their breakfast. Great customer service
Great food and great service! Not a lot of room for seating but my boyfriend and I didn’t have to wait long for a seat (~5 min). Had the short stack with blueberries, home fries, bacon and eggs. My boyfriend had the short stack with chocolate chips, eggs, bacon, and turkey sausage. It was filling and absolutely delicious!
Great place good food
Really good food and nice folks
Iconic Baltimore restaurant that's been around since your grandparents' time. Open 7am to 2pm, serving only breakfast and some lunch selections. Terrific breakfast! Next time, I'll try their legendary Belgian waffle.
I love this place!!! Affordable and the staff super friendly and the food was fast and so good
Good food served hot and fast! Love that it's all counter service.
Darlene is a wonderfully personable manager. She is very customer service oriented & inviting. I had read good reviews about Pete's & stopped in for a bowl of soup. Unfortunately, they do not offer soup. Darlene was most helpful in suggestion local soup cafes. The food looked delicious! Repeat customers were enjoying large, tasty burgers, fries, sandwiches & shakes. Can't wait to try it, soon. I had a bus to catch. I'll arrive early, so please reserve a stool for me, Darlene. Thanks for your hospitality. It was most appreciated.l
Great food and service. Pleasant atmosphere
great breakfast comfort food. pretty busy in the mornings and in a small space.
Visited here while staying in Baltimore for a few days. The service was exceptional! Ordered a veggie omelette w/a side of potatoes. The food was delicious and came out quickly! I’ll def be back!
Good food good service reasonably priced.
Love me some Pete's Grill. They accept Credit Cards now!!!!!!!
It's a local favorite. Rushed mood where you get in and get out. It's cramped and everyone has to sit on a tiny bar stool. That's not a huge problem as I don't need to sit and eat forever. I'm all about eating my food and going. It was just tight. My scrambled eggs came out with a very runny center. Not cooked at all so I had to send it back. My mom asked for her pancakes to be cooked thin. She mentioned it twice when we ordered, but they came out thick. When she said something, the waitress told her they don't make them per order of the customer because there's only one batter type. Would've been nice to know that when she specified that she wanted them thin. My pancakes werent cooked all of the way. The center was all batter and blueberries. I didn't feel like sending another thing back so I just put the uncooked portions to the side. My cooked eggs and sausage were good and the portion of the pancakes I ate tasted pretty good as well.
Eggs were fried and not scrambled like I asked for placed is cramped I left and didnt eat one bite of food cook should learn how to scramble eggs
Not a lot of room but the food is out of this world. I had the chicken and waffles and they were amazing. Heard Michael Phelps are here sometimes and I can see why. Certainly a hidden gem.
Great food been going here for about a month always tried to get there but they close at 2pm
A few weeks ago my daughter and I were in the Baltimore area for a Lacrosse Tournament. We finished our games early on a Sunday, and a group of us decided it was time to grab breakfast before embarking on the trek back to Texas. Fortunately, with a little help from Google, we stumbled upon Pete's Grille. At first, I could tell the young players were uneasy about the place - there are few if any diner-like establishments in the Dallas area, and it was apparent the girls had never bellied-up to a real diner experience. They quickly warmed to the place after we were seated. The breakfast was excellent, served fast, and coupled with conversations with both the wait staff and the owner. Highly recommend for an authentic old-school diner experience.
Awesome food. The only bad thing there's only a bar table to sit
The food is wonderful the atmosphere is nice is a nice place to sit and eat breakfast or lunch
Good break fast i ordered sausage platter
My pancakes have black particles on them. that looks like FECES. I called and the female manager was rude. She claimed they don’t usually send dirty food out but it’s busy. Maybe it’s me but when is it ever acceptable to send food out that looks like some wiped their FECES on it? I would give them less than one star. However, this is the lowest I can rate this nasty place. They need an inspection ASAP!!
Very good n delicious food.
Yummy. And huge portions- you'll be full all day! Best waffles in town, always fast and efficient service, and great coffee. Perfect diner experience.
Best sit in breakfast in the East Baltimore area. Good luck finding a seat though
Trendy. Very busy, be prepared for a wait. Breakfast lunch only. Good food. Closes early. No booze. Breakfast/diner bar seating only. Parking is difficult on Saturdays when the farmer's market is across the street
Wonderful food, good service very friendly.
Great food fast service one of the best in Baltimore
Always a decent breakfast at a cheap price!
Great breakfast food, love the fresh home fries
U will be very satisfied the food is gd n u get plentiful
Good food specials, friendly place to eat breakfast/lunch.
Really good food.
Nice little hole in the wall. Gets very busy at times.
Ugh, the food is sooo good. Especially when you're craving breakfast food. The pancake are so fluffy and good! I wish they had hash browns or potatoes. To go along with the breakfast platter.
First time here and wont be the last . Everything was very good and our server maggie was super friendly. The resturant is clean and thats what I love . The food was A1 . If you want a good breakfast / lunch , this is where you should come . Good job team !
Old time diner w/counter service. Best pancake i have had in Baltimore. Service is fast and friendly...food is yummy!!!!
Yummy diner food.
Awsome waffles.
Good food. Consistent. Takes cash only. Seating is a little uncomfortable because it’s a lunch counter.
Tasty bang for buck! It's a small diner on the corner that really stands out from the rest of the area. There is a constant flow and will likely be busy on weekend morning. Take out options are solid and service kind and swift. Enjoy =)
Best greasy spoon (just slang, place is always clean) in town IMHO. They close at like 2pm but it's worth the effort to eat there. My current favorite is the waffle & side of scrapple, but it's all good really. PS do not use the ATM at the nearby 7-11, the surcharge is highway robbery.
Great food lived customer service prices are a little high for the area greens across the street have excellent food n customer service and a platter is only 6.00 Pete's is 12.00
Good morning food
Awesome. I did the UberEats deal and went with these guys because they were highly rated. I was not disappointed. Excellent food at an excellent price. Highly recommended.
Excellent food and swevice
Good food, portions are great, well priced. Friendly staff
Good eggs, average potatoes, very thick pancakes and waffles. Expensive.
Good food
The best cheesesteak I ever had.
It's Simply Delicious
The omlet was grewt, the home fires were not. The hime fries dis not have a drop of salt or pepper on them and its just not the same when you add it after its cooked. I would try it again hopefully it was just a one time thing.
Nice long breakfast counter. A nice break from fast food chains. You know you're in Baltimore.
Omg breakfast food is so good here. I think my grandmother is in the back cooking it!!!! Grami is that you, I knew it!!!
Great breakfast! Delicious home fries and scrapple.
